My sister and I visited Walmart Store #3469 today under extremely difficult circumstances. Our brother recently passed away, and we have been trying to contact the store for over a week with no success. I live in California, my sister lives in Florida, and we both had to go to the store in person just to try to get answers. We went to the store to return our brother's work equipment and to speak with a manager regarding whether he had any benefits or life insurance through Walmart that could help with funeral arrangements. We repeatedly asked to speak with a store manager. Instead, we were first sent a team lead, and when we asked again, a coach came out. When we explained the situation--that our brother had passed away, that we were his family, and that we needed help confirming his benefits--the coach was dismissive and unwilling to assist. We were simply told that "his emergency contact was contacted" and nothing more. No empathy, no guidance, and no effort to help us understand the process or confirm whether life insurance exists. We were told he does have insurance, but no one would help us verify this or connect us with the store manager who could actually assist. This was an incredibly frustrating and painful experience during an already devastating time. The lack of compassion, accountability, and basic assistance was unacceptable. Families dealing with loss should not be treated this way or forced to jump through endless hoops just to get information. read more

Clean but very very crowded. Just needed a few items and had to wait and search for them. Very similar to Walmarts I frequent at home, just took time to weed through the crowed store this day. Worst customer service ever! Even for a Walmart!! Asked not on but 4 Walmart employees where I could find acrylic paints. The first two ignorant employees told me they're busy...I said I just need to ask a quick question. Then they point to the middle of the store and said it's over there. SUPER helpful. They were too worried about the non work convo to help a customer! The second set...she didn't speak English...and the guy sent me to section F. Just so anyone else cares they're ACTUALLY in J. I must be nuckin futs but venturing into a Walmart on a Black Friday weekend seemed like lunacy... all except for the fact that the smallish crowd and almost organized shelves could make it any day in February. Where's the nuclear winter dishevelment and mayhem to make the season bright? I spend significant money at this Walmart in Linden, NJ. I arrived to do my shopping, and to my surprise, this store had no Handicap cart for someone like me with a torn meniscus on my knee. And God forbid any employee helped me find a cart. All they said was that the carts for me to sit in were broken, and my husband had to go around the store to get a cart to put small children in. I sat in this cart while my husband pushed the cart around the store. Other customers were looking at me because I was sitting in this cart. It's so sad and embarrassing, to say the least. Horrible. The employees look like they don't want to be there and don't even greet you at the register. They have no bags for you to bag your groceries. None! You have to purchase every bag for $.75 ea. And then you have to bag it your darn self because they could care less to help you bag even one item in the expensive bags they force you to buy. Worst experience I've ever had in my entire life with any establishment I brought my little cousin to visit a Walmart for the first time in her life since she's from out of the country We spent about 2 hours filling up a buggy Stopped at subways for a "break" ate about half an hour I mentioned to her I was grabbing another empty buggy to continue with our shopping since the first one is full However this lady and man confronted my cousin for passing the register line . Mind u the subways is past that line anyways so we were already past that point an hour ago. They accused us of trying to shop lift. I like to come to Walmart because a lot of times this store is cheaper than going to the grocery store. However, it's almost not worth it when you come in at 8 am and the shelves are EMPTY! I get it, Christmas is in 3 days. But you opened at 6 am. There's like 50 customers in this store. How are your shelves already empty?! And not one single hand cart to be found!!! Wtf. Also, the service is GOD AWFUL! They close customer service so early at 8 pm. Shut down one entrance/exit of the store so you have to walk so far to get in and out. Makes no sense. I came here a couple weeks ago to get a Christmas tree and the one I wanted was on a top shelf and there was no one around to help me get out down. I found a woman and she said oh that's not my section. I said ok, can you get someone to help me then? She said go to toys. I said I walked all around this area and you're the only one I've seen! Just off Route 1 and 9 South in Linden, NJ at the former GM plant site, this is their newest location and my go to place right before work. Parking is never an issue as it's huge. The store is spacious where their aisles are clean and wide. For most part, their shelves are always being re-stocked when I'm visiting them in the morning. The area surrounding this place is currently in the construction mode for new stores. I recommend this place. read more

