This is another one of those businesses that I'd swear I reviewed a long time ago, however, today is as good a time as any. When my mother was seriously ill, this Target became a go-to stress reliever when I'd visit her at Hendricks Regional in Danville. It was big enough here that I could get lost. It was friendly enough here that I could get connected. It was also well-stocked enough that I could easily get a few needed things at a time in life when I needed quick and convenient. Despite living very close to the Glendale Target, I frequented this one a lot. Flash forward to today. My father recently passed away and I'm spending a lot of time in nearby Putnam County. Yesterday, in particular, was a bit stressful as I began clearing out some more personal items and couldn't quite get through the emotions to clear my father's clothing. I decided to stop in Target for some friendly faces, stress relief, and a few items I knew I needed. First off, this is a Target SuperCenter. I sometimes forget that Glendale, while being large, is not a SuperCenter in anyway. This location has, I believe, three entrances. All entrances offer accessible parking, automatic doors, and easy accessibility. I do wish Target had some smaller carts (maneuvering large carts from a wheelchair is a hassle), but that's a minor deficiency. Too many people think the automatic carts are for wheelchair users - they're not. They're great for people who have difficulty walking long distances, however, for someone who stays in a wheelchair they're impractical. While I can get a little frustrated at Glendale for items they don't have, this Target tends to have them. There are exceptions - I was dismayed by the small quantity of V8 energy availability here and it's WAY less than Glendale. There were other food items where I'd look at them and think "That's all you have?" On the other hand, this Target is cleaner. It's better organized. The employees are friendlier (though still have a tendency to block aisles when stocking and be clueless when a wheelchair user comes by trying to get through. Here's your clue - move your cart.). I only needed a handful of items. I was able to find them, generally, quite easily. Employees were friendly. I used self-checkout - this is rare for me, but given my small order it worked well. The employee supervising it wasn't particularly interactive, however, it was fine. I've never used this store's online order or drive-up pick-up options. So, I can't give an opinion there. However, I was pleased with my in-store experience after a stressful day clearing out my father's home. read more

I am slowly basing this review on online order and drive up pick up. I have used this service since 2020. And, never have looked back. The best way to do this is to download the app. You will definitely want to become a red card member. All Target cards can be used at Target stores (brick-and-mortar and online). The Target RedCard comes with 5% off purchases and free two-day shipping. The Target debit card is linked to your checking account. You will receive bonuses and special coupon coupons in the app. The selection is great- from clothing, cleaning supplies, hair products, groceries, home decor and so much more! I have compared their prices to a lot of the box stores around, and they are cheaper than most. read more

This is more about the service part you go in every self checkout is card only, they only had one line open with seven people and the guy running the cash register looked like he was having a little bit of problems with the one order. I contacted a service. Member asked him if they could get a hold of the manager so we could open another line to Lady goes well. We're short staffed so I go stand in line with my six items cause I didn't have my card on me then the lady walks up and says hey you can go down to customer service. Our manager said he'll help you out there cool I walk down to customer service and stay there for another 10 minutes waiting for somebody to show up at this time. I've done watched 20 employees walk by a lady comes out from the side and says can I help you and I'm like with a lady down to self check messaged and said to come down here that the manager would help us here comes the manager right in and right by us so commence to set my stuff down she said we're short staffed I said do you have managers in the store? She said there was three of them. I don't know about you. Last time. I worked in retail managers were cross trained to run cash registers so when I said where the manager go, he went outside to help take care of a curbside order and I asked for what about the other 20 employees that walked by to the lounge they're all stalkers then a manager came up because I was asking for the main store manager's name and number this guy wanted to ramble on thinking I wanted her personal number and I just said I wanted the the best line to reach her on. I wasn't expecting your private number then he commences to hand me a survey. I told him I didn't need that it was past a survey. He fumbled got a little frustrated, cause I was being quite upfront with him that I don't want to hear anything you had to say I just want the name of the store manager and phone number. I don't know about 7 o'clock and only one register open with 9 to 10 people standing in the line somebody slipping just a bad surface experience all around and especially when you talk to people and all they can do is to stutter and say we're short staffed sorry if there's managers there you're not short staffed they need to grab a drawer and get online and cut the line down or instead of having 12 self checkouts card only maybe make some cash read more

