Very rude and made it known she did not want to be bothered with helping a dumb customer who could not figure out the new pin pad. I just had such a horrible experience with NIcole at your New Bern North Carolina store that I am still livid even after driving home. I ordered an item online and got an email saying I could pick it up by 8 PM At about 815 I called twice to two different departments and nobody answered the phone at all. So I drove to the store. Nicole was working in Customer Service. I explained that happened and she said "that's not us" I asked if she could find out what happened to my order and she said "they are probably behind" I asked is she could help me and she said "there is nothing I can do". I asked if I could go back and get the item and have her let me leave the store and she said I would have to cancel it online and buy it again. I said I am not going to wait to get my money back. I asked to talk to the manager and she said she is the manager. I asked to talk to her manager and she would not tell me that person's name. Finally I asked for her name and phone for my complaint to corporate and she just quit talking to me. . As I was leaving another employee who must have heard me asked if I was there to get and name the item, so he knew. He took me to a room where my book case was sitting. Nicole obviously was just making up excuses when she said they were behind. It is unacceptable for someone at "Customer Service" to not have just called the head of the appropriate department to find out about a customer's order. It is unacceptable for "Customer Service " to ever flat tell a customer that they will do nothing . It is unacceptable for "Customer Service " to expect a customer to pay for an item twice and wait for a refund. A manager should be able to help a customer without turning around and refusing to provide the contact information to make a complaint ... be it the next level of management all the way up to corporate. read more

The Morehead City Walmart just lost our business forever. After waiting in line to check out (only one cashier on the front end) and bagging our own groceries, the check reader could not read our check. We were told there was nothing they could do about it. I called my bank (where our account has been for more than 20 years) to make sure nothing was amiss with our account and was reassured that the problem was Walmart, not our check. Nothing was done by Walmart to fix the problem. There is no reason for not having enough cashiers at a store that does the volume of business this one does. There is also no reason for not having equipment that works as it should. That's the end of shopping at Walmart ! read more

I didn't know walmart was in the habit of taking advantage of a disabled adult. I am disabled with heart failure and coronary artery disease. I ordered some items online for pickup at the store. One of the items was not available, the store did not have it in stock and they canceled it. I was charged for it anyway. I called their customer service 3 TIMES! All I wanted was a refund for the item that wasn't there. Instead, the (I'll be nice, God only knows why though) customer service charged me AGAIN for the same items minus the item that wasn't there. This would have been fine IF THEY HAD REFUNDED THE ENTIRE PURCHASE THEN CHARGED ME. But, they didn't not only did they not refund my money, they charged me AGAIN for the same items! I then put in a review of the item, a manager called me, then called me a few hours later and said she couldn't help me because the purchase was not at her store. Why the review was even directed to her, only God knows. As a last attempt to rectify the situation, I took my proof to the store in Morehead, I spoke with the lady in returns, she couldn't understand, I spoke with the assistant manager, she couldn't understand, then I spoke with the COG, or manager and it didn't want to understand and gave me the number of customer service. My next recourse is to find a lawyer that will take this case of taking advantage of a disabled adult! All I wanted was my $29.89 back. This review is directed to the Vision Center. I posted it on 2 other websites. My granddaughters, Aislinn and Celise, from Raleigh came to visit with my husband and me last week. My youngest granddaughter's eyeglasses kept slipping to the end of her nose so we stopped into Wal-Mart's Vision Center. We were instantly approached by Kelly who had the brightest, most genuine smile. She asked us how she could help. We explained that my granddaughter's glasses needed adjustment but they were purchased at BJs in Raleigh, however, she could not wait a week to have them fixed when she went back home. Kelly took them in the back and within minutes, they were fixed. I asked her what the charge was and she looked at my granddaughter and said, "Just one big smile." She got it - from all of us. Thank you, Kelly! You are an asset to the Vision Center! read more

It's Walmart people, but compared to Jacksonville it's heaven. Clean, friendly, NOT full of weirdos. If you live in between Jacksonville and Morehead, and HATE the traffic in J-Ville then head east for better shopping pastures. read more

HUGE Wal-Mart store here! Get all your needs for a vacation at the beach taken care of here, including grocery! My roommate's family and I are a party of 8. So, where do you go to get grocery that'll feed 8 of us for a week? Wal-Mart! And man, we loaded up 3 cartfuls of stuff! I thought it would easily total up to a grand, if not more. Imagine my surprise that it was $400 bucks! I'm generally not a fan of Wal-Mart but it can be a useful place for certain situations! What a money-saver! read more

