    Walmart's Black Hole. Lol
    Joseph N.

Service I was struggling looking for a specific item, and when a customer service named Itima, I'm not sure the spelling, saw me that I was frustrated she asked me if if I needed help. I was happy that she approached me. She spent a few minutes with me and located the item that I needed. Sadly, it was out of stock. Selection They have a variety of products, different brand that one can choose from. Value Prices are moderate and affordable. You get what you pay for. It's good for everyday use and consumption. Walmart might have bad reviews, but Itima, customer service in Lacey on Galaxy Rd, deserves the recognition that she deserves.

This Walmart had me both about to crash out and quite literally on the floor laughing my ass off. For a Walmart with such a fancy outside, the inside is anything but. I'm convinced it's a money laundering scheme or a front for criminal activity. When we walked in we were wanting water, so we headed to the water fountain, but it didn't work properly. It didn't just not work at al--it would blast water all the way across the water fountain and onto the floor, but only for half a second before reverting to having a weak stream that didn't come off the spout enough to drink. If you spam pressed it, it would just not shoot it out, so you had to like press it and wait a second or two before pressing it again. It wasn't able to quench our thirst that way, so we headed over to the first checkout lane water cooler we found--and it literally had its lights off and was not chilled despite being completely filled with water bottles. When it came to browsing the store, it was even weirder. They somehow manage to have nothing (barely any options for almond milk compared to the Tumwater Walmart, only two bags of dog food, an entire row of shelves that were all completely empty except for a single jug of fruit punch) and way too much (three entire sections of fridge with nothing but Great Value whole milk and another two with nothing but Great Value 2% milk, two shelves of the same exact Franz hotdog buns, half an aisle that was just Great Value vegetable oil and canola oil, and the bread aisle being completely stocked but only with the same six bread brands and types). The layout is weird too. Picture this: you're walking down one of those strips between sections of the store that have the displays in the middle, and the displays are of underwear, but on one side of you is the alcohol, and on the other side is the baby formula. That is what I experienced. Why is it like that? Why is the coffee aisle the one directly facing the checkout? It feels like the layout of this store was designed specifically for the soldiers and airmen who commute to JBLM. Coffee in the front because you're overworked, don't get enough sleep, and need to be in and out of the store as quickly as possible so you can get your coffee in before your hour drive to base, and alcohol and baby stuff in the same area because... well, you made a mistake and want to forget it, but don't want to traverse the whole store. Other weird occurrences are as follows: Aisles that you can barely fit your cart into and aisles you could line up four carts side-by-side in, an immense amount of workers (we're talking like a 5:1 employee-customer ratio) that seem to herd together in groups of three to eight in random spots throughout the store, potentially risky renovations happening while the store is open (a giant sign was being taken down and we heard it shift, to which the guy taking it down said "fuck...", and there were just spinning fan blades left uncovered and able to be touched), a British employee whose accent sounded way stronger and more stereotypically posh than normal, which wasn't too crazy because nearly every worker in there was foreign, a pet tag machine with NOTHING else around it, a skibidi toilet toy section (not kidding), a haunted women's restroom, many opened but unfinished drinks left around the store, an interesting playlist (careless whisper played mid mental breakdown at everything else wrong with this place), a parking lot the size of Rhode Island, and an area by the bus stop which can only be described as an inverted hill that serves as a graveyard for approximately seven shopping carts. Oh, and they sell single hot pockets. I've never seen anywhere sell boxes of any less than two--not even gas stations. Some of this may be able to be attributed to the renovations that have been going on for over a month now, but so much of it cannot.

I recently moved to the area about a month ago, and having this Costco Wholesale just two blocks…read moreaway has been incredibly convenient--I absolutely love it. This location has a gas station, which is always a huge plus, although like most Costco locations, it tends to be busy. The parking lot fills up quickly, so I usually save myself the stress and park near the back. Shopping inside can get a bit overwhelming at times, especially when it's crowded and people tend to stop in the middle of aisles to browse or chat. Regardless, I would say that most shoppers are polite, and the overall atmosphere is still pleasant. I appreciate the variety of items available--there are some staples I can always count on, while others seem to rotate or be limited. Buying in bulk at reasonable prices is definitely a win. One thing I found funny is that the layout here feels like a flip-flopped version of the Costco I used to visit on Exposition in California. It's organized similarly enough that I've been able to find what I need pretty quickly after just a few visits. My only small disappointment is that they don't carry the caramel flavor of the Premier Protein shakes I love--but that's a minor gripe in the grand scheme of things. Customer service has been great overall though. Whether it's regular checkout or self-checkout, employees are friendly and helpful. Sometimes they even pre-scan items in your cart to speed things up, so by the time you get to checkout, you can leave all your items in your cart, scan your membership card, and just pay for all the items that were pre-scanned without having to place them on the conveyer. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. We also had questions about using our Costco rewards, and the staff at the membership counter were super helpful in walking us through the process. The food court is another bonus--we ordered a whole pizza once, and I love how easy it is to use the kiosks. They call out order numbers instead of making people line up, which honestly works so much better given how crowded the food court area usually gets at every Costco. Overall, it's been a really positive shopping experience, and I will definitely be a frequent regular here.

