Went shopping at 8 PM on a Saturday. At the checkout there was ONE checkout lane open and 8 people with full carts waiting. After a mini insurrection a manager appeared and said it was Walmart policy to only have one checkout lane on a Saturday night at 8 PM. Smith's is just down the street and Albertson's is in the same center. Walmart, get your head out of your a&& and take care of your customers. BTW, the managers on duty didn't seem to care whether we were upset or not. On another note, this store is the dirtiest Walmart I have ever seen. The employees seem overwhelmed. Eh, it's a Wal-Mart. It's also the only show in town. It's not great but it's adequate. It may save the bacon of any tourists rolling through who suddenly realize they've forgotten some vital object that they can't pick up at a regular grocery or other local business, but many locals try to wait until they can get into Vegas or another city to do most of their shopping, which is probably a better idea. read more

The staff in general are helpful and friendly at my neighborhood Walmart In Pahrump, NV. However, today I would like to highlight Brittany's exceptional customer service in the Pharmacy Dept. My vet told me they faxed my dog's RX prescription a couple times to Walmart. I called Walmart and they told me they have not received them yet. So I headed to Walmart to try to find out where the miscommunication could be as I needed a couple grocery items anyways. Brittany helped me and made a couple phone calls to my vet and was finally able to resolve the problem (apparently my vet faxed several times but got a busy signal). Thank you Brittany for going beyond the call of duty. The best part about Brittany is she did not hesitate to help and didn't seem bothered making the call to my vet. Her professionalism, genuine friendliness, and willingness to follow thorough to ensure this transaction was a success saved me a lot of headache and prevented a seizure. Great job Brittany and your remarkable customer service should be emulated and recognized. read more

I occasionally purchase things online and have made pickups several times at the back pick-up counter. I'm frustrated by touching the screen that says "an associate will be with you shortly!" - and apparently my "shortly" doesn't match Wal-Mart's definition. The associate who happens to walk by several minutes later seems surprised that I'm there, as if that screen was only there to give the customer something to do. The employees who walk by often pay no attention to the guy standing at an empty desk. I get my stuff easily enough, eventually. But I see plenty of room for improvement here. How about an automatic announcement paging someone as soon as I touch the screen? How about standards with response times? Hey, how about a name to go with who's responsible for being with me shortly? The desk doesn't have to be staffed 24/7, but there should be a way to monitor this area of the store. read more

Honestly. This place is always a mess, understaffed with cashiers, teammate satisfaction is low, and clearly you can see there engagement is low based off how they treat customers. Each time I go into this Walmart, an older woman named Crystal always says inappropriate things to me. Once she told me she could see the outline of my private area through my pants. When I got embarrassed and put my bag over it, she told me, "no, I like it, it looks so good" she moved her hand down and I jumped back because I was afraid she was trying to touch me down there. When I told her supervisor about it, she laughed and said, "oh crystal!" Like it was common behavior from Crystal or like it was ok. Which it was far from ok. Another time I was there, Crystal came up to me while I was in line and told me to go to another register and pointed out where to go. When I did she watched me walk away and loudly made these noises like she was licking her lips. I feel so uncomfortable going there now. I've seen other reviews discussing the same behavior from her so it's nice to know its not just me because I was getting so weirded out by it, but ever since I told her supervisor about it, she's been different. Like she's angry at me now because now I can't buy anything without her coming up behind me and harassing me about my purchases! She makes comments indicating I'm trying to steal from the store now. This tales place everytime I go in now. I do not steal and she knows that but I think she's mad because I told on her. I should not have this kind of relationship with an employer at my grocer!!! Its so awkward I hesitate anytime I need to go grocery shopping now. I always try to get my wife to go instead of me but she works weird hours and can't do the shopping so I have to put up with a harassing old hag who has no boundaries!!! Walmart is a necessary evil in this area, with little availability of local stores for purchasing the items found at Walmart. Its a Walmart people, they are not know for their fantastic service, superbly clean stores, nor always having the items you need, they are about bulk selling and maximizing profits. The produce is just ok, I never purchase meat from their grocery section, but the price and selection of dry goods cant be beat. The other sections of the store has a great selection of goods, so you are likley sure to find what you need here. When you do find a team member to ask for assistance they are always willing to help. read more

I bought 4 new tires from the auto service department..I went to test drive my van, got the speed up to 55 and lost control of my van...took it back to Walmart auto and asked why they didn't balance my tires and was told that they don't balance tires...how is it possible that they can put on new tires and not balance them...they should have told me the tires were not balanced...I could have been in a serious accident when my van was swerving all over the road... read more

