I work a short distance away from this location. And I have been in several Walmarts. For the most part Walmart locations are cookie cutter. So people have to consider a couple other factors in their reviews. What I consider is friendly employees and cleanliness of the location. With that said. I will say I was happy with the friendliness and cleanliness of this location. The parking lot was void of all carts. So that's a good thing too. this walmart is terrible. the parking lot is very bumpy and has a ton of potholes. when i got out of my car, the smell of weed and fentanyl amplified from when i was in my car, it smelled like polluted farts, its like i could feel the air giving me stage 4 cancer. there are tweakers outside and inside that are staring you down. they have mice in the bread. on my way out, a tweaker got angered by my lucious lumps and started running at me with a knife, AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank cardi b that i got to my car in time and didn't have to take out my glock-ity glock, instead i ran him over, 3 times if you're curious, and he was flattened like a piece of gum on your shoe, he looked like a bloodied version of flat stanley. do not go here, you WILL die. read more

Been to quite a few Walmarts and they're always understaffed and busy. Especially pick-up, so, I understand mistakes happen and when they do. Walmart (almost) always tries their best to help and make up for it. During my last pick-up one of the substitutions was just wrong (entirely different kind of product than I ordered). I called the pick-up area and told them what happened. Since the order had gone through they were unable to add anything new or different to my order. However, I talked to Saith and she went out of her way to help me any way. Got me the right sub and didn't make me have to go into the store or anything extra. Walmart Medina STAY AWAY FROM THEIR GARAGE My tire alarm came on in my 2010 Buick on Monday July 26th 2021. So stopped at a gas station to put air in the front drivers side tire, I did not have an air gage so I over filled it 40lbs. I went to Wal-Mart in Medina where I bought the tires and had them rotate the tire they do it for free if you buy the tires from them. I did some shopping, paid for my goods and went in the back to get my car. I was happy it was done already. Got in the car checked the air pressure on the tires and to my surprise the front drives side tire still had 40lbs of pressure. They didn't do anything to my car. I went in side and asked them what was going on and the lady who was ring people said oh it just takes a little while to reset. 3 days later still hasn't reset. What a joke I will never do business there again. Check those oil changes / tire rotations. read more

This Walmart is pretty good compared to some that I've been in. I typically use the self checkout, which saves me time. I don't usually grocery shop here, but I might start because it is only 12 minutes away from home. The concerns I have are that they don't carry Goya products, which we consume regularly. They also don't carry the low-sodium Great Value potato and tortilla chips. They have most of the other items that I've grown accustomed to at my previous Walmarts, however. The store is clean and I haven't noticed merchandise laying in the aisles, which is a plus, and probably a fire hazard. Interestingly, there are two electric car chargers in the parking lot. Granted, I haven't seen anyone using them, but it's a cool feature. I've tried to use the auto center, but that place is jam packed, even at 8 AM on Weekends. I'm trying to decide if this or the Wadsworth location will be my go-to Walmart. I've been grocery shopping at the Wadsworth location, which also doesn't carry Goya and low-sodium Great Value stuff. Because this location is slightly closer to home, I may go here for groceries. Decisions, decisions. read more

Stay away from their Automotive Department. I had 4 tires replaced on my 2010 Nissan Maxima and one of the tires was flat 12 hrs later (a second tire was going flat). I accepted their apology for the tire being flat but 2 days later when the replace tire arrived, Walmart tried to charge me for the tire. So decided to shop Walmart again, on the chance that things they said yesterday were out of stock were actually in stock. My goodness, every single item, grocery and OTC, were mysteriously FULLY stocked. Got the things I wanted and decided to stop at the deli. Waited, and waited and waited some more. You could hear deli employees but not one was out front. Five minutes into waiting, and being the only person at the counter, a fresh food employee hollered at them that they had a customer, as I was walking away. I gave my response: And you just lost that customer. Now I know it's nothing to them but it was something to me. They need to train those deli people to be more customer aware. I mainly go at night when it's less crowded but there's some issues because some days things aren't stocked at all like in the freezer section, or the bread aisle. Also, normally I would use the self checkouts but because there's been so many people around here ruining it for everyone else, they close down the self checkouts making everyone go to one open register, and that's especially stupid on a Friday and Saturday night when most people are up late regardless. They should hire more people for 3rd shift and reopen some self checkouts, at least 2 or 3 of them. read more

