My biggest criticism however lands on a service desk employee who has been there for years but I don't know her name. She is small in stature with short greying hair and glasses. My husband tried to pay a utility bill there one Thanksgiving and she was abhorrent. He asked if she knew where he could pay it since they had ceased from receiving the payments and she claimed that she always just pays her bills on time. So my pastor husband politely informed her that we as well do that and the bill he was holding wasn't his. We were settling a debt for an injured veteran whose benefits had been reduced and he was unable to cover his water bill. My husband then promptly left Kroger and gave our two hundred dollar holiday purchase to Foodfair.

Certain staff members refuse to shave the deli meats as requested, instead slicing them according to their preference. I suspect that this may not align with Foodfair's standard practices, as the sandwich spread has become excessively chunky. Due to these concerns, I have decided to discontinue my visits to the deli. Unfortunately, I have witnessed staff mistreating senior customers, which I believe is unacceptable. It is essential to recognize that customer satisfaction is crucial to the success of the business. I question whether the deli manager is aware of these issues and is allowing certain staff members to act with impunity.

I made a delivery order on Sunday for $120, in which Kroger took $120 as a preauthorization on my…read moredebit card. The nexy day, instead of taking their funds from the initial $120 that it took, it charged me a second time, causing me to be $-88 in the hole. I didn't know this had happened until I stopped to get gas, and couldn't. I contacted customer support at every number and email that I could find, and they keep telling me there's nothing they can do, and I was only charged once. My bank says Kroger is who has the hold on my funds and they can't do anything unless Kroger releases them. I will never buy anything from them ever again. It cost me $240 for a $120 order, and I have to get a ride to work until I get paid because I can't even get gas.

In the meantime, though, I got one of the most delicious cinnamon rolls I've ever had. Very cinnamonny, soft but also chewy, and it was just a delight. I got a side of bacon with it. "side" means like 8 pieces. Lol. Picked up one of their banana puddings, too, because I couldn't resist. And all of it together was around $8. What a deal! They've got other food and the donut case was full of incredible looking donuts, and I'm ready to get back there soon! The only negative thing I would say is that while the toilet and the sink were clean, the rest of the bathroom....needed a paint job or something. Regardless, I was happy I stopped by and definitely will again.

This location is a great example of those tactics, and the overwhelming majority of the time you will not need to do comparison shopping to get the best prices; these ARE the best prices. So, why wouldn't everyone shop here? Simple: if you have fresh deli or seafood needs, fresh bakery needs, ONLY love name brands, or frequently purchase uncommon items, you will probably want to go elsewhere, or at least go to other places in addition to Aldi. For those of us who are fine with generics and are cool picking up pre-packaged containers of beef and the like, this place is the absolute best. An added bonus are their limited-time offers, which are often incredibly cheap despite being high quality. Example: they randomly had 120-thread-count pillows on sale when I went yesterday, and they were only $7.99 a piece. So for less than Walmart and at much higher quality than Walmart brands, I got to replace my old pillows. An unexpected deal is the best kind! That said, this location is relatively new, and they don't have as many unique limited-time offerings as the location in Huntington. I still stop by there sometimes just to see what uncommon stuff they have around. In summary, Aldi is a great place to shop, and if you're looking to trim your grocery bill, give this place (and its generic brands) a try. They're actually really good, even the beer! Overall: 4.5 stars ------ Pros: - Excellent in-house brands at unbeatable prices. - They keep things in stock well, and service is good. - Plenty of easy parking, and easy access right off Rt. 60. Cons: - Not as many limited-time offerings as the Huntington Aldi location. You might want to stop by there too if you like German foods and desserts.
