Great cosmetics mgr Dawn! I had a poor expereince last night at Walmart and today Dawn told me exactly what I needed to hear. She is a great listener and I trust she will do exactly what she promised she would do. Did you all know that the Cosmetics section is not open between 10pm-7am at Walmart? Neither did I until I walked in at 10:45pm to purchase face soap & cream for my 14 year old daughter, who's face was breaking out; and learned it was CLOSED, while "stocking items" for the safety of its customers. Dawn hates this policy as much as her customers do. Its gonna take more than me and her to make Walmart see that if your gonna be open 24-7 each department should be available as well. This place is a mad house full of rude people who would rather push past your toddler with their shopping cart, then to say excuse me. Employees who stand in the middle of the main aisle of the store on their phone, and block customers trying to pass by. Restrooms that look like fecal a splattered war zones, and more deals then wayne brady. If you don't mind the rather snide clientele that your sure to encounter here, and your able to avoid the catastrophe that has been their bathroom on my many visits. Then you're almost sure to eventually find what your looking for. I wouldn't recommend it on the weekends, but just based on inventory and the fact that its a super store its not bad. read more

12/8/17 11:45pm - This is the worst Walmart in the area. They are always understaffed and out of stock. We're expecting a snow storm late tonight into tomorrow so you would think that they would call in extra late night staff for the registers--wrong. It's not unusual on any ordinary night they have 3 registers open with poorly trained associates running them resulting in long lines and long waits. A woman who I assume is a supervisor jumped on a register and relived a few of us from waiting but series guys... Just avoid this location. I've gotten used to the poor service but I always hold out hope that I can get in and out without issue. I'll let you all know when that happens. read more

Walmart in Severn has the rudest employees & managers. Foad in sporting goods was very disrespectful and nasty towards me and yelled at me bc he felt I didn't fill out something correctly. I wasn't rude, or nasty to this man until he thought he was gonna scream at me like I was a child. When I told him I wanted to see a manager he said that's fine he then tell his manager Tim the situation which I asked the manager to step over with me bc one I wasn't going to go back and forth with this man and two bc he shouldn't have talked to him first. Also he stated to my wife when we got there that he had already denied 2 other people today due to suspicious behavior wtf does that have to do with us? I refuse to be judged bc I am married to woman and or bc I am black. I even told Tim pull the cameras you can see myself or my. Wife only acknowledged him when he spoke. Foad making comments how we were hostile and how I had an attitude from the moment I walked up to him was a complete LIE,and his manager agreeing with him is ABSOLUTELY insane to me. Then had the audacity to tell Foad to step away bc he wouldn't stop yelling, but that's ok? If we were hostile it's bc I am not and definitely not my wife is going to ALLOW a grown man who is a cashier at Walmart think that it is ok to scream at me or think he will talk to me any type of way. The store has lots of parking. The place was clean. We needed a few kitchen items. When I couldn't find what I needed, hubby asked someone to help. We had help right away and the employee walked us to the item. The check out process was quick. Yay! read more

It's my "Go To" Walmart location. I never ask the staff for help and I usually do self check out. That's why I always have a wonderful experience! Additionally, I never say "excuse me" to another patron when they're in my way. I just patiently wait for them to move so I can access what I want. read more

I wish I could give a lower rating, this Walmart was extremely busy, we didn't want to take the cart outside, so my husband left it by the checkout and yes he should have taken it all the way, we take fault in that. But this guy was talking to another guy from the time we went in to the time we came out. He just didn't want to leave that spot. I went back in and talked to the manager told her he didn't have to be so rude my husband just wasn't paying attention. But it's Walmart nothing will be done. When he started getting loud with my husband I took the cart and sit it right by him. Which was not right I see now but him getting loud with my husband was uncalled for because he didn't want to move. Visited the office to get keys made but only one was able to be copied. The associated didn't return the other key and it wasn't until I reached my destination that I realized it. Yes, I was distracted but have spent the past hour finally someone picked up but it wasn't the right department. He then transferred me to the management line and the phone is constantly ringing. The worst customer service. I understand it was the holiday weekend. Contacted this Walmart to place order for my sister. The policy is 24 hours to place order, so I asked young lady did they have a baker this weekend and were they taking orders. She says yes they are. I asked was it ok to place order for this weekend, and says no because policy is 48hrs. She says we can change policy at our discretion, based on how busy we are, that how she was trained. Very rude and nasty. I said mam that not correct policy is 24 hours. Her response very rude well mam you can come in and place order. I will never go to this bakery again. read more

