This store is complete garbage. I've been coming here despite my wife's wishes and now I will concede. She was right as always. I was in a hurry today, grabbed a cart which is near the exit door I guess. I started to go in the door to the left to be berated by older man at door. He was yelling at the top of his lungs about me coming in the wrong door. I was made aware Covid pays attention to direction I guess. He didn't need to yell, point at me like a playground aid at recess telling a kid to stand at the wall. It was embarrassing as can be. I spoke a manager only to be told he was only doing his job and that she was sorry he handled it that way. He needs to be in a warehouse where customers are not a focus. This is the same guy who checks my receipt btw. I show him the blank side of the receipt just to see if he's paying attention. He never notices. Hate this place today and moving forward. read more

For a Walmart, this is actually a pretty good location then some of the ones i've been to. The bathrooms here are still always messy as always, but I think that's very Walmart. Thankfully, this location also has self check-out. My go to in the mornings are a Bolthouse and rasberries in produce, and sometimes a soy/almond yogurt from dairy. I love that they always seem to be in stock of Bolthouse, only maybe once they didn't have my Daily Greens. This location is very convenient since it's located off I-5. Just remember, this is a Walmart, just a better one then most others. read more

This place is huge! I could spend all day here! Actually took me 20 min in line to check out!! Only a few nice checkers available and 3 people in line all with overflowing carts. They are encouraging self checkouts- but with a huge cart of things I hate that option. I end up needing help multiple times in the process. read more

As far as Walmart's go, this one is pretty good. I live 7 mins from the Yelm Walmart but I choose to drive to this Lacey location for a number of reasons. 1. The lines are always short. They always have enough cashiers working. 2. They have a lot of Scan and Go (self checkout) stations. 3. It's a big store. They have a great selection of everything. For example, If you go to the Yelm location, the Asian food section is like 20 products. At the Lacey location it's like 500 products. 4. The staff at the doors checking your carts are very sweet. They stand up to get your receipt. The ones in Yelm, not so much. This Walmart is always clean and it is easy to get to. read more

Please don't buy anything valuable here. This Walmart lies about its return policy. I recently bought a computer at this store. When deciding to purchase the computer, the associate convinced me to buy it by telling me I could return the computer within 15 days. This was assuring because I wanted to see if this computer could run the programs to allow me to telecommute at my job. To be clear....I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THE COMPUTER WITHOUT THIS RETURN POLICY. Turns out the computer did not meet my expectations, and I decided to return it. When I tried to return it, the store clerk told me I was unable to return it because they claimed the barcode on the recipe didn't match. After talking to multiple people (including the store manager) and a 90 minutes later, I was told they couldn't do anything for me. I was simply trying to return a computer, five days after I purchased it, and they refused to accept it. They broke their end of the deal, and now I am left with a useless computer that I cannot use for work. Part of my incentive in purchasing this computer was the return policy. I wanted to test out this computer, and that is how Walmart convinced me to buy it. Turns out they lied. They should not be allowed to manipulate and rip off customers. The computer I wanted to return was the one I bought five days earlier. I will be filing a consumer compliant with the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney General's Office. I can not say this loud enough but I had the worse experience with the cashier in the register in charge of cigarettes and alcohol. I purchased a tea pot and a few sodas and the cashier did not respond to me when I said hello to him. Did not smile, did not tell me what I price was, did not ask me how I am to pay. No verbal communication at all. I figured that perhaps he was sick and that was why he did not acknowledge me. Imagine how surprised I was when the cashier suddenly came to live and started non stop complimenting the person right behind me. That person that the cashier was going above and beyond with compliments was my mother. When I confronted the cashier about his behavior he dramatic tossed his head and literally turn his nose up at me. This cashier has gone above and beyond with being rude to paying customers. This cashier should be reprimand for his poor customer service. read more

This Walmart overall is not horrible, pretty good selection at fair prices..my issue is their photo and fabric departments. I've had the displeasure of having to wait for employees to show up to both of the areas for over 20minutes on multiple occasions! Not good! I purchased a motorcycle battery which was advertised for $95.00, and available for pick-up at this store. After purchasing the battery, my first surprise was an additional "core charge" of $12.00. My second surprise was that it was now "unavailable for pick-up" and I had to have it delivered. Third time's a charm-- I find out that they won't return the core charge, unless the old battery was purchased from Walmart. Their advertising is deceptive and conniving, and their "customer service" is inconsiderate, NEVER AGAIN!! They lied about the price. A 95 dollar battery has 21 dollars in taxes! They lied about the core charge. They don't refund non-walmart batteries. They lied about availability. Available for pickup until you buy it, and then, it has to be delivered. They lied about delivery. Supposed to get it today, but it's been "delayed", and they don't tell you how long the delay is. This is the worst customer service I've ever seen anywhere in the country!!! If there was a minus star, I'd hit that one!! read more

