We ended up at Kohl's in Vincennes, Indiana. So as I was shopping with my eight-year-old, and my 88-year-old dad and here it is almost Christmas. There were all kinds of people in the store and it was busy. I was shopping with my dad and all the sudden I realized he had left us. This is not a big concern, but slightly because I never know what we will end up doing so as we were shopping, and looking for dad, I find him, and this absolutely precious sales clerk (I think her name was Hailey) was taking him around the store, helping him find 2 pair of pajamas for my mother. She was very patiently waiting as he would find either a reason that it was not just perfect or it wasn't made quite right for mom. Not one time did she do anything less but to smile and try to find something that would suit him. The funny thing is my dad is very particular when it comes to shopping and it is very trying sometimes on your patience. But not one time did she do anything except encourage him that they would find the perfect pajamas for my mother. I don't know for sure how long she helped him but I know I was with him for about 15 minutes and they had been looking for quite a while before that. I just want to give a big shout out once again to Kohl's in Vincennes, IN. This is why I love shopping at Kohl's, Customer Service is number one! Merry Christmas!- not only Hayley was super sweet, but the manager at the front had chatted with my dad when he got tired of shopping while we were waiting and a very nice man named George waited on us so kindly! Customers aren't just coming in for one thing--they're browsing, exploring, and spending time going booth to booth. That creates more opportunities for all of us. Their meat counter/deli is an institution locally. I highly recommend their homemade sausage. It's all done there. Beautifully and simply packaged. The store has a historic feel. I can attest it looks just like I remember it in the 80s. And in the 80s it probably looked like it did in the 60s. Of course it's family owned and operated. The place is clean as a whistle, and the shelves are stocked. They actually still stock shelves here. They don't just roll out a pallet of boxes and leave it like they're feeding refugees. One word of warning. I've noticed this over the years. The ladies that do the checkout up front aren't always bubbling with excitement for you to be there. Don't expect much in terms of smiles or thank yous or you're welcomes. It's probably something leftover from their German ancestry. Most times I go through the line they don't say a word at all. But, I'm telling you, these are nice people. Don't take offense. It's just like, it's Poseyville, it's Saturday morning; let's all move along.

I asked them to call my clinic to verify the date it was to be filled, once the doctor verified that in fact I did need it filled that day, they still refused for no reason whatsoever. The pharmacist stated that she can refuse to fill any script for whatever reason she wants and that's why it wouldn't be filled. In other words, she hated admitting that she was wrong so much that she wanted to be petty. The tech also very loudly stated what medication it was & what it was for. Other customers could hear everything.

On that same day I got a call from Walgreens stating that I had a prescription ready for pick-up. There were 2 prescriptions called in. I knew one of them wasn't due until the next day. On Friday Jan. 17th, I went to Walgreens to pick up both prescriptions. The pharmacy tech that was working at 9:15a.m. was EXTREMELY rude and condescending. I said, "Yes, I am here to pick up a prescription." She said rudely, "Phone number?" I told her. She went and retrieved my prescription. "She said, "I have one ready." She clearly knew I had two prescriptions to pick up. I said, "When will the other prescription be ready?" She had her phone in her ear, and it appeared that she was ignoring the question. In about 60 seconds later and looking at her computer screen while speaking into her phone she said about 20 mins. I had know idea that she was talking to me. She handed me my first prescription and my change and said halfheartedly, "Thank You." I said, "Maim, I asked you a question." She said, "About 20 minutes!" I said, "Oh, you were talking to me? You were looking into your computer and talking into your phone." She gave me a dirty look and rolled her eyes. I pulled around the building and went in the front door and sat down in the pharmacy waiting chairs. She seen me, but would not look at me. Ten minutes later, she paged me throughout the whole store clearly knowing that I was sitting right there. After paying for my prescription, I handed her my Walgreens card and said, "Here you go, I won't be needing this any longer." She just looked at me, knowing that she had acted inappropriately. This was all do to my prescription being pain medicine. It is not for her to judge or stereotype me as a druggy. My doctor prescribed this medication for a reason. This woman would be terminated if I were her manager. I spend a lot of money at Walgreens, but now CVS will get my business. Too bad, soooo sad Walgreens. The woman had brown shoulder length hair, was tall and a little overweight. Stay away from her, she is not helpful, nor does she appreciate your business.
