I would give negative stars if it was possible. This used to be our store of choice for grocery shopping. Due to their new policies and the unbelievably horrible behavior by their employees we will never shop in any Walmart again. We were doing our normal shopping there this weekend and were trying to get some gallons of water for the house. There was only a few gallons of water left on the shelf. An extremely rude employee who was gathering items for an online purchase from a customer comes walking up to the aisle after we had already been there before she was even in the department and tells us she is claiming the last waters for her online customer. I might note that this seems to be the accepted and taught behavior by management. I would strongly suggest steering clear of any Walmart locations since they apparently think people can't just shop at their competitors. I for one and none of my family members will ever give them another dime of our money. read more

I would give this Walmart zero stars if I could. Needed 2 tires, called the auto service dept. to make sure they had the tires in stock and got the total cost of tires, and mounting and balance. Got there and parked. A mechanic came out and Yelled " Hay you, you can't park there " I was at least 60 feet away from the service bay entrance, and there were no signs saying no parking in the area. So I moved my car. I told him I was there to buy 2 tires, and he said "go in that door over there" I was about 3 feet from the door when another mechanic came out of the door and he really Yelled at me, "what are you doing here, and how did you get in" I told him I was there to buy tires. I guess the first guy told me walk in a spot that this other guy didn't want me walking in. I was there 2 hours to get 2 tires put on. I was waiting in the customer lounge, and nobody ever told me my car was done. I just happened to look outside and saw it was done. Went to pay and the price was $27 higher than I was quoted. I would not ever go there for any thing again, even if was free !! There was not any reason for those 2 men to be rude and speak to me the way they both did. read more

What I've come to expect from Wal-Mart customer service over the years. I walk in looking for Christmas presents for my nieces. After walking around the toy section for 15 minutes without seeing any sales associates , I migrate to electronics where the nearest sales rep resides. I walk up to him, but e is looking down and not paying me any attention. I ask if he can help me and he gives me an audible groan and tells me to ask the guy in sporting goods. Of course the guy in sporting goods gives me the look one would expect when I let him know what directive I was given. This Walmart needs to drug test employees and bring back police security in the store to keep customers safe. My 8 year old son and I were treated real bad by cashier Stephanie Keys of Clearwater. This person looked like she was high on drugs, and smelled overwhelming like Marijuana. Her eyes were dilated and she was extremely abusive. I feel bad my son had to see this. Just because people need to buy groceries for their family, does not mean they are garbage, as this woman wanted to make us feel. I work as an EMT. I deal with life and death situations every day. Don't buy tires online and have them shipped to the store for install. I purchased 2 Cooper tires maybe 2 years ago. The belt separated on the tire. They only had 8700 miles on the tires. Could get NO help from Cooper, NO help from Walmart to get replacements or some money back on the tires since the tread was still in great shape. Today marks the last day I will be a customer at Pinellas Park Walmart. I went grocery shopping this afternoon and, when i went to my car, I had a flat tire. I thought to myself, "Awesome, I can get a new tire before going home."....WRONG. At 4:15, I went to the tire dept and told the woman behind the counter what had happened and that I wanted 2 new tires. The woman told me I would have to come back tomorrow if I wanted tires because they weren't doing them any longer today. I repeated that I discovered my tire was flat after coming out from grocery shopping. She said it didn't matter and that I needed to come back tomorrow. Ultimately, I ended up calling AAA and getting towed to Good Year and getting 2 new tires from them. TERRIBLE customer service. We will not be returning to this Walmart for tires, groceries, or anything else. read more

Oh God, memories of my teenage years. This Walmart is a summary of Florida and is definitely a microcosm of its culture. This Walmart is always packed and you can never find parking, even at 3AM. There are always trailers parked outside. My sister always got an asthma attack when she walked in. You can order McDonald's straight from the Walmart cash register. The lines are long and the shelves are disorganized. It is open 24/7. This Walmart is not only helping you 'Save Money. Live Better,' it is also a fantastic place to kill time. I've spent hours here while getting an oil change in the tire shop, and the people watching here never gets old. read more

