I will never shop there again! I had to pickup a few groceries and a bottle of vodka. Got to the vodka and found all liquor all locked up in glass doors. Of course I had to ring for service waited over 15 min finally shows up gets what I want and said he had to carry it to cashier. This is so stupid on your part. Wine and beer is on normal shelf's. Which I do not see why. There are some very expensive wines and my vodka was 8$. If you find this OK then you should stop selling it and concentrate on betting marketing. I understand theft is a problem. Find a better security system. I will never come there again and many others say same. read more

Ok. It is pre-Christmas. Everybody is shopping; everybody is preparing. Was recently at this, my local, Walmart. Everything was fine overall. Shopping experience lived up to expectations. Etc, etc. So far so good. But the checkout was dismal. We all know they have switched over to primarily self checkout. Whatever. BUT -- l i n e s ? At self checkout? Early in the day! On a weekday? Both self checkout set ups with lines? And the kicker? The majority of the self checkouts were out of commission! For pre-Christmas shopping! If you're going to make us do our own checkout work -- then you need to have checkouts functioning and open, Walmart. This version was pathetic. Disrespectful and dismissive of your customers. First, if you are going to have a policy in which one one employee is required to run alcohol purchases from a locked cabinet to an assigned register, register 5 per that employee, you really should have an employee that is old enough to process that purchase rather than needing to call a lead cashier every several moments because the cashier is too young. Second, if for whatever reason you can not have an employee legally old enough at that register, then talk to the lead cashier, Kim, at the time we were there 6/11/2021, who doesn't have a rude, negative and snarky attitude toward customers when she is required to constantly return to register 5 to process alcohol purchases. If this is such a horrible issue for the lead cashier, Kim, to do her job, then perhaps she should find another one in which doesn't annoy her. And/or, have someone working the register in which other employees are required to bring alcohol to old enough to not have to call a lead cashier to process. This was such an inconvenience to us, the other 3 customers, 2 before us and 1 after us in line, to the cashier and clearly to the lead cashier, Kim, who made a point to show us how annoyed she was. I've been in many a WalMart over the years. They are fairly predictable. That is to say, they are all pretty much terrible. Staff can't help with anything. Stocking is messy. Store is chaos. This Walmart, though, easily the best I've been to. Got specific directions (broken down to the aisle and height and side) looking for a specific item in the clearance section. Great selection of alcohol and more. I never aim to come to Walmart, but if destiny insists, I will begrudgingly pick this one over others. read more

This Walmart has a great clearance selection in comparison to the nearby Beloit location. Workers are for the most part friendly. In comparison to other local locations this store has more actual cashiers working and more self checkouts however just as any Walmart these days most workers can be seen working as "security" standing at the self check outs and at the door making sure we as consumers did our "job" checking ourselves out . Larry and Irene are terrible at their jobs, didn't even try to help. Dismissed me off hand and rather lie about the inventory available rather then be helpful and make a sale. Avoid this location. I am keeping my word this time. I will not be going back to the Rockton IL Walmart store. They never have items in stock. Never have enough registers open. The cashiers are not trained how to properly bag. (Please please please dont put canned goods with my bread.) Employees that are picking out the items for ordered off the computer will run you down and then park in the middle of the isle so that you can not pass by. I had to wait in the check out line for someone to ring up a bottle of wine that by time I got home the ice cream was leaking. I would have selected a line with an adult cashier but did not see one. Worst Walmart I've ever been to. Employees were all rude and clueless. Wouldn't allow me to pick up an online order I'd already paid for and had a confirmation number for; wouldn't refund my purchase either because they "couldn't see it in the system". Wouldn't be a huge deal if it was a small purchase, but now I'm out nearly $700 while I wait for them to figure it out. I was just told to call 1-800-WALMART and that was also a joke. Spent 30 min on the phone to be told it was over an hour wait and they'd call me back. I never received a callback. I spoke to the Online Order Manager, Paul, he was just rude and condescending. Poorly managed store. Shelves are not well stocked. Not enough check out clerks. Too crowded during the day. Why don't they STOCK the shelves during late evening rather than during prime time during afternoon. Also too many Walmart workers filling pickup orders during prime time. read more

