As with most Walmarts they could improve in the number of checkers they have at their registers. This morning I got through the line relatively quick but my main purpose was to pick up a site to store order. I think that during the holiday season that area should be open at at least 7 a.m. not 9 a.m. I really did appreciate the manager for getting someone to service me she went above and beyond. Luckily she was there at the customer service desk because the customer service rep said ' I can't help you hear that area opens up at 9'. She could take lessons from the manager. read more

It doesn't matter what time of day you shop here the check out lines are always supper long! I just need a few things but even the express line has at least 5 people waiting. This is the worst Walmart i have ever been to. I used to love Walmart mind you. Not only shopping there but working there. I was freely aloud to express my style/ tattoos , piercings and colored hair. This is my first time going to Walmart since I quit and my first time going to this one. I just got off of an 8 hour shift from 4-12 in the morning. I had to return an item so I was just wearing pajamas and you could see my tattoos no big deal . I was followed around the whole store my entire trip do to my tattoos which is very hypercritical. I wish I could give negative stars. I spent 45 minuets in the craft department this evening. And saw NO ONE. when I was ready to have my fabric cut we had ask 2 different people to call for help. Finally a girl came over chomping her gum. She couldn't get the pricing gun to work so she just left. I went to the front of the store to find help. After another 20 minuets or so I asked for a manager. They said he'd be up front in 20 minuets. And I could wait. I don't think so. I will not be using this Walmart any more. I went on christmas eve and two women employees HARASSED me saying I couldn't go inside with my SERVICE DOG, then changed her mind saying she had to be on the floor... no she can be where ever I want her to where I feel comfortable and safe, she is an emotional support animal. Did you know it's ILLEGAL to ask if your dog is a service animal. Businesses are only allowed to ask two: Whether the owner is disabled, and what tasks the dog is trained to perform. Therefore, the answer to this question is "false" - businesses are NOT allowed to ask for proof or certification for a service animal. ... This walmart has terrible customer service. They're rude, made my mom wait longer than she had to to get my brother's medicine when it was already done and ready to go.. Normally this would be fine but considering my mom has diabetes and was getting sick and lightheaded the staff behind the pharmacy counter could have been more sympathetic and less snotty. Went in a week or two later to buy myself some paint and went to the self checkouts. Worker made me feel really stupid when I went over. Cupping her mouth and condescendingly yelling that they were card only machines. read more

Every time I have been to this location I get attacked by panhandlers, however, once you get inside, the store is usually clean inside, the sales floor staff is hit and miss as far as customer service goes, there is a Cashier/Manager named Brittney who is always friendly to me and always greets me with a smile. read more

My family and I went to the Walmart in Hesperia for food and to begin Christmas shopping on 11/23/19. I am writing today about a manager that doesn't have a clue of what customer service is. I was looking to purchase a toy ATV for my granddaughter. ( Item # Road Trax) I couldn't find the item anywhere in the store. I decided to ask at the checkout stand. The nice lady at the checkout stand contacted the manager Debbie. As soon as I noticed who it was I new from past experience this wasn't going to be pleasant. Debbie pulled out her personal cell phone to look for the item in the Hesperia store and told me limited stock means, "Most likely, we don't have it in stock" I asked her is there any way to check the inventory and she said No, if I didn't see it out on the floor it's gone. I then asked if she could possibly check any stores in our local area to see if the had the item in stock. She continued scrolling on her phone and said well I've checked Victorville and Apple Valley and there are none there due to limited stock. I could have checked my own personal cell phone and done what she did. I asked can she contact anyone to check stock and she said no.  She said I should go down the hill and look for one there. I was shocked that she wasn't even willing to contact anyone on my behalf to see if there was any in stock. She said sorry and walked away. I have never seen someone less caring about customers and customer service.  For this reason it will be rare to find me in Walmart now. She needs to understand we all have choices and Targets customer service will draw customers there because of the going above and beyond attitude to assist their customers. What a great store! I saw an add in Sundays paper with a Walmart sale add. I saw a sale for some items I needed, so on Monday I went to this store. I went to the department where the items I wanted should be. Couldn't find them so I asked an associate in the same isle I was in. He said to me he didn't know and turned and walked away. I saw another associate and asked that person. She didn't know but walked me back to the isle where the items should be. She pointed at the first person I had asked and said he would know this is his department. I turned and left the store and went to Super Target. read more

