First off it's a Walmart so like I always say: you need to lower your standards. That being said this Walmart fell short for me. I went there really early, probably 20 minutes after they opened, on a Sunday morning. You had your typical angry employees and then you have the overly friendly type. I don't appreciate being flirted with while trying to purchase a yogurt for breakfast, thanks anyways. (lol) Thankfully over the years I've become paranoid about food dates and I noticed the orange juice I was planning on buying was 2 MONTHS expired, disturbingly it didn't look bad other than the container was bloated. (yikes!) Same thing with the yogurts; half of the nutty nana chobani flips were expired so I had to find one in the back that was okay. I also got some great value precooked bacon which was "bleh" at best. Check out was okay, I used self check, and the cashier working was your typical angry type. I wished her a good morning and her response was "yeah whatever". Okay... While I sat in the parking lot I noticed the clientele of this store early in the morning is questionable and I finally got so paranoid I left and finish my yogurt later on. Well, it's a Walmart. And, since it's still so new it's clean and orderly. We all know that won't last though. What I also like about this Walmart is its lighting and layout. The lighting is not the normal harsh lighting most Walmarts have. And the layout makes sense. A lot of times that's not the case with Walmart. While this Walmart isn't bad, I won't be a regular. I also was wondering why there were two cop cars outside when I walked in yesterday. Here's why: Chaos! Walmart cashiers do not not help to move along patrons holding up the line on their cell phones in the express line. Walmart security defers to Lakeside Police to handle any problems they have - so DON'T ask for security there. You don't know what you will get. Walmart managers are incapable of managing situations - like opening another register to help or even asking what the problem was in their own store. This location's staff is poorly trained. If you are going to shop at Walmart, I recommend another location. read more

me and my husband went in there to get a few things and went to go check out at a self check out and after ringing every thing up and paying the machine come up credit card oly no cash . we ask one of the employees why is there no sigh they said the machine says it . only after you hit pay we asked to speak to a supervisor and they came up and said we dont have to post just use your eyes go to full service . got into an argument if i wanted full sevice i would have went there ivwanted to do self check out less people touching . they said self services is going to this . great walmart your stupid cause not all people have credit cards and only have cash and like self check out . to do there own bagging . watch out people read more

I shop here all the time. Yesterday, I went to pick up a few items on my way home from work. The 'door checker' was busy chit-chatting with someone when I walked past her and out the door with my purchased items. She chases after me screaming at me that she needed to check my cart. Best free CrossFit in town. Showed up this morning and people were lined up around the block to get in. As soon as the doors opened, everyone started on legs AND upper body as we dug in and indiscriminately shoved the person closest to us. If someone fell down, you just moved on. Great warm-up! I probably got 20-25 reps in, but it was hard to tell as a lot of us combined to "pancake" other members. Once inside, it looked like most people moved to the electronics section. There, I met Gary. Gary is probably in his mid-forties and is trying to get back in shape just like me. We locked eyes over a Samsung 4K and it was on. Grabbing an end each, we spent four minutes engaged in some of the most rigorous tug of war I've ever had. He kept yelling "It's for my kids!" which I think is one of the best reasons to get in shape. Gary might have walked away with the flatscreen, but I feel like we both left with a new exercise buddy. Then came the clean and jerks. I usually do about 95 pounds, but there were so many people still laying outside, I figured I had to get them back to electronics. Mostly women and children, I'd say I did about 10 reps at this station before my hands got really sticky with some kind of red Gatorade they had gushing from under their clothes. Must be those cool new Gatorade Prime Sports Fuel Drink pouches. The head trainer was this amazing fitness granny named Doris. I kept trying to pay her on the way out, but she kept repeating "Hello there! Hello there!" regardless of whether people were coming or going. It's one of my favorite new mantras, as we have too much of a tendency to focus on the past. I think what Doris is trying to tell us is to say "Hello there!" to our future. Only four stars because someone said the next class isn't for another 364 days. read more

