I purchased 4 all-terrain tires at the Walmart in Hesperia. I had an appointment for Saturday at 7 AM to have them installed? I arrived prior to 7:00am ( I was first in line) and there was no store employee at the tire center around 7:10 am I associate came and took my information, so I would not be late for my appointment. My truck was taken into the Bay around 7:50 am to have the tires installed. Around 8:30 am no one had started my Truck. I contacted the department manager who want to see what the problem was, the tire service department really needs to have a person of authority to supervise that department I got my truck released to me after 3 1/2 hours to get four tires put on that's really not acceptable. I will never go back to Walmart and have any automotive work done read more

We went into the Aquatics fish dept to maybe buy some fish and noticed there selection was kept in very bad shape, most fish looked diseased with ick and cloudy eyes. Several Dragon fish we're dead looks like they have been there for 2 weeks or longer. So many dead fish in the aquariums that we we got disgusted with Walmart that they would even have fish to sell. Do not buy any fish from they will eventually die or will infect your other fish. There was one picture I took where over a hundred fish we're floating at the top, so sad. I do order pick up from this location at least twice a month for over a year. I have had no issues so far and the staff is always friendly. They have it together more than target does. Waited 30 min for someone to open one of the locked cabinets no one ever came and several employees for help. Walked up to the register asked for a manager waited another 20 minutes. I used to love the convenience of using their grocery pick up service. It has been horrible lately. From taking an hour longer than it should, to be told to go home and come back later because they're behind, to no one answering the phone when you call to tell them what space you're in, so you leave a message that no one listens to, wrong items, check in doesn't work, etc.. I don't blame the employees working at grocery pick up, I blame management. Now, I came to pick up my groceries and have been waiting in the space for 35 minutes. Walmart Hesperia is THE WORST Walmart store on the planet Earth! They should shut the store down and let everyone shop Victorville Walmart. Horrible, unprofessional, complete lack of customer service at Hesperia Walmart. Manager Patrick should be ashamed that he runs this store. All employees were rude and unprofessional on 1-21-2021. Let me tell you how Walmart treats a frontline healthcare worker, ER registered nurse working 12 hour shifts in a global pandemic. I shop late at night so I can socially distance myself from the public as much as possible. I spent an hour+ shopping before closure and get in check out line. No self check out available. I wait 1/2 hour in line for lady in front of me to try several credit cards over and over. When she is done I am the last customer in the store. Then, I realize I left my debit card in my car. I ask if I can run out quickly to get my debit card after almost 2 hours spent in the store. The register was not yet closed. Sorry, I'm told that I will have to come back at 7 am when the store opens and pick out all of my items again. My car was so close to the doors and I'm told all of my items will be returned to the shelves and I will have to come back in the AM and spend another 1 1/2 hours shopping and waiting in line. No supplies from myself, my dogs or my cat tonight. Joke is on Hesperia Walmart. I won't be going back in the morning or ever again. During this difficult time, claiming to care for the elderly doesn't mean anything if you make shopping for necessities more difficult. Yesterday I went to my local Walmart to get just the necessities to get myself and my two disabled family members through the next week or so. One of the things we needed is cat food. I usually get a large bag at another retailer but they were still out. Walmart was also out the previous week and, this week only had a few choices for cat food. None of these choices included a large bag so I grabbed two 20 lb. bags to get us through until next week, when hopefully there will be more available. When I got to the self checkout, two employees came up to me and told me I could only have one bag because they are rationing because of the coronavirus. I explained that there were no bags last week and I have hungry cats at home that need to be fed. They told me that didn't matter. Management says you can only buy one bag at a time. I tried to reason with them that it doesn't make sense to force an elderly man to buy one bag, take it out to the car, walk back into the store, get another bag, stand in line to pay for it again just to get the amount needed to get through the week. Rationing is supposed to keep people from hoarding, not to keep people from getting what they need. I was unsuccessful and had to make the extra trip back into the store. NICE JOB CARING FOR THE ELDERLY DURING A TIME OF CRISIS WALMART! When this is over, I will be moving as much of my shopping as possible to other stores. I was told 2 cars in front of me, 2 and a half hours later no car... I have asked where my car is multiple times and " it's coming right now" has been the response for the last 30 minutes. Walmart finally got rid of all the homeless. I feel much safer sending my wife to shop here. Unfortunately, do not ever use their auto center for any services. I sent my wife in for an oil change and after check lights were on. She brought it back next day and they would not even open the hood. She went to AutoZone and the employee opened the hood to find multiple hoses disconnected or loose. Never again using service dept for our cars. Did anyone else notice that for the most part the cashiers are African American. At least 75-80% of them anyway? Why is that? 75% of Hesperia is not African American. Maybe 15%. I know a bunch of kids. White and Hispanic that applied here and did not get jobs. There is something going on here. Most of the cashiers are fine. A little snotty but that is Wal-Mart for you. This store beats the heck out of the old disaster on Bear Valley road 10/15/2013 update In the last several weeks have noticed that the race of the cashiers and floor people have become more diverse. Ok, I gave them two stars instead of one because they have only been open two days. Maybe there is still a learning curve. I went on opening day...the debit/credit card reader was broken. I went on Day 2 to pick up some invitations I had printed in the Photo Center. They were ready, but did not have envelopes. So the girl left to go find some. TWENTY MINUTES later with no one in sight, I grabbed by invites (sans envelopes) and headed to the register. There were two people ahead of me. Took a solid 10-15 minutes because the checker had to leave and go weight someone's food somewhere else because the scale was broken. So, to recap...two trips in 24 hours. Store open less than 48 hours. We have a broken debit/credit card machine, a poorly stocked photo center, a photo center worker who has no idea where her stock is, and a broken food scale. I have been at this Walmart several times. There is a variety of inventory to purchase, and at good prices too. Several times, I have purchased Christmas and birthday gifts for my relatives. In addition, I have purchased several DVDs for my movie library at home, specifically from this Walmart. This is hands-down the largest Wal-Mart I've ever been to. Instead of shopping carts at the entrance they ought to hand-out electric Golf Carts! I stopped-in here to buy some last minute items a friend and I needed for a camping trip and to walk-off some of the dinner we'd just eaten down the street at Golden Corral. The biggest thing we noticed is how bare the shelves were. We were there around 8PM on a Saturday and many common things were not stocked and many shelves were just sitting empty. In the beginning I love this place it was great you could pull right up they would load your groceries and they always had everything in stock. Now they don't seem to care, I bought some yogurts that had already been expired for a week and didn't know it until I went to eat one. This is happened several times on different items and it used to be if they didn't have something in stock they would replace it with something either bigger or better. Several times now I have gotten things that have nothing to do with what I ordered instead of a brownie mix I got a cake mix If I wanted a cake I would've ordered a cake mix. And now when I pull up to pick up my order I still wait about 15 minutes in the parking lot that's ridiculous because they have you click on the button when you leave your home and you're on your way it should be ready to be put in your car by the time you get there and it's not. It's not like they're busy because when I show up usually there's no other cars even waiting every once in a while maybe one car. It's getting to the point I think I'm just going to start using Instacart. read more

