I got a water dispenser for Christmas that came with a coupon for a free 5 gallon jug of water. Went to customer service with the coupon they said I needed the receipt so they can return it and ring it up at time of purchase. The coupon nor the sales woman said that while we purchased but we obliged anyway. Went to the car and got the receipt. Now we need the physical box because the camera is going to look like we're stealing. I have a RECEIPT. Item number is the same. What if I threw the box away? Would my receipt not serve as sufficient validity? So I went home grabbed the box and the clerk I was working with walked straight passed me to go to another station to work. I am really not a big fan of Walmart's anyways and for some reason whenever I decide to go to this Walmart it just happens to be the first of the month when all the ghetto assholes get their food stamps renewed. Something I will never understand is why in the hell everyone with food stamps has to run out at the stroke of midnight to get groceries. I understand that you just got money on your EBT card but can't you wait till 8 a.m. to get your damn groceries, are your 35 children starving that bad that its mandatory for you to refill your fridge at midnight, looking like a hot mess in pajamas with no bra? Perhaps you should stop using your food stamp card to buy chips, candy and junk food. Then maybe your money will stretch to the end of the month so I'm not stuck looking at your ghetto ass blowing my hard earned tax dollars on crap and making the checkout lines an hour long wait. Now you might be wondering why this would cause me to give the Walmart a low rating but this happens every month like clockwork and they never have the appropriate amount of staff working. Tonight they only had 2 check out lines open for almost 30 minutes. Then they finally called 2 more people to register. Tonight was particularly unpleasant because I almost got into a fight with 1 of the junk food eating, soda drinking, EBT card having, trash dumps. A new cashier opened a register right next to the one I had been waiting an hour in and I rush my cart over to it and the chick that was 3 people behind me decides to pop off the mouth like she's something special and tells me that she should be able to get in line ahead of me since she SAW the cashier first. I just looked at her like she was insane and told her that it's not about who "saw" the cashier first it's all about who gets there first and I got there before she did. Maybe if she didn't weigh 350 pounds...or have 2 carts full of JUNK FOOD AND VALUE PACK CHICKEN WINGS she might have made it there before me. But the sheer volume of the groceries she had in her carts told me that she's got at least 5 children at home, she looked as though she could've been pregnant again, and she loves sponging off the government and the tax payers and she always will. Anyways after I told her tough shit she started chicken popping her neck at me saying, "who da f*** did I thunk I wuz talkin to?" and other stupid stuff along those lines. Right in front of my 9 year old daughter mind you, and I just calmly looked at her and said, "Do you know who YOU are talking to?!? If it wasn't for me and people like me you wouldn't be filling your cart with hundreds of dollars worth of food to help keep you a "healthy" 350 pounds. So YOU better watch what YOU say and who you say it to because if it wasn't for my tax dollars you and your 8 children would be eating out of a dumpster!!!" And I turned around and the cashier finished ringing up my stuff, I paid her WITH CASH, and left. Shaquana didn't say another damn word the entire time I was standing there. I'm sure that she had plenty to say after I left, but her pathetic ass got owned in a Walmart check out line and everyone knew it. So anyways...ya this Walmart just sucks in general but it's especially bad at the first of the month. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. I have a reminder set up in my cell phone to make sure that I never make the mistake of coming here then, and honestly I wouldn't have even gone there tonight except it's my only time off for the next 5 days and I had to get my daughter a book bag and some last minute school supplies and I won't have time off work before school starts! This Wal-Mart is ghetto--I don't know how else to put it. How about a little story? One time I was in there and I had my daughter with me, who was maybe 2 or 3 at the time. We were in the clothing section and I turned around and she was gone. I had one of those stomach turning parental moments where you're sure you've lost your kid. I started frantically calling for her and found her a few minutes later hiding in one of the clothes racks. She was fine. Then some lady says to me, "Oh, you found her. Good. You gotta watch out...they'll take 'em in here." "They'll take 'em in here." That's what she said. What the f... does that mean? She said it like she knew from experience. On my visit to this store yesterday with my husband I was searching for him and was beyond frustrated not being able to find him. When i found him I asked where he had been and he replied "I was in the office being accused of shoplifting. He is 76 years old and a vet and has never committed a crime in his 76 years. He said that he had been out in front of the store smoking a cigarette and there was another person next to him and when he came back into the store the person that had been outside with him annouced to him that the store had him on video stealing catfood and Beer. He was stunned by the news, we do have a cat but he does not drink beer. He was escorted to the security room and asked to see the evidence of him stealing the merchandise. Now my husband is clean shavened but the man in the video had a beard. The store employee remarked that he could have shaved. Needless to say i do not recommend this store. read more