This store is never stocked. They have employees that walk down aisles making vomiting noises towards other employees. If you need help the employees act broken or stumped. The bathrooms are filthy no place for a child. Lines are very long. I try to get in and out because i have a newborn and it is impossible everytime. Staff that's rude as F! Today feb 15th while on my way home i stopped in to buy some valentines stuff for my wife and daughters because as a fire fighter i just got off of a 96 hour shift and haven't been able to see my family. As i was looking at the leftover flowers and holding a few stuffed animals there were two employees loudly and sarcastically saying "oh i guess it's ok to just celebrate holidays the day after to save a buck" i turned around and they were both looking at me. This Walmart is always understocked. Many times they have been sold out of a common item and Ive gone back a week later and they are still out. I asked once about the clear lack of stock and was told by an employee that they hold back stock to make taking inventory counts easier. They must be constantly counting inventory. Another problem is the lack of electric scooters. I have severe physical limitations and 90% of the time there isnt one available for me to use and I have to sit in the car while my fiance does the shopping. For a store with so much traffic you would think they would have more than two. Even the local Stater Bros has 4!! read more

Today is the day after Christmas, my black Friday so to speak. My local Wal-Mart on Palmdale decided they were not opening until 6:00am. So everyone left. I came to the Main st. Wal-Mart in Hesperia and as usual it was open on time and the store was neat, clean and organized. As I was indulging myself in Christmas markdowns, I came across some essential oils. I asked the associate to scan the price for me and it was regular price. She explained they belonged in pharmacy and immediately informed the manager on site. He immediately called another associate to tell them about the product and to remove it from the area. This is just one small incident but it is these type of things that make this particular Wal-Mart stand out above the others in the area. read more

Ok, I gave them two stars instead of one because they have only been open two days. Maybe there is still a learning curve. I went on opening day...the debit/credit card reader was broken. I went on Day 2 to pick up some invitations I had printed in the Photo Center. They were ready, but did not have envelopes. So the girl left to go find some. TWENTY MINUTES later with no one in sight, I grabbed by invites (sans envelopes) and headed to the register. There were two people ahead of me. Took a solid 10-15 minutes because the checker had to leave and go weight someone's food somewhere else because the scale was broken. So, to recap...two trips in 24 hours. Store open less than 48 hours. We have a broken debit/credit card machine, a poorly stocked photo center, a photo center worker who has no idea where her stock is, and a broken food scale. What the hell is this place going to look like in two years? Methinks I will stick to the Target on the other side of the freeway.... read more

Unable to give 0 stars!!!! I received gifts at my baby shower that I could not use. I tried to return them the week after receiving them for store credit, and was told no because I do not have a gift receipt (which I'm not sure who gives gift receipts anymore). I called Wal Mart's corporate number and spoke with Natalie. After explaining the issue to Natalie, she called the Hesperia Wal Mart and spoke with the assistant manager, Jay. I was told by Natalie, Jay agreed to give store credit for items under $25. When I got to the store Jay said he never said that and would only return items totaling up to $25!!! Jay was EXTREMELY unprofessional rolling his eyes and laughing telling me it wasn't his fault I was gifted the wrong items!!! Jay said I should contact each person who purchased the gifts and ask them to get me a gift receipt. Which seriously how insulting to ask them to go back and get a gift receipt?! He embarrassed my husband and I by the way he treated us in front of other customers. After leaving with all the items, I called the corporate number again and spoke with Vana, who said there was nothing corporate could do and would document it. Vana refused to let me speak to a supervisor and said I could call back. I was told by Vana they could not over rule decisions made by store managers. What good is a corporate office if they can't resolve issues within their stores?! Don't give your business to Wal Mart!!!!! read more

