My car was burglarized in the parking lot. The area is nice but the Wal-Mart parking lot is like a ghetto.

I went here once…read moreright when they opened up, and it was alright...but today, I was blown away for multiple reasons! I was greeted as soon as I got to the store (I believe her name was Sam), and not only was she very welcoming and personable, but she also had some snack style samples offered-and let's just say I'm pretty sure I just found my new favorite snack-Strawberry and blueberry pretzels! Then, as I was doing my shopping, I had another employee (I'm so sorry, I didn't catch their name!) ask me if I was finding everything ok, and I replied with what I was on the hunt for (a very specific vitamin) and they showed me right to them, and asked if I would like some help finding anything else! Honestly, I can't remember the last time that I went grocery shopping and had someone ask me if I needed help finding anything, so this interaction really stuck out to me. As I went to check out, I was greeted with a SMILE and a "how are you, did you find everything ok today?"....checkout was fast and friendly! I just felt like everyone working there went above and beyond to make my (usually dreaded) shopping trip enjoyable-from being helpful, to simply smiling at me as we walked past each other, and even the bonus snack samples. The places I normally shop at (closer to my place) seem to be filled with employees that have a "ugh I don't want to be here right now" vibe (if you know what I mean), and I think that after getting used to seeing that all the time, and then coming here and having this experience today is a pretty darn good reason for me to break up with my old grocery stores, drive a bit farther and just come here from now on. Thanks for the wonderful experience, I look forward to coming back soon

For whatever reason, I thought it would be an order at the counter type of place. The interior was vibrant and colorful, and the weight staff was friendly and efficient. I ordered chicken adobo with Pancit and pork lumpia with a side of rice. The lumpia and pancit was tasty but the chicken adobo was the start of the show. My taste buds were in heaven! The pieces of chicken were on the smaller end but the taste of the gravy was just wonderful and rich. I enjoyed every bite. Also in the back of the restaurant they have baked items and some other Asian grocery items for purchase. A must try if your enjoy Filipino food.

This came immediately after being boldly instructed to stand at the 6 ft. line. Almost like being yelled at for putting the cleaner on the counter so the cashier could scan it. Perhaps her bold instructions would be better aimed at the cashier who moved around the force field to scan the cleaner violating my space. Just saying, if you're going to forcefully dictate what people are going to do, you might want to be nicer to begin with amd start the procedural conversation earlier. But calling me a jerk because i wouldn't break her own 6 ft rule? That's rude and uncalled for. There's no way to maintain 6 ft from the cash stand and check out.. politics... making rules that can't logically be enforced.

The best part about this location is the friendliness of the staff. Yep, every single time I have been here I feel that they are my person assistants. Nothing makes you feel better than having every single person that works at the location check-in with you to make sure that you are finding what you need. Customer service makes me quite slap happy (no physical abuse was dished as a result of these visits). Want to make pasta sauce from scratch but don't want to boil and peel the tomatoes (take that Al Gore), come here and get (they have a variety to chose from) red sauce cans the size of your head. Imagine how big my eyes get! The have some really well-prepared products and the usual industrial restaurant low-quality foods. Why pay $5 at Trader Joes for 6 ounces of sundried tomatoes when you can get a pound of them here for the same price? Like feta? They have the real Greek variety in a massive pounder bag that is resealable (insert seal sound). Blueberries at Kroger are roughly $5/pint. Here, you can get 4 pints for about $7. They do have limited fresh veggies and fruit. They cut meat and cheese to order. You can get everything from breakfast foods to dinner, snacks to super pleasing in taste dessert foods. Also, basic cleaning supplies come in super sized portions which are great on the budget (less the back). Overall, GFS is a time and budget saver. Great for buying large and saving more. Although the typical "shaped meats" and prepared sides haunt the shelves, take the time and you'll find high quality products amongst the ghostly waist increasers. They even have tastings like Costco and Sams. Hahahhaha

I have had hand surgery and can't pull their stupid hoses around my car nor should I have to when HALF of the pumps are empty. I followed the flow of traffic and backed my van into an empty gas pump lane (as I have done for the couple to fee years this location has been open) & had $5 of gas into my car when this little angry penguin lady waddled up and started screaming that I would have to turn my car around and if I didn't immediately threatening to turn the gas pump off. I told her I wouldn't be doing that and that by the time she could make it back to the register in the gas station office I'd have all the gas I need so I dared her to turn it off. This same lady used to be a regular customer at the starbucks in rivergate/madison area when I worked there and was insufferable/constantly complaining as a customer and obviously loves to scream at people both at work and outside of it while they're making here a 20 pump sugar "coffee." All that to say, I'll be making an extra effort to pump my gas "backwards" going forward. I'm all for following policies that make sense and keep people safe - but if I am pumping my own freaking gas I will pull my personal vehicle of which I am responsible for any scratches (should their hoses scratch my vehicle) in however the heck I choose to.

No circumnavigating 100's of people like I-24 in rush hour- driving baskets loaded to the ceiling with pallets of paper towels. No lines to the back of the store waiting to checkout. No lines backed up to registers with people waiting to go through a TSA like security check to get out the door. Here, for what is likely a limited time only, you blissfully browse your favorite products in bulk, or explore their house brand Berkeley and Jensen. Stack your cart to ceiling with very low cost but high quantity items-enough to feed and equip a small army or suburban neighborhood. I used to shop at, and love this store, because they had items I could not find elsewhere, and I found their products, though somewhat higher priced, were always excellent in quality, and their service superior. I no longer feel this way. Recently my daughter, on my 80th birthday, ordered and had delivered from your store a medium size $19 fresh flower arrangement plus some other items. These were delivered by a woman I assumed worked for your store. Sadly, the flowers were already wilting, and I had to throw them away the following day. I went by your store awhile later and told your service department what happened and asked if they would replace the flowers. She said I'd have to take that up with Instacart.
