This Walmart sits in Skyline Commons off of Dickerson Pike in Northeast Nashville. Your experience honestly differs based on the time and day you pop in, so consistency here with service, stock and cleanliness is the main issue with this location. I have learned in the past few years that early weekend mornings are always the best here. From number of registers, friendliness of Associates, shelves stocked, better choices of meats, etc...So, you will rarely find me here anytime other than 9a - 10a on a Saturday or Sunday. I will say that outside of that time, this location is absolutely chaotic with unfriendly/unhelpful staff, few registers open which creates massive lines, even at self check, along with a cart riddled parking lot. So, schedule your visits with care. As with many other retail spots, a lot of items have now been placed behind locked doors, requiring assistance to get open. While the cosmetics and electronic departments are usually staffed well for this, if you ever need undies or undershirts in the men's area, good luck. Overall, this Walmart comes in clutch when needed. I have learned how to maneuver this location to ensure a solid experience each time. It is a solid 2.5 stars. read more

Yeah, this place is terrible even for Walmart standards. Outside is pretty and what staff you can find are friendly, it's getting help and customer service that is the worst. I would say understaffed with lack of some departments being functional and able to operate. I forgot my razor and there was a Walmart conveniently located in the area. I used the app to try and find where they have the men's razor blades and they were in the cosmetics section. These were locked and you could not get to them. Standard razor refills and single handles. Nothing special. I waited around for about 7 mins and found an employee and asked for help. They walked away and heard a page. No one ever came and there were now three of us waiting for assistance. I walked up to the front service desk and asked again. The paged again. After another 10 mins I tried calling the store and asked for a manager and to see if we could get help. Nothing and no one came. Well over 35 mins waiting and searching for someone to help to make a purchase. I finally walked out of Walmart ticked at myself for even wasting that much time and drove to target. On Wednesday (11/26/25), went into this location to make a purchase. There was a discrepancy with the price so I sought management to assist. I was met with 4 people, who not only failed to help, but made the situation worse. It was clearly proven that Walmart's policy was overlooked in regards to my situation. Instead of aligning with me (the customer), the Store Manager Carvon, took an aggressive and defensive demeanor and made my child cry. Instead of standing corrected, he saw fit to become loud, volatile, and condescending. All in front of customers. It's okay to admit when one is wrong and clearly, this manager and his crew, aren't open to correction. The reviews on here are true, y'all. I have to tell you... we get our groceries delivered from this location (for a while now) and the service is amazing. Not only do we get what we order, we get GOOD what we order !! They are thoughtful in their substitutions when necessary. The drivers service is amazing. These folks are so kind and polite and my groceries come just as they should!! I'm so impressed !! Order on the website couldn't pick it up so I had it delivered so I thought it said between 5 and 7 pm but at 530 they said it was delayed no time on how long so at 8pm I canceled the order. Then to my surprise I got a message saying I could pick it up so I tried. I checked in and because it started to sprinkle they yelled for me to pull up instead of bringing to my car. Then couldn't find my order and ran back to see what the problem was and another girl started to put stuff into my car and I was trying to tell her that's not mine and she said it's raining so she finally got the message and took it out of my car. Quite possibly the worst Walmart experience I've ever had. The layout was fine, I had an easy time finding the things I needed. But there were only 2 check lanes open and all of the self-checkout lanes were shut off. Lorenzo was the boy working the check lane we were lined up at and ended up having the longest line out of the two. He had headphones in the whole time and did not greet us or any of the customers that had lined up before us. He moved very slowly, almost seemed like he was taking his time. Life Saver! So this place was across the street from our hotel and made it super convenient to pop in and grab some stuff we forgot (ok...I forgot). The nice thing about Walmart is the stores are laid out similar enough (and/or there are only a couple layouts) so it doesn't really matter which location you are at, it has the same look and feel. Was easy to find what we were looking for and we were in and out pretty quick. Kind of surprised at how busy there were at 10:00 at night though .... and the check out lines were really long - self check wasn't open so they really should have had a couple more people checking out customers ... that's really the only reason for a one star deduct. I'd come back to this store again if we are in the area and need stuff that we...(I) forgot. read more

This location has two sets of self checkouts which helps with lines. The store is clean and for the most part well stocked. The Walmart app has a feature where you can search where products are in the store and price check. The staff here is hard to find though and often does not seem happy to be at work or that they want to help. The parking lot can be a bit scary but feels safe. Not the best Walmart or even close but for what it is it serves it purpose. read more

