Visited the auto center of this WalMart for a tire check. I kept losing air so I suspected a patch. I was greeted quickly, my issue logged, and soon received the news my car was done. It was a patch but, it was also caught that a previous auto visit put a large amount of weights on another tire unnecessarily. I appreciated the attention to detail. They didn't have what I was looking for, basically, the slots for it were there, but it was not. And I would say about 80% of the product was not there. This Walmart is generally pretty messy and I know there are many police calls to it. If there were another one more convenient, I would certainly go to that one instead. read more

If I could give this store negative stars I would give this particular Walmart -5 stars. Where should I begin? I'm not sure why the Beech Grove Police with assistance from IMPD and even the IN State Police haven't proceeded with filing Nuisance Abatement at this Walmart location. Criminal activity indicents include drug deals, people over-dosing in the parking lot, stolen autos being left in the lot, shoplifting, fights, The police need to be investigating employees as some are involved in this illegal activity. Now, moving on if you make it inside safely to shop, I suggest one be armed with MACE and maybe even a gun because once you get inside you don't know what your going to encounter. Customers as well as employees stealing purses and wallets from honest paying customers. The shelves never seem to be stocked. Some areas seem dark as the lighting isn't very good as lights need replaced. The entire store could use a good cleaning starting with the nasty, foul mouthed employee swith their lousy attitudes. I don't know if they don't have the employees or to unload trailers (usually 2-3 are backed into the dock doors) or they are simply too lazy to get the stores shelves properly stocked. Management is a joke and I can see why employees think it's cute and acceptable to treat customers in the manner in which is unacceptable. Management dismissive, abusive not only in language but make physical threats. I would highly suggest corporate come in, retrain every individual starting with management and then work down to door greeters. After in-depth and proper training, corporate then need to come in and/or send individuals in to shop the store - looking for items, asking for assistance, returning items that were bought in-store as well as online and more at 30, 60, 90 and then every 60-90 days until this store passes with minimal complaints. Also, this store needs to hire off-duty officiers in uniform as well as in marked vehicles to have an on-going and permanent presence not only in the parking lot but inside the store at the entrances. This location has made world-wide news due to the issues. Corporate has been notified and after even reading some of the reviews here they know there are serious issues with this store. The ongoing and continued actions by employees and management to customers is not only unprofessional but unwarranted in this store. If these individuals don't like their jobs they can go elsewhere but the problem is that they more than likely have been fired from other area employers for their lackluster job perfromance and treatment of the consumer. Walmat Corporate simply is turning a blind-eye to the issues, Customers should be on-guard when shopping at this location. read more

Went to the store at 6 AM when they opened. Found the game I was looking for locked up in a case. After standing there for over 20 minutes, I found someone and asked for assistance. They said they would page someone over. A few minutes later, the same person came over and informed me that since the electronics person would not be in until 7, the case would not be opened and I was not able to make the purchase. Not only did I leave my full cart of groceries, but I will NEVER return to this, or any other Walmart again in my life. I am very ashamed of Walmarts behavior today. I was accused of kicking my service dog "Animal Abuse" today. This lady "Manager" walked into Subway as I ate accusing me of Animal abuse. She said 4 people complained and she was there to investigate. She did do not have on any Walmart vest,Name tag. We told her to go look at all video and we would stay put. She still kept poking and acting as a COP. She told me to leave and finally left out of discuss and disappointment. A Cop pokes his head around the corner and tries to stay none visible. I got up from table and walked over to him. He had a chest cam on with red light. "Recording" The COP asked me age of my dog and if he could pet her as she had a do not pet collar on. I was not stopped on the way out and we are back home. I would advise all Service Animal handlers to video walking in door and don't stop recording till you leave the parking lot. There was a big article about Walmart,ADA,USA. Reading all the fine lines I noticed that they keep acting in an inappropriate manor. Still digging and doing my due diligence. I have contacted them with the 1800 number and waiting to hear back on 10 days. They team up and try to look bigger so having a partner accommodate you is the best way to shop if you would like to test the waters. The best customer service! Driving to the airport last Friday after the big winter storm, I had to stop and charge my car at this Walmart. It was too cold to charge, so I had to leave my car at the Walmart all weekend. I called and they agreed to not tow my car while I was away. After several days of flight cancellations and delays, I got a call from security. Someone had hit my car in the parking lot, and the Walmart employees sent me the crash report, the person's insurance card, and a photo of the damage. They truly went above and beyond, and I greatly appreciate it!! read more

