Hate this store I try everything to just drive 2 hours to a better walmart. This walmart is always out of what you need and a lot of the staff are rude. They make it so you have to check yourself out and then chase you out the door to accuse you of stealing. And then get in your face and yell at you that they aren't yelling at you. When in fact they did yell at you and chase you out the door all while you were on an important phone call while trying to run errands and when your trying to find your recipt and can't find which bag you put it in they say sorry I'm just trying to do my job and watch the door all in which if that was the case they would have been there be start with and wouldn't have let me get out of the doors. read more

The Walmart #1149 Safford Store leaves a lot to be desired. Usually only 1-3 Registers open, stood in line 40 Minutes just to check out. it's sad when you shop for 20 minutes and it takes 40 minutes to check out. Secondly while your trying to shop the amount of Walmart employees who do the shopping for others, are rude and constantly in your way blocking the entire Aisle. I called into Walmart regarding a book and if they had it in store.had to call three times before getting anywhere. In one call I was transferred seven times with nothing more than a answer and hold on let me transfer you over and over then I got to customer service and I was on hold for half an hour before speaking to a woman. She was extremely rude and put me on hold again then told me they didn't have it. read more

It has been two months now and the management of this store has not figured out how to get coin change for this store. All the self-service check-outs are set to cards only. They only have two to three cashiers available for cash paying customers with 30-60 minute lines. They have signs saying that there is a national coin shortage yet no other store in the community has this issue. read more

This is a clean and well run establishment, it seems to be doing well. Granted it is one of the only places to shop in this small town. They have a decent selection of merchandise and the prices are your typical Walmart prices. read more

I want to rate it higher because the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, it is rare that I able able to purchase everything I am going for due to outs on the shelf (a common phrase from employees is, "huh, the computer says we have it."). The in-store McDonalds closed monthly ago and there is still not a a replacement cafe/snack bar. Prices are commonly missing. The self-checkouts have made paying much faster, but if you need to go through a regular register, you really miss McDonalds, because there will be enough time for dinner. read more

This store is usually dirty. Half the time their self check outs usually take either card or cash so you have to pay attention. Bathrooms are always disgusting. Their produce sometimes reeks of rotten food and has fruit flies. The cashiers aren't very friendly. read more

They don't care about their employees or their customers they just hand out in clusters and avoid helping. I have been on hold for 5 minutes trying to get hold of a manager. My brother that works for Wal-Mart is in ICU and can not report he can't come to work and you are correct they don't care and he is most loyal to the company but because he is elderly and and Apache Indian they treat him like trash! Flithy parking lot. Flithy store. Limited selection on everything. Lots of people walking around doing nothing. Cashiers are slow, wipe there nose, cough without covering there mouth ... just gross! I am usually a big fan of WalMart because its a "one stop shop" however I take exception with this store. It's nothing impressive, but decent enough. I try not to go to Walmart too often, but when I do come here, I find everything I need easily and can usually get through checkouts quickly. It's pretty busy most of the time, but that's pretty typical for Walmarts everywhere, I think. I'll come here anytime I need to. read more

The cleanest and best organized Wal-Marts I've visited. Just can't give 5 stars because I'm not convinced the a Wal-Mart is good for ANY community. There are lots of empty store fronts in downtown Safford. This Walmart is not well stocked. I always leave without things I was trying to get. The grocery pickup is a godsend for this area. BUT is needs more then one staff member loaning cars. The one employee is over loaded with work and has to be in the hot sun and deal with upset customers. My pickup was 45 minutes behind I sat in the car with my 4 kids and watched one employee try to get to the 8 cars that where sitting there. I shouldn't have to sit there for 45 minutes just because Walmart in understaffing grocery pickup. Fix that please! Also this goes back to Walmart not being stocked well.. my grocery pickup is always being substituted so I started clicking the option to not substitute and guess what? I am always missing a lot of things. During busy times at Walmart there is hardly anyone at registers and I have a big family going to the self checkout it terrible. All staff I've encountered have been very friendly. read more

I mean. It's a Walmart. So, out of twenty check out lanes there's like 2 open and the self checkouts are usually broken and only take either card or cash- never both. Bathrooms have that lingering odor of nastiness and none of the workers really want to be there. But it gets the job done and the shelves are stocked so that's nice. read more

Personnel who answer the phone and communicate with the general public should know the hours of operation for the store pharmacy. As sick as I am, I do not feel like waiting an hour longer for the pharmacy to open. Otherwise, store is generally clean and organized. Not unexpectedly, there are a number of shelf gaps in the cold and flu section where other shoppers have depleted the inventory and the holiday clearance section is messy. Store personnel (with the exception of the individual who provided blatantly incorrect information) are generally helpful. read more