At this wal mart I appeared to experience glass in the parking lot (between where the front doors and parking is) like a whole windshield was broken, a lot of security, police, people sleeping outside, cars going around without their lights on, really trashed parking lot-I think I saw a washer or dryer (did a tornado come through?) if you're a trash digger come check This place out you might find something good. I've been waiting for someone to answer the phone for over an hour. The store itself is usually dirty not stocked properly. The staff acts like they hate working there. This is the absolute worst Walmart I have ever tried to do business with. Pharmacy staff was rude and unwilling to refill my prescription I have been taking for over 15 years. The pharmicst's reason was that I live at the Ky/TN state line and don't normally get refills at this store. I have worked within 5 minutes of this Walmart for almost 18 years. I have shopped for groceries may times. I no longer have health insurance so to keep cost down I use a GoodRX card, just so happens Walmart has the best price this moth. Even though I have used the Walgreens at Dickerson Rd. & Old Hickory Blvd. many times, this pharmafist refused me service. I am on a budget and just wanted to get the best discount available. Went to the tire and lube center to get an oil change. Hands down by far the WORST experience of all time. I went inside and was there for 10 min and not acknowledged. Ghetto store. Everytime I have been in this walmart they have been out of various things that I need. Once it was every bag of frozen broccoli of every kind. Another time there were NO EGGS at all in the store. The produce always looks picked over and crappy too. DON"T EVER GO HERE AFTER DARK! My husband and I went a couple of weeks ago (because I don't go alone after dark) and there was a swarm of police cars at the enterance. As we approach the store a dude comes flying out of the star with police running after him. THe dude jumps in his car and two police guys were trying to pull him out. One Police guy tried to taze him but he must have missed bc the dude got away and flew out of the parking lot 90 to nothing. Architecturally, the Walmart corporation pulled out all the stops at the Dickerson Pike location. When you expect a steel storage-looking building, completely square to be placed on Dickerson Pike, they shock with this multi-surfaced façade with swooping archways and natural elements. While most Walmart Supercenters seem like a wasteland of space, this one is actually pretty easy to navigate inside. Luckily, you don't get all the campy "extra" businesses inside either here. Parking is convenient. The staff is friendly, available and accessible. While I usually make it a policy to stay away from Walmarts, this one is a total exception. Yay for Dickerson Pike landing the best Walmart in middle Tennessee! read more

I like this one! The parking lot is huge, has several options to enter and exit and you aren't in a long line to get out of the parking lot. The people that work here are nice.. I've never run into a rude/unhelpful employees. I get my stuff delivered to this store for pick up. AND... I found a cat water fountain at this store, where the box hadn't been opened and the contents stolen! My cats love their water drinking fountain! And it works! I got a lawn mower here. I get stuff here that I used to get at Target, but the prices are better here. I save about $1 off every thing I purchase here, compared to Target. Why would I go anywhere else? I do not buy groceries here. I buy things like... stock pots, towels, filters, ammunition (when it's in stock) rifles, pellet guns, things like that... I get good prices. And again... the parking lot is a joy to maneuver! I get in and out! And it's right off 65! read more

I waited twice as long for my tire to be replaced as they told me it would be while the employees stood around doing literally nothing. Tire's still just sitting there while the employees are just farting around. Taking out the trash, chilling, chatting with each other. Nobody seems to give a damn that I'm sitting here waiting. My girlfriend and I just moved here, we've been going to this Walmart ever since we moved into our apartment and have spent literally thousands of dollars here at this Walmart particularly. Tonight we went to check out in the 20 items or less lines. The first girl proceeded to tell me she couldn't scan my wine but could scan my other items and that "you'll have to get in the next line over after I'm done with scanning your other items" made zero sense for me to have to use 2 lines so I simply said Oh okay and said I'd rather just use the other line. We move over to the other line and I have my ID out per usual to get scanned. The lady proceeds to say "I need both of your id's" have never had this happen before. Employee was trying to make everything very difficult. If you hate your job that much lady you should quit or you should simply be fired for your customer service. You're a damn Karen. Most of the time it's people approaching me while I'm trying to load groceries into my car. NOT cool. Today however, it was literally while I was in the frozen food aisle.
