Came to pick up an order. Upon arriving, there were no spots available with a number. I'm an Uber driver, I need a spot number. I asked an associate what to do and he rudely pointed to a blank parking spot and said "There's one right there.", in a snarky attitude. Me, as well as, another customers had to move cones out of spots, with numbers, that way we can actually pick up our order. You can't even address in the app that "I've arrived" without giving a spot number. Without a spot number I don't get my order. Clean, well maintained store in busy location, which may be awkward to get to for some. Parking is satisfactory. Houseplants were well maintained, and the offerings were adequate, but the selection of Cactus and Succulents was not the best. Some plants had last years price on the tag, but when going through checkout, the new price was charged. It was cheaper, so it wasn't an issue. Prices are good at this store and many other Walmarts because they reduce the price of seasonal items they want to get rid of, in addition to their regular low, everyday price. read more

Today I went grocery shopping at the Shelby Walmart and there was a dog there with its humans. There is a sign on the door when you enter Walmarts that said no pets, service animals welcome. This dog was around food which is against Michigan law. Service animals are well trained, this dog was not. I complained to customer service but I am not sure anything was done. I know its difficult to approach people but this could get out of control quickly. This is generally a pretty good store other than people not paying attention to signs. read more

This is for the bakery department. I simply came in on a Thursday to this location to order bday cake for Saturday of this week. Nohad the associate that works in the bakery department(who has also given me stops with ordering previous cakes meaning she has done this before )she mentioned that I can't order a cake this weekend they are booked out . I think the employees here hate their job because not one will help you. If you ask someone for help they usually shrug or say "that's not my department" or "I don't know." Make me wonder how high the turnover rate is. Are the cheap prices worth the extra time it takes to even find things you are looking for? I admit it is a really big store and you can find bargains. Just don't expect to get much help from employees. I went to another one on Hall and actually got some help from two employees, so I am unsure if it was just a busy and bad day (Sunday). They have a Subway if you like to eat there.... I am particularly biased because I can't stand the smell of Subway. So, walking into the food side made me feel nauseous, but it could be a plus for those that eat it. ---------------- Had to edit this. Very upset. I HIGHLY suggest you train your pickup and delivery people WAY better. ESPECIALLY the delivery ones!!!!!! I received 2 incorrect items and I tried contacting the department right away to get it fixed while the driver was still possibly out so myself and whoever's order I got could get swapped back, but your people have absolutely NO idea what they're doing!!!! I called for a few days straight with no one answering the phone in automotive. Finally came in person and the phone rang and the employee behind the desk literally said out loud "I'm not answering that". Explains why I couldn't get a hold of anyone. I was told the job would be done within an hour. Im still here two hours later with no update on my vehicle. I only shop at Walmart for cleaning supplies, or once in awhile food items that are on sale from the local sales paper. other than that I'm a number 1 Kroger shopper. Went in to buy a gallon of milk on sale, 1.78 and Holmes air filters for my purifier. Walmart stocks them instead of spending the money for mail order. Cleaning supplies the value is a lot cheaper than buying at Meijer. Would have to compare my cleaning supplies prices with Menards. now there's a store that I need to review and Shop at soon. Walmart did have good prices for their ice cream this week so can't complain for that although I did not buy any. Hillshire lunch meat 297 not bad for a package. The upside is the price. The every day low prices. The customer service takes a beating for the price. Some locations can be invasive with their loss prevention and checking receipts more than once before exiting the store. These stores can be messy and there often aren't workers ready to help customers. Of course we all know they essentially make you the cashier and bagger. read more