Spent 3 hours in the auto care center for a simple headlight/bulb change. Asked why it was taking so long and said they prioritize the oil changes over other task. We ordered a trampoline for our daughters ninth birthday and it took 2 weeks to get here. It was supposed to be here in a week. Then when we received it it obviously had been resold to us. All kinds of pieces were missing and the box was all taped up. So her present wasn't there for her birthday... great! So needless to say we are still waiting to be refunded. For nearly 15 years, former active duty Marine John Harkness said he's been allowed by the Medina Walmart to stand inside and collect toys and money for Toys for Tots, but this week there was a change. "They made us stay outside," said Harkness. "We're there to collect toys for children that need a Christmas." Naturally when shopper Mary Murdock saw him standing in the cold while she was shopping, she was outraged. "I just said, why can't they put you inside? This is crap," said Murdock. Walmart told us "it's policy." Of course, it's their right to have such policies. A spokesperson issued this statement: "Walmart's corporate policy across our more than 4500 stores does not allow this type of solicitation inside our stores and we apologize for any confusion about this policy." The spokesperson said the current store manager is new this year and that if the Marines were allowed inside in years past, that actually broke the rules. But it doesn't make Harkness or the many viewers any more satisfied. "It takes two seconds to do the right thing when it's cold and rainy and holiday season. You can put them in there," said Murdock. Walmart furthered the statement with this: "If a Marine or anyone was treated with disrespect, that is unacceptable and we are looking into this matter further to get the facts." From damage items to not so great store not one employee smiled or enjoyed there job. The staff was demoing carrots and hidden valley ranch to much ranch for only two carrots. Oh the lot attendants especially the one that wears the hat that has facial hair well he needs to change out his safety vest. Your Walmart greeter just stood there at the door never smiled welcoming people to Walmart his opening could of been Jeff Dunham favorite line " welcome to Walmart get your shit and get out." The question remains is the customers running the store or is the employees or management running the customers. I also later learn that most employees when you ask for help from the door greeters they wont do anything. read more

I'm well aware of the fact that stores are being forced to close at 11, which I think is absolute crap. Never had a worse experience...so far. I'm well aware of the time from the time I get to store and after each item I grab on the shelf. The announcements are fine, but I think the person in front of the door asking if I "only need to grab a few things" is a bit much, and if that didn't do, after having already grabbed a few things, another employee had to have given me a pretty dirty look and have to yet again remind me if that they are closing soon and asked if I only had a few things to grab and asked if I needed help, but not in a very polite way. I get asked for help frequently and am appreciative of it, this just set me off though! Mind you, I had 14 minutes before they closed, with just a few items to grab all in grocery, I had more than enough time to get what I needed without getting interrupted. Maybe if everything wasn't moved around I'd be able to find things a lot better, but I can't adjust to where anything is placed because ALL of the signs are still wrong AND all of the shelves are constantly empty (which I understand is not the fault of the store right now), but having to hurry up is one thing without feeling like I'm being treated like a criminal to get out. I'm a very regular customer! I visit usually every week, as many times as 3 times a week, for the past 2 years, on top of going irregularly for the past 18 since I was a kid. Most of the staff I find to be very friendly and helpful. This time not so pleased. Now I see why some people should NOT work in customer service. read more

Honestly it's improved over the years, the store itself is good. Clean and stocked shelves most of the time. And kinda clean store. However do not and I mean DO NOT go to the auto shop department to get your car worked on. They don't know what they're doing and if they do they do it super sloppy and half ass. Don't ask me how I know this. Surprised these dudes are certified. Get your car worked on somewhere else. They don't care about anyone else's cars. They got rid of greeters and put associates at the exits to check your receipts, which is a pain in the but. They also got rid of a lot of the their checkout lines and installed self checkouts. The Auto center is a joke, took over 3 hours to put new rims on my truck. When I walked up to my truck there was a pool of brake fluid on the ground. Abs and brake light was lite up on dash.. they wouldn't do anything about it because they don't do that type of service. Could of at least gave me a tow to the closest repair shop but no. They broke the line lifting the truck. What a absolute mess! So I had to drive my truck with almost no breaks to the closest shop to be fixed thanks for wasting my day and costing me money! read more

Terrible customer service. Purchased two headlamps for my car that were the wrong size. Went to exchange them and was told there particular store only had a policy set forth by the manager that car headlights/bulbs could not be returned. This policy was not posted anywhere in the store nor was it on the receipt. I was told there was nothing they could do perhaps I could sell them on eBay or online. Then the cashier a customer service told me I could take them to another Walmart that this policy was only one their manager at this particular store put in place. Went to the Medina walmart with my friend. Had the best time ever. Worker named Denny was extremely helpful and one of the most outgoing, nicest guys we've ever met. Helped me find my stuff and even showed me where the checkout and bathrooms were. After I got directed to the checkout, the lady there was extremely friendly and was happy to hear that I had a very successful trip to their Medina walmart. She was smiling a lot at me and able to carry on a conversation, she also helped show me where to put my money into the machine. Everyone who worked there was so outgoing and nice, even the people I didn't talk to, they walked around happily and seemed like people-people. The whole store was neat, clean and very organized. Everything was so easy to find and they had a lot of the products I needed in stock while other locations ran out! Nothing but satisfaction from this walmart. I started by looking at the Walmart website to find some new exercise equipment. I found what I wanted online and decided to call and see if it was in stock. After about 5 minutes on hold while being transferred to the sporting goods department, I was redirected back to the person who does the call transfers. She transferred me back to sporting goods and after another 5 minute wait, the lady in sporting goods had no idea what I wanted. She went to go look and said that they didn't have it and hung up on me. I decided to go up to the store myself, and within a couple minutes, I found exactly what I had seen online. My family is very busy . So around 1:00am after my daughter gets off work we arrive at the Walmart around 2:30am we were ready to check out after grocery shopping., checking out the clearances, Which lately Its not much of a clearance,and looking at other things I needed. Not a single lane was open. Apparently all lanes close at 10 pm , so you have to use the self check out, and if you have wic you Will need assistance this seems to be a chore for them to do "sorry but this is the time when I can shop and I don't have to worry about Going round and round and round to find a parking spot. Nor do I have three little kids with me." I looked around and seeing a bunch of people stocking, then heard one of the employees on their walkie-talkie say we have another check out somebody needs to come up here I'm sorry you must do your job. If Walmart didn't want to be 24 Hour store they shouldn't be open. Other than that I made a purchase through Walmart.com. I purchased a Red 6 V battery charger and needed a Black 6 V battery charger. I tried to return the day after I received it at the Walmart store. I found out that the item had been purchased from a third party and therefore could not be returned to Walmart which was not responsible for anything. Contact the sellers and they accept the return but I have to pay the shipping and a 15% restocking fee I only paid $21.99 for it so now I'm thinking maybe I should just try to sell it on the online garage sale sites Instead of going through the hassle of returning it. read more

