Seriously the worst one I've ever been to. You'll get asked for change multiple times before you even get inside. Not one of the shopping carts will roll smoothly. They all have huge chunks missing from the wheels. Every time I've asked for help finding something, I've never had anyone actually TRY to help. There are always huge long lines and I've never seen more than 5 registers open at one time. Once you get to the front of the line, the cashiers are unfriendly. The management staff obviously doesn't care and is also unhelpful. I've witnessed fights in line between customers. This Wal Mart is awful! I avoid it at all costs. I live just down the street and I hate going to this store because of the difficulties parking, lack of customer service, long lines, and general staff cluelessness. For example, after hunting down a staff member to help me find a pepper grinder, I was met with a bewildered look as f I were asking for some obscure piece of medical equipment. OK fine...I found it myself. After going into the express line, I was served by a staff member whos station was strewn with used tissues and he was hacking up God knows what. OK fine, I asked him to use hand sanitizer before checking me out. But then, he had to talk to himself through each individual purchase; and, what sould have taken 3 minutes tops took 10 minutes. Ugh! I'd rather pay more than go through things like this everytime I shop. read more

I go to Walmart because, purely and simply, it saves money. But I haven't had the best experience at this Walmart. It is not very well maintained - from the parking lot to the store itself to the bathrooms (just hold it if you have to go!) When I have to go here, I make it short and sweet. The location on Pima and Chaparral is much preferred. read more

On vacation, and the closest 24 hour Walmart was this one. I echo what people said about people walking around looking like zombies in the parking lot. At least, in the places where carts weren't blocking the place. I don't know if it was because it was late at night or what but it was a mess out there, and I've never seen so many trashy people in one parking lot before... here I thought the Panorama City Walmart in California was bad; compared to this, it was wonderful! When I checked out half the lines were blocked off for floor sweeping, but also... NONE of the lights were on for open checkout aisles, and I had to flag down a manager to help me. I actually felt bad for the manager guy because he was checking out a deranged person before me who was babbling about somebody with white hair. In any event, I was very uncomfortable here. The only positive things were that it was open 24 hours and that it was cheap. read more

I just moved to the area as well and this is unfortunately the closest Wal Mart to me as well. The dirty parking ot is the dirty prelude to the store. It is old, the floor is that linoleum tile-I had never seen that in a Wal Mart before-and it's layout is seemingly different from every other Wal Mart I have ever been in. Lots of zombie looking customers and employees, very unkept and trashy in appearance (people and store). The lines were long and there were minimal cash registers open. If this is the closest WM to you, sorry for you. Otherwise just suck it up and endure it or shop elsewhere, far away...there really are no other local, cheap alternatives if you live in Central Phx. read more

Went to this Walmart 40st and Thomas, I was treated like a thief for purchasing make-up. If Walmart think every customer is a thief they should move to a better area. The guy at the make-up counter was rude. Guy at counter told me no food products didn't have any had about 20 items deodorant and Ect.. and refused to ring up more then 10 items, and to do 2 orders. Went to the Vision Center just had changed to new insurance when and got my eyes checked ready to get my contacts I was informed that I will $10 I just want sorry but I was told by my insurance I did not have to pay $10 trying to argue the points by this time I forgot I had my credit cards on me so okay I will bring you the $10 they made it sound like I was a criminal had stoled millions of dollars when it was a little $10 pay them and I never went back to that horrible place again read more

Super ghetto and very dirty store in general. Any other time and I prefer to spend more money and gas by just driving to the Target that is a few lights down from this hell hole. Very shady characters that hang around in the parking lot all the time and the employees seem to hate their job. Whenever you go to pay for your items it seems like there are only 2 lanes open, there are always big long lines. Black Friday here is a nightmare, adults yelling and fighting like they are 5 year old kids. read more