This Walmart has the same deals as other Walmarts. The reasons for a two star review are the following. The store is dirty, especially the food section. It's not well stocked. I noticed many items stocked above price labels for different products. Also, some items were priced wrong. I picked up an item, double checking the label to the price, and it rang up much higher. The employees are nice enough, and 3 check out lines staffed with people were open. I will be avoiding this Walmart, except when it is the only convenient option. read more

Walmart Supercentet @ Emerson and County Line Road Did an online order for pickup. Scheduled my pickup time easily. I had a small order, just enough for free pickup. Received a substitution notice 30 min before pickup. Quickly approved. Pickup easy and convenient. Except ... each item in its own plastic bag! I have to wonder why. Will order again though when I need odd items not easily found in a big store. read more

May, June & July were fine, but the delivery service has TANKED since then. We cancelled our annual subscription - they offered to extend my pain for an extra free six months (um, no) or a piddly $15 towards a future online order (to get that delivery messed up too? No thanks...INSULTING...should have prorated annual $ amount or given me a more signifiant legit gift card to use in store). "Free" delivery means NO delivery, LATE delivery or MESSED UP delivery (warm frozen/refrigerated foods). One time I even got someone else's baby food (no kiddos here). They have most recently been using Uber drivers who cannot follow delivery directions or have trouble using GPS. Park in front of building. Use code to get into building. Bring groceries to apartment door. Not hard...but for over a MONTH it has been a huge problem, not worth trying anymore. Save yourself! read more

Walmart is my go to for cheap groceries. Yes there are some stereotypes found at almost every Walmart, but it doesn't phase me. This Walmart was well kept and workers found almost in every direction I walked today which was nice in case I had any questions. They have cheap $5 super soft tees that swoop front and back which I love! They seemed to be well stocked for the weekend rush. Parking always sucks, but it was a nice sunny day so a little extra walking didn't bother me. Fitting rooms were well kept and unwanted clothing was organized to go back instead of piled in a cart. This Walmart Automotive Center, Store #5443, 4650 S. Emerson, Indianapolis, 46203 is horrible! Hours of operation posted on their window says they open at 7:00 am, this morning June 9th, 2018 they didn't take the first car until 8:30 am. I understand Walmart is busy on the weekend, but an hour and half late is incredibly terrible customer service! This particular Walmart Automotive Center never opens before 7:15, 7:20 or 7:30 am. They certainly close the Automotive Center on time, even 30 mins EARLY last evening, according to another customer waiting in line! Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service! read more

Not really sure what people expect from a place that basically sells low-end items for cheap. You get what you pay for. I'm sure that staff quality reflects the pay. However, I can say that usually the customer service is really good here. They are normally very helpful and friendly. It's actually some of the folks that shop there that scare me. A lot of people in a rush with foul moods. The quality of the produce is not too bad. You just need to make sure that you watch what you buy just like any other place. This store sucks so bad, I question my sanity when I decided to shop here. Prices are always good, stock is usually adequate, but they NEVER have adequate check-out lanes open. Today I ditched my cart of probably $100.00+ in groceries because after 25 minutes in a long line of stupid people, I figured it would all be spoiled by the time I got home. So I can't help but wonder, if they put that stuff back on the shelves hours later (perishables) and, how much does it cost in personnel to do that? This is the second worst WalMart I have ever been to (second only to the Washington Square WalMart). The bathrooms are nasty, the employees are rude, and the place is always hard to navigate because of u-boats and boxes. The Subway is nasty, as is the hot deli food. The produce is covered in gnats. There is only ever one or two registers open, no matter how many people are in line to check out. If you have a chance, go somewhere else. read more