I'd give this place a thumbs down, no star review if I could. I was warned this Walmart was reject of Norfolk, and now I understand why. I called to ask in advance if the store had tires in the bike section. After being on hold for thirty minutes and constantly replaced back to the customer phone center, someone picked up and told me they would call someone who cared. I asked for the Store Manager and was informed he was not there and then hung up on. I proceeded to go into the store the next day, pick out the items I was calling about and went to the Customer Service to address my feelings towards such manners. The women vehemently claimed they were the only ones answering the phone during the hour I called and it was neither of them. They demanded to know if I was the customer calling about a specific bike or if I was the customer who called about another item. I told them regardless of WHO I spoke to, I'd like to speak to a Store Manager at 4 in the afternoon. I was told he JUST walked out the door. I decided to just let it go. Several days later, while looking for one of those cake pop machines, I decided to call as I was driving to the store to ask if they had the product, otherwise we could bypass Walmart and go straight to Target. I was put on hold from the time we passed Ollie's on VA Beach Road until I entered the front door of the store. I hung up and walked straight to the clothing fitting rooms, where I found the woman who answers the phones and got her name, Mary Mitchell, and thanked her for her patience and that my rude voice had not been intended for her, but for those who are getting paid for not working. I then ask why no one is answering their department phones, and she explains they are either going home or on lunch. I thank her and immediately walk to the housewares section intent on finding the item myself. Who should I run into, other than the department person herself. I ask if she has been in her department for the past 20 minutes and she slowly says yes. Mind you, her eyes are glazed over and red as a the Target logo. Stoned. At this point, I walked out. Finally, I went the other day to grab a simple paper towel set and toilet paper pack. Everything was labelled wrong. No one in customer service cared. I asked for someone above the store director, as I have called each time I mentioned there was a problem and the number goes to the Walmart Customer Service and I always leave a messege where no one is calling back. I called Coorperate (1800WALMART) and was on hold for 25 minutes before I gave up. read more

One of the worst Walmarts I have ever been too. I am from the sticks and Walmarts are key in BFE. When I moved to Norfolk I needed a few things so I decided to head out to Walmart with my mom to get some essentials. Big mistake...big...huge. This was not the Walmart I knew and loved. I was almost killed in the parking lot a few times. When I went in the Walmart, it was dirty, crowded, and all I could think of was how fast I wanted to get out of there. Do not go to this Walmart if you have any choice. There are a few others in the area you can drive to or if necessary go to the Target across the street. This Walmart is horrible! The manager Dionne claims he's all for customer service but shows the least bit. His employees is a replica of his demeanor towards customers. Rude, Snotty, Disrespectful, and Unwilling to show customer satisfactory in any kind of way. I was denied use of my coupons not because it stated in the store policy but because Dionne the store manger denied because he saw fit. And when ask if he can provide me the store policy to support his reasoning he denied repeatedly he wasn't going to provide. I asked for the corporate number and his name he argued with me to write it down because he felt it was easy for me to remember. I then ask because he had only 3 lanes open and they cancel my trans action to ring up other customers while I waited for him to arrive in the front the store If he could ring me up at the customer service desk to get my other items he told me to wait like everyone else. When I orgially waited 20 mins just to be denied use of coupons with out providing support. This has been the worst experience I have had I do not recommend anyone to go to this Walmart. Location Location Location! The traffic flow here is crazy. It's always a mass exodus of people coming in and out of this store. Driving in front of it is always impossible. Where are all these people coming from? The people who work here are less than thrilled to be there, if you can find one. Why do you have 25 registers and only 4 open? The store always looks a mess. Do you know how to put away your reshop? Why am I finding chicken on the shelf in the shampoo aisle? What is dog food doing in the dressing room? Why doesn't anyone take pride in their job anymore? Why does all the produce looks 2 days older than its shelf life? So disappointing. I will drive an extra few miles to another Wal-Mart to avoid going here. read more

