This is the worst Walmart I have ever been to. I try to avoid going there, but I had a $100 gift card, and this Walmart is right near my house, so. The store is not very clean, but my biggest issue is that "customer service" does not exist here. Everyone I have encountered have been rude and unprofessional, except for the Walmart greeter (a nice older man who wipes off the cart before giving it to you). No one at the checkout counter greets you, they simply ring up your items and totally ignore you. The gift card I received had some issues, it wouldn't scan, so the person at the counter had to get a supervisor to override the scan. I spent 10 minutes at the counter while they tried working out this problem, but was ignored the entire time. No "thanks for your patience" or anything. I almost feel like I am bothering them by being a customer. No communication, no friendly faces. The WORST. read more

This store is insane, it constantly looks loitered! does anyone work there? You are constantly fighting through the isles around the stockers that are out during the day at the busiest possible times and fighting around the Walmart workers that are shopping for the pick up from store customers, who seem to think they are actually customers too while shopping for an actual customer! its crazy. Then after you have dealt with all that there is a very rude lady that stops you at the door to check your receipt even if all your crap are in bags! The reviews are right on. This store is always dirty, never stocked & lets people live in the parking lot. Creeps me out. I have gone in 2x in the past 2 weeks looking for sonic toothbrush heads & they are always sold out. Out of Distilled water always!! I would not recommend this Walmart to anybody. The people that work here are extremely rude and uncaring. If you talk to management about a problem they act like they don't even care. Yet another disappointing experience at Rockwall Helmart . The doors are locked from the inside after I don't know what time . I found that out by opening one door and then not being able to open any more. Once again, all of the self checkout lines were closed. This time, I asked the manager why there were seven people waiting in one line when there were eight self-service lines available. She (he?) said that they had to close the self-service lines at night by law , well, the law must be different in Greenville Texas , 20 miles from here, where they keep the self service lines open when people need them the most, in the middle of the night, when there's only one cashier. I typically go to walmart just for the convenience of a one stop shop but after my trip this week I think walmart will be an emergency stop only. Baskets were everywhere in the parking lot. Some isles you could not drive down because of so many baskets. I went in looking to replace my 5 gallon water bottle. The machine that gives you tickets was out of order. When I asked the assistant store manager what the process was since the machine was not working she looked at me very dumbfounded and said she didn't know. Now tell me how you are going to be a manager and not know how things in your store works. The store is very poorly cleaned and often has a very fish like smell. In fact I think the only good thing about this store is the elderly greeters at the front of the store. read more

This review is for the bakery in Rockwall walmart. I went to get a pre made birthday cake for my mother in-law. To make it short the main sales clerk was rude and mean not only to me but the customer before me and believe it or not her own co workers! The only cakes they had were white sheet cakes with butter cream icing (it was 10 am on a sat). If she hates her job that much I know plenty of unemployed people that would love to have it!!! I don't suggest you use Walmart's delivery system. They use some low educated service called Door dash. The only thing this delivery service dashes to is incompetency, and they certainly don't dash to anything but the money they charge for they're incompetent service. I live about 1 mile from this Walmart store and just decided to pay for my order to be delivered instead of picked up. I got a notice that my order was on the way and a page to follow my delivery. I waited about 30 minutes and because I am so close I decided to check where my delivery was. The app showed the driver (Matt some idiot) on the other side of Rockwall. A few minutes later I get a notice that my order is about 1 minute away and about 1 minute later that the delivery has been left on my porch "Got to give him credit for silence though because I never heard him and the app showed his car still several blocks away". Back to the review; I couldn't understand why he didn't deliver my order first since I'm so close, but alas not a really big deal until I started to bring my groceries in. None of the items were from my order and almost everything were items I never use. Many attempts to contact customer service reps ended in reps answering who didn't understand the problem or couldn't help me. Some of the reps tried to transfer me with many disconnections along the way. Some actually got through but ended in wrong advice. One helpful individual told me I needed to contact door dash since they made the mistake. Sounded right to me so I did. The door dash operator told me there was nothing they could do because they were hired by Walmart. I told her I had already contacted Walmart and they directed me to her. Again she said they could do nothing. I asked to speak to a manager and she refused saying they could not help me. Eventually after me insisting, she said would connect me and put me on hold forever. After I came to my senses I hung up and called Walmart back. Again many unknowledgeable customer service reps and again I finally got connected to someone who said they would refund my money. At this point the charge is still on my credit card so I don't know if I've been refunded or not. I do know I didn't get my delivery. I hate to say I'm not going to buy from Walmart again because some of their prices are too good to abandon (Imperial Sugar 10lb for almost less that half the price at Kroger for instance) but I will never use their delivery as long as it's provided by door dash. The first time I go to the deli and found this day no slicing of meat and cheeses are done, they pre slice and zip lock in advance. I did not see a expiration date on the packages I checked. The next day at the Royse city store slicing was available. read more