THEY'VE RECENTLY ADDED SELF CHECK OUT LANES!! You now don't have to wait in line forever for the ONE cashier they have working. OMGGG. They're rearranging the whole store. I swear I could've drawn you a map of the old version in my sleep. Now none of us can find anything and they've been doing construction for weeks. It's literally a million customers running around and backtracking because we can't find anything. There's also a leak from the ceiling coming down on all the pastries. Walmarts failure to properly record my return on previous purchase of the boots did not allow me to return the faulty boots a second time. Well, for starters, I like this Walmart much better than the the one on Ordinance Road. I feel safer walking through the parking lot at night and the crowd does not appear to be as rough. Unfortunatly the bad Walmart is the one closer to my residence though so I don't come out here nearly as often. *sadface* I will say they have a great selection here. I went yesterday specifically for a dog crate in a specific size that no other stores in the area seemed to have. They had it and for a great price also (much better than if I would have gotten it at Petsmart or Petco.) The only reason I took stars off is for the fact that the store was an absolute madhouse. The main isles were very narrow and difficult to navigate with a shopping cart due to the amount of human traffic trying to move through them all at once. Also hard to go down the merchandise isles to view the products that I was interested in due to all the congestion. There were only 4 registers open when it was time to check out which was not enough in proportion to the number of customers in the store. The lines took forever to move and were so long that they extended into the womens clothing department. Other customers were nasty in line and people would try to cut in front of you if given the opportunity. So yeah, that made the experience a bit annoying. read more

The people that work here clearly hate there jobs. But honestly I can't blame them. The customers here are pushy and rude, people leave messes everywhere and really just act like they don't have a car in the world. I ran in for 1 thing, 1 simply thing that I haven't been able to find anywhere. I was also ran over by like 10 customers with carts, and pushed to the side 3 times by people in a rush. The store is so cluttered and hard to navigate with the amount of people shopping there. Spark driver applications are a lie . Cannot set your availability as the applications tutorials state. Have been to this store for help with absolutely no response in days. Cannot get driver support no matter who you call if you can get help from the phone number that is given in faq's. It hangs up after being on automatic hold . I have tried for 4 days and 120 plus phone calls. Today is there launch of 2 stores and you cannot tell them you are there to receive orders and deliver because you cannot set your availability as it is detailed in the applications videos. Would not recommend going to this store. Dirty. They are not doing anything proactive with cleaning or disinfecting. Self serve registers should be cleaned after every customer or don't have them open. No wipes to wipe down carts. Understand the location may be overwhelmed. It was packed full of people. I had every ingredient that I would have used except ground beef. The flavor was really good so you didn't miss the ground beef. If you like Mexican dishes, try this one. This Walmart is surprisingly better than all of the Walmarts I've been to. The aisles are clean, the products are well-stocked, and I haven't seen any "People of Walmart" running around (yes, Google it if you don't know what I mean). Their movie deals are sometimes better than Best Buy. And if you can get past the fact that you're supporting a corporate demon, it's probably worth visiting once or twice. Especially of you are craving for kettle cooked chips in the middle of the night...they're the only grocery store open! read more

They have boxes everywhere, you can't even shop. When you do shop... they will make you feel like your stealing for using self check out. They have NO registers open ... you have no choice but to use self check out. I was yelled at for having a cart full and asked to get out of line and go to a register .. there were ( once again ) No registers opened. I've used Walmart pickup and delivery at this location for a long time. Recently, I've noticed that I get home and items that I paid for were missing from the bags. Walmart refunded the items but it's happened a few times, so I'm not sure what is going on at this location. Walmart also never contacted the store to find out where the gap is. Super convenient Walmart and best of all they are open 24/7. On thanksgiving eve, my heat went out and I was able to stop by the store to pickup a heater. All other stores were closed this was huge finding a place that was open :) read more