I would have to say that this is a sad excuse for a Super Walmart. The shelves had so many empty bins. I couldn't find the headache medication because they were out as they were with many others. People were 10 deep in the checkout lines and a manager began announcing the self checkout lines were closing. This caused scores of people to move to the regular lines and made the situation much worse. All of this happened at 8:30 on a Saturday night! Avoid this Walmart like the plague!!! read more

This store is literally five minutes away from my house and it is going to be boycotted. I wouldn't even give this one star. First off, the parking lot is always a mess and you will be approached by beggars 9/10 times with the same story. Secondly, the stockers are rowdy and make you feel threatened with their nonsense and carrying on. Thirdly, the lines at any given time are always packed with only like three open. The cashiers do not have any regard for costumer service or presentation and they make it known you are not welcome. The management is just as bad. New management needs to come in and start over. NO STARS!!!!! This review is for the oil/tire department. I walked in about 130. I asked if I needed to wait inside or out with my car. The lady replied inside. Ok. I waited 15 minutes in line. I then watched the same woman walk inside with a man, check his car in via their scanner, give him a pick up time and continue to help another customer. I again asked if this was a first come first serve because I arrived before him and you just checked his car before mine... "I didn't know" VERY RUDELY. And turned her back on me. So I walked out. I went outside and found the manager in the bay "Fred" & told him exactly what happened. He said he would talk to her. By the time I got home I called the store to speak with the store manager Justine but was told by the phone attendant who would not give me her name that she's busy because they're short handed and I'll just be placed on hold for a long period of time and I'll be more upset. This is the worst customer service I have ever received in my life! I'll never shop here again and never recommend this store to ANYONE! read more

So I chose to do the Wal-Mart Grocery pickup, since I hurt my foot and couldn't walk. I ordered last night online and scheduled to pick up this morning. I leave to get there and try calling several times to let them know if be there in about 15-20 min so they'd have my things ready. Finally. Someone answers and snaps at me to hold. Ok...i park on the pick up area and wait a couple min. The guy comes up and takes my name and gets my groceries. He comes to my window and says there are 7 or 8 items that are out of stock. I ask him if they can replace them with a different brand since the policy is to give you something else in place of that item of equal or greater value if they don't have that exact one. He says they don't do that...yea you do...it says so on the grocery order site. I didnt get replacements. He loaded up my groceries, which I was thankful for. Then, after he was done I told him thanks and he went to talk to the next pickup customer. He left the metal trolley behind my car and it's shorter than my car so it wasn't visible. I'm glad I backed up slow because I hit it...he pulled it aside and told me to back up and I left. Needless to say, i had to go to another store with a hurt foot I can't walk on to get the items that were missing...luckily there was no damage to my car. Not happy. read more

