I stopped here to hopefully pick up a few items. But I was not successful at finding everything I needed. Not sure if this location had supply issues or if it has just declined from all those good reviews, but it wasn't all that great here. I came in to grab a few items that I knew they would have, but after scouring the aisles I only ended up finding two of the items I wanted. After the frustration of going up and down the aisles, I made my way to the registers. I used the self checkout registers and after some difficulty with the scanner I was good to go. So, our healthcare insurance works with Caremark pharmacies, which I guess is CVS. I chose this one because they have a drive thru window, supposedly to make it more convenient? No so here. I've waited for 15-25 minutes on 4 different occasions with no one helping with the pick up. On 2 occasions, they had us jump through insurance loops to get some medication or other approved before they can refill just to end with the medication being out of stock here! It's also the messiest CVS I've ever been to. I don't think anyone cleans outside or inside on a daily basis. Debris on the carpet inside and trash spilling over outside on most days. read more

I drive by this location frequently, but never stopped in until today. The parking lot was clean and when I entered the store, I was greeted by the manager and another staff person, who were busy working on or stocking the display. The store was clean and easy to navigate, which is consistent with the CVS brand. The directionals at the top of each isle made it easy to go directly to what I needed. In my opinion, CVS prices are higher than some of their competitors; however, with the exception of the Walmart and Safeway down the street in the opposite direction, there are no other stores of this type in the immediate vicinity. Unless, there is a store located inside of the mall. After locating my two items, I went to the checkout area, which was not manned by a staff member, but complete with two self-checkout stations. The other checkout areas were closed. Once I was ready to pay, the manager asked if I found everything okay, as I motioned to the self-checkout counter. I've actually changed my primary pharmacist because they're closed or understaffed or out of the medicine. This is my location urgent care sends meds so today here I am and I'm not sure how long after a doctors office sends over the script does it suppose to take but they are not gonna fill it until you come to pick it up. This is very upsetting because if you're sick and needs your meds the last thing you want to do is sit in the pharmacy after you went home took a nap to give them time and they still aren't ready ..... anywho maybe they're just slammed take your prescriptions to Walmart or Safeway ..... read more

I had some time to kill before picking up a friend from the airport so I stopped in here. This location is very clean, well maintained, and easy to get to off of Baltimore Washington Parkway. The parking lot is large, and the staff stocking merch were friendly and willing to help. I found some amazing deals on hand sanitizer so I bought a bunch now that we have a surplus of it and no one is buying them anymore. The young female cashier was super friendly and clearly enjoyed her job. Love when retail employees project a good disposition! read more

More and more, companies are moving toward self-checkout. This CVS has two self-checkout registers and they are literally no cashiers in sight. Personally, I don't mind being able to check myself out, but seeing a person and having assistance available to you on demand is preferred and necessary at times. My main reason for visiting this CVS was to pick up a package I had ordered online. When I placed an order through Boohoo, they gave me the option to pick it up for a local CVS which acts as a UPS hub. I loved this option, because I didn't have an extended wait time to receive my package. Picking up my package from the CVS was fairly easy. After eventually finally someone to assist me, an older gentleman scanned both packages, had me sign for them and sent me on my way. I would definitely consider this option in the future for an online purchase. read more

Refused to apply the GoodRx coupon to my prescription because the pharmacy was closing in 5 mins. Told me that could pay the full prescription price or leave. When I asked them to please take a minute to give me the discounted rate because I needed the medication tonight, they hung up on me at the drive through window. I had to run inside before closing and ask them again and the pharmacist finally adjusted it with a bad attitude. read more

This the absolute worst Pharmacy. If I could give them a -1 rating I would. They had my prescription for over 1 week never filled it. When I tried to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy they claimed they were busy and told me that it will take 24 to 48 hours to transfer the prescription. Stating they have other prescriptions they are working on. I would not advise anyone to go there. read more

The Pharmacy is absolutely terrible. I was unable to pick up my prescriptions during Pharmacy hours because the Pharmacist was not on site. I want to add that the Pharmacist not showing up is not the fault of anyone in the store. However, the store manager and pharmacy technician completely refused to assist. I asked for a number for corporate so I could report that the Pharmacist was not on site and have some assistance on retrieving my prescriptions (i.e. sent to another location) and they both refused to provide one. Telling me that's "something I have to look up on my own". Absolutely ridiculous. Is this CVS or Walmart? These days you can't tell. Save yourself a headache and don't have your prescriptions sent there. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. This goes for the pharmacy. It is extremely slow. The pharamsist is very rude. I called 3 times in a row and was hung up on each time. I had to switch locations because my meds were never ready when promised or by the refill date. The black female with the locks is RUDE!! She talks down to customers. I have had rude " counseling " sessions with her. She feels the need every time to tell me she cannot fill a script for me without first speaking with my doctor. It's just a bad experience. If you are able, switch to store #1550 on Annapolis and Disney rd! Do it. I had a conversation with a customer who had been waiting DAYS!! Another said her daughter was unable to get pain meds after a surgery!! This should not be happening. She needs to stop playing god and fill the scripts. Do your job! read more

