I took two HP 65 empty printer cartridges to the Walmart located in Maryville to purchase new ones. I selected a two pack 65 ONN XL cartridge pack and showed my empty cartridges to the clerk working in the Electronics Department to ask him if they will work in my HP printer. He looked at the empty cartridges and told me the pack I selected will work. I purchased the 65 ONN cartridges and inserted them in my printer when I got home. An error message came on my printer letting me know that the cartridges are not compatible with my printer even though my printer is one of the models that the cartridges are designed for. I took the cartridges back to the Walmart where I purchased them and the Customer Service Department was closed. A young woman was there and I explained what happened with my cartridges that I purchased and she told me that it's against Walmarts policy to refund money for opened ink cartridges. I asked her to get the manager and he came to talk with me after a 10 minute wait. The managers name is Jonah and he brought two other females and a young man with him. I told Jonah how I brought the empty cartridges with me to see if the cartridges I selected would work with my printer and the staff person acknowledged that they would. Jonah explained how unfortunately it's against Walmarts policy to accept opened ink cartridges and he's sorry that the employee told me that the cartridges would work but there is nothing he could do. After spending another 5 to 7 minutes explaining how it is unacceptable for me to eat the cost of the cartridges when I was told it would work Jonah would not change his position. Jonah asked me what I did with the empty cartridges. I thought he was going to reconsider and refund my money but he explained how he would use this situation for training purposes so this would not happen again. I didn't appreciate hearing how my situation will be used as a training prop for further encounters with customers. One of the females told me I could call the Walmart Customer Service number and maybe they could help me. I also purchased the HP 65 cartridges and Jonah told me they " will not " work if the previous cartridges did work. I thought that was inappropriate to say because I knew the HP cartridges would work. I left the store and called the Walmart Customer Service number I was provided. The customer service representative told me that the manager CAN make an exception because the employee told me the ONN cartridge would work. I went back in the store to speak with Jonah again and he was accompanied by his entourage. I told him that I spoke with customer service and they informed me that he could make an exception. He had a blank look on his face and he told me that he could but he wasn't going to make an exception. I asked him why and he just said he wasn't going to. First of all why did Walmart not think to ask shoppers what they want and how to arrange the store, something as simple as canned fruit , good luck finding a small can of pineapple , most recipes don't require a large can, further more not all fruit is located in the fruit isle most of it or the very few item they have are located in canned goods isle , baked beans not with the other beans, It is very miserable shopping experience not sure what they were trying to accomplish but they failed , very difficult to find an employee . It seems most things need to be ordered online, well if I'm going to do that I will shop at Amazon who has same day or next day delivery, I think they thought the remodel would make them more like a target.. wrong. Target , even though I don't shop there is more pleasing to shop at. I go to Walmart less and less . I used to be able find what I needed. Not now. Once again, I think Yelp has lost my review. I'm sure I reviewed this before. Oh, well. I still don't like this Walmart. I'm not a fan of Walmart in general. Some are better than others, and once in awhile it is the most convenient place to go. But I try to avoid it. This time, I ordered a desk online and figured the Marysville store was right on my way to work and all I had to do was run in, get the desk, and run out. I had forgotten about Walmart customers, and employees. From the people meandering aimlessly down the parking lot rows, talking and shouting, to the ones inside who didn't know how to drive shopping carts, to the surly employee who eventually showed up to help with my desk, I was annoyed the whole time I was there. I got it and skedaddled. No one bothered to check my receipt as I left with a big box in my cart. I've been before, at various hours. Service varies, but is usually mediocre. Selection is huge and prices are generally good (though not much better than any other big box store; seriously, why is Walmart considered so cheap? In relation to the mom and pop stores they run out of business, maybe, but compared to similar big stores, I don't get it.) The parking lot of this one, and most, is crazy. Place is just so inferior when you have other options all around. Grocery section is basic, prices aren't good, and the floors are surprisingly dirty. Rest of the place is filled with the usual general goods that aren't quite what you want, making you realize you should have gone to the specialty store in the first place. Also expect to take forever getting through the checkout line because if more than one is open it's a Christmas miracle, and the self-checkout machines have a bug now where every item doesn't register as being bagged, meaning it takes around 10 times as long to get through as it should. Meijer is right next door and is cleaner and newer, Kroger is a way better grocery store and their new location kicks this Walmart grocery through a window. Not to mention Walgreens, Rite-Aid, Aldi, and that dollar store all right within a mile, I find it's just worth my time and money to go to someplace else no matter what I'm buying. read more

I get shocked, literally every time I'm in this store. I'm giving 4 stars because I like the store, but holy hell, can a girl buy some milk and eggs without the fear of getting zapped opening up the cooler door? I wear long sleeve shirts in this place just so I can get a buffer before I grab onto the cart or touch any metal. I asked the cashier about it and she says she gets shocked all the time and others complain about it too. Walmart give your folks each a box of dryer sheets and rub every inch of metal in your store. I have shopped here for years and usually spend hundreds of dollars every week here. Now I have a problem and customer service can't even give me the time of day. I will not support this store anymore and will happily spend my money across the street at Meijer. They have an extremely better produce section anyway. Booo! Nothing ever gets restocked & the express line is So Slow! Express, my butt!! I really wish they would pay more attention to inventory. The last time I went to buy eggs the only cage free they had left in stock expired 5 days ago. Also, seems like they NEVER have enough registers open. Thank God Marysville has a Kroger and a Meijer because I won't be going back to Walmart! I got off of a 24 hour shift this morning, and instead of going home to see my 2 month old daughter right away, I decided to stop by Walmart to buy a $300 craft machine as a surprise for my boyfriend. I check online and the website said Walmart had it in stock. I get there, the shelf is empty. Check online again, still says in stock. I ask an associate for help, she told me she would be right back and left me standing there for 20 minutes. I found another associate who scanned the barcode, website said they had 3 in stock. She then leaves to go check the back, returns only to say she doesn't know where they would be...!?! I'm there to purchase a $300 product.. you think maybe she could find someone who knows where it would be? So I ask, she leaves toward the back again.. I am a loyal Walmart customer, but this Walmart is the pitts! The shelves are never re-stocked. I have no problem getting my products at any other Walmart except Marysville Walmart. This means management just won't hire enough employees to keep shelves stocked. The pharmacy is terrible. Don't try to get a script if you don't have all day to wait for it. Finally, this store has an incessant beeping noise that is loud and can be heard throughout the store. I pointed it out at the desk once and they told me it was from a security light system. Why the hell does it have to blare and why is the the ONLY Walmart I have ever heard it in? I honestly can't wait for the Meijers to open so I don't have to shop in a store where the management obviously doesn't care about their customers! read more

This So called Super WalMart is going down hill. Since its been open they have hired the worst employees i think I've seen at any WalMart location. They stopped carrying allot of meats and cheeses from the deli. The cashiers are always new and usually nice but the second time you see them they are rude. Ive worked register before. I understand what they go through but its just like the youth of today have no real idea what work is. And they are rude to customers in return. I called one night and it took them almost 20 Min's to answer the phone. When they finally answered the gentleman i asked to price-check something for me told me he was about to go on brake and that i should call back. WHAT!!!??? I finally talked to a manager and he was more rude than i imagined. If this store doesn't do a 180 i am sure it will be ran out of town hopefully by a Giant Eagle or a Meijers.