The store is usually dirty (stay out of the bathrooms), the "fresh" food is typically bad quality & never really fresh and most employees are not helpful, though a few of them are. We've had a few bad experiences at this particular Walmart, from rude employees, to quite often finding rotten vegetables and fruit. One time I picked up a bag of oranges only to find out that a couple of the ones on the bottom were all rotted, moldy and were dripping, it ended up on my clothes and it reeked! You don't need to shop at Walmart to save money. All you have to do is watch for sales and coupons for other stores, buy generic, and that will save you tons of money, plus you will be able to get fresh food while it's still fresh. Worth noting is what happened to us on our last trip there, it was what finalized the decision about never going back... The problem started when the cashier realized that me and my boyfriend were together (we bought our things separately, like we always do) She got visibly upset and repeatedly said, "You're together?! I'm not comfortable about this!" (This is an exact quote) then she told us to wait, dashed off then came back with someone we assume was a manager. This employee treated us rudely, and as if we had done something wrong. We were very confused, and said as much, finally the cashier repeated her "concern" about us being together, then she said something about how my boyfriend bought alcohol, I said I had no idea why that mattered, than she eventually said that my ID said I was a minor (it doesn't), she had just looked at it before she got the other employee. I happen to be 38, and I told her that, but she insisted that I was a minor, so I tried to show her my ID (again) so I could prove my age, and for some reason the other employee stepped in front of the cashier and actually pushed me away. We never even received an apology, they just kept treating us as if we had done something wrong. read more

This is easily the worst Walmart I've ever been to. It's destroyed walmarts for me. The first time I went there I saw a cashier get in a fight with a customer (verbal not physical) and I vowed never to go there again. I went there again and was not wrong in my initial assessment. The service is deplorable. They lost my photo order with no offer for additional assistance. Twice I asked two different people where something was and I got a vague "over there" from both!! Subway is pretty nasty and not edible in the interior of the store. I call it mediocre and on the bottom of the list next to McDonalds. Cleanliness is an issue. They will "sanitize" and immediately work on your sandwich before the cleaner dries. In other words, pretty gross and you'll probably only eat here if it's free. I wouldn't recommend going to the smart styles salon! I made an appointment at 6pm, walked in at 5:40 finding out that the girl who was going to do my hair went home. Another girl offered to do my hair so I showed her a picture of what I wanted done stating that I came in because I didn't want my routes showing. The lady was nice I'll give her that but she made my hair yellow on the top and a gray/blond on the bottom with my routes still showing! I also asked for a hair cut and it wasn't even straight!! I have taken my car to the service department two times in the last few months and the service people treated me with such respect. They went beyond what they were asked to do. Dirty store with very few employees who have customer service skills let alone good customer service skills

We try to avoid going there unless we have to. All of the other reviews said it all. The lot is always full of carts, trash all over the place, empty and/or messy shelves with missing price tags, ETC. Cashiers are the worst in town. They do not stay on the job long enough to learn the trade. Carts full of returns all over the front end. This place is starting to resemble a flea market. The worst thing above all is the quality of the clientele even more than the employees. The customers are rude and inconsiderate of others. They look and act like real trash. It has steadily gone down hill in the last 5 years. The grocery side strangely looks almost perfect most of the time. You cannot say the same thing for the rest of the store. They have a new row of self scans that never work even though they were installed about a year ago. Even on a Saturday afternoon, They rarely have more than 3-5 registers open. If you can afford it, then I would suggest you go to Kroger or Meijer. read more

I'm from West Lafayette, which has a great Walmart. However, this Walmart is horrendous. There are always carts all over the parking lot, trash in the entrance, products all over the isles, unacceptably long lines, and abysmal customer service. My husband and I have approach management a couple times regarding carts in the parking lot and having to wait in line for 20+ minutes. They don't care. This Walmart needs new managers who know what they are doing and care about the store. We just refuse to shop here now. read more

Once, we found a dirty work coat in the middle of a circular rack of new ones very similar to the dirty one. So you know someone just stole a coat. We had a hard time finding an employee to tell, and when we did, their reaction was moderately nonchalant. And once during the summer, a very pregnant woman walked through the store in shorty shorts, no shirt and just a bikini top, and flip-flops. Not one employee confronted her, except they all discretely pointed and talked about her. Although, I do have to say the vision center is usually pretty good. The doctor is a man of few words, but I don't mind -- I'm usually just trying to get in and out. read more
