Delivery made today but not to my house. I don't recognize the porch. I have had Walmart deliver to my address previously but this time I did not get it. This location i highly don't recommend. Maybe even all the locations. As a courtesy i tried calling the store to follow up for a delivery order for someone else in my building. Apparently a Walmart delivery driver left bags of food outside the front entrance with ice cream melting,etc. I tried numerous times to call the store manager before the store closed. Was able to get in and out of this location with no problem. Very well stocked, and organized. Plenty of parking. This does seem to be a smaller location, but it had everything that i needed. I didn't like that there were quite a bit of people just standing around as you were trying to get to the doors, they just stand in the way when you're trying to enter and you have to zig zag through. I packed myself to travel to St. Louis. For some reason, I counted three pairs of underwear as five, so I needed to make a "quick" run to Walmart to purchase some more. I only wanted one item. They now have the men's underwear under lock and key. It's a great system if someone shows up to unlock the cabinet. And that was the problem. While I didn't look at my watch, the wait was excessive. Mrs. K. went three times to find someone to unlock the display. Grr. I understand the location of this store makes it necessary to lock up the merchandise. I was drug here while taking a friend around the neighborhood to run errands. I had not been here since my last visit back in 2015. I did not venture very deep into the store. We only shopped the grocery and meat department. I will say that their prices were not that impressive on the staple items I checked. However, I will say that the meats looked good and the prices were similar to those that I see and pay at my Costco. The grocery area was clean and well maintained. The check-out was a nightmare. It was just like all the stories I've heard. Only two cashiers working and both of them were working slow as molasses. I do not use self checkouts, but I was so tempted to do on this visit. I'm not a Wal-Mart supporter. I'm not a fan of the Walton's or Stan Kroenke. If you are, this is was of the better stores. Just beware of the parking lot, it gets kind of crazy. read more

I had the worst check out experience at the Shrewsbury Walmart. It was 6:30 am on 1/24/25. The checker was on her phone. I said " good morning" and she ignored me and continued to stay on her phone as I put my groceries on the belt. I had a case of soda and laundry detergent in my cart, many times I offer to scan them but since she was on her phone and ignoring me, I did not offer. She looked at me without saying a word and handed me her scan gun. I said "you can scan them". She looked at me a second time with disgust and handed me her scan gun while still on her phone. Again, not saying a word to me. I said back for a second time, "you can scan them". She then came around to my cart and on the phone she said to her friend "Can you believe this lady is making me scan her items in her cart". I said, "well, you are supposed to be working and not on your cell phone!" She stayed on her phone and never said one word to me! This was very unacceptable behavior and the checkers at this location 99% of the time are rude and never say hello or thank you. I have been a loyal shopper for decades NOT anymore! read more

If you want to feel like you're in a fever dream, visit this Walmart after dark. I was trying to find chain/machinery oil but that aisle the app said it was didn't even exist. A nice employee helped me, but after 45 minutes he just started breathing heavily and whimpering. The produce also is NOT organic and it looks organic, if you know what I mean. This is about the Shrewbury Walmart. They are horrible. The place is never well stocked. They also need to invest in some customer service training. I approached an associate for assistance but she was on her phone and didn't show interest in helping me. If you are working you shouldn't be on your phone. One time a cashier checks me out and she was on the phone the entire time. Not a good idea when dealing with money. It shouldn't be allowed. The place is always cluttered with boxes and a disorganized mess. The only department that is exceptional is the pharmacy. They should let those associated train the other departments. The parking lot is constantly packed (and this coming from a person that parks far away to avoid door dings). There is never enough of anything on the shelves and zero staff to checkout your items to purchase. I literally spend $$$ and have to do the scan and go your self because there is no staff. For that I'd rather go to Dierbergs. Nice location but they need workers and order info to track inventory more carefully so they have pantry staples you need in stock. read more