Another day on the hunt for Lysol but I needed a couple of other things as well. I arrived and parked in the parking lot and seen there was a line to get in. I went to stand in it and it moved at a decent pace. When I got in I went to see if they had any Lysol and of course they didn't. So I proceeded to get my other items and they had what I needed. Yes, I have lived in BK for many years, but I would NEVER move back to NYC . I like being able to drive around and discover new places. Walmart, Costco, outdoor malls..WHATEVER! It's all here in Jersey! EAT YOUR HEART OUT NEW YORK! Lol I digress....on to the review! This is the new SUPER Super Walmart! Omgosh is this one HUGE! I have nevver been to one this big before. Very OVERWHELMING! Omg babies crying, kids screaming - total pandemonium and chaos lol! I knew from the drive in tHe parking lot that I was gonna be in trouble. But it's a SATURDAY, and what do Jerzians like to do best on Saturday-SHOP! Very exhausted walking through this store bc it's not liKe your regular WM you go to and know where everything is. But I was brave and glad I was and wouldn't mind checking it out again, maybe on a Monday, say around 10ish, maybe it won't be so bad then. The entire Walmart portfolio has moved to 1050 W Edgar road. This is a new revamped Walmart with grocery, home & pharmacy and all the services into one roof. The place is huge with lots of parking space. I had a pickup order during thanksgiving from this place and google maps took me to the old Walmart location which was a couple of blocks away from their new location and to the opposite side of the street. They have this board outside letting customers know that they have changed their location which thankfully, wasn't that far away and was just a couple of minutes drive. All that being said, this Walmart is huge and this shopping complex is still adding a few other stores. The pickup process was very simple. You first have to check in with your Walmart app. Once you're checked in, head on to the store. They have this huge board just as you enter for pickup and you scan your barcode and get your item. I did a little grocery shopping as well after my pickup. One can hardly go wrong with Walmart purchases be it electronics or general grocery shopping. They have excellent customer service and the entire process was seamless (except for the change in location of the store). read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. The absolute worst store I've ever been to! The store has like 2 employees, the shelves always look like they're going out of business. Despite not wanting to shop in the store, there was an item only they had so I figured i do curbside. For 2 hours I called to inform them that I was on the way since I don't have the app. Not 1 answer from the department or the store itself. After arriving there was a secondary number to call which gave a cell phone voicemail. No answer for 25 minutes. Someone answered finally when I was about to go inside. For 1 item I waited 20 mins. We came to this Walmart twice in one day, due to the well stocked shelves and interesting selection of merchandise. The store was fairly clean and it was nice to have sanitizing wipes to clean your hands and baskets as you enter the store. Much like other locations, there is a lot of stuff to choose from. The only issue we really had was actually finding some of the items on the shelves. They were put in really weird places. It took us a little longer than usual to stock up on staples because this location was configured so differently. The few staff we encountered were nice. All in all, it was ok. read more

Newly opened Walmart at a former GM plant in Linden. Like other Walmart Super Stores, isles were spacious and well stocked. Everything was very well organized. Plenty of personnel around for assistance. I was impressed with the refrigeration in the meat department. Refrigerator bins that are usually opened and caked with ice in other supermarkets, have plastic lids on them thus keeping the temperatures more uniformed and moisture out. Checking out was a breeze. Even though the store was very busy, there were an abundance of cashiers and self-checkouts; hardly any waiting. The store has a Subways restaurant, money service center, and nails & beauty salon in the front. Shopping center has plenty of parking unlike the older Walmart across the highway. I usually don't shop in that old Walmart because of crowded isles, lack of parking, and long check out lines but I will definitely shop at this location again. read more