Ranking this Walmart one star is an insult to the star. Walmart normally has customer service among the worst in the industry, but Lakeside Wal-Mart's customer service far exceeds the worst of the worst category. If there were negative stars in Yelp 5 would not be enough to express the disfuntion in this stores Customer Service Department. This walmart should be avoided at all cost. Even after talking to a Manager and working out a refund for missing items it still took 20 minutes for the incompetent clerk and a useless "Customer Service Manager" to complete the transaction. 35 minute waiting in a line with only 5 people in it and another 20 minutes to get the incompetent clerk and manager to actual listen to the customer. Closing this store and boarding up the door would be a first step in improving this stores Customer Service Department. read more

It only took 5 requests from me to make it happen.) 17FEB2013 A brand-new 100K+ sqft emporium designed to get you to buy goods made by Chinese prison labor. Huge. Really huge. Glad that I do not frequent these emporia. However, I did save a $1 per item on body wash. But, no toilet paper of the proper kind. Walmart's own brand and a huge empty space. Lame. It is only 10 blocks from my house so I suppose that I will spend at least $20/month there in the future. Fat people. Gotta say - i gave a little over 3 cause it's shiny and new! Even the customer service area was empty! And the angels sang... It is a layout i'm not familiar with, aka - not like the one in Stapleton - but i was able to meander pretty quickly to the toilet flappers i needed! There were a few lines open, and lots of stock available. I liked the new carts and the clean floors and sunny lighting. It's near my costco of choice, so i can see me visiting more often than the stapleton one... read more

Deli Review--bought marked down items from the deli at 4:15 pm. Did not expect much but boy was I surprised. The orange chicken was Good! Not as good as a restaurant but a lot better than reheated frozen food. The egg potato salad was also very good and fresh and the broccoli salad was the best I've ever had! It had lots of wheat-berries and nuts and grapes. I am astounded. Who'd a thought.....? read more

Wouldn't even give this store a star if I could. Save your time and money. Will not ever be returning to this HORRIBLE facility. Walmart, this location is a SHAME on your brand. Unless you have the patience to deal with teenage workers who don't give a sh** about their jobs, don't go here. I've given this Walmart so many tries but this last trip did it for me. The store is completely packed, smells like BO and Cigarettes every worker is either grouped together hanging out or has earbuds in. The customer service line will always be over a 30 minute wait and when you get to the associate you will then wait another 20 minutes to solve your problem. For Walmart this place gets 5 stars. Every time I'm here its quick and easy without all the people. Place is clean, the employees have been nice and helpful. went to Walmart at 94th and Sheridan in Westminster co today.My wife always needs a handicap cart to do her shopping. Today was the straw that broke Walmarts back as far as us ever shopping there again. Many occasions we have gone there, no carts available so we leave, today got a cart said had a full charge, not even halfway thru our shopping it died. of course no more carts available. Told the wife : We are out of here, left all the items in the aisle along with the dead cart. Ordered a bike to pick from the store. I was under the impression that it would be assembled so I was dropped off thinking I would ride it home. When I picked it up it was in a box with assembly needed. A wonderfully kind man named Henry assembled my bike in less than 15 minutes for me. Went into this store today for the first time to purchase pet food for a local animal shelter. Our cashier, Diane, in lane eight, was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. After spending $400, you would think she could have uttered "thank you" or "have a nice day".... All we received a receipt and a dirty look. July 2, 2015 The only good thing about this store is the self checkouts, and those have there problems some days too. I went to walmart this morning for some fabric. After waiting a few minutes I went to the electronics department to ask for assistance. Then continued to wait. I waited a few minutes, then went back to electronics to have them call again.Mind you the employees back at electronics did not look happy to help me. I continued to wait...So I got on my phone and called. I asked for assistance in Fabric. Still waiting...So I called again...Still waiting. I really wanted the fabic so I hung in there till there was an employee strolling by. I asked her for help and she was really nice and helped me. But of course they NEVER have a scanner back in fabric, so once again...I was waiting. With this kind of customer service I really don't see how you sell ANY fabric. This is one on many complaints I have with this store. But the wait time was awful!! I really don't know why I keep coming back to this store. This may be the last time.... read more

