I took two HP 65 empty printer cartridges to the Walmart located in Maryville to purchase new ones…read more I selected a two pack 65 ONN XL cartridge pack and showed my empty cartridges to the clerk working in the Electronics Department to ask him if they will work in my HP printer. He looked at the empty cartridges and told me the pack I selected will work. I purchased the 65 ONN cartridges and inserted them in my printer when I got home. An error message came on my printer letting me know that the cartridges are not compatible with my printer even though my printer is one of the models that the cartridges are designed for. I took the cartridges back to the Walmart where I purchased them and the Customer Service Department was closed. A young woman was there and I explained what happened with my cartridges that I purchased and she told me that it's against Walmarts policy to refund money for opened ink cartridges. I asked her to get the manager and he came to talk with me after a 10 minute wait. The managers name is Jonah and he brought two other females and a young man with him. I told Jonah how I brought the empty cartridges with me to see if the cartridges I selected would work with my printer and the staff person acknowledged that they would. Jonah explained how unfortunately it's against Walmarts policy to accept opened ink cartridges and he's sorry that the employee told me that the cartridges would work but there is nothing he could do. After spending another 5 to 7 minutes explaining how it is unacceptable for me to eat the cost of the cartridges when I was told it would work Jonah would not change his position. Jonah asked me what I did with the empty cartridges. I thought he was going to reconsider and refund my money but he explained how he would use this situation for training purposes so this would not happen again. I didn't appreciate hearing how my situation will be used as a training prop for further encounters with customers. One of the females told me I could call the Walmart Customer Service number and maybe they could help me. I also purchased the HP 65 cartridges and Jonah told me they " will not " work if the previous cartridges did work. I thought that was inappropriate to say because I knew the HP cartridges would work. I left the store and called the Walmart Customer Service number I was provided. The customer service representative told me that the manager CAN make an exception because the employee told me the ONN cartridge would work. I went back in the store to speak with Jonah again and he was accompanied by his entourage. I told him that I spoke with customer service and they informed me that he could make an exception. He had a blank look on his face and he told me that he could but he wasn't going to make an exception. I asked him why and he just said he wasn't going to. His response made me angry because he blatantly lied and could have made an easy decision to refund my money based on the circumstances

Big airy entrance, lots of windows in front. Lots of room inside, and while everything is set up, they clearly have plenty of room to put in more displays later. Furniture is the first thing you see, and I bypassed it, since I've found it to be generally overpriced. I wandered the rest of the aisles. Big Lots has turned into a pretty standard discount store. Seems like when Odd Lots first started, they had lots of weird, leftover stuff, and you never knew what you would find. Now, they have a pretty predictable variety, with the occasional oddball item thrown in. Prices are higher, too. Still at or below average, but you have to watch. Don't assume you're getting a great deal. Worth coming to before you go anywhere else, to check prices and snag some deals. I got some socks, some candy, etc. And something oddball: dried mulberries. Limited selection of clothes, huge selection of candy and other dry goods. Some cold stuff like milk and lunchmeat, so you could come in for a quick resupply. Toys, tools, household goods, holiday stuff, etc. Service was great, as you might expect on the first day. I lucked into the soft open; I asked if they had opened recently, and they said "yeah, three or four hours ago." Grand opening is August 31, so they might have specials then. Clean, big, bright, with relatively good deals, convenient- I'll be back, a lot, I'm sure.

Maybe it's super useful for farmers. I've been to several, and always been disappointed. If I'm working on a house or car project and can't find what I need, sometimes people direct me to TSC. And they never have what I need. This time I went looking for salt for the driveway, and they were out (just like everyone else.) They did point me toward a couple of options, and I have to say the service is always good. My issue, I guess, is with what they carry. It's a very limited selection, almost always more expensive than what you can get practically next door (in this case at Lowe's, or a bit further afield at Home Depot and Walmart.) They don't have the useful bits you would think they do for hardcore projects. Every time I get their ad I get excited, then look at the prices and am disappointed.

Aldi, a bit more upscale than most, provides groceries. Marshall's and Home Goods have clothes and, well, home goods. There's a PetSmart, cellular store, nail place, etc. Wild Ginger looks to be opening soon, with Asian fusion. There's a Chase Bank that just opened. For food: Wendy's, Tim Horton's, Beer Barrel, and Bibibop round out your options. Fast or good, take your pick. Grab a bite, shop, and fill up (if you're a Costco member.) And be on your way. Watch out for the roundabouts. Another plus: this led them to finally put a stoplight in at Cosgray. This is handy for me on the way to work, and is right on 161 for anyone going to Plain City or the bustling metropolis of Kileville.

I bought mushrooms, cottage cheese, coffee, granola, green beans and on and on. When I got to the till I was asked if I found everything and I said no, couldn't find scallops.