The only good things about Walmart is that it is open 24/7 and you can do all of your shopping in one place. Also things are a little cheaper here for most things. This one off US 19 seems to always be packed because of its location. Luckily, I've only been at night during non peak hours so it usually isn't too bad with parking and check out. Pinellas Park Supercenter, one of the best Wal-Marts I've visited! Brought my vehicle in for a balance on the tires I just had installed at the Fort Lauderdale location a few days ago. After driving a couple hundred miles to visit family in the Tampa are, I knew something wasn't right. Kathy the Department Manager could have not been more helpful or friendly. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE FIRST THING IN THE MORNING! From Lissa (with two ss) who is the department manager in the auto department! DO NOT BUY BATTERIES FROM HERE BECAUSE THEY DONT LIKE TO HONOR THEIR WARRANTIES. I have a 5 year warranty on a battery I bought one and a half years ago from this location. It went completely bad so I came to replace it for free as promised. The idiots that work at Walmart did not put it into the system properly at the time that I bought it so there was no record of me purchasing it there. There is a date on the battery that says 1/16. This is when it was manufactured. It is now 2018 meaning the battery is only two years old. Without the date of purchase that is still within the warranty time frame. Lissa wanted to argue and say that that was not a date... Yes. It is a date. She replied well that's not the date of purchase. No sh** it's the date the battery was made which still makes it less than five years old. After arguing she finally replaced the battery which I was entitled to. I work in customer service and normally I can tolerate dumb people if they are at least polite. This was not the case she was neither competent nor nice. I don't appreciate a condescending attitude first thing in the morning before I've even had coffee. Hence the meanest review I have ever written. read more

Tires were low on pressure and the car needed an oil change. My wife had free time today, so I asked her to take it in to get both taken care of at the same time at this Wal-Mart. She specifically requested they check and fill the tires. She came home, letting me know that the car still said the tires had low pressure. I got my tire pressure gauge back out (I had checked the tires the previous day), and checked them again. Ranged from 24-32 psi amongst the four tires. I checked the receipt, every tire was 'checked' and showed 32 psi. Bologna. Lazy service personnel checked one and made an assumption. Poor service has lost you a customer. There's plenty of places to get your oil checked/changed that doesn't employ lazy personnel. read more

Wow stuff is CHEAP here. With such a massive selection of merchandise I felt like I could spend hours in here. They didn't just have merchandise, they had a hair salon, and eyeglass office, a pharmacy, a separate liquor store, their own gas station outside, and so much I probably didn't even see. The large senior population and the stereotyped obese American riding around on a rascal scooter are the main shoppers here, but don't let that deter you from a great deal! Something I've learned during my marketing and accounting classes is that people shop at Walmart because their quality is "good enough". As long as the quality of products of any business is "good enough", people will buy. Especially if you can purchase an item .30 cents cheaper than its competitors. I absolutely love Walmart; it's the supercenter I go to after work and during late night adventures. If I could have it my way I would spend hours upon hours just looking around the entire store. Most products are cheap but efficient, and nine times out of ten you'll find the same box of Tampax Radiant that you saw at Target for a much lower price. Yeah, that's right, I called Target out! (Don't get me wrong, I love Target too, but I just don't have the money for it). I have to be honest though - the place is a wreck. Products are never recovered, there's items strewn pretty much everywhere, and organization seems to have gone awry. If I hadn't had the store almost memorized I'd be lost forever. Most employees are pretty lazy and never seem to keep up (or care to) with the mess customers make. And don't even get me started with how trashy the customers look/act/are. I've exchanged ashamed glances with more normal people for us being at Walmart among the sea of goons. But I don't care because I love Walmart. There's only a couple late night cashiers that, if I could have it my way, I would stand in line for every time I go because they're really friendly. Yes, some Walmart employees do smile! I was at the Walmart in oldsmar and called to see if they could get me in. I advised the person that I will be there in thirty minutes and that I had bad tires. I was told to come over and it wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived I was told no way they could get me in and when I let them know I called they denied ever talking to me even though I showed proof that I called. They then laughed at me and refused me a manager. This was the worst service I've ever seen. Do not ever go to this location. read more

