Walmart Pickup -- I am tired of getting the "Worst" quality of everything! Cheddar cheese blocks are vacuum sealed, to keep air out. I received a block of Great Value Sharp Cheddar with LOOSE packaging. I should have gone inside to return/exchange it, but I didn't see this until I unpacked bags. On a previous visit, I received a cannister box of bread crumbs that looked like it had been stepped on. I want the BEST box, not the worst box. I want the best potatoes, onions, etc., not the worst. A quick trip to this store to buy a gallon of distilled water and a six-pack of Sam Adams proved interesting. Apparently, despite being rather chronologically gifted, even I needed a supervisor to approve the beer purchase. I found it amusing, and kidded the associate about it. Heck I get routinely carded--yes I am required to show I.D. at the Rite Aid in Bonita where I buy beer by the case almost weekly. Anyway, the supervisor ambled up and roller her eyes after looking at me, quickly pressing the right buttons to let me on my way. In a way, it was sort of fun. Walmart Supercenter - Department Stores Near Me - Slidell, Louisiana

Last night I got to Walmart on Natchez Drive in Slidell Louisiana 15 minutes before closing. The manager looked upset when I walked through the door. My thing is don't leave the door open if you don't want people to come in. The detail cop followed me to the personal aisle where I was trying to find deodorant and informed me that I was disrespectful for coming to shop so late. After sending the policeman on duty to straighten me out the manager hurried in front of me to close the register in my face and was too happy to let me know the register was closed and I wouldn't get the items that I needed. The policeman then escorted me out the door pointing telling me what a decent human being would do and that I was playing the victim role. I read this morning Walmart managers are making 400,000 per year. Customer service should improve with this type of salary. read more

Completely unsatisfactory. Dawn, the department manager over the jewelry department, is completely useless as a manager and employee. She watched me wait for assistance, even though I asked 3 different times. The only time she moved was when I found a different manager then she offered to help. If she represents Walmart customer service then you all should seriously consider shutting down the department. The 5 stars I have provided in my review go to Zion. I was in Walmart yesterday looking for minced ginger and I could not locate the product. As I walked down the spice isle, Zion was stocking the shelves. I greeted Zion and he returned with a greeting. I asked " Where can I find minced ginger"? Zion stopped what he was doing to assist me. He removed his phone from his pocket and searched for the item on the Walmart app., As Zion proceeded to search the app, I asked his name. Worst Walmart I've shopped and the worst in our town. Garden center rarely open and not a soul ever working in it. Employees can often be found around the store with earbuds in or actively on their phones. Who wants to even ask for help if an employee doesn't look approachable or as if they could engage in conversation? Too many self check-outs and not enough staff members at registers. read more

This WalMart has experienced a recent move as it was originally located abt 800 feet west of its current location. This WalMart seems larger and of course it's a SUPER WALMART as it has food and non-perishable items. Only thing this one doesn't have it a tire installing department. Prior to Hurricane Katrina, circa 2005, this WalMart was 24hours; sadly it's that no longer.... ahhhhh RATSSSS!!!!! Stopped by on Xmas eve.. I was trying to ask two of the works about the potato's that was covered up. They played like they didn't see me for 2 mins while I stood there and they talked so I found another worker to ask. She was and older Asian lady and she responded nice but the 2 works in the deli ignored my presences. It was a lady and a man. I was in the area and figured I would go ahead and stop in to get the few things I needed so I wouldn't have to stop again closer to home. Well. One of the items I needed was on the top shelf. I am short, and had abdominal surgery less than a week earlier. After seeing some employees, I approached them and asked for help. They pretended to not speak English, though I could clearly hear them speaking to each other in English when I approached them and then they were laughing as I walked away. I left, purchasing nothing. I was still in some pain from my surgery and was walking funny. The above ladies did mention handicapped people in a derogatory manner. I did go to the customer service counter at the front and complain to the manager there. He stated he would speak to the employees, but made no effort to come get the item in question for me, nor did he ask someone else to assist me. Too bad for all involved. read more