The parking lot is so dirty! Trash is everywhere. Do they even care how the parking lot looks? The employees there are friendly and simple. This store allows way too much soliciting! It's annoying! There are a groups of black women with long skirts who walk around asking people to come to church and if you say no they want to have a whole conversation with you. The lady explains that online you can get em for that and at some walmarts....but not here cause their competitors sell um for 24 so they sell em for 23 to beat the competitors and still make more money then online. UMM rip off so we ask dont you price match? cuz we want u to price match walmart.com...they said no but u can buy um online and have them shipped here.... I have twins and when they were a few months old, I took them in their stroller to purchase some items. Usually I put a basket over the handle bars of my stroller and fill it up but I carry one if it's more of the cube shape. Anyway, they didn't have any in the store AT ALL. I pretty much was told tough luck and they were not ordering any which is fine; I can go elsewhere. I'm perfectly content with giving Target my money because they usually don't make me wait 20 minutes in lime or juggle items. I actually left there and went to Target. I've also never encountered so many rude employees. There's aspects everyone dislikes about their jobs but jeez...I try to be polite to others just out of common courtesy. This is THE place to go for the one stop shopper in Lacey. The prices are great on average and it is easy to move around and find what you are looking for. The departments are above average for selection too: Sporting, home goods, health/hygiene, automotive, electronics, grocery, all are great. Okay, now to the "needs improvement". They need to reign in the frequency and aggressiveness of the fund raisers. These people will try to stop you even if you don't give them eye contact. Petitions are in my interest, and I'm okay with that, just not being harassed coming in and out of store when I'm unemployed and just trying to get a jug of milk and some bread. Second, the shopping carts don't get the maintenance and cleaning they need. I've brought that up before to management before, they should be cleaning them on an hourly basis when their carts start filling up with left behind trash. Third, checkout speed is horrible. To add to that, if you go their late at night, the self checkout is closed. I have been there many times after 11pm to get in line behind 10 people. Unacceptable guys! Lastly, I think the quality of customer service could be better. They could cultivate a better customer service experience by making an exception to their low cost vs everything philosophy, at least when it comes to their labor force. read more

It's a Walmart. It is open 24hrs and has a huge selection. Prices are fair but can definitely be beat. Service is what you would expect. The opportunity at this Walmart is the merchandising. I generally find other Walmarts have stronger presentations are a bit more organized. read more

Always an adventure when going to ANY Walmart in town. Come cleaner than others. Some less entertaining that others. The few things that are ALWAYS the same...The bathrooms are horrible (always out of something ~ Soap, paper towels, ass gaskets, and toilet paper ) and there are NEVER enough cashiers for the time of day. Usually there is lots to choose from, cheaper prices and having grocery and other items all in one place makes Walmart successful. read more

This location has a nice grocery section with a wide range of products. There is also a bakery which offers a nice assortment of cookies, cakes, cupcakes, doughnuts, and other baked goods at a decent price. The produce section is a bit smaller than some of the other grocery stores in the area, but the variety is good and the products are fresh. Walmart also has a nice selection of frozen foods. One of the perks of this location is that they offer Self-Checkout. This can be helpful during times when the store is very busy and some of the registers may have long lines. I recently visited the pharmacy at this location and the experience wasn't as good as I had hoped. The pharmacy seems to be slightly understaffed compared to the volume of prescriptions filled. It typically takes at least one hour after dropping off a prescription before it can be picked up, sometimes a little longer. When calling the pharmacy to inquire about the cost of a prescription, the pharmacist quoted me the wrong price. I didn't know the price was incorrect until after I had the prescription filled. The medication had to be ordered, and there was some confusion between the pharmacy staff regarding the order. When I called to check the status of my prescription, I was told the cost would be $75 which was more than double the price I was originally quoted. This misinformation created an inconvenience for me because I had to have the prescription transferred to a mail-order pharmacy that offered a much better price, and this was after I had waited four days for them to get the medication in stock. I know mistakes happen, but it seems that this was the result of the pharmacy staffed being overwhelmed and not spending the appropriate time needed with the customer. I was disappointed that the original price quoted to me was not honored and it resulted in me having to wait longer to get my medication elsewhere. This particular Walmart also has a Subway as well as a newly opened Auntie Anne's Pretzels. This is the first time I've seen an Auntie Anne's in a Walmart, so it was a yummy surprise. Something else this Walmart offers is special parking for Wounded Warriors. Both entrances of the store have Wounded Warriors parking spaces which are located close to the handicapped parking. This is something that's been recently added and requires a special permit to park there. Kudos to Walmart for their efforts to look out for those injured in combat. Other than the problems at the pharmacy, I've had good experiences with this Walmart location and will continue to shop here. read more