The Good: A big brand new CLEAN Walmart. So new you can still smell the paint fumes when you walk in the door. The best thing about this Walmart though is the shopping carts which are so BRAND NEW and untarnished by broken, squeaky, and rattling wheels that plague every single Walmart. They glide quietly and comfortably across the floor when you push them. Yes, Walmart Shoppers, this is like driving the Lexus of shopping carts with the comfort of smooth suspension. The Bad: It's located where the old Lakeside Mall used to be meaning it won't be long before this clean, new Walmart with its luxurious new shopping carts is dirtied by the filfth of The People of Walmart. In other words, enjoy it while it lasts which will only be a matter of months. The Ugly: Like most Walmarts, this one is sure to become Ghetto Fabulous in less than a year. The location is sketch and near the old dilapidated Lakeside amusement park which should be condemned, it is destined to become just as run down and grimey very fast. read more

The CSM name "Happy" is not only rude, but she has an attitude. I only asked her to change my $20.00 for a smaller bill, but she rolled her eyes at me and even gave me the worst customer service I can ever have when I ask her can she show me to an item I was looking for. Not only that, but the way she treats the cashier and the customer service people is so rude! Not only does she argue with them, but she gives them an attitude IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS! That is very unprofessional! And their other CSM "Patient" is not even Patient with customers! When I ask her for help with jewelry, she told me that its not her job and that I have to go find one of the jewelry staff in the shoe department! PHARMACY ONLY--twice they have not had a very common monthly medication of mine but this last time is the last time I'll ever use them again. They received the prescription on a Thursday. On Friday morning at 9am I came in to pick it up. They then told me they couldn't fill it until Saturday because my insurance wouldn't pay for it until then. I said ok, no problem. Tho I was a little suspicious of this due to it being a new/updated prescription from my dr. On Saturday a pharm tech called me to inform me that they did not have my medication and would need to order it. They only receive orders twice a week and Wednesday was going to be there next. WEDNESDAY? I asked why they didn't order the Med upon receiving the script from my dr. on Thursday? They said it was received passed the cutoff on FRIDAY. That was a bold face lie on their part! I know they received it on Thursday as I came in on Friday at 9am to be told it would be ready on Saturday. NEVER again. I've transferred my script to Walgreens and tho they needed to order it in as well, they ordered it on Sunday and it was filled and ready on Monday. They also told me that for future fills they will make sure they have it available since I will now be filling there once a month. That is how it's done ladies and gentleman. read more

I purchased a Cricut cutting machine for $200+ and when I got home, the box had the wrong machine in it and none of the "included" accessories. When I called the store to see if I could come exchange it they said I could do an even exchange or return it - so when I ubered back to the store with the heavy machine only to get there to find out I could not return OR exchange the item and they told me I would have to contact the manufacturer. I spoke to 2 assistant managers and they were both extremely rude. Worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with. read more

Horrible experience in the photo department for the third time. We have some wedding photos that we wanted to print out and give to my parents while they're in town. Fortunately the instant printer is out of paper as always. The lady told us to come back and get fat photos in the morning which is pretty contrary to instant printing. Within 1 month of opening this store, which is about 3 blocks from me, it has gone downhill. I have always shopped Walmart for food and other products and I was very excited to have a new store so close. Here is an overview of this store. Customer service is usually good once you are served in the return line, but the lines are very long way too often and people are visibly tired of it. Often times the shelves are out of stock and selection is limited. I have seen mold on the onions for sale. The self serve checkout was filthy tonight when I went. There was un-purchased food laying about, plastic bags everywhere, hangers on the floor, etc. and the attendant I sorry to say, obviously didn't care about any of it. What a gross mess. I am so sick of dealing with the poor service and out of stock problems that I will take my business elsewhere. My neighbors have already quit going... read more

The securirty at the door bothers me, it's like everyones a criminal "unless" they show their receipt. It's good to come here to find cheaper than normal prices, but I'd rather pay more than to deal with the people who work here.