When you find a product you haven't seen for a time it's like ok I'll buy x amount.you feel bad knowing others won't find it or have it. But mizers is worth the 10% restocking fee on most items, hit sales and buy meat in bulk in Mississippi etc..but I know I know bargains u can find at wallies I know..I am sadden me when I go knowing no cashers, they out there filling orders to carry out to cars...I've worked wallies knowing at night the noise of us ants throwing goods on shelves is no more. HORRIBLE customer service. Requested 2 hour or less delivery. Order not showing in app, so I called the store. The lady just said they can't tell me anything. She doesn't see the order. Yet, there is a pending charge on my debit card for the order. Said an order just came in, but she can't tell me if it's mine or not. Told her I need to know if they have my order because I don't want to pay a $17.95 fee for 2 hours or less IF THEY CANT DELIVER TO ME. Her response was - "ma'am, we've picked 400 orders today." So what?!? If you can't fulfill and deliver as promised, DON'T CHARGE FOR IT AND DON'T TAKE THE ORDER! Went into the store. It's filthy. Bathrooms so disgusting, we couldn't even use them. They will give u the worst produce or replace/substitute items without authorization... when ordering home delivery the groceries usually arrived 1-2 hours later then the scheduled time. It rang up $10 more than the price marked I asked to show the cashier to fix the problem and the manager just told me no and removed the item from me. This is probably one of the least favorite Walmart locations to visit. I felt rad going because I know I cannot be in and out in a timely fashion. I try to Avalos this place until late at night hoping there will not be many people. They have a good selection of items however when you check out, be prepared to wait in line for 20 minutes. I've been I. This location and the line s have went back into the clothing section. Even self check out has been snaked all the way back to frozen foods. I went last night around 8:00. There were long lines in self checkout with 2 registers open. It's kind of annoying. Only go if you must. read more

This location is 24 hours, which is rare for the Greater New Orleans area! This location is very clean and mostly stocked. I only like coming at night though. In the daytime is is VERY busy. Since it is right off of Gause it receives a lot of traffic. But when you do come at night it's very easy to shop through, and the night time people are a lot friendlier. It has a lot more items than most, but it lacks a fabric area. That was disappointing when I was looking for cheap fabrics. It does however has an in-store McDonalds, a nail shop, and a money center. The carts are ALL raggedy. They all pull to one side, or have one wheel stuck. Absolute junk. I tried to check my balance at the ATM today, and the thing was out of paper. EVERY SINGLE WALMART SUCKS. This one sucks more than most. But you need to save those few dollars in this crappy economy, so you HAVE to go to a Walmart. It's a catch 22. Headache from going to Walmart so I can save those dollars? Or no headache or wait from going to a couple other stores to get what I need, but pay those extra dollars to NOT have to go to Walmart? Ok. You're at a Walmart. You're GOING to wait in line behind half a dozen other people while most of the other registers are closed. That's old Walmart saving money on not hiring cashiers. But THIS Walmart just always seems worse than others. I don't even use the front registers anymore. I just go in thru the Garden center and check out there because it has less people most of the time... at other Walmarts. At this one, you'll wait in a line behind a few people even at the Garden Center because they're fed up with the front registers as well. Why is it that this Walmart always seems to be completely out of what I need? Look, there is a Walmart across town that is a 3 star Walmart. Save yourself a little bit of that headache you're gonna get anyway from going to a Walmart and go to the other one. Instead of actually going to this Walmart, I'd really rather pay higher prices elsewhere to avoid the checkout lines and probability that they will be out of what it is that I need, and that defeats the purpose of Walmart's business model, doesn't it? As far as Walmart goes, this location is pretty decent. This location carries a wide assortment of products, everything from electronics to groceries. The shelves are mostly well stocked and the quality varies depending on what you get. Generally, prices here are higher in comparison to other local stores. As far as groceries go, this location serves as a fully functional supermarket. Their selection doesn't match the local Rouses, but they do carry most of the basics. Aside from some packaged meats and produce, they don't carry much in the area of fresh foods. The quality is decent, but not the best in the area. They carry a pretty decent selection of personal health and hygiene related products, but the area around the pharmacy suffers from poor crowd control. For the kids and collectors, this location does have a pretty decent selection of toys and games. Gamers will also be pleased to find a decent offering of video games. This location also carries an assortment of electronics and movies. I would not recommend purchasing music from here due to the lack of unedited editions. Shoppers can expect to find a variety of tools and home goods as well, mostly basics. I would not recommend any of the clothing though, the lack of quality negates any of the savings found. They got goods for pets too. Overall, this is a pretty decent Walmart. It does suffer from a crowding problem, but is mostly clean and well stocked. It wouldn't be my first choice to shop in the Slidell area, but it also wouldn't be my last. It's basically your average Walmart store. read more