I shop here a lot, both for work and for home, and have been having very unpleasant customer service experiences the last few months. I often receive damaged or missing items in my drive-up orders, but I can just process a return online and be done with it. However, a while back I accidentally ordered the wrong item for my swifter wet jet and had to go inside to exchange it so that it could be manually adjusted for the offer I had used on my online order. The girl working the return desk told me I "couldn't use my coupon again" (which I was not trying to do, I explained several times I was trying to have one item swapped out and have the same amount of money come off of the new item since they were different) and wouldn't manually adjust it. I have worked customer service, and still do customer service aspects for my current job, and it was just really frustrating that my issue couldn't be taken care of. It was only a $2-3 and I know from previous jobs that they can be manually adjusted, she just would not do it. I left incredibly frustrated and didn't buy the time I needed at all. Cut to today, I arrived to pick up my drive-up order and had some returns for damaged and recalled items. However, since all 4 items were food, it wouldn't let me do a drive-up return, so I let the staff member who brought me my drive-up order know I would just go inside. When I came back to my car, I discovered a staff member had placed a passive aggressive target slip on my windshield about how my parking spot was for drive-up orders only. I had only been inside for 15 minutes (or less) and had just gotten my drive up order... There are a handful of cars in the parking lot right now due to the snow, so it was just incredibly rude and there was no reason to go out of their way to do that. read more

I brought my granddaughter to buy some dresses. This kids area was a MESS!! Literally clothes all over on the floor! I had to navigate around it. I brought this up to working staff. Their attitude was like "it is, what it is". This store is terrible place!! read more

I absolutely LOVE this Target!! I pass the target on W 38th st just to come to this one. It's bigger and this target gives me a variety of ALOT more! For starters target is my absolute FAVORITE store. So.. coming to target on a Saturday morning is my self care I can grab me a little latte from Starbucks and take my time walking up and down each and every aisle. They also have bomb deals out before the target that's close to me does! So yes.. i will drive the extra distance to receive the variety of things that this target offers me! Lol. As always thank you target for your amazing customer service. Every time i ran into an employee it was a smile followed up with "are you finding everything ok?" Love it! While shopping, I would pick up a box to only find that it was empty. I would not recommend buying from this store.

Items are well organized and prices are usually easy to locate. If not, they have a price scanner every few isles. Employees are not as available as I'd like at times but if you search you can find one usually stocking. The departments are well marked with a decent selection of infant and children's clothing. The seasonal department is respectable but hard to compete with the big, box stores. DVD's and CD's has been reduced drastically as you'd expect but they do carry a few vinyls. DVD's are limited on new releases but they carry many of the older, popular movies. Home decor is cute, office supplies is a little light but the household, storage and health/beauty has a nice selection. The grocery area doesn't compare to Meijer or Walmart. Many items and brands are limited and I have trouble locating some basic items for recipes within the produce and meat areas. Great for grabbing a few staples but not for my weekly shopping. Checkout is pretty much self checkout with one or two cashiers being open on most of my trips. During holidays they have more registers open but it seems to take Christmas or a busy holiday to open more than one or two. I like Target, the store is clean, organized, affordable and well laid out. The customer service desk moves quickly and returns are easy and hassle free. read more

