If they were indeed prepared and packaged the same day, then the deli Mgr should talk to his purveyor/supplier and check his source. Maybe I hit a bad day, maybe this was just a rogue chicken, but these were actually inedible and ended up in the disposal. Beware of the tasteless, tough tenders. Just saying...

Since there's not a lot of shopping choices in-between Malone and Champlain to the east on US 11 (which has another huge Price Chopper), you would certainly want a grocery store which has a lot of options and decent prices. To this day it's her favourite salad dressing and we try to buy a case (of 12) twice a year! They have an excellent produce selection, seafood, cold cuts, and cool sauces and house brand Farm Boy brand + and excellent bakery! I've noticed they have boned up on prepared foods and have one of the biggest selection I have seen on K-cups for Keurig! It's really a shame we couldn't have FB in Montreal as it excels at providing a different yet fresh and cool selection of different products! They do not follow COVID regulations at all. I worked there for a few months, and had to complain…read moreto the ALDI Alert Line in order to have masks work by employees at all times (including in the cooler/freezer- where the virus could spread easiest). TWO employees tested positive for COVID, and I informed management (Christine). It was completely ignored for several days until the government reported it to the store and they were required to. They do not enforce customers wearing masks. The reasoning is "they might attack you." The store was cited by the health department for not enforcing these rules, yet as an employee I was not allowed to ask customers to wear masks? These people are going through the whole store, touching things and coughing on them, endangering literally anyone else coming into the store. They do not clean properly, as they should. They do not enforce regulations in the store/in the back, as they should. I have no doubt this store is responsible for quite a few COVID cases in this area. COVID aside, the produce is often not rotated, leaving rotten fruit and vegetables touching the "fresh" ones. ALWAYS check expiration dates- they love to sneak expiring stuff towards the front so they don't lose money. I honestly generally loved the work environment- very nice coworkers. But it's an unsafe store, and the management, while "effective" in keeping with capitalistic ideals, does not care about public health whatsoever.

I came back into town for a few days and stopped by to get some food for my trip and noticed they had a cafe serving sammie's and smoothies and had to try one. They were all dedicated GF which was so amazing since I have celiac disease and it's really hard to find good freshly prepared food without risking cross contact & getting sick. I got the avocado toast sandwich and it was AMAZING! Also grabbed a matcha latte & pumpkin pie on my way out which both hit the spot. Hailey the owner (I hope i spelled that correctly) was the sweetest and I had a great conversation with her about nutrition. The co-op itself has so many gluten free, vegan, organic and locally sourced food options to buy in bulk or by the package. I love the environment they create here and the workers are always so friendly and helpful. They also have a section of pre-made food (most of which is vegan) and it all looks freshly made and delightful!