I went to Walmart on interstate 30 this afternoon and checked out. Went to pay and the register wouldn't talk my money. The worker said it was a no cash register. NO PLACE WAS THERE WAS A SIGN POSTED THAT IT WAS A CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD ONLY. On September 28th, 2020 at about 12:10 P.M. I approached the magazine rack at the Walmart store in Rockwall, Texas. I was looking for a certain type of magazine and observed a young lady stocking new publications. She readily stepped aside and asked me if she could help me. When we couldn't find what I was looking for on the rack, she thoroughly searched the several boxes of new magazines trying to find it there. This young woman was a very delightful and helpful person. Her name was Kimberly Cunningham and she is a credit to the Walmart Store in Rockwall, Texas. I appreciated her courtesy and professionalism and contacted the assistant store manager (Pablo) to commend her. He suggested that I submit a commendation on line and I have done so. I was in and out sufficiently. Sales Associate, Kyler, in electronics department was extremely helpful and I found the DVDs and electronic cables I wanted to purchase. The store is clean, restrooms were clean and items were at a good price. I recommend Walmart for anyone pit- stopping in this area or live here. Let me start by saying, I stopped coming to this Walmart 8 months ago but I was forced to return by my wife's error. Needless to say, the Customer Service desk is STILL AND WILL ALWAYS BE A NIGHTMARE! Myself and the other 15 people should not have to wait 36 minutes to return a simple item. There are several issues with this Walmart that cause me to go somewhere else if I can. First, if your doctor calls in a prescription to their pharmacy, this place NEVER puts it on same day schedule. EVERY time I've had a prescription sent here, I've always had to call and tell them I need it the same day, not the next day after 1 or 2 pm. Plus they will usually have a long line and just one person working a register. Then the employees throughout the store are rude. Having worked at several retail businesses in the past, I was always taught to thank the customer for coming in, and for their business. The people here do not have the words "thank you" in their vocabulary. Out of habit, when I've paid and the clerk hands me my receipt I will tell them thank you. Most do not respond at all. some say "okay", but very, very seldom do I ever hear the words "thank you". You want to get a reaction from these people? Next time you do something you feel warrants a thank you from them, say "You're welcome". I usually get the deer in the headlights look. Once I was asked "for what?" but most times they won't say anything because they have no concept of gratitude They don't think about the fact that if it weren't for the customers, they wouldn't have a job. read more

It's common knowledge that Walmart sucks , but this one really sucks ! I'm telling you that this place has the worst customer service known to man. First of all, the people who go here are of a different cut. Even worse employees are even more trashy. I bought some iPhone card for my nephew a month earlier . It wasn't working so I called the customer service number on the card . They informed me that the card was not activated so I took the car back to Walmart to get it activated. The Rockwall Walmart is so awful. On a Saturday morning they had one cashier, in the speedy checkout lane. The Scan and Go lanes with the conveyor belt were closed. We had over $200 of groceries. I went to the "Not So Much" Customer Service Desk where 2 employees were chatting and asked if another lane could be opened as we had well over 20 items and people with smaller orders would have to wait. One said, rather flippantly, nope, the Scan and Go was the only other option. They didn't care if people had to wait. I suppose they are trying to phase out cashier positions to squeeze more profits. I truly need to rethink why I even shop there. read more

