First visit in several months and I noticed prices are up quite a bit. That said, the shelves were neat and well stocked with lots of workers refilling stock and keeping items neat. The store was very clean which is an improvement over my previous visit. Checkout was quick and efficient. I may visit more often in the future. read more

I'm so glad I no longer have to patronize this store. I HATED this place for years. I regularly shop at Aldis and a small local grocer not too far away but needed to get extras from Walmart here and there for vitamins, meds, etc. My daughters and I got a Costco membership to eliminate our Walmart trips and I'm happy to report, we no longer have to deal with the rude shoppers and the horrible employees at this Walmart who treat you like ABSOLUTE crap. The regular check out lines are filled with folks with the WORST attitude ever and can barely speak well. The self-check out is ran by weirdos who breathe down your neck thinking you're gonna steal EVERY SINGLE TIME. I have never stolen a thing in my life but if you come here to the self-check, they will treat you like you have. I can't tell you how many times someone is right there staring at you like a weirdo and then rushes to the monitor to tell say I didn't scan something only to review the video on the screen and find out I did NOT MISS A THING... And the people checking receipts can't say hello or ANY kind of greeting to save their life. Instead, they roll their eyes at you or swat you away if you give them your receipt to check. The aisles are filled with folks who don't know how to stay to a side and would rather stay idle with their carts in the MIDDLE of the way and then have the nerve to look at you like you're in the wrong. The workers stocking food while you are shopping will literally run you over with their bigger carts/machines and give you the nastiest looks instead of simply saying, "Excuse me." GOOD BYE!! Absolutely terrible experience. Ordered 2 photobooks and when I went to collect it, the photo center said that the photobook items were discontinued and just gave me the photos. I had paid for the full photobooks and they told me to go to customer service to get back the refund; but when I went there they asked me to go back to photo center and so on. After about 25 minutes I was fed up and decided to just leave without even the refund as it was just not worth it. read more

This is the time you need to go and buy the items that are on sale. All the outdoor furniture, solar lights, grills, gardening stuff is on huge discounts. If you need anything out of these things, you should definitely go to this place. And trust me they are going fast. The store is stocked with Halloween decor now. This was probably the best Walmart store I have been to in recent times. I found it to be clean, and well-organized, and the shelves properly stocked with merchandise. I found what I was looking for and I received good customer service. The checkout process was quick and easy. This super Walmart is easily better than the Wheeling location and I found it better than the Mt. Prospect one as well. I haven't been to the Palatine one in a long time. You call this a Supercenter? I wouldn't even give this place the title of a Walmart. This store truly breaks the mold for Walmart stores. Palatine, no problem, smaller store, it's got more limited inventory, but it's clean and well staffed. Buffalo Grove, now that is a Supercenter you want to use. This? Avoid Lake Zurich like plague. Employees go around without masks, people are swarming around without masks. Hand sanitizer stations are flat empty and broken / dirty looking. Stock is picked over and or dirty / unkempt looking. Want a box of 60 eggs? Forget this store. You can go to Buffalo Grove or hell go all the way to Northlake which isn't a Supercenter yet somehow has 60 count eggs and is far better maintained. Walmart needs to stop opening stores in every city and start shutting down underperformers like this craphole! read more

I called at 2:30 PM on 2/7/24 and there was no answer. Then I bought an open box and wanted to look for alternative and I couldn't.

If I could zero stars I would.... The country is in trouble example #974: So I go to pick up a curbside order from the Lake Zurich WalMart and asked the young man if everything was "available and in the order". He said it was and loaded it into my trunk. I get home and find two items we paid for are missing, not a lot of money ($8 and change) but I have a problem paying for something and not receiving it, so I figure a quick call to WalMart and it can be corrected, right? So I call WalMart: 1. I have to call 4 times and let it ring until it disconnects each time before someone answers 2. The young man who answers either was in the job his first day and perhaps first job, but he couldn't answer any of my questions 3. In spelling out the missing items, I had to speak slowly and repeat myself, spelling the word "bakes" at least 4 times. 4. One option he offered was "you can come back here and get it" (NO KIDDING? He did NOT want me in person there at this point) In the end, he said I would have to call 1-800-WALMART to correct the problem....and then he offered to give me the number. Let that sink in...he wanted to give me the number to 1-800-WALMART read more

This review is just for the curbside pickup as I try to spend as little time as possible grocery shopping. I have been using this service weekly for almost 2 years now and have had very few mistakes with my orders whereas with another local grocery store I had mistakes on almost every order. The app is easy to use and navigate and I like that I can approve substitutions easily. I always use the on my way feature and rarely wait for more than a few minutes for my order to come out. The workers are always polite and load my items nicely into my car. I find the prices to be the lowest around without having to shop sales and they typically have everything I need for the week. read more

