This Walmart, which opened several years ago, is a huge improvement from the store it replaced a few miles south off Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. Regardless, their grocery department is still subpar compared to its local competition. They offer very little natural or organic type foods and the quality of their produce and perishable products in general are substandard. Walmart fills a retail niche in most communities, but they need to understand the American shopper always isn't concerned with the bottom line. read more

I loove this walmart. Besides some interesting characters that walk through, this walmart is as good as it gets. I give it 4 stars because it has a wide variety of regular and organic foods. I have been to many walmarts including different states and the Organic section is by far the best! The only thing I don't like is the long lines on the weekends but what can you expect. When I'm feeling lucky, and I need to go grocery shopping, this is the only Wal-Mart I will go to. The employees are friendly, it is not a nuthouse (like most Wal-Marts), and (surprise surprise) it's clean! They serve produce, have a deli, serve meats and a full range of grocery. The next best thing about them is that their other portions of their store, like clothing and electronics are actually neat and organized. Not sure what the other reviewers are referring to in their reviews. But let's be realistic people, this is a Wal-Mart! Ahhhh....my local Walmart. The location is great. There is a Sam's Club, Lowe's, Kohl's, Chick-fil-a, etc all in the same shopping center. Getting in and out of the parking area can be a pain during peak hours. The store is organized and usually well stocked. Some employees are more friendly than others. The grocery section is huge while the other areas seem small and squished together. It takes me a while to find what I want, but it gets the job done. read more

The one convenient place to me that carries Sports Illustrated!!!! That is very important when your team in going to be in the Superbowl. In all seriousness, I do like this place - it has just about everything that you'd want, and their prices are less than you find in the grocery store, or drug store. It is great having a Walmart supercenter nearby since it is 24 hours and a convenience when you need to get something in an emergency. The food/produce there is not that great since I feel it isn't really that fresh as compared to the Shopper supermarket right across the street. I got an oil change on my car and drove from Maryland to Texas the next day. When I got to Texas I saw oil flowing under my car. I took it right away to an oil exchange place and they told me whoever did my oil change never tightened the oil filter. I drove 1400 miles, lost 2 quarts of oil, and had my car overheat a few times all because someone couldn't do one simple step to tightened the oil filter. My car has 45000 miles on a 2013 and has NEVER leaked anything until this point. I should have learned my lesson when I took my 2009 Charger there when they left oil stains on my ceiling, steering wheel and floormats. STAY AWAY from this place, save your money and go to an oil depot and get it done right. Walmart oil and tire center has screwed us over so many times over the past 8 years. read more

I need tires and found them on Walmart website, I called about 8 am to make sure they had them. He says yea I think we have them but I would have to check, he didn't. I asked how long it would take to install the tires. He said 4 hours, we only have one mechanic working. And its first come first serve. One of the restrooms is closed due to construction. I was using the bathroom along with 2 other woman and 3 children after 1 woman and kids left the janitor kept clapping and making comments because he wanted to clean the restroom that very moment... He didn't realize i was not the only woman in the restroom. When I tried to exit the bathroom 1 minute after the other lady he had the gate closed and would not let me out... I didn't feel well and asked him to let me out he acted like he didn't her me. I said you are a real Asshole clapping and harassing me. He said he claps at his fellow employees all the time... Terrible ! As always! I pray Target goes 24 hours! I had no other choice due to my work schedule and I should have went without! Numerous employees outside the front of the store on break smoking , sitting in motorized handicapped carts , more outside than inside. 2 registers opened , just two , 15 ppl in each, full carts no self check outs open... the two cashiers have no sense of urgency , can't blame them , they move as fast as they get paid.... literally. I work 5 mins away and live 2 mins away but this will take an hour and a half every trip! Children walking out of the store into clouds of smoke.... a cop guarding the door because ppl will walk out because paying for their things is more difficult than hitting the lottery. Sad sad sad business practice. As I stand in line writing this review my phone timer is now at 19 mins 3 ppl ahead of me... easy 35 mins in line I bet. It's one of the best places to come if you are a do it yourself kind of guy! I come here to get filters to our ac systems to find tools when I have a special project, I also come here every spring to get all the material and plants for our garden. This store simply have everything you may need under one roof, store is well kept and the store is fairly modern and new. The reason I gave this store 3 stars is because I overheard an employee at the return desk make some rude comments to one of the customers trying to return an item they didn't like. The item was returned but the employee was loud and made improper comments in front of other shoppers. I am sure it was not store policy but they should pay better attention as to whom they hire to work I the return desk. read more