Should be an express Target. Almost after a year of renovations, no hot food is still offered. The bakery section no longer carries cream cheese crossiants...go figure Carmel surely does (BOTH locations). --------- ALL: Then Target stopped carrying the Organic Strawberry Lemonade cold pressed. Which understandably may be related to supply issues....yet Target thought it would be wise to offer 100 different kombaca drinks. I love that most Targets are set up the same so it makes navigation easier no matter what store you're visiting. There was plenty of parking. Lots of other stores near by. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because employees were hard to track down, and when I finally found someone, and asked where the specific item was, they were unsure and just pointed me in the direction of where they thought it was. besides that had a great experience at this location. I like this Target. I especially like it early in the morning during the school year where it's just me, a few friendly Target peeps and no screaming kids. It's a Super Target and, believe me, IT IS SUPER. In the past, I have stuck to Target for my non-grocery/market needs. I have to say, though, I have found some really good grocery prices at this Target store. It has made me open my eyes. I've found many regularly priced grocery items that are $1, $2 and even $3 less what I've been paying at Kroger. That's a pretty huge deal. If you're like me and you only go to Target for non-grocery needs, check out a few of your regular items on the grocery side. You might be surprised. 300ct Christmas Incandescent Icicle Lights Clear with White Wire - Target is selling defective lights. They blow out if you string more than 2 together! My sister spent all day putting 150 dollars worth of wondershop lights...Target's own brand of Christmas lights on her house and they all blew out! When I went online there were multiple reviews saying the same thing! So it's a problem they know they have and they are still selling the lights! Now she can't get a refund unless her husband spends another day before Christmas taking them back down! This after someone at customer care told her to just bring the boxes back. As an avid Target shopper, this store is a sad disappointment. It lives up to Target's brand promise in virtually no way. Let's start in grocery. For a Super Target, this store has very little retail square footage devoted to grocery. Not the fault of the local leadership or employees for sure, but definitely something to think about when considering where to shop for groceries. This results in Target not carrying some relatively common grocery items (portabella mushrooms to name one) that I can easily get in one stop at another store. Moving on to their outs around the store, this store really starts to pale. It is extremely common (and frustrating) to find this store with little or no selection of popular items. They were out of Archer Farms Thai Peanut sauce and Red Curry for 6 and 5 months respectively. In their non-grocery departments, their selection of sizes and styles is very lacking. Finishing our trip, we go to the check lanes. In my experience, Target is normally a bit anemic on front-end staffing, but is also equally good about bringing up backup cashiers when things clog up. Not this store. 30 check lanes in the building and it is not at all uncommon to find only 1 or 2 of them staffed. This typically necessitates long walks to find an open register and even longer waits in line. In the rare occasion that anyone calls for backup, it often goes unanswered. I have been 7 or 8 in line at this store more times than I can count, something i have never experienced otherwise at Target. read more

Never been a big fan of Target. Go every so often usually because I received a gift card. Went today for one thing and of course they don't have it. Wife and daughter do like them more than I. Although they both know grocery is overpriced and steer clear. Wife did make an on line purchase, but the line was ten people deep to get it so we left and will come back for it another time or return it. read more

I like the modern setup and layout of this Target. Everything is easy to find and whatever I can't find, the friendly staff is always willing to help. My last two visits have required extra assistance from the staff. First visit, the employee went out of her way to help locate a pair of shoes for me at another location by checking inventory in their system, and then calling the storm to confirm. I told her she didn't have to, but she insisted. Second visit involved a bulky baby item being loaded into my cart and then to my car. An employee answered both requests quickly. The store is bright, clean, and well organized. Although I live closer to another location, it's worth the extra drive to shop here. read more

Must be a Target thing because the parking lot has oversized parking spaces too. The store was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Check out clerk was nice friendly and made us feel welcomed. This store had what we were looking for, but only had one, guess we will keep trying as Target has what we wanted at the best price available in the area. read more

I snap a picture of an Enfamil box and get confronted 2 minutes later in the frozen food aisle? I'm apparently the first person ever who needed to send a "is this the right kind?" spousal text message. Thanks for not calling the police and instead letting me off with a generous "if that's all you're doing, I guess that's okay" warning. Whew. Dear Ms. Target employee, you are a real asset to the company with your super Sherlock Holmes skills, thwarting baby formula pictures right and left. Oh my gosh - customer service at it's finest!!! I wanted to buy a desk so I picked up the (conveniently placed, by the way) customer service phone and pressed 1 to have someone paged to the area. The automated message said that someone would meet me at that phone in 60 seconds. Just a short while later, I heard a walkie talkie counting down for a cheerful person in a red shirt & slacks saying, "15 seconds remaining." When she stepped up and nicely greeted my husband and I, I told her I wanted to buy a desk and was curious if they have flat beds. She said, "I will be happy to help you with that!" Within minutes she had a flat bed AND a helper. They loaded the desk for us AND walked it to the front of the store and allowed us to pick a lane. They left for us to check out & then when we were checking out two different people magically stepped up & told us to pull our car up. We got that darned desk from the back of the store, paid for it & into our car and neither my husband nor myself had to lift a finger AND everyone was cheerful and sweet about it. I was just plain astonished at the efficient and friendly customer service. Will definitely go to Target more often after this experience!!! read more