This lady named DIANE who works 3rd shift, harassed my 5 year old daughter and I while shopping! She was mumbling rude things to us then runs to another employee to talk bad and comes back as if we didn't hear her talking loud. She was looking at me up and down giving me a very dirty look as if I was doing something wrong!!!! She definitely does not deserve a job here! Also was complaining that we were not wearing a mask!! Covid is gone hunny. If you're still scared stay your ass home! Management did not do anything besides tell her to go to the back room to wait until I finished shopping! Which I just literally walked into Walmart barely got 1 item!!!! I did not purchase anything due to the fact that I got harassed and was not feeling comfortable here. read more

Stopped in at this Walmart in Lake Zurich at 8:45 last night. Went to the check out and to my surprise there were no cashiers. There was one guy there instructing everyone that we had to use the self check out. I was pissed off because I had a lot of items and when I have a cart load of items it's easier to go to a regular check out. As I was fumbling through trying to pack a cart load of stuff on that small bagging area a handicap guy in his wheelchair started to complain to the worker asking what checkout was open. Again the guy told him it was only self checkout. At this point the customer got upset and started asking the guy how is he supposed to check himself out? The worker just kind of shrugged his shoulders and right at that moment myself and another customer asked the guy if we could help him check out. He was grateful to us for asking but declined our offers. At that point the worker decided he better offer his help. At this point the handicap gentleman said a couple of expletives and declined his help and said "screw this I don't want any of this I'm going to Jewel". Now the only reason I stopped at this particular Walmart was because we were passing through this area on our way home. After seeing this spectacle We will not shop here again. They are getting rid of all the workers and making the customers check themselves out. They got rid of the older greeters and replaced them with younger able bodied people that racially profile people to check receipts at the doors. What I want to know is when are we going to get discounts for doing the job they took away from so many people? My advice to the people of Lake Zurich, pass on Walmart and shop one of the 2 Jewel food stores down the road. At least they support the local economy and hire real workers. read more

Walmart does everything they can to make your shopping experience of displeasure. The Lake Zürich Walmart was good it's declining very quickly I came to pick up a prescription that was supposed to be ready hours ago. This will be the third time I get in line to see if it's ready yet. You're lucky if you can get one cart through the isles here they have them so jammed with pallets. The only reason I continue to use Walmart is my prescriptions have to be filled here or it's considered out of network. Otherwise I truly believe I would not come here. read more

Photo center. Christmas cards came with enormous envelopes not suitable for the photo card ordered. Also there were only 49 envelopes out of 60. PLUS the envelopes would not seal. They were clearly old and I feel Walmart was trying to get rid of them. They were garbage. Too bad I had already put all the labels and stamps on so I had to make do with a roll of tape for sealing. Embarrassing due to Walmart's continued lack of concern for customer satisfaction and gross ineptitude. read more

The store personnel are not enforcing the face mask rules in the store. I asked a young woman politely to put her mask on and she replied "in a minute." She never did. She moved to the next aisles without her mask and no one said a word. As she was leaving she removed the mask that was dangling around her neck, turned around and gave me a dirty look. During this Pandemic employees go above and beyond at other similar stores(Target) they actually have ready wiped and cleansed carts for customer use when you get to their door. But this Walmart, an abled door greeter was right in front of the carts just looking at his phone and doing nothing. I asked where the wipes were and dead silence. I placed my in-app grocery order for the Walmart in Lake Zurich on Tuesday for Wednesday pickup. I was honestly shocked they could turn it around that quickly with everything going on right now but great!! Wednesday morning I received an email that due to high volume, they had to cancel my order. Slighted annoyed however with the apology also came a nice sized credit toward a future order. They also provided instructions on how to quickly add the same items from my order to my cart so I could schedule another delivery. I did this, which was super easy, and have a date set for Friday. This afternoon I get a call from the store making sure I saw my email and once again apologizing. I just wanted to give them credit for great customer service and doing what they could to ease any inconvenience this may have caused. read more

Terrible experience trying to place an online delivery order to my mother in laws nursing home .5 mile way! First they delivered the wrong order to her. Then after four phone calls to customer service the store etc. nobody could figure out what needed to be done. I was rushed off the phone told I'll get a call back without asking for my phone number and still no help. Pretty old school location that's needs serious updating and organizing. It's pretty much a place I only go if it is absolutely necessary. The lay out is just a jumbled mess and the shelves are just in disarray. I will say the store is at least as clean as you can expect it to be and they usually are stocked with everything it's just hard to find it because the shelves are a mess. read more

Although this location is a little further out of our usual radius we ofeten come here to buy organic apples because they have those bagged extra small ones that we love so much. This is s great location and the perfect complete variety of products expected from this major retailer. I only go to Walmart for a few things, specifically every time I go there for their awesome Italian bread for $1. But they used to stock pressured loaves. Now they never do and you have to bring it to the bakery employee to slice the bread. Normally there's a really nice guy with a ponytail that does it right away. Awesome guy. But if he's not there you have to flag down an employee, most of which are not trained to use the sliced so what used to be a walk in grab and go is now a 10-20 minute process. I also enjoy interacting with a human that does their job at the register. I don't get paid to ring in my own stuff so I refuse to use self checkout. There should be an item limit to do self checkout so jerks with 30 items aren't holding up the self checkout read more

