My wife has been using the curbside feature where you go online and pick out your groceries and they tell you when to pick them up. 90% of the time we do not get what we order! Today, she call me and tell me they are out of stock on our toilet paper we like and she cannot order it because it says it is out of stock and would I go up ther and verify it really is out of stock as this has happened where they say it is out of stock and it isnt. Well, I was going up there for something else anyway but it wasnt groceries, so I said I would check. They had 2 full cases of the kind she likes to buy. I went up front to ask for a manager so they could change it in the computer and online ordering and they had me walking all over the store for 30 minutes looking for 3 different manager and I never found anyone. red shirt, Blue shirt, Black shirt manager....total waste of my time. I called my wife and she informs me this is normal for Northport, Alabama WalMart to state things are Out Of Stock when they have it on the shelf. Employees are too lazy and do not make the effort to look for it! On top of that when she does order, 90% of the time we never get items we order, so what is the real purpose of their so-called great online grocery service....very poor and we really do not recomment it!!! read more

Arse absolutely shameful August 27, 2024. I walked up to the cashier at the gas station. She was busy on her phone typing. I waited and finally said excuse me she looked up slowly put her phone down and I was able to ask my question I don't mind her being on her phone, but that is ridiculous that I had to wait when I'm standing right in front of her for her to put her phone down and stop texting, I tried to call the Walmart not one single department answered the phone line. I called five different departments. This place is a disgrace management needs to look into this place. read more

Stopped in today to pick up most,t produce. Certainly their produce here is better than most places closer to my home. The store was busy, but not insane busy. I even stopped to use the restroom. It wasn't the absolute cleanest, but good enough. I never use the hand blow dryers, so I was happy to see a paper towel dispenser outside the restroom. Since I do not mind self service checkout, I was able to cut my time in the store. All the produce was easy to find in the self checkout. It was a pretty easy trip. read more

This Walmart tends to have good service when being waited on but they have a lot of out of stocks. In other words, they are out of products more than average compared to other Walmarts that I have been in. I really like what is close by. Across the street is a Lowes and right out in the parking lot is a Murphy gas station. They have plenty of parking places here. I estimated 1000 to 1400 parking places out in the parking lot. So no problem there. read more

Seriously the absolute worst customer service at the Tuscaloosa and North Port Alabama locations ! I have gone to two locations to price match your own online price for my child's baby wipes and even though I have the link to the posted price of 4.00$ a box I have continually been told they will not honor that advertised price !!!! Thankfully I called target and they will gladly take my money. It's insane that a store will not honor a price posted as a in store price online even though they have an item in stock. Just the last nail in the coffin dealing with Walmart at all. I used Walmart's Delivery Express Service online for the first time and it failed miserably! They informed my order had been delivered; however, it never came. After spending over 4 hours talking with their Asst. Managers and 24 hours later, I still have no groceries delivered. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered with no sense of urgency to respond and make it right with the customer. If you go in the store and can find what you want OK; but, I highly recommend stay away from their delivery service. It is a mess!!!! read more

We have done the grocery pick up from the Marketplace Northport location numerous times and it comes out immediately, but this one came out an hour past the time our window ended! I take into account they are overwhelmed with quarantine and I always try to give the most patience but this wait was insane! read more

Typical Wal-Mart. Huge grocery selection with hardly any organic or specialty items. People's trash left on the shelves that's probably been there for days. Unhelpful staff. But of all the Wal-Marts I've been to, this is by far not the worst. And if I have the misfortune of having to stop into a Wal-Mart, this is the one I try to go to. read more

I went into WalMart Northport Al. It was raining like crazy but that was not a problem for employee Tina Marie. I was looking for flowers for a funeral. She was amazing I didn't know what I was looking for but she ran in the rain with me to find 2 beautiful flowers. When we were through we were soak & wet but she was still very happy to have helped me & it wasn't even her department!!! if i could leave negative stars, i definitely would. this was by far the worst experience that i have ever had at a walmart store. i waited in the painting section for over 45 minutes while i watched multiple employees ignore me needing assistance and as i tried to get their attention they would dart down an isle. the employees that didn't run down isle after seeing me standing there gave me very dirty looks and were honestly just rude all together. once i finally stopped someone, they called someone over the intercom. i had to do this multiple times while standing there. i even pressed the assistance button about 10 times in the time period i was there. after pressing the button multiple times an employee came over and asked, "did you press the button for help?" i replied, "yes, about 10 times." her reply was, "oh yeah, i think its broke." and in the end, no one came and i just walked out. i have been to plenty walmart stores that have been amazing, but this particular location left me very unsatisfied. if you are in need of paint or any type of hardware, i would suggest going to the lowes across the street. i was in and out in under 15 minutes and they were extremely helpful. read more

If you would like to shop at a Walmart that has minimal options, numerous staff members sitting in the chairs that are for sale just chatting, staff standing in groups chatting, or stand in the outrageous lines of the only 2 registers open- then this is the Walmart for you...I would take pictures of all of the staff but I don't have enough time.. I will say that most all of the self checkouts were available and there seemed to be one employee who was working and very attentive..my previous experience was similar- as frantic manager is pacing and paging employees to come to the front to open registers as customers were wrapped around the clothing area and no one was responding to his pages... finally I stopped him and politely asked if he could open more registers for obvious reasons and let him know that 6 employees were roaming the aisles not doing shit.. I hate to be that person but it's not that complicated.. they can't seem to get it together ‍ read more

Have stopped going to North Port Walmart due to the constant lines at checkouts. Never enough cashiers working. I was in the auto service department last time, and people were rolling up with baskets of general merchandise to check out there, due to long lines up front. This just slowed down the auto dept, with it's single clerk, cashier working. read more

Ghettoville but not as bad as the one on Skyland (I don't think!) I stood in line for AT LEAST FIVE MINUTES, with the young girl's light on, but she decided to tell another customer to tell me that she was done after him. He looked back and said, "Did you hear that?" I said no and he told me and shrugged-- knowing she had been seeing me standing there for a long time and knowing her light was on... She didn't want to confront me because she knew she was wrong and because as she said, "I get off at 8. I'm done after him." All of the workers pretty much "teamed up" together and had attitudes-- ghetto and immature to say the least. Never in my life! These people are so uneducated and ridiculous. You don't let a customer stand in line for that long, with your light on, and then tell them to leave to go stand behind another long line. I stood there and argued and finally got a manager so I could vent (highly doubt she is going to do something about it.) I'm not sure if it's because I live in Alabama or not but these people are beyond my imagination and it's not pretty. read more

I purchased a chair online and was told I could pick it up in the store that night. When I arrived it took 20 minutes before being helped. The guy said he couldn't find my order in their system and so it must be on a truck somewhere. When I asked him how I should know when it would be there since the computer told me it was already in the store he just told me to call them later sometime. I waited a week before calling the store. After being transferred and then sitting on hold for 15 minutes a girl answered, interrupted me, and told me "Oh I thought you were another employee. Hold on." A man then answered the phone and also cut me off saying that he was in the middle of unloading a truck and it was probably on it and just call back some other time and see. At the end of the same day I called the customer service number on Walmart.com only to be told the store didn't have my order and that if they had just checked the system they could have told me because they have access to the same exact information. I will not be shopping at this store any more because of such lazy and poor customer service. read more
