Costco is always great, but overwhelmingly crazy at all times. Generally speaking, they are well stocked, have a nice variety, excellent pricing, plentiful parking, and a crazy busy gas station. I suppose the self scan as you walk in is good. Self checkout usually runs quick and smoothly. I don't know why they don't have a self scan to check your groceries against your receipt on the way out. That's where the lines back up. The food court would be my main complaint. It makes no sense. You have to order at the kiosk; there's no convenient place to wait; if you order in advance by phone you have to ask someone about your order and it always feels like your interrupting. One time I ordered pizza for a party by phone and even I got to the kiosk to pay, the pizza was out of stock. It was confusing and added an additional challenge, but I got my order. Obviously, that's not a deterrent and I'll probably come back for other party needs. read more

Staff is great here at the checkout, they get you moving quick at the self checkout! Mondays and weekends tend to be the busiest days. This is my go-to spot for household items in bulk. Frozen groceries here I think are some of the best deals you can find. Also, keep in mind the gas station here is busy, but the gas is cheap for members. Not all Costcos in town have gas. This location one is the biggest and most trafficked in the area, so budget a couple hours if you have a full cart or two planned on your visit! read more

Just a quick update. I visited on Tuesday of this week for a late 1 p.m. lunch at the food court, gas, and tire maintenance. Food court food service was incredibly fast, within 1 to 2 minutes for both items ordered. Everything was delicious. The only problem is the reduced seating at this location. There are only about 9 tables, which meant I had to share a table with a very kind couple that took pity on me. The tire pumps were a slightly different story. One of the two pumps was out of service which caused an unexpected delay. And the remaining pump was not delivering confident tire pressures. So this part of my quest was not as productive as it could have been. Gas is at least 6 cents cheaper here than elsewhere nearby, but the lines are long and move slowly. I'd still recommend this location, assuming they fix the tire pumps and you go sometime other than lunch time for the food court. read more

I am here so often that I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a fan of Costco. I'm a sucker for all things Kirkland and can (happily) spend hours shopping here. In addition to their gas station (#1), I'm essentially giving Costco my hard earned money every few days. This Costco is busy nearly every day. I've been told that Tuesday evenings are the best time to go per a Costco employee but I've rarely come here when it wasn't a zoo of people. The lines can get long at times and the parking lot gets full, but thankfully the wait is never too long. Most of the workers I've encountered are nice people. They've been good about helping me find obscure items and are pretty patient with returns. Though the pandemic is still raging on in Texas, they've been good about spraying down each shopping cart and are extra good about getting them back from the lot. The food court isn't much to look at. The seating is somewhat limited and it's often full of folks who just looking to relax after a big purchase. They've resumed bathroom access, which is always clutch. And their electronics are always a solid deal all around. And lastly, the 5th star goes to the fact they sell Kirkland cold brew. It sounds ridiculous, but I haven't found it in any Costco in forever. I love Costco. We feel safe every time we come here. I love the different variety of foods: ethnic, keto, allergen friendly, and even the unhealthy food stuff. The store is always clean, every single time we come, even the bathrooms. My favorite thing of all though is their food. Pizza, hotdogs, and even those yummy chicken logs (whatever they're called). Well this is a first. Tried to purchased a tent today as photographed. When it rang up it rang up twice the size the price. The cashier and other Costco employee had no question and was about adjust the price then this unidentified employee came in dismissed my claim. Went back fixed the pricing and said they cannot help it if they sell out or make an error. I asked if they had the tent that was that price and he dismissed my request. When I pressed the issue he said they had one in stock and it probably sold...even though I was there within an hour of opening. This guy was rude and dismissive and when I went i attempted to take a photo. He quickly ran off. Also Costco has no way to submit a customer complaint online. Very strange. read more

Is Costco like the best place on earth?! I didn't really care much about Costco until I had a baby. Since then I am a truly believer of their Kirkland products and their amazing return policy. They truly earned a 5-star review last month when I had to return like 6 unopened bottles of baby formula. Unfortunately there was a huge recall with Similac baby formula and all the baby food I had was part of it. The staff was really helpful and took all my formula back with no issues. Because of this same issue, I had to purchase another brand of baby food, and long story short I had to return that one as well, and they took it even if the bottles were already opened. Besides my long story about baby formula, their Kirkland diapers are freaking amazing! They are by far one of my favorite baby diapers. They also carry Huggies diapers, and they have them on discount at least once a month. Their baby wipes are also amazing, and a really good size. Love you Costco! read more