Last time I went was in June and was greeted by a woman literally laying in the parking lot spread out and talking to herself. So I went in through the grocery side and immediately was hit with a foul Oder of maybe a septic tank or gas leak. ALL customers where deeply concerned with the smell yet no employees seemed concerned at all. I couldn't find the manager to speak with either. So I went to use the restroom in the back and f r whatever reason they don't have the air on in the restrooms so it's easily 90 degrees and definitely not helping the smell. When it was time to check out the lines where insane we tried to do self checkout to save ourselves some time and we where told they have a new rule it's 20 items or less.... that's what the 20 items or less lines are for on the other side of the store. Why is self check out all of a sudden 20 items or less when the lines are wrapping around and easily a half hour wait. It was Absolutely ridiculous. OH and the lady at the register was ringing us up was slower than a snail and SO rude she would yell at us not to get our groceries bags until she said it was ok to take them off the turnstile. Costumers who decide to shop at Walmart need to understand when purchasing a coloring book will not be able to return the book for a Federal Law stating that you infringe on the rights of the Author and you would need to fight your way through a simple policy return and may be a frustrating situation in front of other members within the store. Because of copy rights. It's was stated by all associates it's not there policy to express the return program. As one associate expressed it's not our problem it's yours. Just stick to your rights because Walmart try to do there best to use scare tactics to bow down. They found out I knew the Law better then the dept. So shopper beware of stores wanting to just take your money. Be smart and Educate yourself and stay a step ahead about policy Laws. read more

The shelves are NEVER stocked I have to go to Victorville just to get some items, it's hard to get assistance by the electronics section, THE LINES. Roughly 30 lanes but yet only 4 or 5 are open (3 are 20 items or less lanes). read more

My sister, her boyfriend, & I came today to get some paint & we thought it was going to take 5 minutes but we were there for about an hour trying to get someone to come mix our paint. I shop here often because the store is close to my home. Consistently, every time I shop, this store is out of stock on at least two or three items on my list. If I go back the next day, the same items are usually still out of stock. Lately, they're even out of bags in the produce department. Seriously, what store runs out of produce bags! I find the staff to be very friendly and helpful and the store has a great gluten-free selection. Walmart carries a lot of things that other stores don't. The lines are often long but I can put up with it most of the time. As I said, the biggest inconvenience for me is that they don't keep everything in stock. read more

My husband, a friend and I just left the Super Walmart on Main Street, Hesperia. We wanted to buy about $100 item. We waited in Electronics to ask a question. We waited for about five to seven minutes with no employee in sight. I finally went searching for someone. I asked an employee if there was an employee working Electronics. He said that there was but that she was in the back getting a tv. We continued to wait. Finally, the young lady working that department came out. It was obvious that my husband had a question and she ignored him. When he tried to get help, she addressed him and other customers that had gathered waiting for assistance. With her hands stuffed jnto her apron, she said, "I'm the only one here and I'm going to the back. " She was very rude. My husband is in the customer service industry and knows how customers should be treated. He was very upset. He walked away saying that we were going to a different store. I followed him and noticed another employee. I stopped her and asked if we could speak to a manager. She said she would call one . We followed her to the fabrics desk and she asked us to wait there that the manager had been called and would meet us there. We again waited for about 5 to 7 minutes but no manager came. The same employee that had called for the manager came to us and said she called for another manager. Still no one came. We took our business elsewhere. That us some horrible customer treatment and we refused to give them any money. read more

My husband took our daughter's expedition in last Tuesday for an oil change. It took about 30 minutes to complete. He always marks his oil filter just to make sure they change it. He didnt think to check it until the next day, when he discovered they had not changed it. The old oil filter with his markings was still there. He couldn't believe it. He took it back to the store and spoke with the store manager who walked him back to automotive and he spoke to the automotive manager. They put it up on the rack and indeed there was his old filter. He insisted he stay with the car while they changed it. So they drained the oil and come to find out the oil hadn't been changed either, it was dirty black oil. They changed the oil and filter-totally different filter than the old one. Came home and called corporate to let them know what was going on. The next day, Wednesday, he gets a call from the assistant store manager, she said she would investigate. It just so happens when she called he was in the process of checking the oil level and discovered that it still needed about 1/4 quart more. Oh yeah, when he checked out the second time when they actually changed the oil, they tried to charge him for an extra quart of oil that they had charged him for the day before! Today is Sunday and still haven't heard from the assistant mamager. read more

MOST of the store is clean, I'll give them that. The book section is disgusting, never faced. A lot of the cashiers are RUDE. I was in line at one of the "express" lanes for a few minutes. The cashier finished ringing up the woman in front of me. Turned off her light and told me "You need to get in that line" and pointed to the next mile long line. She couldn't have told me BEFORE I waited? Or turned off her light before? The managers have no interest in keeping the surrounding neighborhood free of shopping carts. The bus stop across the street is usually littered daily with shopping carts that the managers "don't see". Today I took pictures of 5 shopping carts by this bus stop, one a little down the ways on Escondido, and one a little farther down Escondido right before Hollister. I'd rather spend my money at Target and feel appreciated for my business. read more

