A few supplies and I checked out the parking area to consider it for tonight's overnight. There was one other RV but it seemed a bit loud. Instead, I drove down the road to the Cracker Barrel. Inside the store, well stocked and tidy. The restrooms at the front were being cleaned and were closed off for at least 15 minutes. In general, this is an awful supermarket and the only reason I have used it is because it is cheap. This one specifically, has sold me a block of pepperjack cheese that did not have any pepper, I have tried to return it and now they blocked that, I will avoid this specific one until I leave this toon, which will be soon! Every time I ordered things to be delivered, unless they were DVDs, they were cancelled. A nightmare!!! read more

I'm going to give this Walmart a very unusual five-star review. They're open on New Year's Eve. The store is well stocked. The employees are friendly. And the place seemed reasonably safe. There was one vagrant hanging out asking for money, but he seemed harmless enough. read more

We came in for three things and they didn't have any of them so it was a fail. Lot of the isles were empty when we visited at 9pm. Living in California I have never seen the liquor department locked up. There was a nice employee watching me take a photo probably thinking what is that crazy women doing. I guess you can't buy alcohol in Gallup on Sundays. I don't drink alcohol so that was fine with me. Wish we had better luck here. read more

Not much has changed. The automotive department is difficult to contact. Getting service is a mess. The stock is not premium, meaning that the smaller store in Flagstaff has much better choices in merchandise. Most of the staff is friendly enough. Be careful at the first of the month and on weekends. Try to shop early morning on weekdays. It's gets crazily busy on paydays and weekends. This Walmart was so congested that we could barely move around in the store. The sign on the front of the building said, "Grand Reopening" so maybe everyone was there for that. I'm not sure. We struggled to grab a few things and then exit as quickly as possible. Outside near the edge of the parking lot were a couple of rough looking RV's. One of them was nearly broke in half from front to back. The other had cut off the back end to create a pickup truck bed at the back. We thought they may just be stopping for the night, but we drove by the area a few days later and they were still there. This Walmart must be super tolerent to let them stay that long. read more

I agree with everyone about how busy it is. It's crazy. Trust me. If you are in there to grab a few things you won't wait too long. I tried buying a tv this morning and they had no on to haul it out for me nor were they willing to give any other assistance the lady just shrugged her shoulders and told me to come back in the afternoon which I did. The electronics department was slammed so I proceeded to the checkout lane instead. I also agree if you want peace and quiet go there as early as possible. I went the other day at 630. You'll probably think this is funny but I wanted to walk somewhere after Carl's Jr. and this seemed the easiest way to do two things at once. I took a look at a lot of items. No one seemed to be even remotely happy, which is sad. I wondered how it would be if the store had competition. Very large Walmart and to avoid the crowds, I stopped around 6:30 am. Several RV's camping in the lot so they are RV friendly. Lots or remote camera and portable security cameras around the parking lot! Not used to that, but I suppose those overnighting in their RV feel pretty safe. Staff was busy stocking shelves. I think this is something that should be done at 3 am (24 hour Walmart) rather than this time of the morning. I had to step over boxes and things in the isles but in all fairness, one employee did apologize. I did ask for assistance and the person I spoke with was partially helpful. They did not have what I was looking for so off to Home Depot I went, where I successfully scored the items I was looking for. read more

I would like to commend our WalMart during the Corona Virus. Our WalMart has never been the friendliest but I noticed during this time employees seem to be a lot nicer. I believe they have done a great job with number of people in the store masks and social distancing. The only thing I notice is even though they are closed at night. There is still so much restocking during the day throughout the whole store. We recently came back from the East coast where there was no masks or distancing in place. Keep up the good work with Covid19 mandatory orders. read more

Do not trust your vehicle with this place. Sloppy, lazy, incompetent employees in the auto center. So disappointing and a waste of my time. On vacation and I have to bring it to another Walmart Auto in another state to fix their mistake. Don't do it! Turn around! read more

What the first reviewer says is very true. This Wal-Mart is very busy, no matter the time of the month, but the busiest near the 1st of the month. The place is usually a mess, but it's also probably the only place to get the things you need in this area! So, like it or not, if you live within a 90 mile radius of G-town, this is your place! read more

The cashier had bagged my eggs separately and forgot to mention it to me after I had paid. Well I drove home only to discover that my dozen eggs were missing. When I came back the next day to claim my item, it was a nice suprise to find thst they had logged the incident. Within 5mins, I was in and out and done with my business with no fuss. Gallup Wal-Mart is a shame, but most of the locals have to shop there for various reasons, low prices being top of the list. This Wal-Mart is dirty, crowded, under staffed leading to half hour or longer in any line, any day of the week. And ALL locals know to avoid Wal-Mart during first of the month when our population swells to double or triple due to government checks that natives and others receive and cash/spend at Wal-Mart. I mean no disrespet to the dine, rather I feel Wal-Mart has made millions at their expense. It markets to a very large population of diabetics with crammed main isles of junk food, and I may be wrong but I think it's alcohol sales are the highest in the south west, if not the nation for Wal-Mart's. It's a new low when the first listing under shopping is walmart. This place is over crowded. Reviewer DC states not to go there close to Christmas, nor the first of the month either- I might add. Parking is never my issue as I bring my motorcycle and park it up on the sidewalk area near the door, but the times with a car I plan out. It's open 24 hours which is great for night owls like me, and they do have everything you could need. I give it 2 stars because it shouldn't even be up here to review in the first place. It simply is wal-mart, neither good or bad, just a monolithic company. read more

Nice people, friendly. We parked our motorhome there, but on the first of August, store was crowded, parking lot was jammed. We found a spot over by a bunch of trucks, went and did our grocery shopping. Again, very nice people. Until night. There is no security for the parking lot. First, someone knocked on our door asking for money. (Which we gave). Then, someone crashed three shopping carts into our RV, scratching it. Finally, three drunk teenagers walked by talking loudly at 11:30 at night, and banged on our bus as they walked by. That was enough. We left and went down the road to the Pilot. Broken taps in the restroom, and low pressure on those that work. Deli had a broken microwave (no mashed potatoes) and a broken frier (no popcorn shrimp). Fried potato wedges were good, though, and at least one outlet in McD did work (although others did not). read more

This Walmart does not have enough open registers. I went on the holiday weekend and was able to find a lot of what I needed. Some common things cost more. Like bread and cheese and paper towels. The paper towels I usually buy for 2 dollar's in Glendale cost $1.75 more, may not seem much, but it adds up if you are getting more than a couple of things. I went to the front of the store and saw that the whole front has registers. Only 2 were open?! And the lines were full of people. I ended up waiting to check out longer than I spent in the store shopping. Almost 35 min. Not a place to go when you are in a hurry or need a few things. read more

Most unprofessional Wal-Mart I've experienced. For instance, I ordered pictures online, paid for it online, and had the pick-up person (my niece), pick them up, and I identified her name online, and they wouldn't release the photos I took of her and her brother for their mothers Christmas gift. I'm in another city 2 hours away, so I tried resolving the situation over the phone, was hung up on twice to the mainline, I couldn't speak to a manager, was on hold for 25 minutes, and they will not release the photos I took of my niece and nephew for their mothers Christmas gift. Their verbal communication was abrupt, rude, and undermining. They made it clear that I was at their mercy, and this time they also made it very clear with the whole ordeal, that the customer is not right. Be weary of this locations un-professionalism and their unavailability to not work with their customers. Very unsatisfied with this store. Beware of being treated like your business doesn't matter at this location. read more