HUGE Wal-Mart. I walked in and immediately felt overwhelmed. I felt like before when I walked in to a Wal-Mart I can get an idea of where to find what I want... Here, I needed to roam around finding how the store was organized. The shelves were massive. Some items were labelled wrong/ on the wrong shelf, otherwise the place was pretty clean. I went into this Walmart to get my husband some alcohol for when he comes home from his deployment. I walked up to the cashier, who gave me a dirty look, and sat the beer down on the counter. I was at self check out at the New Burn NC Wal-Mart and there was a group of employees standing together chatting , the store was getting ready to close for the night so I assume they were waiting to shut down the rest of the self checkouts, anyway I asked if one of them could step over to my register so I could show explain to them what my intentions were and it would not look like I was stealing a rug, a girl in customer service named Nicole said do we look like a group of animals over here or something. Another female came over and I showed her I scanned my rug and placed it inside my storage tote, while while I was explaining this I could over hear Nicole making jokes to another employee and bashing the customers inside the store saying things like they need to hurry up and get out, and that she was no ones little puppet! I will never go back to this store because of her, and I think walmart of new burn NC needs to replace her with better customer service! read more

If I could give negative stars, I would give these techs in the auto center about a -10! All I wanted was an oil change for my Volvo V70. An hour later, I get a call from Nikki saying the filter would be $27 extra. I said ok given that Volvos use a unique filter. I wait another hour to be told they can't do the oil change because they don't have the appropriate tool to take the filter off! So, I wasted a great afternoon at the beach due to Walmart's inability to change my oil. The final kicker was they weren't in any hurry to get it out of the bay. I finally asked Nikki (who was apologetic), to ask them to speed it up, which they did. I've got to say, this is the worst experience I've had getting an oil change and it could have been mitigated by simply looking up the model first and seeing if there were any oddities that would keep them from servicing it. We have shopped here multiple times and not till after it was too late did we notice food was already expired. An example was when we did our first shopping after we had moved here in March. We bought strawberry jelly in April and I opened it and it had mold all over the top. Here to find out it had expired months ago. The employees are not friendly at all and do nothing but talk about how horrible their jobs are and how little they get paid, also talking to coworkers about parties, etc. You do have the very few that are friendly and polite, but it is a rarity. This store is just not worth going too. Hot and uncomfortable to shop, poor quality food and unpleasant employees. read more

This review is for the tire center. I called and confirmed they had the two tires I needed. Drove to the store was greeted and checked in they showed me the tires and in less than a hour I was out the door. Very clean and professional service and they were $60 Cheever on the same tire than anyone around. read more

One stop shop for all you visitors out there that got your toiletries confiscated at the Los Angeles airport, forgot a travel iron ($20), needed snacks, water and a book to read (5.00). This place is HUGE! it's not just a regular walmart but a SUPER STORE ! which means they have a grocery store inside. Considering the rental car did not sport a gps system this place was a lifesaver! read more

This Walmart at Moorehead NC has the worst customer service I have ever seen in regards to delivering groceries. We had a scheduled delivery between 4 and 5pm. When they never showed up we contacted them. First they stated that they were waiting on their driver and he finally showed up and they had left the store with our order. This was after 5pm. Now its 644pm and my wife called again and spoke with someone who sound like they had been smoking weed for hours. They told us that we would have to pick it up...so obviously our groceries have been sitting there for about half they day and we have no idea if they are even safe for us to eat now.....not impressed....sorriest service I have ever seen. Too bad I can't give a negative star rating. I have to press 1 star just to send this but they don't rate that. I ordered 3 kegs for a reunion three weeks prior to trying to pick them up. When I came in on 8/11 (the day before the reunion) I was told that they never ordered them even though they remember me doing so at there customer service desk. Will not shop here again, do not buy kegs here. read more

I have been trying for 2 days to get a new set of tires before my 14 hour trip to F.L. and the idiots at this Walmart service center won't allow that to happen for me. I called first to make sure they had the tires and they said it was a slow day, If I came now they could get me in next. After waiting for an hour and a half to see my car brought in I inquire. This idiot had lost my ticket and had let 3 other cars ahead of me. He then reassured me that I'm next to get my (oil change). I needed tires not an oil change! I didn't have another hour to wait yesterday so I told him I would bring it back the next day. He tells me they open at 8:00 the next morning. I just took my car back to Walmart for tires this a.m. Got there at 8 sharp. An employee outside says,"uhh we don't open until 9 today". So I've been inconvenienced again by the idiots at Walmart and decided that I don't want these morons working on my car at all. 2 wasted trips, still No tires. read more

Let me just say....I live in Raleigh North Carolina and Morehead City Walmart has got all of the Raleigh/RTP WALMARTS beat with friendliness and kindness! The store was clean but poorly laid out and gigantic. The staff did not know where anything was. I could only find one rain coat and it was quite big and $44. Afterwards I decided to get a buzz cut for $15 at the hair cut place. The service was sub par and they "nicked" me during the haircut. If you get a haircut there, make sure to buy a cheap item at Walmart before getting a hair cut to get a $5 discount. After you get a haircut you get 20% of a purchase at Walmart. read more