This is one of the best CVS stores around. The employees here are very friendly and social. The store is always fully stocked and cleaned. The parking lot is also kept spotless. The pharmacy employees are the nicest of the nicest. Never have a issue with anything plus They call me personally if I need a refill. It's not the CVS autodialer like from "The Simpsons". Overall. Don't recommend, had a 9am vaccination appointment for a family member, got here prior to the appointment to check-in, 15 minutes later and still no shot. Asked for an update and received an "I'm coming" response. 10 minutes later... nothing! I'm watching the pharmacist and assistants do everything except give out vaccines. Don't offer a service if you aren't going to do it or block off the scheduling system so you aren't performing them at times that don't work for the pharmacy. Won't be returning. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! I've been coming here for a couple years now. It's very close to my house and the store its self is nice HOWEVER if you need a rx filled. Take it somewhere else. It will take them hours to get it ready IF they even have it in stock. They take FOREVER to answer their phones. Im currently writing this review as Im on hold to fill my monthly rx. The pharmacy is understaffed..the two ladies here are so unbelievably SLOWWWWWWWW & nonchalant. They have time to make jokes behind the counter but not time to be attentive to the 5+ people waiting in line. They have the audacity to be rude when customers get inpatient. This is the worse pharmacy I have ever had to deal with. They have gotten prescriptions wrong, I have had experiences with prescriptions not being ready at all, and today I had a 9:50 COVID test. I arrived early, they asked me to come back closer to 9:50 because they were awaiting the tests to arrive. I went back at 9:49 and was told the COVID tech was running late and 'should' be in within the next 10 minutes. I do not feel well. I came out because of contact tracing travel alert and to get a test. This runaround is unacceptable. This is not the first time that I have come and there was lack of staff or late start. I go to this pharmacy only because it is the closest to where I leave, but a change is coming soon. This is ridiculous. read more

If I could, I would give ZERO starts for CVS store number 10564. The service was bad when they first opened (VERY short-staffed), but has gotten so much worse, that I'm moving my family prescriptions to Walmart. I was at the CVS on December 22, 2022 and there were 12 people in line waiting for the pharmacy with only one pharmacists working and two techs. When it was finally my turn, they said they did not have my prescription ready, because I didn't pick it up in time, which was the day before. Now mind you, I went there the day before on my way home from work and for some unknown reason, the pharmacy was closed at 4:00pm! Then, the customer behind me asked for her prescription and was also told it was not ready, even though the customer dropped off the prescription two days earlier. This location is awful! There are never enough staff working, they don't do COVID tests, even though you have an appointment, they never answer the phones, and the drive-through has been closed for months. My family is so fed up with CVS, that we will not be shopping at your stores anymore. I plan to post this message anywhere and everywhere I can online for others to see. Maybe, one day corporate will actually hire more staff to work, instead of sitting behind their desks collecting huge paychecks. read more

My new favorite CVS- it's still relatively new, bright, clean and the few times I have been there the staff have always been friendly.

They seem to never stock flu shots! I have asked at 5 different times this flu season, including today. Also, they are so slow at filling scripts! I called in my scripts (just Vitamin B and D) five hours ago and they still haven't filled it! The tech just told me "you have no idea how much prescriptions we're filling in." At the expense of customer service?? Come on! I'm transfering all my scripts back to Walgreens! I thought getting all my scripts in this CVS location would be easier for me since I live within walking distance but nooo.... Do not go to this location. read more

I have had several bad experiences at this CVS pharmacy location. For example, one of my medications was not ready for over a week. They said it would be ready Wednesday and then when I went it still wasn't in. Most recently, I scheduled a flu shot and covid booster appointment and when I got there they said there was no one to give vaccines so we would have to reschedule. No phone call or notification to let us know this was occurring and that it was a waste of time to show up. Plus, the woman who told us this has definitely given vaccines at this location before. Went to Giant after and walked in and got the vaccines in 15 minutes. Won't be using this pharmacy anymore if I can help it. read more

