Very disappointing with this Walmart in Grants nm. It takes an hour to get there, therefore i look up there website if they have what i need. The first time i went there was for the tire shop. Which the websits said they have. Once i got there no tire shop or car department. No i look up specific hydraulic fluid and Walmart in grants came up. Once i got there yesterday, again on hydraulic fluid that matched my research. The website is totally unreliable and as to the prices, they are way to hight for a Walmart. Just not consumer friendly. read more

There are only a few locations in the area where you can get groceries and basic needs so the competition is slim. The staff has always been friendly when we go in. They may have problems with theft because they check receipts when you leave. There are some days where stock is low which is unfortunate but overall they have a good selection. It's pretty much all self check out at this location which is a personal preference whether you like it or not. The 4 rating is compared to other Walmarts I've been to... walmart is a major retailer and everyone has an opinion about them... in this small town there just isn't a lot of choice. I think they do their best and for that I gave them 4 stars. 5 star would be given If they offered other services like eye glasses, health care, hair cutting, car service... this walmart doesn't have any extras. No coffee shop, restaurant... etc. it would be great if the company would invest more and upgrade this location. read more

This was a better Walmart than we've seen on our recent travels. It was laid out with more space in the aisles and we didn't feel too crowded even though there were plenty of shoppers in the store. We were able to do all our shopping without feeling rushed. They didn't segregate their alcohol like other Walmarts in New Mexico. We will likely shop here again before we leave town. read more

This Walmart, in my opinion, is less crowded and more clean then the one in Gallup, NM. Customer service is okay but I would still come back. Prices are affordable. That's just my own opinion. read more

I was randomly here and found everything I needed. This location is big and one can find almost anything here: household cleaners, clothing, books, electronics, etc. The store was well-organized and it was pretty easy to find everything I was looking for. read more

This is one of the better Walmart's employee friendliness wise that I've been too. They also allow truckers to park and come in to shop. Which I love! I've parked here 3 times now, go in shop and leave. People that drive cars(we call em four wheelers) sorry for the truckers that are jerks and inconvenience you when they are trying to back in even though they saw you before setting up the back, not all of us are rude like that. The store is clean and so far has been well stocked, have found everything I want, i primarily stop here to stock up on produce to cook while on the road. read more

I spent around $350 here the day I stopped on my way home, over 21 hours away. A cashier rang up my items (did not use self check out). When I was about 2 hours from the store, I discovered a missing item around the cost of $10. I called the store and the paid-for/listed on my receipt item had indeed been left behind/not added to my cart. GORDAN, the manager I spoke with, said it is not Walmart's policy to do anything except have me come back to the store to pick up the item. No refund allowed on my credit card (even though that found the item that had been left), no mailing me a check when everything was processed, nothing but the store's policy. I explained I could not come back due to the distance I'd traveled and direction I was heading. I asked for an exception given the circumstances. He repeated the policy like a parrot. I asked what he would do if he was in my situation. His response? "I wouldn't have left it at the store!" This I would understand if I had done self check out. Not funny coming from a store manager with no empathy for my situation. read more

We wandered into Grants in search of camping supplies. It's a decent-sized little town with a lot of shops -- or shop-sized buildings -- along the main street running parallel to I-40. We were surprised to not find a single hardware or camping-supply place. A lot of businesses appeared to be shut down. When we reached the other side of town, we found a Walmart. Seemingly out of options, we went inside. The store was clean, spacious, and well-stocked. I bought groceries, hair bands and two giant plastic tarps. They had pretty much everything a person might need. I don't like Walmart. I don't like how it crushes competitors in small towns. However, I don't know that Walmart did that to Grants, so I'll give them the benefit of a doubt and rate them three stars. read more

I have called this store 5 times, no one can properly transfer the phones to the department that I need to speak with. On the 6th call they finally informed me that the one person working in that department is on lunch for another 20 minutes read more

Cleanest Walmart I've ever been in. Stopped in here for a snack on our road trip...had all the snacks we wanted and fresh fruit. Love super Walmart on road trips! read more

I love this Walmart!! I've found so many plus sized cute skirts and cute tops. The employees are friendly and the store is very clean, and they have fish aquariums and mini crabs, I know right?! They're soooo cute! Best Walmart I've ever been to!! :-) read more