This is the nicest Walmart I've visited. So much so that I take the 5 mile trip from Palatine and bypass the one in Palatine 2 miles from my house. Something about this location is different - maybe it's because of the drop ceiling or the lighting - makes it feel less like a warehouse than a typical Walmart. Our favorite thing to get here is the fresh ribeye steaks 2 for $14-16 from the meat cooler. Saving $10-15 over other supermarket's price made our summer cookouts extend deep into the fall! read more

I love this Walmart!!! Such a great alternative to the one on Lake Cook. The customer service is friendly, they treat the customer normal and actually follow procedures but make exceptions to things with logical reason! I will be back! I will have to say the drive is a tiny bit farther than Lakecook rd. Walmart but make the drive it is well worth it. They don't stare, they don't degrade and is an example of what a normal Walmart should be. read more

I was wanting to make Spanakopita and the only ingredient I needed was frozen phyllo dough sheets. I tried Jewel and they didn't have it, so I searched for places on the web that sold phyllo dough near Lake Zurich, and found this Walmart. I was in a hurry because I had frozen and refrigerated food in my car, that I had purchased at Aldi's. I was hoping to get in and out quickly and immediately grabbed a cart and started searching the freezers. After going through twice, an employee asked what I was looking for, and when I said phyllo, he pulled his electronic pad out and let me type Phyllo into the search field and up pops Phyllo Dough, but he scrolled past the phyllo dough, even when I was pointing right at it, and saying that's it! He would not scroll back to it and selected "pastry dough" and there was nothing I could say to get him to go back to the phyllo dough. I went and asked 3 more employees and got nothing! I ended up abandoning my cart and left the store angry. I was going to buy a few other items, namely a bag or two of frozen whole crayfish, a 12 pack of beer, and a tub of coleslaw. Why do companies make it so hard for me to do business with them? read more

You get paid $12 a hour to be worked out of you're mind. Go work at Macdonald's or somewhere else, they pay $12 a hour too and at least you won't be running around and getting yelled at every two minutes. Horrible hours and management. Managers are always on you to do more and more work. read more

I do not like to write bad reviews but I had a horrible customer service experience and felt like I had to. I went to the store to pick up an item. On the website, they said that they had them in stock at the Lake Zurich Walmart. I went to the store to find them, I asked the man in electronics named Dirk where these items are, he took me to that area. I looked and they didn't have the same model that I was looking for. I went back to the counter and asked him if he knew where the ones I was looking for were. He responded that they would be in that area. I showed him on my phone the exact model I was looking at and it showed they were in stock. He then stared at me for 10 seconds and said, if we had them, they would be there in a condescending tone. I understand that the website may not always match up with what the store has and that is fine, but treating a customer in the way that he did when I was looking for an explanation, or thinking that they may have been moved to a different area which happens a lot during the holiday season, is just bad customer service. I don't expect great customer service when going to Walmart, but this man was down right rude. read more

This Walmart is nicer than the others around. Could use better customer service, but I guess this is Walmart, right? The stationary isle where the bubbler mailers are, is ALWAYS empty.. When asking for assistance in the store, you're better off just finding it yourself or going elsewhere.. The employees seem to "go look" for what you're trying to find in the back, and they completely disappear for 25-30 mins.. Annnd that's on a good day, when it's slow.. I've seen employees put room temperature, chicken back into the deli cooler when it was clearly sitting out for a few hours on a shelf.. I watched her do it. It's very obvious how management is run here. Lots of unhappy employees, but you get that anywhere you go. I wish when looking at the sports cards section, I wasn't being followed and making myself feel like I am doing something wrong when I'm clearly looking to buy.. But hey it's business, right? We stopped coming here as much because my boyfriend and me are always being watched by the employees and a lot of the time we leave, there is ALWAYS a cop or an undercover following us out past the light... If we are criminals, please pull me over, so I can prove otherwise.. All in all, this Walmart is on the nicer side compared to others.. Just a little sketchy when you feel like you're being followed/watched.. Your typical 3 star rating retail store. They do have great clearance!! read more

WARNING: Have always been careful what I buy at WALMART... last straw: Automotive Batteries are inferior quality. If planning to sell car soon, then buy but if planning to keep car or take any lengthy trip... you've been warned. Go to Costco and buy Interstate battery for same price... Walmart brand (Maxx Life, Everstart)=4yrs... Costco brand (Interstate)=12+ years. No comparison on quality. And, by the way, "Lifetime Guarantee" at Walmart is worthless. read more