The service at Walmart was extremely horrible. I went into Walmart ready to pick up an order that should've been ready. I placed a cake order for my son to be picked up at 10 a.m. when I arrived to the store at 5:05 p.m. the bakery department said another customer had accidentally taken my cake, and to wait 10 minutes while the customer returned back. 1st I waited 45 minutes and no update on when the customer would be back with my sons cake, 2nd the bakery department didn't want to do another cake, and 3rd no apology ever given for the mistake on Walmart error. After 1 hour of waiting I approached another manager in a different department name Astrid she completely helped me out on figuring out another cake option that would work for my sons birthday party and apologized and empathized with my situation as a customer. Britney at customer service again another helpful person. I am looking to place a major complaint with the bakery department very very poor customer service experience. We shop at this Walmart every week and tonight we had the worst experience as we came in with an item to return that we had a receipt for. It initially started when we walked in the door and we had to wait until the woman checking items at the front door finished her cell phone call so that she could check the items we brought in to return. She told us it was their policy that we could not return an air mattress. We asked to speak to a manager so she gets the customer service manager named Christina. I've been in the retail business for a long time and I have no idea how they decided to use the most rude person to be in charge of customer service. She had an attitude right from the start. She told us about the policy that the first woman told us about and refused to help us. She said there are signs everywhere showing that an air mattress is a non returnable item. We asked to speak with someone above her. As we are still talking to her she starts walking away as she yells to us over her shoulder that victor will be there to speak to us. We asked her for her last name which she yells back to us that she doesn't give out, I'm guessing that's because she would get too many complaints if people knew her name. Victor the assistant manager showed up after a few minutes and told us again they could not return our product due to their policy. I walked the store where they sell the air mattresses by the front door and also in the seasonal items near the checkstands and there are no signs posted anywhere that mention not being able to return these items. Victor stated that it is only posted in the back of the store at the original shelf. This makes no sense because if you sell an item at multiple places in the store, your policy should be posted wherever you sell that product. Even though victor could not help us, he was the only one who acted professionally towards us and we appreciate that. But the attitude of the other women was uncalled for and very disrespectful, especially for a customer service manager. It only takes one negative experience to leave a bad taste in your mouth and unfortunately, me and my family won't continue to shop here because of this small matter that could've easily been resolved. Target is just on the other side of the freeway. And I'd rather take my business there from now on. read more

I am DONE with this Walmart!!!!!! I spend and average of $400 or more every time. Today I asked several employees working in the department where I was looking for something but only one guy really tried to help. I am handicapped but can NEVER find a electric scooter to use. I can never find a handicapped parking space either. I hate their marketing scheme of spreading similar items all over the store instead of keeping it all together so that you can compare prices. (True of all Walmarts). Last time I went they had disgusting tanks full of dead fish in the pet department. Today I bought a sealed gingerbread house and got home to find its broken. But who wants to stand in their horrible lines for 1/2 hour to return something? Today, I bought a lot of heavy stuff like cases of juice and heavy cat litter boxes. At check out the girl could see I was clearly handicapped but she put all the heavy stuff next to her at the register so I had to lean over, move the carousel full of bags, drag the heavy boxes and lift them into the cart. I know I should have asked for help but when you do, they get this confused look and then they call someone but no one ever comes. Last time I went I had to go back through the store to get a similar item for something that had no price tag because the whole line was held up waiting for some manager to come and find a price on item! I got back and still no one had shown up. Another time the cashier had to go do it and of course everyone in line behind me is giving me dirty looks. Today after struggling to load everything up the cart was barely movable but they didn't offer to help me out! Is too bad I'm never going back because I liked their produce and hardware departments and their pet products have great prices. But it's no longer worth it. This Walmart opened up being a great store but as time goes by, the store seems to be getting worse. Short staffed, items seemed to be trashed in the store. Nail Polish is painted on the price tags and isles where nail Polish is at. You would think they would have better security to keep the Store clean and not allow the isles to be painted and destroyed. It is getting more ghetto than the other Walmart.