Good ole Wally World, what to say...well it's a Walmart first off. The location is alright but we only come here when we can't find some thing at the one closer. Though this store is(as most walmart are) better in the AM and late late PM. Really and truly I avoid all Walmarts when I can but sometimes they just truely have the better deal and if not they give you the difference(check out the new app). Store is cleaner in the morning lol folks haven't had the chance to destroy it. Though not many cashiers to be found... I come here to buy groceries, and I don't like their prices. They say Extra Low Prices. Is $4 to $6 for a bag of apples or oranges a low price?? Man... went in there for a simple for sale sign. I was running around lost even though I asked not one, but 4 associates total where it was. The first lady directed me in the general direction fine. I get there, walk some aisles and ran into an associate in the department. I asked her where they would be, her reply was "I don't know, I don't work in this department". Yea, thanks for nothing. I walk down to stationary but before I get there, I run into yet another person who worked there. I first asked if he knew where things were located since he didn't have the usual blue shirt and khakis. He says yes then says it can be in either of two places: stationary or diy. At this point I'm tired of asking associates for a specific item and being directed in general areas. If employees were knowledgeable about where things were, it'd help a lot. I guess what blows my mind is that I could've saved 10 minutes of walking back and forth if an associate took the minute of time to either help me find it or lead me to it. Surprisingly, the one associate that actually lead me to the signs worked in the tire and lube center. That's what that one star was for since he really helped me out. This is by far the worst Walmart I have ever shopped at in my entire life, in every state I've been too. No matter the time of day, there are 3 to 4 out of 28 or so checkout lanes open with lines longer than Disney World and the Great Wall of china combined. I will add that as I shop, (mentally/physically preparing myself and last will and testament for old age by the time I get through checkout) there are a plethora of employees meandering about, and gossiping in departments. As I sit here in the checkout, posting this review, I vow that I will never shop in this location again, and with your questionable news worthy business practices and horrible employer and management I will consider never shopping at any Walmart location. I haven't been in this store in years because it's always crowded but this is the closest to my job. I went during lunch (about 1 pm) and had a great experience. I was greeted multiple times and received directed to wjar I was looking for. They had what I needed, the lines were short and the cashier was friendly. I can't really say much more than that. This is the worst Walmart I've ever visited. I asked the customer service manager (House wares/lamps) about an attachment for a lamp and his response was,"what do you want me to do, make one". This guy was a mgr for his section and was ignorant about all products in the section. After looking in another section I found a similar item but was not what I was shopping for. Can you believe Walmart sells lamps and lamp shades but never have the shade attachment in stock. One person suggested I sit the shade on top of the bulb, totally ridiculous. Visited here on April 6th at 9:30 at nite to buy a tv...while my husband was talking to the rep. I went over to buy my granddaughter some baby stuff.while over there 3 employees were stocking the floor.there was a pallet in the middle of the floor.at the end of the isle.I went to pass them and one of the employees backed up with the cart not realizing I was there so I stepped up on the side of the pallet to get around her.and the employee starts fussing at me like you wouldn't believe.so I went down the next isle.and she makes the remark WHITE PEOPLE!!!!! I look at her and ask what did you just say and she repeated it.well I was mad went and got my husband.told the employee that was helping him were white people guess we don't belong here.because his employee just told me that.So I end up telling a manager at the front of the store.I hope she really got in to trouble for making this a raciest thing and representing her store like this.Oh don't worry ..I've been on the phone all weekend with Walmart 1-800 numbers.And each time I get put up to higher command.They said they don't tolerate this kind of behavior.Told them they need to just go to this store period.and check out there employees.We ended up going to best buy to buy our tv.And never again will I ever enter this Walmart again.Cant believe an employee would turn this into a raciest thing.she doesn't belong in the public eye of an establishment if shes this raciest.... read more

I moved here from Georgia as well. This Walmart is by far one of the worse I have been to. The shelves have never stayed stocked in the last year that I have been living in Virginia. Their baby section never has a lot of products such as clothing, swings, strollers, or anything else for that matter to chose from. If I'm not getting a few groceries, I drive out my way to go to a different Walmart when this one is ten minutes from me!!! They never have anythinggggg!!!! They also need to widen up the aisles. People are coming and going in every direction, and there is hardly no space to move your cart like you need too. Not everyone has manners, I'm pregnant and they almost ran me over a few times, smh. I hope it gets better because I hate driving out my way!!!! Get more products, Stock them, Widen your aisles, Speed up your cashiers!!! read more