When I first moved to Hesperia, one of the first things I did was drive around and check out all the markets. I went to at least 4 different markets before settling @ Walmart. Walmart offers the freshest and cleanest options of fruits & veggies. I've seen some markets where the fruits/veggies look old and fruit flies were flying around. Plus the prices at Walmart are extremly cheap. I would have never thought that I would purchase the majority of my groceries @ Walmart, but honestly I think it's one of the best stores in the high desert. I appreciate how they are slowly starting to add more options like chia seeds and PB2 peanut butter. Oh! And can't forget the LARGE cereal selection! I'm not much of a cereal person but I always buy a "unique" box of cereal for my boyfriend who lives down the hill. My only complaint is the makeup section is horrible. I agree with other yelpers, things are open, shelves not stocked, overall a mess. For things like that I just drive down to super target down the street. Better options and for some reasons prices for toiletries seem to be slightly cheaper t super target. I've never been late at night but every single I went the workers were courteous and super friendly. read more

okay first off let me preface this review by saying that this warmer is always very busy with that being said to go is always your best bet. So I always use the to go option in the Walmart app and for me it has been a blessing just make sure you don't try to do it at Friday night or afternoon because Elmo's everybody is doing that on the way going home so that gets kind of busy. With that being said sometimes I come there early by accident all I need to do is call the phone number and a real life human answers the phone. And if you tell him your name they will bring it out to you if they have time 9 out of 10 they can. sometimes they may not have an item in stock and they will substitute it for something of bigger size sometimes it may be a good or bad thing depending on what you're ordering but I find it very comforting that they make the attempt. so if you have to use the Walmart app to get your grocery shopping done this location is actually on top of it. Just make sure to try to avoid Fridays afternoons and evenings. read more

Horrible service. Horrible employees. Everyone is doing the bare minimum at their job here at this Walmart. The employees are unpleasant and so not know their own protocols. A woman was trying to leave without showing her receipt (which by law she does not need to) and they all harassed her. It was horrible and unprofessional. I get it... they are just Walmart workers and it is stereotypical of them to be rude and lazy. But come on. Everytime i go here no one knows where anything is at and no one can help open up the locks. This high desert Walmart has gone down hill so fast. It is sad and pathetic. Don't bother asking or calling for a manger... they are useless and can't help. They don't even answer the phones when calling to lodge for a complaint. The phone rings for 5 minutes and shuts off. Right when you enter this Walmart it's just downright depressing. Go to target over the bridge or take a trip to Apple valley Walmart. I have been wanting to do this review for years. I go to this Walmart once in a blue moon and when i do because it's just the nearest one it's always an anger filled disappointing shopping experience. In an effort to try and keep up with Amazon, Wal-Mart is moving to an online order system. You'll run into 2-3 employees in every aisle who are shopping for people, but good luck trying to find an employee at the registers. 3 lanes opened when lines are wrapping through the store is ridiculous. If you're driving on the way to/from Vegas, you HAVE to stop at this Walmart, as it is a perfectly situated oasis between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. After driving for almost two hours, and making that "up the hill" commute, your passengers (and your vehicle) will thank you for stopping for a while to stretch your legs, load up on munchies (unload your bladders) and take a quick break before the other two hours of road trippin' that await you. The great thing is that Wal Mart will beat the prices ANY of those gas station food marts along the way. Also, if you're a "healthy" snacker, this Wal Mart has plenty of stuff in the produce aisles here for you to take with you! We actually stopped in to buy my toddler a new toy which kept her entertained for the drive (instead of fussing from being in the car seat for hours). Ditto everything I said with a little extra emphasis for the drive FROM Vegas BACK to Los Angeles. This place will seem like a god-send after two hours on the road! Service is about as "friendly" as any Wal Mart. All the stuff is similarly situated as well (so if you know Wal Marts, you feel like you're shopping at the one close to home).
