I like this walmart, it's close to home and the parking lot is big enough that it's never full. From my experience, I have had good interactions with the workers. Most recently I spoke to Marisol(Maribel?) at the self check out. She not only helped me by doing her usual job duties, but I asked for her personal opinion on one of my items and she responded and then recommended something else I hadn't even thought about. I appreciate her honesty and help. Additionally, I had a small interaction with the woman at the Garden section. I was looking for a shopping cart and she didn't see any in the area, so she went outside and brought one for me. I appreciate employees that go out of their way to help. read more

I am hardly Walmart's desired demographic since I spend $610 a year at Sephora on various elixirs and potions to only look as bad as half of a Gollum at this point in my 40s. But this was my first time in a Walmart in over a decade. The little I knew about Walmart from the news is you never use self check out since you can be accused of stealing very easily if the robots don't like the cut of your jib, so I had to wait for a human at the register. I have no idea why they have 30+ registers and like 2 human cashiers. They could use that floorspace for something else rather than registers collecting cobwebs since they have nobody to work them. I was here fresh off of a very good day at Six Flags with my favourites Poltergeist and Superman both operational (which are almost always broken down and/or not sufficiently staffed and thus closed) so I had maximum fun getting to do both, and finding out how easily I bruise on blood thinners when I got thrown around in my seat like a little rag doll on Wonder Woman, as I would expect nothing less from a big lady like that. Whilst in the park I spotted one colourful shirt I really liked over and over--and then googled where to find it, surprised to see it was a Walmart exclusive--so I resolved to join the party and spread the shirt's joy beyond San Antonio. The webpage told me this location had my size in stock if I wanted to come pick it up rather than get it shipped. When I arrived at this store it turns out they had two of my size in stock, so this was either a popular size nearly sold out or it was a size they did not stock since they did not think anyone would want. The first had a small stain on the inside of the neck line. Since it was on the inside portion of the shirt I was still considering it since only I would know about it if it did not come off in the wash, and I hoped yonder mystery stain would come off in the wash. Then I pulled out the only other option and it had a major stain on the exterior portion near the neck so everyone would see it, so I had to put it back in the pile of one. What to heck Walmart, learn some quality control and/or quality assurance. Your visual merchandisers should not be putting out products that are clearly ruined. I get that this is Walmart and not lulu, but still, have some pride in what you sell. It cost less than a sawbuck after tax and the shirt made me happy even if it did come slightly soiled as a free in-store personalization, so I still purchased it to commemorate my very good day in the Six Flags, and now I have a gently stained shirt I can wear the next time I volunteer at the Food Bank where I obtain enough karma for volunteering I feel less-bad about paying slightly extra to skip the lines in the occasional theme park's doorsteps I darken when I have time to live my best ongoing midlife crisis/manchild life. read more

As a customer, it's really disappointing to see how associates are treated in this deli at this Walmart. The environment feels disrespectful and unprofessional, and employees don't seem to be treated fairly. Ordered a printer for home delivery $47 turned into 70. They sent a returned item with nothing but a printer. Took 4 people to figure it out 3 supervisors thinking I was trying to rip them off. The only one on my side was the girl working at the time. Ordered the printer cause other companies want you to do the work in online returns well Walmart is one of them. Only got 47 back delivery and tip that they make you give cannot complete the order without a tip and 4 dollars is the lowest and the driver only gets a portion lol. The new WalMart Supercenter in the Woodlawn Lake neighborhood. The city improved the entire Woodlawn road from I-10 to Bandera to ensure a safe and scenic trip to the store. This Walmart offers groceries, automotive products and services, plus a large variety in department ware. They are very clean, sometimes too crowded on weekends but a pleasure to shop there at any hour. Many restaurants are near there to enjoy breakfast and lunch. But Walmart opens at 6am to begin shopping before the crowds and hot sun bears down on the day. They have a beautifully large garden center that is a real treat to just sit out there on the patio furniture. read more

depending on where the item is place you could end up accidentally buying the wrong one and paying more than you wanted to because it was overstocked or careless placed into the next section of cheaper items you originally intended to buy. this place is only good for a few things here and there and you might get to see beautiful customers or employees which only help the situation in other ways the place wouldn't normally do business in. Wow! This Walmart has been open for almost a year, and by far it is my favorite one in the city. I live about 3 min from another Walmart but I hate that one. It's always crowded, people seem to be more rude over there (not just the staff), items are everywhere, but, this Walmart is opposite of all that. This Walmart is pretty spacious, everything isn't crammed together, and the isles are wide enough to accommodate a busy Saturday. It's not loud in here at all, I can shop for my groceries in peace. The staff is very proactive, especially for a Walmart, they seem to have trained this batch of employees very good! They are knowledgeable, a first for the mart. I don't see this place going downhill pretty soon, I really hope it doesn't! It's hard to find a decent Walmart in this world. Oh yeah, they have a Subway too. I haven't ate there yet, but it looks pretty clean and they have the full Subway menu from what I have seen. read more