Horrible Hood-Rat Staff & Horrible Unorganized Management!!!! I had purchased a few items online and the pickup process is Horrible!!! After a week of waiting, I start calling and calling, took about 12 attempts in one day to get a hold of someone!?, finally when they do pick up the person assisting me puts me on hold for over 2 hours!!!.... After the hold, I hear a beeping sound and a hang-up tone!!!...luckily for me, I was using my house phone on speaker. So I go in person and get in a long line and wait, wait, and some more waiting, about a good hour, so when I finally start seeing the pickup counter. I notice 7 workers behind the pickup counter with only 2 Walmart employee's using the computer! and the rest of the staff were just gossiping & joking among themselves! How professional does that look!? Figures why the line is so long and damn slow! I tell them I received an email stating my items were in store, so I show them proof through email. Items are ready in store for the past 2 days! Why is it taking them so long to process my purchased product!? Finally, I get a manager who's going to help me get my purchased items in the back, this is what I get instead: 1st day - Item was "supposedly" missing from the box?! 2nd day - Item was not available, yet they had more than enough on the floor! 3rd day - Item was sent in the wrong color! 3 separate days! Wasting my time away from work to get disappointed at the end! Well, after all the crap Walmart threw at me! I got my refund back from 2 items and I decided to go online and re-purchased the rest of my items from other stores and received the items within 2 days. These Walmart "Online Deals" are not worth the stress!... Never again!... It's not worth it!...Trust me!... You're better off paying extra for UPS or FED/EX than trying to save a few dollars. This is the closest Wal-Mart to where I live and I've been coming here since the day it opened. There's not much you can really expect out of any Wal-Mart. It's a gigantic warehouse like structure with row after row of light colored shelves, blue decor and piles of product in the middle of the aisle. What I give credit for with this location is its ability to keep things stocked. Generally I wind up here hunting for key items including Wal-Mart exclusive items for my collection and cheap home items (paper towels, cleaners etc.). The aisles are also generally kept clean and while not overly gracious, the staff ranges from being servicable to very good. If you're in the area and need to grab something quick for the house, this place is worth a visit but don't go out of your way to visit. read more

This new addition to Linden, New Jersey is great. It's the same Walmart that was in the other plaza except that it's a super Walmart. Meaning they have just about everything that you need. It's bigger so there are more varieties of items & goods. Most importantly, there is a supermarket inside as well. YOU CAN COMPLETELY GO FOOD SHOPPING IN THERE NOW! This is definitely a place where mom can get lost in all day if she wanted to. There are many check outs including self-checkout! This is a win for Linden for sure. read more

Every person i know who has been to the new Walmart Super Center in Linden has told me, "I will NEVER go back there again!" Last night I found out what they were talking about and can join their ranks. To begin, the staff is more than just unhelpful. The staff is rude. We saw some staff members who were in charge of putting merchandise away in the store and they were throwing merchandise into carts. They even threw two live poinsettia plants and the dirt fell out of the pots onto the floor. They seemed to be of a level of mind to find that funny. We were shopping and not finding much worth buying but we did have five or six things in our cart. We walked down the aisle to look at vacuum cleaners and when we went back to retrieve our cart one of the genius staff had taken it away. So we had no cart and none of the items we had picked out. I finally found an employee that I felt have enough grasp of English to explain it to and she just said, "Ohhhhh" and kept walking. These people are oblivious. It is obvious the store is understaffed but professionalism goes a long way. It is also obvious that the store was pushed to open in time for Cmas as there are large sections of the store that aren't filled with any merchandise. One of the things we needed to buy was a gift card. So this is after they lost our cart and treated us very rudely and discourteously. The cashier began by scanning the gift card and informing me, "This card has never been activated" Keep in mind this was after she was told, "I would like to put $25 on this gift card, please." She kept scanning it and scanning it and scanning it. She hadn't been trained on how to activate a gift card so we were not able to purchase the gift card. A woman in front of us was so fed up that I heard her say loudly, "Whatever! Just LEAVE it there. No, I don't want it. I don't want it!" and left the cashier area much to the stares of the other cashiers. We finally were leaving. We approached the doors where our car was parked and were told by an associate that the store was closed and the door was locked and we would have to go through the grocery store to leave! We were parked right outside the door in a handicapped spot because my wife is disabled. We explained that but were told the store was closed and the doors were locked. So we walked from one end of the store to the other, exited by groceries and then had to walk all the way back down to where our car was parked. Meanwhile we saw many people leaving through the door we had just been forbidden to use. I know you probably won't take my advice and STAY AWAY from this store. I didn't listen when I was told. But consider yourself warned. If you do wind up going you can't say you were never told. read more