I absolutely hate Wal Mart. My blood begins to boil simply upon pulling into the parking lot. This feeling only gets worse when I go in. The pharmacy/ hygiene section is always a mad house with carts parked at the ends of aisles making it impossible to get though. The employees obviously don't want to he there they act like they don't want to help you. Today I went through the express line with 3 items and 1 guy in front of me with 4 bottles of the same spray paint product and a woman paying and I was in line for 10 minutes the cashier was going so slow!!!! They desperately need self check outs at both ends of the store if they're going to have the slowest workers at the registers. Don't waste your time here. Drive down to Schnucks or Target. read more

This store is the worst Walmart I have ever been to. The employees have no clue what their policies are. I purchased an item at a different store, and wanted to do an even exchange, with a receipt and they refused. I called the manager and he said the employee had no basis to refuse the return. The same person refused to do a transaction, citing policy, and guess what, wrong again. Best of the best working at this store. read more

Very rude employees. This Walmart ruined all Walmart visits for me. Staff doesn't care at all about their customers. I only shop here very rarely. The people working in the electronics department tonight were super patient and helpful with me and my friend getting a phone. They were very patient and polite with us. I appreciate that a lot. Also two other employees were around to point us in the right direction and they were more than kind. I'll also add the store was clean. I wish I got names but the only name I got was Herb. This is still my favorite Wal-Mart in the area. Mostly clean and cashiers are friendly. You still have the understaffed issues sometimes and those "Creatures of the Night!" Customers that you point and laugh at on various websites. One other note is they have a self-checkout section now. read more

Walmart needs a person that checks shelves more often!! In dairy Yogurt cups are so far back , you need six foot arm or a rake to get the ones you need. Same problem with Toilet Tissue aisle, and meat cooler where cold cuts are kept...Seniors, disabled and shorter people have to search for help, or another customer to help . Clerks are great, but not ENOUGH check outs open , 20 available registers with only FOUR in use , and most shoppers do not like or use the SELF CHECK OUTS. This review is on the store.....The only bad thing I have to say is a few times iv called at night(work from 6:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. so im up awkward hours ) locate and price items before i drove down there and got the feeling they didn't actually look for my item here's my last encounter with them. I asked how much the denatured alcohol was (for cleaning I remind you) he began to tell me how they stopped selling alcohol already. It baffled and blew my mind at how ill educated this man was, but I didn't say anything and explained it would probably be back by the spray paint he said he'd go check i sat on hold for almost 15 mins to say it was out of stock, not that he couldn't find it but that it was out of stock. So I drove up there and it was there 4 cans. So I called again while I was there and asked the same guy to check again and I watched him put me on hold and stand there for 3 mins and come back to the phone and tell me it was again out of stock. walked by on the phone still connected to him showed him the can (still walking) said thanks and hung up walking out.. This review is on the automotive department.....Mechanics are only good depending who you get. 1/3 times iv went there they forgot to put my oil filter on tight so it fell off on the way home plus its expensive 45$ is outrageous. Did you know that a box can say nothing about being none refundable, but the Walmart receipt at the end can? Did you also know that the manager in training Swill not help you out and doesn't care and won't even tell you who to call? You have to ask them 3-4 times to give you a number and not tell you there closed. If you are a 2nd shift worker, you will be a 2nd class citizen at this Walmart. Imagine how much fun it is to work a shift, come to Wal-Mart at 10pm, and learn that you now have to checkout your own groceries. I'm sorry, I didn't realize there were a lack of workers in the area to check out my groceries. It's hard enough finding items in their correct spot with a correct price tag, but then to have to manually compute produce, constantly tell their machines I don't want to bag this item because i have a full load of groceries, and, quite frankly, your tiny section isn't designed to hold what I buy. What's it cost 15 bucks an hour for a cashier? I guess the removal of greeters saving them 48 man hours didn't save them enough money ,so they needed to put 1 person on 7 self-checkouts. read more
