I really enjoyed this store for one stop shopping. There was no long lines but we chose self checkout, first the machine was out of paper so we had to wait on her to reload. The machine kept rejecting my card and instead of moving us to another machine she gave my daughter back the card and said it's not working and walked off. Poor customer service. We end up using another register and it worked but where was the customer assistance. We got what we needed so shopping experience was good. read more

Walmart Pharmacy Techs are incompetent. Wasted 45 minutes arguing with a pharmacist tech whilst trying to purchase an OTC Claritin-D Allergy product. Incompetent tech behind the counter swipes my driver's license needed to verify the purchase of the product, then proceeds to tell me I have reached my limit for that Claritin-D product and denied my purchase. I told him I purchased the same Claritin product over 3 and a half months ago at this exact Walmart and I shouldn't be in any "waiting period". He stated today (on 3/6/26 at 12:30pm) I was in a "waiting period" to repurchase that Claritin-D Allergy product and he blamed state laws prevented my purchase. I felt he was incompetent but asked him to try to process my license again. 2 more times he denied my purchase. Furiously upset and dissatisfied, I left empty handed and immediately drove 2 minutes away to Walgreen's Pharmacy. Without issue, the pharmacist tech at Walgreen's swiped both my driver's license and credit card and handed me the exact same Claritin-D product I was denied at Walmart just 8 minutes ago. I asked the Walgreen's pharmacist tech if there should be any reason I should be denied my purchase of the Claritin-D product. She said there was none and my license record shows no issues preventing the purchase of the Claritin-D product. Walmart Pharmacy: Please for the love of God, you MUST train your pharmacy tech staff better! They are denying your company revenue, wasting customers' time, and ruining your brand. For most cities, a Walmart is a Walmart is a Walmart. Add to all the fun characters, shoddy service, with an added layer of tight parking and potholes, and that would bode true for this Superstore in this part of town. The good news is that I've found most of what I've ever needed here, from random office supplies to self care products to the occasional greeting card. The not so great news is that shopping here is a mixed bag: so-so service, has moments of chaos (#1), and not a reliable place for bakery / produce items. Compared to a lot of the dated sister stores throughout Houston, this one feels semi-new, but is already showing signs of wear and tear: carts that need serious maintenance, semi-unsightly bathrooms, self-check-out machines that need employee assistance, and the aforementioned produce issues. I would also steer clear of their hot food if possible. Then there are some intangibles: a solid selection of Astro's gear, a semi-solid seasonal variety of stuff such as Halloween and Xmas decor, and a fairly active curbside pickup area. On the latter, I would recommend ordering everything at least a day in advance. I've been to this Walmart several times. Unfortunately it has a Money Services counter and the hours, even though posted, seem to be open on their whims. Says to be open at 9am, and we'll see if someone is there ready and open at 9. But it also says they close at 8 PM and sometimes I've gone by at 5 PM 6 PM 7 PM and they're already closed. read more

Just visited this Walmart to buy groceries and there's a lot to review on. Let's start with the good: The carts here seem extra large! I really like this because I usually bulk buy groceries so I need a lot of room. This Walmart does look newer than some of the other ones I've been too and everything I was looking for was stocked up! The chip isles had every chip you could think of, cleaning supplies had everything you could ever need, etc. While I did find everything I needed here, there were a lot of things I did not especially like: The service here could use work. I mean, I know it's a Walmart, but compared to stores closer to me (Kroger, Randall's, HEB), there's a strong contrast in service. The checkout lady sad not a word to me, other than my total. Also, there was no baggers at this Walmart??? I had a big cart of stuff and this poor lady had to ring each item, bag it, then go to the next item. It's no wonder the lines are extra long here. I think it would be a good idea to have baggers so that your lines won't be long the entire time (I looked at other lines, none of them had baggers). I also didn't like that there were people trying to get me to change my electricity company, like??? It's just a random thing to have at a Walmart. Overall, come here to get your stuff, but if your bulk buying, I would suggest somewhere more efficient. read more

They say it's due to a glitch in their app. They typically don't tell you you won't be getting your groceries until hours after they were supposed to be ready. If you manage to actually get your order you will be charged for the substitutions that you don't accept and you will be charged for items you don't receive. Terry at the grocery pickup is so rude! Even after they make you sit for 45 minutes for your order. If you ask about it, Terry will chew you out. How is this man even employed here?! Hard pass! This store used to be so good too! I went grocery shopping to Walmart in Rice St, today . Had the worst service ever with the girl(short older lady, dark complected ) by the water idle. She said it was one water per family, I told her we were two different families , she didnt even let me explain when she said is one water package per cart . So i go and get my own cart to grab my water. She was just giving me a bad attitude and deep stairing at me and making outloud comments about me to the other employees by her. I expect to go to go grocery shopping and have a good service, to be respected, im very respectful to everyone. And making conclusions about other people with out knowing the situation and being disrespectful is not the best thing to do especially in times like we are living. Okay so I lost every wall I owned. I tried to get them back but they were all broken down. Sooo in an attempt o rebuild I needed some new walls so Walmart was the spot. I came in, couldn't see the wall aisle so I Asked. I read a few reviews and I don't know if this Walmart is exactly 'dicey'. I guess it would depend on what time you happen to go to this Walmart. During the day it's absolutely fine. Normal busy activity. The entire area has undergone a lot of renovations and has regular business traffic. There's a Sam's club across the street. Chick-fil-a in the lot. Jack in the Box in the lot. And a microcenter and AT&T in the lot as well. The roads have been repaved and they are *smooth*. The Walmart was well stocked - I had a purpose. Needed supplies for a craft project with the kid. They had everything I needed. I went between 12:30 and 1:30 PM and there were just 5 lanes open, but the wait was not awful. Maybe 5-8 minutes. The cashier was very nice. She had just handled a situation with the customer in front of me trying to do an exchange and she had to go over it 3-4 times before the customer decided to purchase and then go to customer service to do a return. I also interjected and said that any type of exchange or return has to be done at the customer service desk. He finally relented and moved on. The cashier was very patient and calm throughout the exchange. She rang me up with no issue and I was on my way with plenty of time to get back to work. I'm happy to have a Walmart nearby in case I need anything before heading back home. I will return in the future! read more