Tonight was a total nightmare. Me and my fiance have been working all day and went to Walmart to get some dinner and a bottle of wine. Well' proceeding to the self check out area once checking out my groceries the screen prompted that I would need the approval of an associate to buy the wine. I m thirty years old and I showed her my ID but was told that I wouldn't be able to purchase the wine because I have a duplicate ID. I have never had any problems buying alcohol in the past. I had to then leave my groceries and run out to the parking lot to get my fiance so he could use his ID but they were immediately very rude towards him when he came in saying that they would not sell him the wine because I tried to purchase it. My fiance was very upset by this and told the people working that we needed assistance we were then told we would have to wait and one of the employees got a police officer who was working. I have never been so embarrassed and dealt with so harshly. All we wanted to do was get our dinner and have a nice night. The people working in the self check out area tonight should be fired for their extremely unproffesional behavior. My fiance could have been arrested tonight for absolutely nothing. We will never be going to this Walmart again. read more

There is a first time for everything, and sometimes it is also the last. I was at the pharmacy "consultation" window and was the only one there (had a question on ibuprofen that was very simple but wanted confirmation). The larger guy in the blue vest told the guy in the white vest not to help me, but to help a person who recently walked up to a different counter because (his words, referring to me). "He's just talkin' to ya." After that, nobody would come over and address me even when nobody else was there. I eventually left without an answer. There are many places to deal with pharmaceuticals around here (such as the rite-aid less than a mile away) that can probably provide better service than this place. *** If they don't care about their customers, why would you trust them with your pharmaceuticals?*** read more

I come here once a year on my way to an annual canoe trip. It serves its purpose as a last minute one-stop-shop. Usually just get ice and McDonald's breakfast. And use the bathroom. I go to this wal-mart weekly. Yes, there is a bird that flies around, but it doesn't hurt people. I guess it just happened to get in there one day and they can't get it out. The aisles are clean. Their produce is normal for a wal-mart. I would suggest avoiding going here at night on a weekend, they don't have enough cashiers. Having 7 out of 27 open and lines into the clothes section isn't necessary. Hire people. To the person who left the first review, our Target doesn't have groceries, so we don't have the ability to buy groceries there. read more

Automotive Dept.-Terrible Customer Service - Got a flat and went to this Walmart to get it fixed. Was told that they had two flats and a car ahead and they would be closing in about an hour and there were only two guys working but they would get us in if they got done in time. My husband told her he would go try and fix the flat and purchased the flat repair kit from her. So he fixed the flat in front of the tire place but the tire was warped and had to be replaced. Went back inside to see about replacing the tire and was told by the girl at the front desk in front of two customers that she told us that they were closing in an hour and there were two cars ahead of us as she points to the two customers waiting behind us. We explained that we're were out of town and my husband told her we needed to replace the tire since the tire was not drivable. She asked what size we needed and proceeded to get the tire and roll it to the cash register. I looked at my husband and asked him, "Do you think she doesn't realize it needs to be mounted?" I asked her will it be mounted and she said no there wasn't time. I asked could she check with someone and see since we were out of town. So she went and checked again and came back and said if we could make it to the next Walmart - Northshore which was two exits down they were open till 7. (Why we weren't told this in the beginning I don't know. It would of made an already stressful situation less stressful since we still had 9 hours to drive.) Throughout our conversations with her we had to keep asking her to repeat herself since we could barely hear her most of the time. I just thanked her for the info and we left. We did make it to the other Walmart on our little spare tire. The two guys working there were very helpful and was able to replace our tire. I work in customer service and am really disappointed in the service we received from the Natchez Walmart. I felt that that they could care less about our predicament and just wanted us out of there even though we were calmly talking and trying to get some help. read more