It is a great new addition to our neighborhood. The only complaint is that I took my car in for an oil change and the rep that took the car assessment would not honor the on-line price for the oil change. He charged me a higher price than the on-line price I had copied and showed him. He stated the on-line price I had, had expired. However there was no expiration price on the on-line ad! I always took my car in to the Walmart on N. W. 410 store and they never had a problem with the price quoted on-line. They always honored the on-line price and also competitors prices. I suppose I will have to take my car back to the N. W. 410 store for auto care. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about their store and products; groceries, meats, and produce are always fresh. The bakery is well stocked and they can whip you up an excellent and tasty cake for any occasion. I love the Sticky butter cake....YUM! My 7 year old and I went in one morning before school as she needed snacks and a donation for school and I also needed to get additional money to pay for a Christmas T-shirt at school (yes, that time of year). I went through the self check out as there were no other open registers that I could see at that time of morning. Payed for items and received cash back. I noticed that the cash was dispensed only in large bills, so I asked the lady at the area if I could ask her to break the $20. At the time of my asking she had been approached by another female employee who walked after hearing my question and with a tone and dismissive look, stated we can't open the register unless she buys something. I asked the lady who was in charge of this area another question, "well, as I have just purchased $30 worth of items, and I don't really need anything else, Can I return something and re-pay for it?" (Apparently I surprised myself at that grand idea) The lady yelled out to the other who was a distance away now about to enter...you guessed it, "customer service". The question was asked and the other responded "that's fine, I'll do it." I was sent to "customer service." As we approached the desk my daughter commented why is the lady so mad? (As she was not smiling and had the same dismissive tone and did not engage in any type of conversation, friendly or otherwise.) I attempted to call her attention to her disconnect and said, "it is a new day, it's ok to smile!" Laugh laugh...but no , continued transaction and did not speak. Handed me receipt and item that I think she returned and recharged? Not quite sure honestly...was given change that I requested, and my daughter and I left having a conversation about "customer service" and the true meaning of it. Returned a few days later to pick up another couple of items, and my daughter noticed the same lady again walking to "customer service" and said, "there's that angry lady." I really like this Walmart because it's close by but unfortunately, I'm just very disappointed because there is very bad customer service here! I rarely ask for help but when I do , 95% of the time I get and unpleasant experience. I had to make a visit this afternoon around 1. I walked in and the young man was helping a older gentleman with a tire . He asks do you need help with a tire as well . I told him yes and he said I'll be right with you "right after I'm done with him."AFTER HIM HE PUT TWO OTHER CUSTOMERS (that walked in 5 min after I was there)BEFORE ME . A third walked in and finally he said to the other , I'll be right with you and finally took care of me after about a ten minute wait . Another incident a lady was on her phone while helping me . And then finally decided to put it away . Another I asked for help in the baby section, a employee went to look for the person who was in charge of that area. I waited about 15 minutes. I walked close by aisles to find some one and it just so happened that the lady working the baby area was talking with another employee just hanging out. When I asked her for help and that I sent someone to help me in baby area , she was like I know I was coming. I was checking out in the self checkout and wanted to cancel a few items,I know that it pops up on screen for the one in charge of that area , well the lady walked up close , didn't ask HOW MAY I HELP YOU , what is it you would like to cancel, very rudely , she approached me like I was a suspect , I think you got the idea . Very bad customer service . One last thing , us customers shouldn't have to hear " this is not my area, so I can't really help you?" I worked in retail for 3 years !! Loved it . Love working with ppl. Regardless if I was not in my main area , I made sure to help the customer, and if I didn't know the answer, I figured it out and made sure they left happy. This Walmart is the worst because there AC seems not to be working it is always extremely hot in the store. All of the makeup and cheap nail products are also locked up. There is only one attendant in the makeup Department which makes shopping they're very stressful. I recommend going to a different Walmart who's air conditioning works and has more than one attendant to help you in the makeup Department if everything is locked. read more