My family and I have been going to this cvs to get prescriptions filled lately and let me tell you, they are TERRIBLY understaffed and take FOREVER to get anything done. Worst experience. The doctor called in my prescription; CVS could not find it; turns out they did not bother to check messages left by physicians. Repeatedly, asked for personal information such as DOB loudly every single time we spoke. Pharmacist stated RX ready in 30 minutes; 1 hour later - RX not even filled. If I could give this pharmacy no stars I would. They never have any pharmacists or enough staff, they don't communicate your RX status with you. Had one called in and kept being told they were working on filling it and gave me multiple pickup dates only to get there twice and be told it's out of stock. Mind you I waited in a line forever so after being sick and going there twice I gave up and had my RX called into the Severn CVS and it was filled right away. Waiting on this Hanover pharmacy cost me an extra week of being sick with no antibiotic! Just went on 12/15/22 for my scheduled Covid test only to get there and see the pharmacy was shut down due to the pharmacist having Covid. A simple phone call or email telling me this would have saved me the time, and gas/trip. Once again, I had to go to the Annapolis Rd Severn location to get tested. Thank God they had one last appointment that day given this Hanover location didn't have the decency to reach out and let folks know their tests would be canceled due to their pharmacy being closed. A little communication goes a long way, especially when you're sick and in need of medications/testing! This location needs to do better and hire more pharmacists/pharmacy staff!!! read more

This pharmacy sucks, the pharmacists in particular. Some of the front store staff are terrible too as they just expect you to use the self checkout and act like they don't work there. The pharmacy NEVER answers the phone, shuts down part of the counters, and take FOREVER to give you a simple vaccine despite you practically doing all the work to check in and make sure you're on time. What's the point of having appointments then?! This place has been open way too long to still be running this badly. I ended up moving my prescriptions cause of how unreliable this place is. I've had several issues with this CVS location. I've called Corporate numerous times and nothing has been done. Just recently called in a prescription waited 4 days and never heard whether the prescription was ready or not of course we tried calling but you can't reach anyone so we went to see about picking up the prescription and they moved the pharmacist to another location so basically no prescriptions could be filled! not going to bother to call corporate cause nothing will be done. Sadly I can't do negative number of stars.... New to the area so had my prescriptions moved to another local pharmacy then learned that CVS (my Rx provider on my company plan) requires me to use CVS or else it costs me more. I tried to move my prescriptions but it took multiple attempts to get them to answer the phone so I endured 20 minutes of screeching hold music interrupted every 10 seconds with a flu shot commercial (1st time - no one answered) then 12 minutes (2nd time) before someone answered. I explained what I needed and she put me back on hold... for nearly an hour more of the screeching & flu shot ads. I eventually called from my computer to get the store manager to go tell the pharmcy to pick up the damn phone. Ten minutes later the pharmacist came on the computer line (still on hold on my phone) and I explained again. Unfortunately, aparently EVERYONE at this store is an immigrant and I had trouble understanding them due to heavy accents so they got mad at ME for asking them to speak slower. RUDE, INCOMPETENT, DISRESPECTFUL... all true about this location. I don't trust them to sell me a bottle of sealed water at this point, let alone fill my medications. Now, since some will jump on the immigrant comment - that is great that they are here and they speak at least two languages but they also need to understand that not everyone can understand them when they speak broken english with malformed sentences and add on a heavy accent and, oh yeah, they were speaking thru a mask!!!!!! At this point I simply want to warn others to beware - I am now using the mail order capability of CVS. If I drove by this store and saw it was on fire, I'd laugh and keep driving and not even think about calling the fire department. read more

I got a COVID booster shot at this CVS. The pharmacist (I think his name was Dave) gave the shot. He did a poor job, to say the least. First off, the wait was about 45~ minutes. Second of all, he put the syringe in for a very long time. Third of all, he shook the syringe around inside my arm, causing it to bleed. He didn't even have cotton swab ready. When he got one, HE SET IT ON THE TABLE. HE DIDN'T EVEN SANITIZE THE TABLE!! THEN, HE PUT IT DIRECTLY ON MY ARM. WHAT KIND OF PHARMACIST DOES THAT!? Over all it was a bad experience. 1 star. The pharmacist was complaining to me, a patient, that filling my prescription is doubling her work. Besides giving me a rude behavior this morning, Cynthia did not fill my medication. She simply left and stated she forgot to fill it. The process made me wait more than 4 hours for the medication to be filled. Self check-out machines frequently malfunction and they seem to be understaffed, leaving you with the option of waiting around with your overpriced goods until someone begrudgingly helps you, or rudely walking out with nothing. Oh, and the theft alarm on the door goes off unnecessarily, causing stress to numerous customers, and more waiting until someone approves people to go through the door. 1 extra star for convenient location and decent parking. read more

Had a covid test scheduled for today, went down there and they said their "system is down since yesterday" yet still was able to pull my info up and confirm my appointment. If thats true they should be calling people so they dont need to needlessly leave their homes. Also refused to just write down whatever info was needed and input it when the system is back up. I didnt know it was a computer that needed to stick a swab up my nose, i thought i would be doing it. Zero care for patients here, zero customer service, and frankly lazy.