It's a nice Walmart, especially that it now became a new super center, they have a chick fil a near it and as well as some other stores they are still building, it's fairly new and there is a nail salon inside as well as a subway (Sandwiches) they have a bunch of registers and self checkouts, it's somewhat clean. But when it's really busy the line can fill up to half the store. Most of the time things are stocked. Once again, very big nice Walmart read more

Staff was unable to help me with this problem other than to confirm they didn't work. (Staff was helpful and friendly in other guidance and the store was well stocked.) I was accompanying someone in a wheelchair, so we were able to shop together. However other potential patrons who didn't have similar help were stuck. This should not happen. Do better. read more

I have been shopping at this store for a while regularly, and lately, it seems the store has been out of every item I stop in there for. (I then go to the better stocked Walmart on Rt. 9 in Woodbridge which seems to have what I want). Also most employees are not very helpful, yet there seems to be so many of them everywhere, ignoring shoppers, often blocking shelves and aisles with no regard for anyone else, and good luck getting by them if they are approaching you and your cart with their merchandise cart. read more

This is by far the craziest Wal-Mart I have ever stepped foot in . The lines were extremely long , The lighting was a bit gloomy and uninviting. There is a target in the next lot over that was clean, organized and beautifully lit. I walked in that store to get a few simple things I prefer to buy at Wal-Mart and not Target however it was a zoo so I walked out with NOTHING. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say that it was a Holiday weekend but certainly they knew it was a Holiday weekend also and because of that they should have had more staff and a better system in place. This place seems to suck most close to closing time. That's when they have one cashier working. Other times that suck include: Nice weather days. Any time this place is open. I kid, I kid! *Buyer Beware!!!* My friend & I purchased two google wifi systems online for same day pick up at this location. When it was ready for pick I went picked it up and took it home. Open just one of the google boxes which was nicely wrap in clear plastic and when I opened the box, instead of having my google wifi it was a green extension cord!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Never in my life I would have expected this from a Walmart store. So I had to go back to the with my friend and they refused to take it back and made it look like we were the thief's that did this!! The other box they opened but it was ok. They suggested we call corporate so we did but at the end nothing was done and we ended up as we were the thief's!! After everything Walmart stole $280 right out of our pockets blind folded!! I will NEVER purchase a high value item from this Walmart ever again in my life!!! About 5 hours later .. My order is ready an I go to pick it up the guy at the counter has issues finding my order # as he looks threw the computer another guy comes out an looks at the computer .. Turns around an comes out with one of my items the rest they didn't have in store an couldn't find out why the computer said they were in stock because they don't have them ..so I just canceled my order and said to myself never again will I use this service at Walmart . ...... I also had another incident where The sign said 8.99 for 32 pack of cat food on the end of the isle displayed .. That's all it said nothing else .. So I decided to get 3 because that was a great deal .. I get to register and their ringing up as 14$ so I tell the lady .. She says hold on an makes me wait 20 min in line .. She comes back an tells me that their is a limit of 1 per customer for that price because that's not suppose to be the price ..not cool Walmart I have to suffer for ur mistake ..