I come into Wally World late at night. Normally after my workout. I peruse the aisles for clearance items and slightly out of boredom. (I mean, it's Lacey. There's no nightlife here.) This place often has a gang of hooligans around. Not the kind that will bother you, but the kind that may follow you around. The customer service can be hit or miss here. I don't go here as much as I used to. I ordered some diapers online because I found a coupon. I thought it was cool they had an option to pick it up at the store so that's what I chose to do. I walked to the back and had to call someone to help me. He was so rude. He didn't even greet me. He grabbed my box of diapers which were heavier than I expected. He was rude during the whole transaction, but mustered up kindness to tell me to have a nice day. Went to get a Rx filled and was told about 30 mins so I thought I would shop for a little bit. After coming back and checking, it still wasn't ready. The cashier said she would let me know ASAP when it's ready. So after waiting 30 more mins, a different cashier came out and asked if I needed help and I said I had been waiting for a Rx and she went and looked and told me it had been ready for 30 mins. I waited in electronics for 20 minutes with employees everywhere just walking by when I said "excuse me"... they just looked at me and walked away or kept talking to each other. I sort of found something close to what I was looking for (an iPad charger- and all chargers were under a sign that just said "Cell Phone"... um no!). I ended up waiting in a hour long line the next day to return it bc it wasn't what I needed, while some a*hole in line behind me was talking on his phone so loud, (having the most ignorant convo ever) but employees didn't ask him to be respectful, instead just looked at him with eye rolls to the rest of us in line (ok, u sympathize, but why not resolve it?). I also don't understand WalMart's attempt to imitate Costco'a anti-theft policy of checking receipts, bc not ONE time has anyone actually looked in my cart or bags (which I wouldn't agree to anyway!) before doodling on my receipt. read more

Horrible customer service. How are you going to have things locked up and absolutely NO worker with a key to unlock it except ONE person out of all the employees. If you are going to have something locked up make sure the keys are in a place where any employee can have access to them to simply unlock the product instead of making the customer wait 45 minutes for one item. read more

Purchased a firearm BB gun for the first time in my life and the safety doesn't even slide to the off position and the store wouldn't take back the gun. This Walmart has our health and sanitation interests at heart. It is one of the few grocery and food outlets in the Lacey, Olympia, and Tumwater communities that actually follows FDA and Washington State laws addressing pets being brought into the store. Entrance to the store are posted with a sign that clearly reads "service dogs only." Intelligent and honest people with integrity know what that means! I feel comfortable that few pet owners will thumb their nose at such a notice. read more

This Walmart is hands down by far the worst I have ever been too. Not only were their shelves completely empty but once I did finally find a few items by myself I might add because the chances of finding any help around there is like looking for a needle in a hay stack I had spent about a hundred dollars as I was being shoved pretty much literally out of the check stands. Oh but this is nothing yet the topper is when I go to walk out and they are physically throwing someone down on The ground Who was infact stealing proceeded to hold both my husband and I back, make me go dig through the garage just to not find my receipt and have to pull up the transaction on my phone proving that I in fact did paid for all my items (dog food, a present for my nephew, and a few other small little things) all the while completely humiliating my husband and I because the person at the checkout was to busy yelling over the intercom and not doing what I assume was her job of helping the people at self checkout. As to why they stopped us and not the other 12 people they let past them as I was digging through the garbage for my receipt is beyond me but they are lucky if I don't have my attorney down on them tomorrow. I was so surprised when I stopped here just for some juice and cereal- I found SO MANY GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS I've never seen before. I was so surprised to find all this at Walmart for cheaper prices!!! I was never a regular Walmart customer until now! If you have food restrictions I highly recommend you check out the Walmart in Lacey. So I went to exchange a router I bought a month ago in Kansas. I'm active duty so I just got transferred here. As to any great move you make you lose things, and of course I lost my receipt. I went to ask for an exchange and they said it was ok, as long as it's the same one. Well they didn't have it and they don't even carry it in the whole state. The assistant manager Marilyn suggest I go and return it in Kansas. This is nuts, I don't know how Wal-Mart wants to put parking spots for veterans and play this whole thing out when they can't even help out in this situation. All I want is another router. She didn't even know the return policy before how she said "i am being nice". The lack of service and leadership in this place has me dumbfounded. read more
