Have always had great service here, and in particular with David (usually works the morning shift during the week).

Usually, when I don't know what the house drip coffee tastes like, I'll order an Americano, because they tend to be balanced, no matter which coffee shop I'm visiting. My instincts were right! The Americano at Wanderlust is mighty tasty. If you have time to sit a spell, I suggest ordering your coffee "for here" so you can drink it out of a real cup, like a real boy. There are lots of places to sit and sip your stuff, not just in the immediate area, but there's also a separate room across the way with even more seating. That's also where the restrooms are located. Side note: Even if you don't need to use the restroom, you should visit the restroom. It is a sight to behold. I couldn't leave well enough alone and had to get a pastry to go with my coffee. There was this slab-cream-pie-pastry-looking number calling my name from the case. It was very creamy and flaky and rich, and went well with my coffee. No regerts.

I'm so glad I finally visited the downtown location. The coffee is excellent and the service is…read morefast. There are two rooms. One is where the main counter is and you can sit and chat. The other room is on the other side of the lobby and it's the quiet room. It has a library feel and has both tables and soft seating. A great place to work, study or read. I'll be back!

Their coffee is gross to me, as well as the drink options. Personally, chinese five spice, lemon,…read moreand other weird flavors are not the best for coffee lattes, but to each his own. Somebody obviously likes it. Staff are nice enough, no issues otherwise, just weird coffee flavors. Never had anything else, so the other stuff may be good. Thats why I rated it 3 stars.

After a few hours of working hard in Lafayette to get that bread, I needed to find a place that…read morewould sell me some bread with some stuff in between it. The Eleventh House seemed like the perfect stop for elevenses, because they are a coffee shop that also sells sandwiches (bagel sandwiches). The food menu consists of basically just bagels and bagel sandwiches, but that's fine, because The Eleventh House makes a great bagel sandwich. They also offer random little nibbly things, like hard-boiled eggs with dijon mustard, kimchi, citrus slices and "half of an avocado with a crazy amount of Old Bay," which I'm going to have to try to make at home sometime. Some of their sandwiches have exciting things in them, like pickled daikon, burnt pimento cheese (why does that sound so appealing?) and onion jam. I opted to keep my lunch rooted in the quotidian, so I got a Ranch BLT (bacon, iceberg lettuce, tomato, avocado, ranch seasoning, Kewpie mayonnaise) and the Turkey & Havarti, which is mostly just that. Maybe my choices were a little basic, but sometimes the classics are where it's at. These sandwiches were very tasty! The coffee shop / restaurant feels very open, with natural light coming through a skylight window and plants everywhere. It's a nice place to sit and chill for a while. When you dine in, they give you a number on a tarot card to place at your table. My tarot card was the Three of Wands, which I've learned represents the threshold of adventure, a call to leave your comfort zone to seek enlightenment in the world. (And, perhaps, an invitation to live deliciously?) How appropriate.