Went to buy a large basketball hoop setup and needed help because it was too big for a cart. Could not find any staff in the sporting goods area to assist. However, the gentlemen from the tire center saw me wandering aimlessly and asked if I needed help. Told him my plight and he said he would assist. He found a large pallet cart and not only helped me load it, but brought it to the checkout and then outside where he waited for me to drive my van up to the door. Wow. He went above and beyond. I took a return back with original packaging and they could find my return online using my credit card.... BUT because their policy is no returns after 90 days, they would not even give a store credit! Be VERY careful when purchasing - as this is super problematic! Purchased a cake for my daughter's birthday. Pretty two tier pink cake. It was beautiful. So so pretty. And then we cut into it..... it was sooo sweet, too sweet. Everyone got a slice. Yelp really needs to get on making a 0 star rating. Actually that wouldn't even help right now, because this Walmart is about a negative 1 star in my book and I'm certain others can contest that this is no exaggeration. A dull butter knife in my eye would be less painful than a trip through this store, most specifically the customer service department. If you're looking to lose 2 hours of your life, and seeing just how high your blood pressure can get with out actually exploding just come to the perpetually 8-person long line in the customer service department. They have 4 registers but only have one person ever working here. I kid you not the man is 104 years old. I'm not trying to be an ass but seriously it's something else! If this man and a sloth were in a race together, it goes without saying that the sloth would run laps around this man. And in case your knowledge about sloths isn't up to par, sloths are THE slowest animal on the planet. Well, apparently when they were handing out that title, they hadn't met this man at Walmart. I want a recount on that title. It pains me to even rethink this day that I was here last week. I literally wanted to scream when I finally left the store, after waiting in the customer service line for over 30 minutes. Within that 30 minutes of waiting to be helped I asked 5 employees, whom were standing around doing NOTHING if they could send a manager over. Every single employee replied "someone is coming", yet not one of them got on the phone to call anyone. There was 8 of us in line. All frustrated and growing tired of waiting. My husband bought 3 pairs of work jeans in the morning. One pair did not fit, and due to covid the fitting room was closed. In the late afternoon he took them back to exchange them or get his money back. The service department was closed. He located a manager and asked her to get someone to help him. The manager said come back in an hour and someone will be back from lunch. He had no shopping to do, to come back in an hour. Funny how it's so easy for them to have enough people at check out to take your money, but they don't have anyone to refund it. I called corporate and they contacted the shelby twsp. store, which called us back. After a lot of excuses, Jordan the manager said he could take care of it for us if we came in sometime today. Would be really nice if the employees actually restocked their toy section. Especially the Hotwheel section and bins. I've been up here more than 4 times a week to check and not one damn thing as changed. Me being a huge collector along with others we come in searching for the new sets and etc and it sucks because it'll be the same low stocked damaged hotwheels on the wall and in the bid that has damage or has been sitting there since Christmas. Pulled up around 5 to pick up a door dash order. First, we called the number on the sign and the phone was not answered. Once we finally were helped by a worker (who I had to track down on foot by the way) we sat waiting for about 30 minutes. After all that time had passed we decided to call the store phone number. This also went straight to voicemail. After almost an hour of waiting we were informed our pick up wasn't even ready and that we should just cancel it. They said they will just send another driver later. Almost an hour of our time was spent waiting and we left the parking lot with 0$. Do NOT go to this Walmart. The service was not good. read more

When we entered the facility there were no shopping carts available and we recommend to the employee standing at the front door to get more carts for the shoppers and she told us that someone was on it and when we left an hour later there were no carts still and no one was outside getting them. There were also 3 lazy ass employees doing absolutely nothing that could've been getting carts. read more

This walmart is garbage. Terrible staff, people don't know what they are doing, and never matched any of their competition (Target add for a video game that was from the newspaper). Staff does not care to be there, and I can bet on as to why they hate the place. Management doesn't care about any of their customers. I'd stick to Target (26 mile and Van dyke). I needed to grab something and use the restroom. The frontman -- I don't know what you call the yellow vested individuals who wait at the front -- was walking back to the front of the entrance as i walked in. He was completely rude. He says what he says and I couldn't hear him. I told him I had to use the bathroom and he yells "bathroom is closed but you can get out". He claims the bathrooms are already cleaned and he already got in trouble. I asked why. He says "because people like you like to come in and mess up the bathrooms". I don't know what he means by "people like you" but I know that there wasn't much to gather in terms of differences besides physical features-- and yes, age and race were definitely different here. That was the most belittling experience I ever had and it only last maybe 30 seconds. Didn't care enough for a name but he was an older caucasian male with a height of at least 6'0 hollering at me because of what someone else did. I'll call higher ups in the morning because that's no way to tell someone to leave. honestly, I can't believe i have to bring this up but I have this problem or similar EVERY time the service personnel in question is white. Sooooo frustrating to deal with the idiots here. If you put a label on the shelf that states a price and place items directly above it one would think that that is the price for the item. But because they are so disorganized your items are in the wrong slots. I have to admit this place is a go to spot for our home and business. I probably spent $12,000 a year here or so. I went in for a full service oil change but did not receive one. As a past TLE employee I know what to look for and what they are supposed to do. They did not do majority of the work. I had to take it back in for them to vacuum it. The window was not washed. I asked them specifically to check my front differential and they did not. When asked why he didn't he said "I checked but everything is ok" he didn't even touch it. If they do something they leave a little blue line from bolt onto case. They do that for rear diff, transfer case, oil filter, drain plug, etc. there was no blue mark and didn't look like it was touched. They claim there was only 7 grease fittings but I know there are more. When asked to double check he said he found them all. Umm. Ok I guess I'll do it myself then. Lazy lazy people. read more

The problem is now that they have forced you to shop there, they know they do not have keep adequate staffing, even when the place is packed which is 24/7. What are you going to do? Go somewhere else? Ha! And out of 20 checkout lanes, you will be lucky if 3 are open. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else, even if the drive is a bit further or you have to pay more.