Costco Misled Customers by Recommending a Horrible HVAC Contractor…read more We chose Brennan specifically because they were promoted and recommended through Costco, and we trusted that Costco would properly vet the companies associated with its brand. That trust was clearly misplaced. Our family spent nearly $30,000 on an HVAC and air conditioning system installed by Brennan, only to receive shockingly poor workmanship. The installation was done with hoses and wiring cutting directly through the home with little apparent regard for proper engineering design, aesthetics, or long-term functionality. The overall quality of the installation was far below what anyone should expect for a project at this price point. Even worse, the system failed after just 3 years and 9 days -- only nine days outside the warranty period. When we contacted Brennan, they sent a service technician who recommended using a sealant solution that would essentially reduce the lifespan of the unit instead of properly repairing the system. The response felt careless, dismissive, and entirely focused on avoiding responsibility rather than helping the customer. What is especially disappointing is Costco's role in all of this. Brennan's poor reputation and long-standing customer complaints are not difficult to find. Their track record speaks for itself. Despite this, Costco continues to recommend them as a trusted provider under the Costco name. After bringing these concerns to Costco directly -- including the premature system failure, the poor installation quality, and Brennan's inadequate response -- Costco declined to take meaningful action. That response was incredibly disappointing given Costco's reputation for customer service and consumer advocacy. Costco's recommendation gave our family confidence to move forward with Brennan, and we now feel that confidence was misplaced. Companies endorsed by Costco should meet a significantly higher standard of workmanship, integrity, and customer support than what we experienced here. We strongly encourage other homeowners to thoroughly research HVAC contractors independently and not rely solely on Costco's recommendations or partnerships when making major home investment decisions.

Heres what weve shopped there: Clothes Work shoes Dog accessories and self serve dog grooming Vet care Household and garden tools Grilling and BBQ IF coastal had groceries I literally wouldn't need to shop anywhere else. Its a big store but doesn't have a lot of sales coverage. Now, in my opinion, for MOST of Coastal niche market, there doesn't need to be a huge sales floor presence. You will need assistance for several back of the store items. Griils, fueled heaters, guns, and tools. So plan ahead by ordering online, or ask for help once you're in the building. Be patient the folks here really do try to help. On a recent visit, there side door was damaged. We went outside to look at garden clearance stuff, since nothing had been posted prohibiting going through, so we went out and the door locked behind us. Some customers were walking by and let us back in. We mentioned it to the cashier, and a floor manager over heard and authorized a discount on our purchase. Very unnecessary, but nevertheless appreciated. Besides great prices, and products the self serve dog washing facility is clean and simple and great if you have fur babies that would drown your home bathroom out trying to wash them at home. All in all, a wonderful place, and if you find yourself going there for a reason, you wont be disappointed.

Several White Leghorn chicks were actively pecking at and eating the vents of other chicks. Three were bleeding severely, and we immediately separated them while my mother ran to get help. Instead of responding with urgency, the employee who identified herself as Shawna became confrontational and accused my mother of being rude for the tone she used while trying to report an animal welfare emergency. When you're watching baby chicks being seriously injured, you expect staff to focus on helping the animals, not criticizing the customer asking for assistance. The store manager, Garrett, later spoke with us and acknowledged that they had more chicks than they were selling quickly. The enclosure we observed was overcrowded, contained mixed breeds, had no food available, and very little clean water. Those were the conditions we personally observed, recorded, and photographed. I reported the incident to the city, which informed me they would be monitoring the situation. I also spoke with the regional manager afterward. He apologized, asked for my mailing address, and said he would send gift cards as an apology for our experience. I provided my address, never received anything, and never heard back despite the promise. The gift cards aren't the reason for this review. The real issue is how the animals were being kept, the dismissive response when we asked for help, dishonesty, and the failure to follow through after acknowledging the situation.