Rockwall Wal-Mart is my 'last resort store'. Going there is almost intolerable. There are NEVER enough cashiers available, and the employees are not well-trained. I am so disappointed in this store. There are always employees stocking in the middle of the aisles, even during peak hours. C'mon...it's open 24 hrs.....do the stocking in the overnight hours! This pharmacy has nothing going right for it. If your DR calls in your RX, unless it's for pain or an antibiotic, it will be filled the next day or even 2 days from then. And then they won't even call or tell you they can't or won't fill it. If you ask why they can't or won't fill it the pharmacy manager will say it's a maintenance medication and you won't need it for a day or so. If you press them they'll say they don't have it even when they've got bottles on their shelf of it. The management has said they will not deviate from maintenance meds WILL be filled overnight and not that day. No matter if your blood pressure is spiking or blood sugar is over 400, the manager has said to fill it the next day. Again it's management of the pharmacy that's the problem. I've had the best success with the technicians, but the pharmacists are horrible. And God forbid they don't have a medication. They will not call you or let you know they don't have it. It may take 5 days (I had a med called in Thursday morning and it wasn't ready until the next Tuesday) if it's a weekend to get (God forbid it's a blood pressure medication) but they will not call or let you know. I've heard from more than one person there that their manager Susan tells them not to call or talk to patients. If they need it they'll come for and complain is what she has said. And if your insurance has a problem? Oh heck. No one there has any idea other than Liz or Jessica to fix it. They are the only two people who seem to care or will call your insurance and fight for you. Especially for my test strips. They always seem to have new trainees who have no idea how to do anything and tell the patient to call Medicare when it's their fault because they are incompetent and don't know what they are doing. I stopped going here because they gave me the wrong medication. And they wouldn't own up to it. Don't go here. Seriously. read more

5 Stars For The Rockwall Store!! Well, I liked it! Came on here to write a positive review...thought I'd be a small voice in a sea of kudos for the Rockwall store! I simply cannot believe the other reviews are talking about the same place as the one I went to today. The greeter was actually helpful, the person in the paint section was knowledgeable and fast, the register clerk was so so sooo nice. The restrooms were clean and my 5 yr old and 3 yr old were actually able to get some good 'toy aisle time' before having to rush out to get some GermX like we''ve had to do at some other locations we've visited. read more

I'm never shopping at this Wal-Mart again. My brother-in-law stopped by there at 240pm on 5-2. They had 3 NES Classics in stock. The two guys in electronics and asst manager gave him the run around about not being able to sell them until 630am the following morning. He stopped by again at 430 thinking maybe they had set them out. Nope got the same answer not available until the next morning. I decided to stop by there at 745pm just to find out the asst manager Michael sold them at 530. This is just another example of employees hoarding the good stuff to sell to friends and family. Maybe if you planned better and weren't so rude you would receive the kind of service you expect. I can just picture the situation. I can only imagine what a bombastic buffoon you must have been. This Walmart is a disgrace. I totally avoid it or try to avoid it if at all possible. Go to Kroger or any other grocery store. I am currently standing in the check out line. There's only two lanes open on a Saturday morning at 10:50. It is always this way! That's why I never come here! The check out people are slow! The place is filthy. Going after about 8 in the evening will result in loooooooong checkout times. Two registers open is not enough for a town on this scale. It's dirty and the sales people don't really know anything, minus the really really nice guy in the food department. The shelves seem empty of popular items and always run out near the holidays...planning for those don't seem to be a priority. The only plus is the really nice guy in the food department that is cheery and smiling and very willing to show you where the items are that they have moved for the thousandth time, is that they have gotten a self check out section put in. It makes it much quicker to get through the lines and out of the store. I keep patiently waiting for a Super Kroger, or ANYTHING else, which I hope comes soon! :) read more
