The gentlemen who works early mornings (usually see him during the week), black hair medium length is very kind, always nice, patient and willing to help. However I used the restroom this morning and there were multiple bugs and spiders. Not small ones but these guys! Eek! I didn't leave with anything due to this. I wouldn't want to bring items into my car or home knowing there are bugs all over just to avoid the slight chance ones hiding in an item I buy. I know very unlikely but I'd rather be extra cautious.

The NEVER ENDING line that is ALWAYS at Walgreens on Clayton road.

I did not need the dryer immediately so I waited about a month before I opened the box. That was my mistake for waiting so long to open the box but I was hoping that a business that I have supported for ten years would have a solution. I intentionally shop here over ordering from online stores to support freestanding businesses. Unfortunately when I attempted to exchange the dryer they politely said there was nothing they could do and I left with a dryer that I will never be able to use. This is not a good place to invest in dryers..... hard lesson learned. They sell products with missing pieces. I would have had a better experience if I would have ordered the dryer online because the dryer would have came with four wheels . I spend hundreds of dollars here a year but i will be buying my beauty products online moving forward......Does anybody need a one Wheeled free standing dryer?

Even after then I was never on that side of town when the store was open. Well today was my day!! I walked up and pulled the door and was excited that it opened. I heard a voice but didn't see anyone. A welcoming bubbly voice. A few seconds later Cassie appeared. Just as bubbly as her voice. I didn't know how anything worked so she explained the scents and what I could do. I first started smelling the oils. I quickly gravitated towards 3 scents. She put them on a swatch so that I could see how they smelled together. I loved them!! Up next was the home fragrance. I went over and started to smell scents because another gentleman came in to re-up on his fragrance. I smelled the Ocean Breeze first. I was sold on that one. I continued to smell other scents though. The ocean breeze smelled so clean and inviting. Cassie came over and once again explained to me how the lamp worked and even gave me a demonstration. Told me how many hours each size would last. By this time I'm invested!! Take my money please. So I picked a lamp and luckily enough it came with the fragrance I wanted. The only reason I didn't buy extra was because my husband is always looking for stuff to buy me. I will send him back when we need extra scent oils. I'm super excited about my purchase and I know exactly where I am putting my lamp. Thank you Cassie! I love your store and we will definitely be back!

Ladies and gents, behold the power of NARS! If you are like me, at all; you too have been sucked…read moreinto MAC nation, at some point in your life. Every one of us that has had the pleasure to wander through a Macy's cosmetics department has immediately been drawn to the makeup artists at MAC. Usually with fashionably bold painted faces, and some sort of cool music blaring from the center of the display. We've all fallen into status quo, but eventually you have to be a trend setter and go above what everyone else is doing......enter NARS! Haute! Haute! Haute! I knew nothing of NARS until I stumbled across Narada Johnson's Facebook picture, him looking diva-ish in a sea foam green mask. So today I took the plunge. I woke up prepped my face with a cleanser and headed to the mall. With my dry spots outs and my blemishes saying hello to the world I approached the NARS counter at Nordstrom, St. Louis Galleria. Narada, as pleasant as could be greeted me with a hug and was visually excited to make me a believer of the infinite beauty treatment; little did I know in 60 minutes I'd be wishing I could buy the entire counter. Narada is the best, so please pay him a visit just to check it out! -- Step one: The briefing. Basically Narada told me what he was going to do from start to finish. He inquired about my skin type: oily, dry, etc. --Step two: The fun begins. Cleansing the face and moisturizing, already coaxing me into this amazing facial treatment formulated by Shiseido, Hydrating Freshening Lotion. My new love potion! --Step three: Finding that perfect foundation that will not just cover up but actually lift and brighten and bring your face to life, while smoothing and correcting. Sheer Glow Punjab is my shade and my concealer Honey is my ticket to round out my pretty face. My blush is Sin but Orgasm did look lovely. --Step four: Eyes, Narada walked me through the tips and tricks of how to apply, set and play up a day look to a night look. Working with Sugarland and New York, I went from morning meeting at the office, to evening meeting at an intimate table for two! As Narada dabbled and patted, he used Loose powder Eden to finish and set along with warming up my face with Bronzer Laguna. --Step five and six: Lips and lashes. Narada showed me several shades of this fabulous lip wear. It was glossy, but velvety. Not the typical sticky and tacky gloss some of us are accustomed to. As for my lashes, after a quick curl and a few applications to enhance volume and length, I was set. They almost look false, but they are not! I made my purchase and smiled from ear to ear, headed for home. Here I am 6 hours later, intentionally waiting to test my face. I look exactly the same, the makeup is set. My eyes sultry and shimmering, my face just the way it was set. Typically after about 2 hours I feel like my makeup is melting off and soaking into my skin. As I touch my face I feel no excess residue, and upon pressing a tissues against my face I see nothing! This by far is just fantastic! My skin feels amazing, soft and hydrated. Even if you are a skeptic, just visit Narada and let him make you a believer! I've been through the NARS website several times and I can't wait to return to find the best shades and products for my future seasons of makeup changing. Today I fell in love! **NARS**

At this point I had been natural for a little over 3 years. My hair was not in the best shape and I wanted a little guidance. My experience with hairdressers and natural hair had been awful thus far (check out my previous reviews). I am so glad that I found this place online. I had an appointment with the owner of the salon Lawanda Brooks. When I arrived I was immediately sent to the shampoo area. The woman who did my shampoo and conditioner asked if my hair had already been detangled. I told her that I suck at detangling and really hadn't done a good detangling in 2 years (yeah... I know. I know... ). She was patient and thorough during the process. I was worried that because of the poor condition of my hair and my laziness ( I hate detangling) that she would be ripping my hair through the comb. I am so thankful that this didn't happen. She shampooed and conditioned my hair while it was in sections ( I have a large mane). This allowed her to get rid of all the build up in my hair and slowly go through the detangling process. After the shampoo and conditioning, I met the owner for my cut, blow-dry and flat iron. What impressed me about this process was that no oils were used. I did not want my hair to burn under the hot flat iron and oil (something I think you see too often). Lawanda was great to work with. She answered all my questions, she asked me questions about my hair maintenance, and she gave me great advice. Before cutting my hair she showed me how much she was taking off before proceeding. When she was done, I almost cried. My hair was straight, beautiful, soft, and slick. Exactly what I had hoped for. This was by far one of my best hair salon experiences. It is important to note that this place has their own shampoo and conditioner line. They make everything at the shop. I loved it and bought some on my way out. While I may be leaving St. Louis I do plan on using their online shop to buy more of their products. Check out their website! I highly recommend going to this salon There are a lot of natural hair salons popping up but you need to be careful about who you let do your hair. You went through a long transitioning process or big cut. You finally love your hair texture, don't let an untested natural hairdresser undue all your handwork. You can not go wrong in this salon.

I genuinely held the belief that salons were not for my kind of hair because of this experience. They continually guilted me for my hair texture and implied that my hair was the way it was because I didn't comb my silk press when I came literally 4-6 months later and had washed and restyled it many times before then. From my experience the 3 black stylists from blown away are leaps and bounds gentler, kinder, and more patient. If you have softer curl patterns or are not tender headed this is a great place to go. The hairstyles look good and they can get you in and out fast. If you're anything like me, I would run as fast as I can away. I hate this place.