Just another Saturday of procuring groceries, not anything spectacular. One tip: if you don't want people stalking your parking spaces who want to grab yours the very moment you leave, park on the sides or in the back. Otherwise, you run into the many that look at that concrete between the lines like it is a piece of steak for their car. Got a good check-out lady today who double bagged everything like milk, iced tea, and the like. The thing about Walmart is you'll get 20 checkout employees who will do things 20 different ways, but that's life, leaving things open to interpretation. I haven't been a worker for Walmart in 15 years, so I don't remember what their bagging policies are. Nice to see some employees out there looking out for us. Other than that, it was the usual rat race of trying to outmaneuver people from all walks of life. I absolutely avoid this location as much as possible. I dislike everything from the clientele to the staff. One time my husband and I went in looking for something specific and we asked 4 different employees and each one sent us to a different location in the store until we ended up coming full circle where we started. Of course in true Wal-Mart style they have like 50 registers and only keep 2 or 3 open no matter how long the line is. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because they almost always have what I want but I do go out of my way to actively avoid going there if at all possible. read more

This Walmart is getting a five star review for one reason and one reason only and his name is TERRELL from the photo department. I had an online order of a photo canvas. It was delivered to Walmart on Monday and it is now Saturday and I haven't gotten an email to come pick it up. It's for a wedding so it was very important. I stopped and asked a pick up clerk who was friendly and said I needed to go to the photo department for that even though it was an online order. I then talked with Terrell who literally searched the photo area from top to bottom and didn't find anything. He said that since it was an online order, it would be in the pick up area and that I needed to see someone in that department (which is what my thoughts were as well.) I went to the pick up section AGAIN and called for help. A girl came out and told us that because it's a photo item, even though it was printed at the Walmart headquarters and shipped to this store, it must be at the photo center. I asked her if someone could just check the back and see if it was there and basically I was told no and that there was no point cause it wouldn't be there, and that her manager would say the same. Frustrated, I headed back to the photo section, knowing Terrell had already searched every square inch of that place. He told me he'd check one more time, and after a few minutes, he came back with my canvas that he found IN THE PICK UP SECTION. This photo employee went all the way to the pick up section, found my item and did what the pick up employee should have done. He turned an extremely frustrating experience into an amazing one. If every employee acted like Terrell, this Walmart wouldn't have so many negative reviews. He deserves a raise, a promotion, or at least some kind of recognition because he went above and beyond for me and that's what customer service is all about. Thank you so much Terrell. Friday, March 24, 2017 Walmart Vision Center in Pinellas Park, Florida is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! And to clarify, I am not speaking about Dr. D'Alesio, but the people who "work" in the eyeglasses section. Tracey and Sky are absolutely pathetic. My husband paid $500 for glasses. My husband got the phone call that his glasses are ready to be picked up. My husband and I went to Walmart Vision Center in Pinellas Park to pick them up and Tracey would not give us the new glasses UNLESS WE GAVE HER MY HUSBAND'S CURRENT GLASSES THAT HE WAS WEARING!!! ???? Tracey said the glasses my husband was wearing belong to Walmart! huh?? My husband got his current glasses 5 years ago. Also, early in the day I asked Sky if the glasses were in and Sky said no. I found out later that the glasses WERE IN. Sky just did not want to get off her lazy butt to go look in the back. Also, Tracey told me Sky was done working for the day and went home; 30 minutes later I see Sky sitting (doing nothing again) at a table. The auto center is poorly managed and understaffed. An oil change can easily take 3 hours. I timed three cars getting their oil changed from the time they pulled over the pit until they were pulled out of the bay: 51 minutes, 42 minutes and 58 minutes. No speed records being broken here - definitely not a fast oil change. read more