I travel a lot, and have been to way too many Walmarts just for little things like sunscreen or cereal. Walmart is always there. Anyway, this is by far the nicest one I've been to. I've been here two or three times, and two of those times I also went to the pharmacy. I've always gotten good service. Store is above average cleanliness. Prices are good obviously. Even parking isn't bad compared to many Walmart stores I've been to. I wish all Walmart stores were this way, then the place wouldn't have such a bad rap. read more

I frequent this location on and off every week travel from Brunswick into Medina and back again. It is generally an ok place to shop however I have had few experiences in recent times. Just this past week my wife needed a clothing item so we were going through the womens clothing department which was a disaster as usual. My daughter happened to be resting her elbow on a shelf. A female worker came up straightening the already extremely messy shelf of shirts giving my daughter a rude stair at the same time acting as though she was to blame. In addition when u shop after roughly 9pm expect to run into jack carts that are operated by crazy drivers. I can deal with moving out of the way on occasion as it comes with the territory but when Im there spending my hard earned money I don't appreciate having one of these individuals in a rush riding up my back side as I push my cart filled with said products to purchase. read more

Always seems weird to give Walmart more than 2 stars on anything because, well, they usually suck...BUT..for all the sucky Walmart stores out there, there has to be a few good ones. This one just happens to be a pretty good one, with a fairly easy way to enter and exit the parking lot and an abundance of workers to assist in and outside of their designated departments; this place actually makes shopping pretty simple. I always enter through the garden center as it opens into the cosmetics and personal items section, to my surprise there is always a cashier in the garden section so that you can check out at the back of the store. Most departments are pretty well organized, with the occasional cluster of mess here or there. The grocery section is laid out pretty nice and in correct fashion for food shopping, hot food right by the door to lure you in with smells and warmth especially now since it is cold. An additional section of pastries and baked goods mixed in with produce from there and then down the line of dried goods, canned goods, drinks, frozen food and refrigerated items. I always go to scope out the collectible cards and figures since that area usually has closed registers and is somewhat abandoned no matter the hour. I have yet to buy a double blind box or collector card box so that is a bit of a testament in some way. BIGGEST TIP: Forget the lines no matter how many items you have and coupons? Don't worry! Just use the self check out area, there is always an attendant to be flagged down and coupons scan with no issue. Even those BUY 2 GET ONE FREE coupons, just scan it at the end and BOOM instant savings removed based on the cost of your highest item (up to listed price on coupons). So, overall not a terrible Walmart location to shop. Good layout, acceptable collectibles selection and self check outs that make life a breeze. read more

One experience, about 4-5 years ago, will never be forgotten from my memory until I leave this place we call Earth. On this particular visit, I simply went in to purchase a pair of cheap tennis rackets. After checking out, for some reason, I decided to glance at my receipt. For two IDENTICAL tennis rackets I was charged $12 and some change and the other was roughly $2 cheaper. Usually I let things like this go, but I was determined to get my 2 hard-earned dollars back. So I walk to the returns desk and explain the situation to the returns associate which responded with an open mouth and deer-in-headlights stare. After establishing some form of primitive communication with this poor lost soul, she paged a manager which covered the sporting merchandise. After waiting 5 minutes for this manager I grew very impatient, and began regretting my decision to get charged the correct amount. The manager finally arrived and I explained the situation. Instead of just doing the right thing and selling me the $12 racket for the cheaper one's price, I waited an additional 5 minutes for her to go to sporting goods to play detective and walk all the way back to returns. She finally arrived back and dropped the hardest retail bombshell on me. She tells the returns girl,"The one racket was priced incorrectly, they are BOTH $12 and charge him $2 more for the cheaper mis-tagged racket". After waiting 10+ minutes to get a measly $2 back I'm being told to return what I purchased and be re-rung to pay $2 more for what they priced incorrectly!! I flipped out and explained what complete b.s. this was. All the while the customers behind me were routing me on. After all of that time wasted, I was told that I could keep the rackets for the prices I originally bought them. Instead of taking the ordeal any further, I took the high road and left Walmart the second time the same way as I left it the first...$2 poorer. read more
