A few weeks ago, a woman literally got mugged in the bathroom during my visit to this Walmart. This morning, as I was going through the self checkout, there was an employee very loudly saying very cruel things about poor people. She was saying to some customers, "If you don't have money to pay, don't come to my store." Imagine working at the trashiest Walmart in NorCal and shaming your customer base like that. Imagine thinking you have money because you work at Walmart in Rancho Cordova. I've been to a couple dozen Walmarts across the PNW over the past two years, and this is the only location where the hand soap in the women's restroom quite literally smells like cat urine. Store refused a return within their policy, for an unopened untouched item (huge bag of gummy bears). They gave a fake excuse of "the system doesn't give me the option" to return. I suspect the store manager here instructs staff to come up with BS to refuse returns here to avoid losses and scams. I think it says more about their store/clientele than anything. I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience on 11/15/2025 with a staff member named Lynda, who was working in the toy section. I kindly asked her to check the price of a toy so I could see whether it qualified for a price match. I explained that the item was listed as $12 online while the in-store price showed $30. Her response was unnecessarily rude from the start. Instead of explaining the price-matching policy calmly, she went into a condescending "explanation mode," making comments such as, "This is in-store shopping, that price is for online shopping," and then, loud enough for me to hear, "Why don't people just shop online?" She shook her head, clucked her tongue, and overall made me feel like my request was an inconvenience or something unreasonable. I kept myself quiet still. When she checked the price on her device, she spoke to me with irritation and said, "It's $7, why would you want to price match it?" in a tone that suggested I was out of my mind. I was simply trying to understand the price difference--there was no way for me to know it was $7 until she checked. Feeling disrespected and mad, I told her, "If you don't want to help, it's fine. I'll ask someone else." As she walked away, she continued making comments. I was frustrated and said loudly, "Can you be nicer? You are working in customer service." She then yelled back from two aisles away, "I showed you twice!". A couple nearby witnessed everything, she even told me, "Yeah, she is so rude," as I walked out of the aisle. Later, at checkout, I encountered Lynda again by coincidence, she needed to help her co-worker to scan my stuffs. I remained silent but she once again said to herself loud enough for everyone to hear: "It's $7, why price match $12?" in the same irritated tone. At that point, it was clear she was more interested in arguing than helping. I don't know what kind of day she was having, but her behavior was unprofessional and disrespectful. Asking for a price check or a price match is entirely reasonable, and Walmart has clear policies about matching prices shipped by Walmart. A simple, polite explanation would have solved everything. Instead, her attitude made the entire experience unnecessarily stressful and unpleasant. What funny is the back of the Walmart vest she is wearing, said "Happy to help". Obviously she was not happy at all! One customer like myself, may not make a financial difference to Walmart, but experiences like this are exactly what cause customers to take their business elsewhere. What a horrible Walmart. This is a prime example how Walmart punishes the good people. Everything is basically locked up. I mean everything. Even the stuff on clearance had a section that was locked up. The stuff that was locked up on clearance was travel size Tylenol and some Motrin. Really? It gets better. Bought a Nintendo Switch game and opened it 2 weeks later. (Because it was a gift) and the game wasn't it the box. Brought it back to the store, and had to bounce around different "managers" who clearly didn't know what they were talking about. . They told me they couldn't do the return. They made up some reasons on why they couldn't do it, on the spot and were all telling me different things that made no sense. If I buy a game from you that is locked up I shouldn't hope it's actually in the box and I shouldn't have to suffer not getting my money back for an issue on their end. Supposed managers handled the entire situation terribly and were very rude. I think his name was Robert. Another guy I don't remember the name but he was Asian and had glasses. You still like going to this Walmart but after today I won't be showing my face at this point. I'll be neither they had towels today. They were on special. That was five dollars and mistakenly picked up one that was six dollars. I told the clerk to take that one off and charge me for the five dollar one therefore my daughter will go and get it and then I can pay for it. I can have it paid for so when she comes, we can leave so I waited to decide until she came in the lady OK my daughter and I that She seen the towel that we paid for as we're walking off she decides she's gonna yell across the store like we took something I'm not on no type of assistance and I don't get anything and I don't need to steal. I tend to avoid this walmart, because it's always a mess. Anytime I go to the pet aisles, there seems to be something in the way... so it's good that I'm never in urgent need of cat food or litter, and also Pet Smart is way more accommodating. The layout of the store is very confusing. The grocery section bridges a gap around a corner that you might miss if you didnt know it was specifically there. So many things are locked up, so that also encourages me to shop elsewhere. What can I say about Walmart Supercenter? They have everything you need for your holiday shopping list, whether that be Ugly Christmas sweaters to attend that yearly party, fake snow and even shatter resistant ornaments for cat mom's whose fur babies think the Christmas tree is their new cat tree lol! On Saturday I came in to purchase a new water bottle for work to chase around tots all day lol and also get some much needed groceries for the week. I would highly recommend this location and I'll certainly be back when I'm in the area! While we were there my toddler got a surprise visit from Santa which she was really happy about, upon entering the store we had no idea they were doing santa photos in the store! :-) My shopping trip was successful and as always as with their other locations I have visited, the staff were friendly and I saved a bundle on my purchase! read more

Many people probably know what a bar crawl is and may even have participated. They are always fun right? Walmart crawls are the complete opposite of fun! This is the experience my mother put my dad and I through going to several Walmarts in one day, to search for a transport chair, because her current one had gotten too uncomfortable for her to use. Apparently she saw their ad in a flyer and decided we should try to buy a new one for her. When we entered the store, we went straight to the pharmacy where the wheel chairs were supposed to be on display. However, they had two chairs on the floor still in boxes. One said "do not sell. display only". The other one was not a transport chair. But we finally realized a display of the advertised chair was high above our heads. Too high for us to get a look at and see its measurements. Staff members nearby, including the pharmacist could not help us at all, because they were not aware or trained with knowledge about their inventory stats. Disappointed, we ended up completing our other required shopping, and departed to check out another Walmart store. To cut a long and boring story short, the other three Walmarts we had to check out, had none available either, including employees who didn't know anything about it! I am NEVER stepping foot into this Walmart again. I kindly asked one of the workers for assistance, an older black woman with no teeth, in getting something from one of their locked up cases and her response to me was "back up" and "there's buzzers in every aisle" and that I need to go ring it for her to come over. I was speechless at her lack of customer service skills and blatant rudeness. I proceeded to ring the "buzzer" she insisted i press and no one answered the call. As I was leaving about 8 minutes later after standing there like a fool, she comes parading down the aisle yelling "i'm coming". I responded with a glare. This place is ghetto beyond belief and the employees seem to be hardly trained. If Walmart is going to require their employees to unlock merchandise in every godamn aisle, they need to make sure that they have enough staffing and that they hire friendly people. read more

one of the worst walmart i have ever been into!!!! I WISH there was any other walmarts closer to my home so i can shop elsewhere. Everything about this place is wack! You wait hours for anyone to open locked items,,, you have to deal with very long lines because half the time there is barely any workers or the workers seem to disappear right when it gets busy!!! I see many going in and when im done shopping more than half the workers have left. the cashiers are rude, and have an attitude half the time. do NOT go in afternoon time because they are so much worse than the morning staff. the managers during the afternoon and night shift are very lazy!! customers waited in long lines while a group of workers sat and chat watching as customers were struggling and ready to leave.. when many customers asked for more cashiers on hand they said they couldn't help!!! the manager was on her phone chatting with other associates in the same spot she was when I first had stepped into the store.