The last 3 times I have been in the Pahrump Walmart has been any thing but a good experience. I try to send money and because of the Covit virus I have been unable to update my I.D. so I am unable to send money because of this even though I have sent money from Walmart to Walmart 100 times. Now I buy a Netgear GS605v5 yesterday 03/19/2021 and I can not connect to it and the wind took the receipt or it was never placed in my bags. Now of course I can not return it for my money back lack of a receipt but they can issue a Walmart gift card if I had up to date ID. I've been this Walmart since it was first built here, I will never go back to the Pahrump Walmart. The employees are rude, like they think I am trying to scam them. I have since changed my shopping habits. I don't shop for groceries at Walmart anymore. I go to a GROCERY store. Walmart is not a grocery store, they pretend they are. Trying to save a few bucks at Walmart is not worth the hassle and harassment by management and their employees. It's worth a few bucks more for peace of mind with a smile. I don't know when or how I got duped into shopping for groceries at Walmart over the years. If i ever need a lampshade, I might go there (maybe). They survive on grocery sales, not on lampshades or cloths or whatever other things they sell. I have nothing against Walmart as a whole, just the one in Pahrump NV with the management and employee attitudes who think you have to shop there because it's the only Walmart around. No we don't have to shop for groceries there. It is so uninviting and dirty. I know around 50 people who live in Pahrump who don't shop for groceries there anymore because of attitudes. That is around 40k to 50k a month in revenue that goes to other outlets for groceries now. If they can survive with RV Travelers, so be it. So I would like to thank the fools in charge there for causing me and the many others to re-evaluate our shopping habits. We prefer peace of mind. read more

Avoid. Not only is it Wal-Mart, an instant negative, but I found it messy and disorganized. For having so few people shopping, it was surprisingly unclean. If you need foodstuffs, you're much better off going to the Albertsons next door. For everything else, just go the extra distance to Las Vegas. It's dirty never completly stocked the service is terrible the photo dept never has anyone at the counter everything is in disarray crap on the floor. This review is for Walmart's Family Mobile cell phone plan and their connection with T-Mobile. This is chain wide and does not reflect on the Pahrump Nevada store. I have been without phone service for 2 days now, including 9-11 access! Going to the Family mobile web site for help and information is 100% useless! No support, no emails, always told to go to T-Mobile which is Walmarts cell carrier. Now T-mobile denies ANY connection to Walmart, family mobile, to me, to my cell phone, to my account, everything!!! T-mobile is rude, apathetic, unreliable, unresponsable and totally worthless. It's a Wal Mart. Better than some, worse than others. This is the smallest "super center" and the grocery section is limited on shelf space but the selection is adequate. The rest of the store is pretty well stocked. Overall the store is satisfactory. read more

This Walmart has the very worst deli I have ever visited. The incompetence of the staff is only exceeded by the management. It's not a case of a bad day for this staff it's a bad every day! From employees that can't tell the difference between a quarter pound and a third of a pound to the manager that blows thru on nearly every visit and laughs and apologies for the wait then keeps walking. Seriously....what a joke! On my last visit there were 7 employees behind the counter. One waiting on customers... 4 checking the temperature of the chickens in the cooker and 2 others seemingly doing nothing. I suggest you try Smith's for groceries, home depot for hardware and paint, and any of our dozen auto parts stores and repair shops for auto stuff. There are no other places for toys clothes and tv's so I guess you are stuck with unstocked shelves and standing in line for 1/2 hour. read more

Walmart is the most racist company. I am a senior citizen. I went into the store to send money to one of my family members who was in need. We were told that the money went through. Then we find out that the recipient on the other end couldn't receive it. The company stated the phone # was different because we used the cell phone number instead of our home phone number. What a crock. We paid with a debit card, gave them all identification that was required and they accused us of fraud. They refunded the money back in cash and we questioned why wouldn't they return back into the bank. We were told this is how we do it. They gave us cash which was very scary as it about $1k and sent us on our way This is not the way you treat people. The rudeness and contempt in the voices was hurtful and to be accused of fraud. The problem with Walmart stores is, I believe the people that run these stores can't read. Here goes anyway. I was harassed by a customer as I turned down an isle in the grocery section. I hadn't been in Walmart for some time and didn't notice the one way arrows. After some thought, and watching other customers get yelled at by this rude woman, I came to the conclusion that sooner or later there's going to be a fight because of these one way isles. The other problem I noticed was in many cases like this, where there is the availability of a single person to correct another, a person will assume they have more authority than they really do, and will really piss off another person for absolutely NO REASON! People are still elbow to elbow, not 6 feet apart in Walmart accept at the register. NO ARROW ON THE FLOOR WILL PREVENT THAT! Walmart, by making this rule is setting themselves up for failure. Overall its fine --as long as your done shopping by 10am-- place turns into a freakfest and somewhat of a zoo when the majority of Pahrump decides to wake up and start their day. The store has one of the better selections of pet food and supplies, which is the main reason I shop there. Has the typical 20 checkout lanes, but only 2-3 open as with any other Wally World you'll shop at. The only real 'boggle" I have with the place are the occasional door greeter(s) who think and act like they are uniformed law enforcement (I guess the blue vest comes with special powers) and suspect everyone of stealing something. I know its the store's nation wide policy for them to ask customers for receipts while headed out the door, but when they watch you at the checkout line, exchange money, and still ask for a receipt, I call that profiling. (LOL) Best thing to do is mumble what words of a foreign language you know, and keep on walking. Lastly, one thing you have to remember that's it is in fact Pahrump. It makes up for the fact there is no movie theater here in town, and our local Wally World is a good source of entertainment- have you're camera phones ready! read more