This super center Walmart is the newest addition to the Glen Burnie area, but the address says Severn, so it must be right at the line. In any case, this place is a great place to go if you are on a tight budget. It has all the things a regular walmart has plus an entire grocery store as well. So, if you want a one stop place that saves you time, gas and money, it is worth the trip. I really find the prices for the inside food isles are priced much less than regular grocery stores and they have a very large selection as well. The seafood department is not that great, and the meat and produce departments are average. The biggest savings come from the household supplies, drug store items, and the inside food isles. You do have to be careful to not stray off and do some impulse buying ( which defeats the purpose of saving money). Another thing about this Walmart is that is very well kept, and stocked and best of all, it has a whole lot of registers with people actually working, so there is not any long waits, ( that's different..and appreciated). There is ample parking, although the parking lot could have be designed better ( it has one way aisles). Other than that, it may look very crowded on the outside, but there is plenty of room inside and plenty cashiers that are ready to check you out. So, if you have nothing against going to Walmart, than I would recommend this store highly. read more

Update: Received a call from the location's Assistant Manager. She just made it worse, as she had nothing but excuses for this terrible policy. Rather than being empathetic or offering a true apology, all I received was an, "I'm sorry you feel that way." They offered nothing to make it right, and refused to offer a true apology. Hmmm....well I never expect anything too much from Wal-Mart. However, this one is especially bad or worse than other ones. For instance, don't attempt this place in the morning especially early, unless you have lots of extra time. When you go in about 5 a.m. there's more employees outside smoking and hanging out than what's actually in the store working. You have to walk through a smoke cloud to enter. Also the place looks like Hurricane Sandy went through it, on a good day. I understand they have to restock. However, it's almost as if they go out of their way to block aisles and sections people need to get through...REALLY? There's no hand carts ever in the front and the parking lots are filthy, as is the front of the store. Trash is usually blowing around like tumbleweed. Also in the early a.m. look for one checkout line open. You are usually searching for the ONE person who's supposed to be checking out your stuff, as they are off daydreaming somewhere. All in all, this is a Wal-Mart that's much worse than others and desperately needs a new manager or staff. read more

I went to the portrait studio at this walmart today to have family portraits done and I must say that it was the best picture experience I have ever had they were so polite,friendly,and just over all amazing my son is 6 months old and Danielle she was the associate that took our photos was so patient and waited for the right moment our pictures turned out amazing we were not rushed in anyway she always called us by our name and she just overall is amazing the pricing is very reasonable I can not wait until my next session Danielle Thank You for everything.You must get your Portraits done here read more

Why I keep forgetting that I loathe Wally World is beyond me. I've been to this 3 times in the past week and each time I leave.. I'm pissed.. Anxious while I shop.. Dodging more people then I care to for a leisurely trip out doing errands. No one in this joint likes their job and 2 out of the 3 cashiers actually said it to other coworkers. I got chewed out for having 22 items in a 20 item or less line. Figured out that I had 2 onions loose and not in a bag. The lady just made me feel like shit during the whole transaction. The look on her face was pure misery. My last checker "Morgan on 1 checkout" was just cursing up a storm today.. Telling her coworker how sick he was and wasn't able to take her medicine but she came in anyways and that the store was "to shit".. She didn't even are that I could hear everything.. She wasn't hiding it. Everyone.. Flipping miserable. Just quit or quit bitching! I will never come here.. I will go to 3 different stores from now on to get what I need an willing to pay more for a better experience. I hate Wal-Mart! read more

I just went to this horrible location! Stood I like for a oil change. No one greeted me said anything . The manager comes up eventually with a imbecile of a cashier and all she go is ring out people and the other people who has been there since I came I was directed to go to his like and he is there looking like a fool on the phone talking about absolutely nothing and continues his phone conversation without even looking up to greet me or tell me to hold a moment or anything . This is one of the worst walmarts I've ever been to. And that's saying a lot. They are CONSTANTLY out of stock of numerous items--they must restock once a month, if that. There is nothing more annoying than forcing yourself to go suffer at walmart, only for them to be out of multiple, commonly used items. No other store has this problem to this magnitude. All 3 of their drinking fountains are broken with no sign as to when that might be resolved, which is difficult when you have small children who are constantly thirsty. The checkout lines...oh God!! It takes an average of THIRTY minutes to get out of there!! All walmarts suck at this, as they usually have 2 or 3 out of their 25 registers opened no matter how busy their store is, but this one is particularly bad. The employees cannot answer simple, basic questions asked directly to them. In fact, they usually don't respond at all! They just give you a blank look until you sigh and walk away. They either hire all deaf employees or the employees just could not possibly care less. Avoid this walmart at all costs!! read more