From bad to worse. Actually had a Walmart Pharmacy employee flip me the bird today (7/22/2021)! Store manager refused to take her off the floor, and tried to make it about me. She continued to mutter obscenities and insults under her breath. This location has all kinds of problems, and it's only getting worse. We no longer do any grocery shopping there at all. It's like "Night of the Living Dead." They eliminated all the checkers, so now you have long, long lines of zombies waiting in 20-cart deep lines. Shop for groceries at Dierbergs and get your prescriptions online. Oh, and during the height of COVID, this store would not tell unmasked "customers" to wear a mask. With regard to this Walmart location & my experience with online grocery: My Online Grocery Delivery arrived 25 hours and 28 minutes late. That is not a typo. It took 12 phone calls and 2 emails to get it finally delivered. And they failed to deliver half of my items due to them being out of stock, including a certain kind of food I rely on daily. Additionally, it took 50 minutes from when the driver picked up my groceries for them to get here. My order included milk & other perishables. And who knows how long *before* the driver got there that things were unrefrigerated in the holding area at Walmart. Thankfully the milk and other perishables were not spoiled but I wouldn't trust this process again. The only thing they did to compensate me for this wasted time is send me a $10 coupon which is only usable for their online grocery service.... With regard to non-grocery online orders shipped to my apartment: It took 11 days from the day I ordered my dog's food to the day it was delivered (Dec 13 to Dec 24). He had completely run out and I was feeding him eggs before the shipment finally arrived. I realize it's the holiday season, but 11 days is still excessive. Also, the box--which had two 11-pound bags of food in it--was almost completely open when it arrived, due to poor packaging and lack of tape. One of the bags had multiple small holes in it, with means it is unusable and I have to go through the hassle of returning it. Earlier this summer, I ordered a wire shelf from the Walmart website & it, too, was not packaged properly and the shelves were bent in multiple places. TL;DR: Get your stuff elsewhere. P.S. I am disabled and my car is currently unusable. I rely on grocery & other delivery, and I can't "just go to the store." read more

Way back in the 1900s i would argue with my Pro UNION father about Walmart He stated they would squeeze the little people out of business then become unresponsive to community standards and raise money while working people at "slave" wages. I just cant believe that all the lines are self service. I see 80 and 90 year olds, people with low vision, people with multiple kids, trying to be tellers. it is so sad. I am thinking about setting up a community organization to help volunteer to check people out. It doesn't seem to help with the lines, it defiantly doesn't decrease the bill. I see several people working, who just are really talking to them self's and pointing to registers when they notice your in line. I don't see why i ever need to go back. I will take my foolish self to the small mom and pops around town and hope they build back up. We are moving our pharmacy out of there, and we REALY love those folks in Pharmacy, they are VERY helpful. They didn't refund the money for the protection plan who would not want to have an awesome protection plan, even after we we send the phone back. I ended up at the new Walmart in Shrewsbury tonight which apparently had a soft opening today. I'm not a Walmart lover. I prefer to spend money elsewhere however I do end up there from time to time. It's bright, clean, shiny, and new. It's fully stocked, especially with pumpkin spice everything right now. If you are going to shop at Walmart this looks like a great one to do it at. There were plenty of customers there but nothing compared to how many I imagine will be there once news that they are open spreads. read more

She also forgot count the bottled water even I told her 2 times b4. The third time she take the bottled water out and forgot push them back, all of them fall on the floor when I went out. About 11-21 I get an order delayed email. Nothing more by 12-3 so I went in to see what was going on. Tracking showed delivery at Walmart 11-21. It was not logged in and could not be found. Either sticky fingers FedX or Walmart $8/hr employee. THE LIAR EMPLOYEE SAID IT WOULD BE RE-ORDERED. Nothing by 12-9 so I go in again. IT WAS NOT RE-ORDERED. Time for a refund. I've had it. This Walmart is terrible. I went there today for some back to school items. The entire front is converted to self check out. There was no where to be checked out by an employee. So frustrating and annoying. I feel like I should be getting paid to do that. When I entered the self check out there were 5 employees just hanging out and having a good time looking at their phones. Wth? If you have time to look at your phone, you have time to stock or clean. Also, I was here last December, the Saturday before Christmas, and someone tried to carjack me in the parking lot.
