Things are priced but not correct so when you go up to pay watch the price on each item the will over charge you every time.

Most everyone at this location is super helpful and very friendly but it just takes one to ruin your whole experience

I think it's VERY UNPROFESSIONAL for a "MANAGER" if that's what you call yourself to call my mother a b*tch today during her visit to the store because she didn't understand why you were asking her what her gift card was for. News flash it's none of your business BLAKE from store #2771. You should be fired immediately. As the only store in the area with the variety of products, Walmart Monticello is the place to go. Unfortunately, if shopping for specific items usually stocked in other Walmart stores, the Monticello shelves are not always kept stocked. Compared to other Walmarts, Monticello's is not op to par. read more

This is a spin-off review- I was camping this past weekend-haven't done that since I was 16, so apparently had forgotten how much fun sleeping on rocks (and your tent mate's flip flip with gaudy rhinestones) really could be. So The next morning I figured a trip to Wal-mart for some type of sleeping pad was in order. I had to search for an associate to help. The kid huffed and puffed about having to show me where they where then after showing me where the $30 1.5 in thick pads were seemed annoyed that I wanted the $10 2 in thick ones on the top shelf and me being 5'2" he had to retrieve them. For a town that is so strongly based upon tourism and summer townies for revenue, it seems ridiculous that it was this hard to get help in a store. I understand its minimum wage, but until you get a real job this is the one you picked- deal with it or quit! read more

The Walmart in Monticello the service is terrible. They never answer the phone in the service desk even though there are 5 people standing around. Pick up counter for Items ordered never any one there. Photo pick no personality at all mean as can be. Usually the cashier in #10 is the meanest lady possible. God forbit she smiles. Giving this 1star is really stretching it. If there were a Target here and maybe people that actually care about a job Walmart would be ok. But I understand they get what they get. read more

It's Walmart, folks. We all know what that means, but with that said, it's also the most all-inclusive store in town, and without it, you'd have to drive very far away to buy your most basic housewares and bedding. I like shopping online, the free ship-to-site feature and just taking 10 minutes in the store to get what I need. Now, if you try to return that stuff, you can't without a receipt. The staff at Walmart can be super helpful or completely comatose - it's a toss-up on any given day. I, for one, am very grateful there is a Walmart in town for all my miscellaneous, last minute needs. This is a Super Walmart so along with a seasonal nursery, there is also a grocery store along with the norm. I don't think there is an auto department though, but McCord's is across the street for that. read more

Totally disgusted with this store once again... Holiday weekend and had to get groceries late.. I know stores have to stock product but when pallets of product are blocking whole isles it makes for an unpleasant shopping experience... Then when you get to the front line of 20 check out isles and there isn't any of them open so your forced to use the "Self Scan" with a cart full of roughly $200 worth of their merchandise and told by the manager that you'll have to do it at the "Self Scan" which we started and the 1st six items all needed a attendant to fix the "SELF Scan" we left the cart,our stuff we shopped for for over a hour for and the Walmat..... Got everything we needed at KROGER and probably cheaper too..... They also were "stocking" which was MANAGED a lot better since none of their isles were blocked....! Thank You Kroger.. read more

If you think the prices are good, try going to Meijer or Target. It depends on the product, but really, the prices aren't good, they treat employees and customers like dogs and, frankly, with three in town and a Sam's Club, they are a disaster for the economy. Oh, sure, they provide jobs, but few have health care and most workers get minimum wage--you'd be better off on unemployment, at least that way you'd get Christmas off. read more

Over the years Wal-mart has been here I have watched them go from a store that had employess that asked you if you nedded any help to the rude selfish you are just wasting my time people that work there today!! You can always tell a new cashier that hasn't been there that long because their very nice to you. But in around 1 month of being there they are just like everyone else rude etc. This company has low grade products at high prices!! Have you ever seen our produce here? It is horrid rotten fruit & veggies on display and for sale. I really wish the public would have had real say so about them comming to our town. If we did they wouldn't be here. My daughter got a video game for her b-day and opened it and it didn't work. So we took it back and was told that we should know if the game worked when we bought it!? So if your not a physic you better not buy a video game here. Gee I guess I missed the sighn in that departmant! I go to to other local stores as much as possible even if I have to pay more. this place gives our good town a bad name!!!! read more
