The staff let us use this table for our gifts and cake.

Went for my mother's 75th birthday dinner. The staff was so accommodating and helpful with me setting up some decor for the party. The food is absolutely the best southern food you will have anywhere. The chicken livers were the best I've ever had. The ham was juicy and flavorful. The German potatoes are to die for.

A absolute must try!!!! The Logg Inn has been serving customers Since 1825! The place is historic, original and has the best Fried Chicken, Ham Steak and Roast Beef, mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables, dinner rolls and Fresh Baked Pies all served Family Style.

    Story of the Log Inn

Excellent service and the food was exceptional. We went with family style and had a wonderful meal for Father's Day. They have the best fried chicken.

Fried potatoes cooked perfectly with Chicken and sides.

Service was excellent with friendly staff. The parking lot was packed so you know thats a good indicator.. the restaurant was really clean and with an old barn and county vibe .. Ice cold beer every time and the fried chicken was really good with great sides and left overs . Was a 2 hour drive one way but worth it and meet a couple regulars from Illinois hope to see them on next trip .. PS don't be in a hurry it takes time to get in .. 4 .5 star out of 5

    Family style chicken heaven!

All the abundance and charm of a Sunday dinner at grandma's house in a historic setting. I only wish we had something similar to The Log Inn back home. Honestly, everything was over-the-top delicious! Thank you!

Make reservations if enough people in party. Food is top notch. Atmosphere A+. Servers on it. Very busy, but everyone is happy to be there.

They had good service, good food, and a great choice of decor. Recommend the salads, corn, and mashed potatoes!

Excellent food, dining experience and value. Family style sides. Choose your protein. Save room for desserts.

Way too crowded and waitress didn't come back much at all. Veggies tasted canned. Chicken was good, but there are better options.

I'd like to believe that there have been positives that have come out of the last year of…read morequarantine, isolation, social distancing, masks, and dealing with the pandemic. I think one of the positives has been a renewed emphasis on discovering and really supporting local. One of my discoveries during this time has been Monastery Baked Goods, a ministry of the Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand, Indiana offering baked goods that are sold in support of the ministries and mission of the Sisters of St. Benedict. If you've never been to the Ferdinand, Indiana area I regard it as a rather holy place. There's simply a sacred feeling being there and I've come across in my life a couple of the Sisters of St. Benedict including one teacher who was key in finding out how I learn best. She almost single-handedly guided me as I went from a C+ student in high school to a college valedictorian. So, when I discovered this way I could have tasty treats and support the Sisters of St. Benedict I was all about it! Monastery Baked Goods began as an outreach by the Sisters during Christkindlmarkt, an annual German festival held in Ferdinand. They started making and selling springerles, a German cookie. From there, they experimented and began making the almond-based almerles. They then began offering a cookie in honor of the 12th century mystic St. Hildegard. Simply Divine Bakery was formed, but in 2015 the name changed to Monastery Baked Goods as a way to truly identify a relationship with their monastery. They have an online gift shop that includes bourbon-soaked fruitcake, springerles, Hildegard cookies, St. Hildegard Crunch Mix, Hildegard mini-cookies, Simply Lemon cookies (these are wonderful), gingersnap cookies (these are wonderful), chocolate shortbread cookies, shortbread cookies, buttermint with chocolate cookies, prayerful pretzels (these are awesome), and a bunch of other options. They also offer gluten-free options and recently introduced mint julep cookies. They offer bundles and specialty options. They offer their products wholesale and in Indy you can get them at A Taste of Indiana at 65th and Binford. Prices vary, though I've found them incredibly reasonable and, of course, they also support a good cause. While many religious communities continue to suffer in terms of numbers, it seems like the Sisters of St. Benedict continue to do well. The Monastery Baked Goods website is a page on the Sisters website and it's inspiring to see new Sisters commit to monastic life and to see all the ministries of the Sisters of St. Benedict. I'm inspired by this ministry and I love the products. While I don't get to Ferdinand often, it's nice knowing that I can still support the ministry as I live only about 10 minutes from A Taste of Indiana and can pick up my Monastery Baked Goods there.