Who doesn't like to go treasure hunting at Costco? It's always interesting to see what new stuff they have for you to explore. Although this is not my usual Costco, I do find myself in this store often. It's different from my usual Costco in that is has an attached gas station. As gas prices continue to skyrocket, it's nice to know you can get the best price available. As busy as Costco stores are, I find this one to be even more crowded. That crowded feeling starts in finding a parking place and continues to the lines getting into the store. Usually, Costco stores are well stocked. However, I have been seeing out of stocks a lot more as the pandemic continues to have a negative impact. The store does its best, but some things they have no control over. (While other area businesses had same model at a slightly lower price, Costco's price included 2 years tech service and longer warranty period). Once Nicholas knew I didn't need a computer for gaming, watching movies / videos, etc, he had a conversation with Briana. My experience today was awful at the tire shop. Marcus Martinez, tried to remove our warranty off from our tires, claiming we bought the vehicle which is incorrect we've had this vehicle and have never sold it to anyone else and where not trying to transfer the warranty either. since he was unsuccessful he still managed to charge us for a new tire which our tire still had 60% of its life and had always brought it in for tire rotation etc. we where discounted 50% off from what we purchased it for, but charged the new tire rate plus installation . All I could say it doesn't all sound pretty when they tell you everything is under warranty because it won't be. They will make up any excuse to charge you. I will never ever recommend anyone to come purchase tires here. read more

I got two ice creams and requested another empty cup in order to share with my Papa. The first employee was reaching for the cup and the second employee butted in, and refused to give me the cup... the first employee was polite and stated "We are too busy to argue right now." Please learn from my mistake. Do not purchase tires from Costco. They do not honor even the manufacturer warranty. I got a nail in my sidewall. They wouldn't warranty it. Although Will failed to explain to me how a road hazard is not covered under their road hazard warranty. At one point Will was talking about tread life. How does that relate to the sidewall? My question was avoided rather than answered. Then Will had to "show me" and hold my car while he went to the concessions stand to get the $1.50 hot dog. Thanks for wasting my time Will. You illustrated how mature you are and how this Costco location regards its customers. I feel Costco used to be the good guys of large warehouse stores. It seems more and more like they are just turning corporate. While Sam's club is offering more customer service and convenience, like scan and go. Sam's Club also answers their phones. I spent 20 minutes yesterday trying to get the tire center to actually get on the phone. When they did I told them I would have to drive over three hours on a donut, they assured me my tire was in stock and a nail in the side wall was covered. They also said if I didn't come it would be a week to week and a half 'til I could get in again. Needless to say I'm having the worst buyers remorse, perhaps I should have gone to Sam's Club or Discount Tire for my very expensive brand new set of 4 tires. Lesson learned read more

Always crowded. It's a Costco so the quality is first rate. Good selections and just like every Costco the service and reliability is excellent. During the recent Jiff Peanut Butter recall they gave us a call to tell us not to eat the stuff and return it to the store for a full refund. That's above and beyond service in my book. Costco is Costco & this one is conveniently located just off of I-10. As my household only consists of 2 adults (myself & my bf), we don't shop here very often but there are certain items here we just love so we still make the trip (the giant box of Hello Panda cookies, Nongshim udon, big bags of rice, their fresh muffins, Kirkland vanilla soy milk, bulk meats to freeze). Costco was also my go-to when we first moved into our apartment & had to stock our entire pantry & fridge. The only negative thing I can say is I wish there was a location closer to me. There is a sign advertising a new location coming soon at Dove Creek which is about 15mins away so we're excited for that! read more

This is the first Costco that we went to when we moved to San Antonio. We like this location because it's easy to get to and has a gas station. There never seems to be too long of lines whenever we go get gas from this location. There is ample parking and the store is pretty clean and organized. The employees are friendly and helpful. It's easy to find the items that you need at this store. There never seems to be huge lines, and if there are, they move fairly quick. The lines aren't disorganized and people can maneuver around those that are in line. It's also pretty easy to get through the different aisles without much difficulty. We have been able to find all the items that we need while we shop here. read more