As I continue to stand in line I saw a cashier stand at the end of the aisle and look right at me. As I begin to move my cart, she motion to the lady behind me to come to her register. 2 and a half stars, four for a Target. This is one of the cleaner Target stores that you'll visit. The produce here is pretty good, not as good as the competing Meijer in the next plaza over, but good enough. There is a Starbucks, Target optical, photo studio, and snack cafe. There is also a pharmacy, deli, and bakery, but these are second rate compared to Meijer and don't compare to Marsh's standards. This store has a great selection of DVDs and CD's (however much longer those will be around) and their electronics are decent. All of their other non-grocery is made in China and is cheap third rate stuff, especially textiles. I don't trust their meat selection as is a general rule with most larger stores like this as it tends to spoil quickly. Archer Farms milk also is not very good either. They do carry a decent selection of juices and such, but selection of dairy was limited to a few national brands as seems to be the trend in these bigger box stores. Marsh and Kroger have a much better selection of dairy items from local producers. Prices here have improved dramatically over the recent years. When Super Target's first moved into Indianapolis, people complained about their pricing and at one point, Target's grocery brands were in trouble. But with strategic pricing and carrying a lot of niche products in their grocery area, they seemed to have made headway. In particular, their frozen food and enormous grocery selection is what makes this store worth trying to find those difficult to find specialty items and brands not normally carried by Midwest grocers. Granted their are other stores that carry specialty items, but you usually pay premium price at smaller stores like Trader Joe's or Fresh Market or even Safeway. All in all, you could do all your shopping here, but it is better to stick to frozen and specialty items otherwise you could spend hours gawking at everything else they have. read more

Never not happy with a trip to this Target. However I did notice that it was a complete disaster today. You could hear employees cackling/laughing at the front of the store but as you walk through soft lines, there are just clothes EVERYWHERE, and everything was totally unorganized and hard to find clothing items due to the mess. Unfortunately ever since they finished remodeling, (i'm not sure if they changed management or became more strict) i've found that my target trips at this specific location have not been good at all. I entered the store and automatically found the "security guys" staring me down along with my two younger siblings. (I'm super hyper-aware of everything and everyone) i brushed it off and continue to walk and shop, i got to the toy section where my siblings were browsing and i stayed an aisle away getting my phone out of my purse and checking my messages the put it back in my puse and continue to walk the aisle and when i walk to the aisle next to me the "security" is pretending to put stuff back on shelfs when in reality he was following us. I continue to walk around and again i walked near the "security team" and a couple of other staff members i literally walked in-front so they could get the idea that i know you all are looking/following us. They continue their conversation between staff but they continue to watch us closely as we walk by. I then checked out we spent about 35-40 mins in there shopping and the whole time i felt "security" and employee(s) keeping close tabs on us. This as a woman as a person is beyond humiliating and UNCOMFORTABLE!!!!!!!! I do not like being watched like i'm a thief because we are not! This is my 2nd time me and my family have been watched on I'm starting to think this is a racial issue as we are hispanic/latino. This target was my go to! I enjoy shopping at target but unfortunately i do not think i'll be back for a good while. I can't go somewhere where i do not feel comfortable shopping at! Target do better and train these so call security guys better and know who to really watch out on. read more

This is not your ordinary Target. This one is a Super Target, in every sense of the word. Normally I'm not a fan of the big box, but Target is just so designy and socially aware. Add all kinds of groceries, cheaper than the local supermarket, and I'm in. Plus, Starbucks inside the front door. Nothing like being able to sip a latte while picking up some organic asparagus and cheap designer stuff. It's the broke yuppie's dream. read more