I should have not expected anything less from Walmart but this particular Walmart is beyond crap, giving it a one star is even a miracle. The staff is incompetent, emotionless, & even rude. Went in for a ticket pick-up from Ticketmaster which they don't do anymore but it's still advertised. I called to make sure & was told to go to the back of the store where online purchase pick-up is at, well that department sends me to customer service (which had a long ass line with 2 workers) so when I finally get up there I'm told they don't do it. This is the worst walmart I've ever been in. The parking lot is full of trash, there are employees out front smoking, nothing is ever stocked, the lines are always super long (especially at customer service), employees never have answers to your questions, and it's just dirty in general inside. I could list off more but it would take forever. The only reason I would go there is to get something late night when nothing else is open, but now that they close at midnight I have no reason to go there. Horrible. Every time I go in there are about 3 checkout lines open, with about 15 people in each line with no sense of urgency what so ever. Recently I tried to give this particular Walmart one more chance and they blew it entirely. This location states they are open 24 hours, so I tried to stop in at 11:57 PM to grab something essential. When I was walking to the door at 11:58 PM I was met by a Walmart employee outside who was turning away customers saying that they indeed close at Midnight... Hm I'll stick with Target from now on, Walmart isn't even worth their "low prices" anymore, especially this location. read more

Stopped to get some donuts for my kids bday. Bought a tub of the frosted and chocolate. Picked my kid up from school and she said the donuts were moldy. I was like, what?? I checked em out and some of the frosted donuts were moldy. I couldn't believe this cause the expiration tag was sell by 12/11/2014 and I bought these on 12/2/2014. pretty nasty just like this store. read more

Worst Wal-Mart ever!!! Dirty! Disgusting! Gross! Rude!!! The yellow caution tape on the outside might make someone believe that this store is trying to protect its customers but this couldn't be further from the truth. The two workers at front entrance, in this picture, were completely unconcerned about anyone obeying the one side exit one side entrance that the tape was clearly trying to show. These two employees let customers go out the entrance and squeeze by those going in with zero efforts to keep anyone six feet apart. Not one single employee inside made any effort to keep a safe distance from me. Not one employee was wearing a mask. My cashier, Mohammed at register 9, was extremely rude and was busy chatting with his friends who were standing directly in front of me and not six feet away from me. The people behind me in line ignored the six feet away blue square, and came up right behind me. I had to ask them to back up. Mohamed never said a word to me. Not a "hi" "how are you" or "thank you". This store obviously does not take the pandemic seriously, and every worker was extremely rude and careless. Worst shopping experience ever. I had my purse stollen while I was tending to my crying baby. When I brought the issue to customer service the woman acted like I was bothering her. I knew who had taken my purse and all I was asking was for them to check the cameras to see if she was still in the store. They said they couldn't do that and sent me on my way. I've shopped at Walmart Supercenters for years in many different states and I have never experienced one as terrible as this one :-/ I shope at Walmart for the discounts and variety of choices, but not at this location! The shelves are poorly stocked, many open spaces and not many choices. The store itself is poorly maintained inside and out!! The produce is not fresh and neither is the bread products. This store needs someone to care about it and its customers!! I don't know if this will change and Walmart itself doesn't feel the hurt because they still get my business, just at a different location. read more

I want to start off by saying, I try really hard not to go to any Walmart, ever. That being said, I live downtown, work odd hours, and sometimes I have to do things like buy cheap clothes at 11 PM and I have no choice but to shop at this Walmart. As far as Walmarts go, this is one of the worst. The parking is always a disaster, and the lot is constantly littered with trash and dirty diapers. It closes at midnight, I presume because it's unsafe to be open 24 hours like some other locations are. The dressing rooms close at like 7 PM, so you either have to try clothes on over your own or buy it without knowing if it fits. It's always busy, and the staff seems pretty miserable. If you go in, try to be nice to them, I'm sure they put up with enough b.s. from their employer and other customers. Unfortunately, it's a necessary evil sometimes, so I'm glad it's there. But if you have the choice, go somewhere else. read more

Now maybe its because I'm not a regular Walmart guy but it took me forever to wade through everything in here to finally find what I needed.