The amount of dumbness and laziness is beyond imagination! I go there because it's less than a mile away from my home, it's clean and has almost everything we need, I'm used to shop and go through the self checkout and been happy for over a year, during that past year, I had to deal with their customer service twice and go through a normal cashier twice as well, and in those 4 times I had the worst experience ever, I could believe they would hire people as dumb as a rock and call them employees or customer service reps, they should pay more attention to who does the janitorial work and who does the customer service. read more

I am at the hospital with my daughter so I ordered a delivery from this location. The never delivered my order and I called every department for 2 days to get someone to answer the phone. It would just ring for a long time and disconnect. Finally I called the main Walmart number and they put me on hold to call the store and check in my order. Pathetic how inept and unnecessarily rude their customer service 'team' is - popped in today to do a return, with tags on the items that had not been worn and with the receipt. Tell me why this pockmarked heffer csa had an attitude as if I was inconveniencing her by having her do her JOB. After moving a bunch of stuff around the counter for no reason I guess she finally decided to go on head and play act like she was gonna do work since managerial types showed up...so she calls me to the counter but had a whole attitude from the gate. No hello, no response to my greeting or "how are you' but proceeds to eyeballing and then questioning the (manufacturer's!) tags on the garments. Seemingly insinuating I could've changed them out or switched them when clearly there were multiple of the same, matching, manufacturer tags on these items, which matched the receipt, and in actuality it was HER dumb lack of product knowledge in knowing other WM stores carry that brand that was the issue. So then this absolute fool tries to school me on what a SKU/UPC is and that's why she was looking so hard. Child.....I worked in CORPORATE retail longer than you probably been alive, process my mfn return so I can get out of here...... Best believe this same note is going to their store manager and their corporate because the nerve. Exactly why I generally avoid Walmart in general, and this location specifically. I really like this Walmart! I don't typically do my groceries or shop at Walmart, but this one is one of the nicer ones I've been to. I'm not sure when it was built, or maybe redone...? but the parking lot has nice cement laid down and is very spacious. The outside looks freshly painted and the inside has a nice layout to it. There's a nice Subway inside - with tables you can sit and eat at. I didn't get the same vibe I typically do when I go to a Walmart. I wouldn't mind coming here for groceries. read more

The bakery is a well-kept secret: it's birthday cakes ranked in the top tier nationally according to the New York Times. We grab all the fresh rye bread and bagels we can fit in our basket weekly. Fresh veggies, organic and vegan/vegetarian offerings make the produce department a destination. We also use Walmart.com instead of Amazon, which is under investigation for inflating prices. it's the same platform and have had a terrific experience with full tracking of our orders. read more

For the most part this place has what you want when you run in to get it. However, don't expect anyone to be able to help you find anything. Since I was there I did some price comparisons with Amazon and for the most part my order would have been about the same (some things cheaper on Amazon, some cheaper at Walmart) but if you want it right then, Walmart makes it happen. read more

My issue here was when I first took this box of molded product to a person that was dressed in Walmart cloths hat, apron etc. She said she does not work for Walmart and could not do anything. I said you are wearing Walmart clothes, she looked at me a said she is vendor, required to wear the cloths but that is it. I asked what should I do with this product? she responded with a shrug of her shoulders and said put it back. I was like wow! I'm my mind she is wearing Walmart clothes and therefore representing Walmart. So I found another person wearing Walmart cloths as I was leaving to check out and asked him does he work for Walmart, he said yes, so I explained to him what I saw then walked him to the product. He was hesitant to do anything when I showed him the molded meat. Almost was trying to explain that it was not! I had to insist that he take the product off the shelf and give it someone in the meat department. I always know not to expect much when entering a Wal-Mart since nothing good ever comes of it except occasionally the prices. I also only tend to go very early in the day to avoid their long lines and chaos. I went into this location to look for some Halloween goodies as well as some auto stuff. I had to have passed at least a good ten employees that were within arm's reach of me; only one employee acknowledged me and said "Hello, good morning!" I was so shocked, I had to turn around and respond to the gentleman. I proceed to the checkout area and found one that only had one person ahead of me; turns out, it was the checker's lover dropping off CFA for her. The checker proceeded to check out my items as she was talking all mushy to her lover directly in front of me; didn't once acknowledge me at all during my $15 transaction. Sure, I get it, you have a man; but do yourself a favor and speak mushy to him during your break or lunch. Sure, I'm disappointed, but what good does it make if you mention you went to Wal-Mart?