Not a bad place and great location. The place tends to get messy but still can find my way around. The bad thing i have to say about this place is that the women workers are extremely rude. I don't want to sound sexist but they are always in a bad mood. Everytime I ask them for help they totally ignore me or respond rudely. They are very unfriendly even when I tried to humor them or make their lives easy by asking for simple instructions. If they hate their jobs they should quit. The good thing I have to say about this place are the men workers. They are very nice and open to help sometimes going out of there way to make sure I get what I wanted. A week ago two men employees made a game out of what price one item was that I needed. Over all I'll give it 3 stars because the good out did the bad. I just have to avoid the women employees. *Two HORRENDOUS experiences have turned me off to Walmart* I was a strong Walmart supporter for a long time. When you have a very limited budget, anywhere that offers items at least a dollar less than other stores is wonderful. The experiences I have had at the Walmart Supercenter have not only soured me to this particular store, but to the company as a whole. I had my first experience close to a year ago. While checking out on a particularly busy day, a Walmart manager directed me to an empty check out lane. I pointed out to him that it was a "speedy" check out and I had far more than the item limit, and he told me "If you don't want to go in that aisle someone else will" in a very rude tone. I was just trying to be polite and follow their policies, so I was taken aback that he would act like that. I checked out through this lane and noticed the clerk was very curt and seemed almost furious at something. At the end of my transaction, the clerk started to hand me my receipt and then jerked it away and held it over her head while LOUDLY berating me. "I KNOW you could see that this is speedy check out. Next time you come through here with too many items I'll let you put everything on the belt and then make you get out of line and go in the RIGHT check out lane! You got that, MISS???" I was beyond embarrassed and never wanted to show my face in there again. I wrote an email to the store explaining what had happened and placed a phone call. Neither were returned or acknowledged to me in any way. I decided I wouldn't be back there while I had options. This week, counting up my current budget and realizing it was even less than last year, I thought I might try to give Walmart another chance. To my surprise, I got the SAME check out clerk. She obviously didn't recognize me, but she was no more polite or friendly. Today I found that I was charged twice for my shopping trip. It's not a matter of $5 or $10 dollars, we're talking a full grocery shopping trip. The transaction went through in full, so I don't see how I could be charged twice unless it was actually run through again a full time. This is either intentional or supreme user error, both of which have put me in a serious bind now financially. Smaller budget or not, I won't be back to Walmart in the foreseeable future. I am willing to pay the difference in price to shop somewhere else...somewhere I am not humiliated by staff or overcharged by hundreds of dollars. read more

Passed over twice and then when helped given the wrong information on the wrong tire not even the one we asked for. Could not even give an estimate on time. I hate this place with a passion. I realize how strong of a word "hate" is, but it honestly reflects my feelings. I'm not the biggest fan of Walmart to begin with, but there are desperate times (or amazing sales) where I decide to visit here. Big mistake and here's why. #1. Always crowded. After being sick for almost a week, we went for groceries late on a Sunday night, 10 PM I think. Somehow the parking lot and store were still packed. To make matters worse, there were only about 2 cashiers working. Checking out took longer than the rest of the shopping trip. Waiting in long lines has happened every time we've been in here. #2. Never enough cashiers. No matter what time you go, there are always about 5 people deep in each line. Probably Walmart trying to save money by not hiring another employee to check people out. "Let them wait!" #3. People are just rude. I've never been bumped by so many carts or run into so many times in my life without an apology of any sort. #4. Unhelpful employees. I ordered something online and had it shipped in store to pick it up. I waited 15 minutes at the back counter waiting for someone to help me. Two employees actually walked by without saying anything. Finally I caught someone passing by and asked for assistance. They called someone who could help, which still took almost a half an hour to locate my merchandise. Unless it is extremely late at night or I'm sick as a dog, I'll avoid this place like the plague. read more
