A quick trip to this store to buy a gallon of distilled water and a six-pack of Sam Adams proved interesting. Apparently, despite being rather chronologically gifted, even I needed a supervisor to approve the beer purchase. I found it amusing, and kidded the associate about it. Heck I get routinely carded--yes I am required to show I.D. at the Rite Aid in Bonita where I buy beer by the case almost weekly. Anyway, the supervisor ambled up and roller her eyes after looking at me, quickly pressing the right buttons to let me on my way. In a way, it was sort of fun. That said, this is a very well-stocked and managed Walmart.

Come on it's WALMART... who's not a FAN of WALMART????? Although sometimes I think Walmart is a succubus, i Love it just the same. This WalMart has experienced a recent move as it was originally located abt 800 feet west of its current location. This WalMart seems larger and of course it's a SUPER WALMART as it has food and non-perishable items. Only thing this one doesn't have it a tire installing department. Prior to Hurricane Katrina, circa 2005, this WalMart was 24hours; sadly it's that no longer.... ahhhhh RATSSSS!!!!! All in all, this is a basic Wally Wally World WalMart that has pretty much all you need & not too costly!!!!! Winner in my book.

I was in the area and figured I would go ahead and stop in to get the few things I needed so I wouldn't have to stop again closer to home. Well. One of the items I needed was on the top shelf. I am short, and had abdominal surgery less than a week earlier. After seeing some employees, I approached them and asked for help. They pretended to not speak English, though I could clearly hear them speaking to each other in English when I approached them and then they were laughing as I walked away. I left, purchasing nothing. I was still in some pain from my surgery and was walking funny. The above ladies did mention handicapped people in a derogatory manner. I did go to the customer service counter at the front and complain to the manager there. He stated he would speak to the employees, but made no effort to come get the item in question for me, nor did he ask someone else to assist me. Too bad for all involved.

    Omg... Way cheap and good..

I did some searches, found this place on Google, and decided to give them a shot. I was ordering for multiple people, so I ended up getting 2 po-boys, a falafel wrap, and baklava. One of the people who got a po-boy said it wasn't regular mayo on the po-boy, but rather either tahini or tzatziki. Now mind you, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but could be jarring for someone not expecting it. The falafel and baklava were mine. I thought that the falafel wrap was good: flavorful and saucy. It was a bit messy, but I seem to always make a mess when eating falafel sandwiches. I was excited about the baklava, but unfortunately it wasn't very good. Maybe it had been sitting for a while, I don't know, but the flaky pastry had lost some of its flakiness/crispiness and had become a bit chewy instead. One odd thing is that you get your food bagged at the checkout counter, which is separate from the food counter. This doesn't sound bad in theory, but meant I ended up carefully holding 3 hot sandwiches, a small takeout container, and a menu while waiting in line at the checkout counter. The man at the register was very friendly though, and recommended their chicken shawarma; I'll have to try that at some point. It bears mentioning that along with food and typical convenience store items, this place also has a meat counter/market. They sell things like raw steaks, ground meat, turkey wings, pork necks, chicken drumsticks, sausage, etc.

There was a customer ahead of us with 2 items and I asked the Cashier before we started loading our groceries onto the belt if she would use her hand-held scanner to scan the heavy items in our cart and she said, "I can only help one customer at a time"! So we patently waited until it was our turn, we were just standing there with nothing loaded on the belt waiting to see if she was going to scan the heavy items in our cart as we had requested but nothing as she starred at us full of attitude so I ask again, "can you use your hand held scanner to scan the heavy items in our cart" and she tapped her finger on her conveyor belt and said "you can just put them up here", I was like WOW! So, we did, and then we finally got to the end and time to pay, and the credit card scanner was freezing up and after approximately 8 tries I looked up at the Cashier for help only to watch her standing they're literally laughing at us with her arms crossed! Embarrassed and frustrated at this point I asked her "what the "F" are you laughing at" and very quickly she stopped laughing and uncrossed her arms. At this point I told her to go get her damn manager and she did! The shift manager came to the register hit a button on the register and my card worked, I guess the joke was on us. The shift manager didn't know why she refused to scan the heavy items in our cart but stated she was gonna talk to her about that, we were never offered an explanation to why we were treated the way we were or a simple apology! The Store owner and manager simply told us their register camera don't record audio only video, so our horrible experience never happened. Worse experience with a Cashier anywhere in my lifetime and I'm in my 60's. A couple days later I went back to the store for groceries and the Store Owner Steve Fecke followed me out the store to inform me he was banning me from his store for using a curse word and still refused to offer us an apology as did the store manager for the way we were treated by his Cashier, simply amazing!

Then she picked up the phone there and said something. I then politely said, should I go to another check out?". She said nothing! Then another lady came up, and cleared the register. I saw "insert card", and asked her "Should I insert the card?" She said NOTHING. Eventually the order was completed, and was handed the receipt. I waited about 5 seconds to be told "Thank you", but she said NOTHING! So, I loudly said "You're Welcome!". She said nothing. As I walked off I said loudly "You should go to friendly school!" She said nothing. What an unfriendly and rude person!!!!!!! The reciept does not have her names on it, but "Supervisor #9033" . At bottom: C0124 #0128 15:21:02 10Feb2025.