I love Target! I had to buy some giant bags of candy for an event. I was able to get a 4 lb bag on sale for $7.49! There is a Starbucks inside. There is also a pharmacy, it is not a 24 hour pharmacy. My only issue is there are never enough check out lanes open. There are only 2 or 3 open at most, and the express check out is hardly ever open. This is the reason I don't shop there often, but it is a great store otherwise. read more

This Target store is lacking in a number of ways. First, you ALWAYS wait in line. I've heard people calling for help to the cashiers but no one comes. They are out of fresh food all the time! You don't see the Fast, Fun and Friendly in this store. I've been asked maybe twice in the past year if I needed help finding anything. Drive to the store in Carmel for good service. read more

I will not return to Target in Avon due to them not caring enough about handicap people. I've complained three times now regarding the motorized carts not functioning. I just left the store and inform an employee about the carts not working after I had to hop way down to the other end of the store to find one. This Target is located near a Dick's. This is nice for when I have a boy with me because it gives him an excuse to talk about his dick real quick in a very fun & subtle manner. The bathrooms are not that nice though. One time I was peeing next to a lady in there and she kept saying "Oh, mercy." inside of her stall. I didn't feel good about it. There is also a Starbucks inside of this Target, so you can order coffee and walk all around with your cup. Nobody will even call the cops on you. Except don't leave your cup on a shelf because you might get tackled by a Tarcop. All of the employees wear the same costume except for the Tarcops. Sometimes I buy things from Target, but mostly not. 32 dollars seems like too much money for pants. Most people do not agree with me on that. Except 32 dollars is sort of how much money I make in a day. And a whole day is not worth a pair of pants. I like to look in those bins where everything costs one dollar. Sometimes I buy 32 things from there and wonder why I didn't buy pants. There are too many things to say about Target. It makes me feel very overwhelmed. I need to sit down. Ok, I am sitting. If you like being verbally harassed by customers, then by all means go to this target. I didn't know that it was against the rules to stand OUTSIDE the dressing room to help my wife decide what she wanted to get. I will never come back to this store. I spent time tonight trying to finish my registry in store at the Avon, Indiana location. The employees are AWESOME!!! New registry system with the iPods, however, is AWFUL!!!!! We had to wait for almost 45 minutes because none of the iPods were working correctly. First, it couldn't locate our account. Then, we were unable to scan anything. Then, it was reset and we were able to scan half of the items we wanted. Only half. It would let us scan a candle but not the candle we wanted. Then it would not let us scan a kitchen aid mixer but it would let me scan a pack of gum (which I wouldn't even need to put on my registry). Finally, fed up that I couldn't register for the towels and rugs that I wanted (I wanted to register for these in person so I could see the patters clearly, feel how softy they were, etc.) and my fiancé and I left. I came home and went to try to add the final items that I wanted on the registry to find out that NOTHING I put on my registry tonight was actually added. I just couldn't believe it. Please go back to your old registry system if you are getting similar complaints from other customers. I feel like our night was wasted and we could have spent our Friday night registering somewhere else. And while the employees were super sweet, they had NO idea how to fix the iPod issues and were on the phone with a service desk the entire time. I think the iPod was much more user friendly than other places we've been to in terms of interface and scanning buttons, but it was so buggy that everything great about it got canceled out. This experience honestly deters me from registering with Target in the future and I wouldn't recommend to my friends to register here either. read more

This is a beautiful Super Target. I want to love it but the grocery has let me down in the past. The milk prices are higher than other discount stores in the area. Soda also seems to be on average higher than Walmart or Meijer as well. Like 1 person said they will be out of things I expect to be stocked. One day they were out of chocolate syrup. How is that possible? I've had good experiences buying things in electronics, kitchen, and furniture areas. Target is great to buy things of higher quality for your home but not so much for grocery. Some people on here have complained about checkout times but I've found that to be great compared to Walmart & also superior to Meijer I think as well. The ambience/customer service is superior to Walmart but you will pay more usually. If price is most important shop around but you might find the quality on some of their items is worth the extra price. read more