Sam Walton would pass out if he were not already dead at the sheer insolence and downright rude behavior of many associates at this location. Even the greeter was surly. The store has an odd layout in comparison to other Walmarts but don't bother asking directions or anything. The mumbling replies and shoulder shrugging is the best I got. I am a visitor to st Pete but am here often and this Walmart is always bad but this visit, it's been terrible. I'm here taking care of an infant for a relative and needed some things but got no help or even civil kindness and manners from anyone at this location. Typically, this sort of thing starts at the top so either the manager stinks or several associate managers do. Either way, this Walmart has numerous employees in need of training. Never again. It becoming obvious that at this Walmart, they expect their customers to be criminals. I have never stole a thing in my life and won't allow someone to treat me like I have.When they starting checking the receipt when I left, I reluctantly understood. But I was in last week to pick up some fishing bait and my husband found a great deal on a big TV ( superbowl deal), so I went to the front of the store to grab a cart. Well, unless you are prepared to "break Walmart law", this isn't a very good idea. They now have mechanical metal gates blocking the entrance that only open when someone enters. So, the only way to grab a cart it to wait for someone coming in and to slip past them. Well, I have since learned that in doing so, you'll have alarms sounding, lights flashing and employees running at your screaming. I was trying to explain that I just need a shopping cart and they were nice enough to tell me that " I should have thought of that before I come in". Nope. Never again. I have been to dozens of Walmart's in my lifetime and this store is by FAR the WORST! There are never any carts in the cart area inside the store, the merchandise is completely unorganized and just flat out messy! And the lines are insanely long, while most of the employees stand outside the doors smoking! I was discussed! I walked into the store with my small child expecting to set him down in a cart and there were none. I mainly only visit the health and beauty department which is always fully stocked. However for the pass couple of weeks I've been checking out the baby clothes section and it's not fully stocked at all. This is your typical super-Walmart. Yeah they have everything. No matter the time....3pm, or 3am....the doors are open for anyone to come and get what they need. Stores like this are why the populace is spoiled by getting whatever they need at anytime. Wal-Mart has embraced this and that's why they prosper. They contain within their doors every single item made in Guangdong Province, China. One may balk at the quality of items of said manufacture, but we are prisoner to the endless import of items we use and need everyday. Until the US takes back all jobs from China and companies agrees to pay living wages to US workers selling those items, we will always need and go to Walmart. I chuckle at those that say boycott Walmart and Target and this and that, and that they will never shop here. You know you shop at these places regardless of your views, as the fact is they carry so many items and at a discount that if you are willing to pay more for German made or Italian made comparable items good for you....glad you can afford it. Funny thing is that those German and Italian items are made in China as well. No escape. Just give the money to Wal-Mart and support the workers here as much as you can. I'm not sure what store the previous reviewer went to but I have never actually seen a wal-mart employee smile. It could be the company's practice of offering only subsistence wages, or the fact that they like to build on ecologically sensitive wetlands, or possibly their dismal record of importing goods so cheap that China has invented new, lower standards for product quality. Auto Dept: Had a great experience! Needed a set of all 4 new tires. Deshawn was able to help me out and give me a great deal on 4 tires, installation, and basically a warranty package. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and made my experience very joyful. Was in and out in an hour and costed me a little over 400. Great deal compared to other places. Definitely recommend! Came into the auto dept for an oil change and new wipers and FIRST they ended up loosing my car keys in which I had to help them find and it took over half an hr. During the whole time I remained calm because accidents happen. THEN I go home and notice they didn't fill up my wiper fluid which I had asked them to so I called and spoke to a manager who said if I came back they would take care of me and reimburse me for the inconvenience. After arriving the manager I spoke with acted like he had never made that deal with me. I'm totally cool if that isn't part of their policy but I find it extremely disrespectful how I went thru a lot with them and then looked at like I'm at wrong for wanting to be compensated. With a Walmart on every block maybe just save your business for a different location. PS Target is where it's at. read more

5 stars for Alton in the tire center, I came in with a bolt in my tire and he was the associate who helped me. There was a longer line of people and he did everything he could to take care of everyone, and what seems to be also training/working with a new employee.
