This place has changed so much in 3 years, the first time coming to this super Walmart I was excited being that they had everything. Customer service was good and then it changed drastically, when you walk up there's always people just hanging outside for what ever reason it's not professional When I come here to shop seems that the best time is at the end of the month because any other time they have empty spaces on the shelf. I hope I never have to go back Someone asked me to pick up an item for them at this Walmart. Even though I had a miserable experience the last time I tried to pick something up, I agreed. I looked up the times, found that the pick-up service opens at 8:00 a.m. and went at 8:05 this past Saturday. I was pleased to see that there were no other customers in the service area. The service rep told me to enter my information into the computer stationed there. After 3 different tries to try to have it read the barcode off my phone or find my name I appeared to have some success. I was told to watch on the monitor above for details about my order. The monitor was off. The service rep said she would page someone. No one came. Another service rep came in to work behind the counter. Another page was made. No one came. Finally at 8:25 I called the phone number showing on the computer screen and someone answered and said he was almost there. The person who should have been at work at 8:00 finally showed up at 8:30. No apologies from anyone for my 25 minute wait. This place makes me angry. I never want to go there again. read more

THE WORST STORE EVER! Went to return the bike AGAIN and they didn't know what to do without a receipt. Spent another half hour waiting for someone who could look up my transaction on an old computer with green and black text. No lie. This software was from the 1980's. Mardweya walks by and shouts at someone to help me and then runs away because she's probably the worst manager I've seen in a long time. Monique, the other ghetto manager starts giving me attitude. At this point, I should be the one giving her attitude. Advice: Don't shop at Walmart, just don't. If you do, don't try and return something without a receipt. It's near impossible. Worse shopping experience ever. Long lines to check out ANYTIME of day. So much staff walking along the floor and yet no one ready to assist you and not enough cashiers to clear the lines. The service staff are very unprofessional, and don't try to return anything, the lines are even longer and the staff while the staff decide to have personal conversations while waiting on customers. Worse than this parking is ridiculous, always packed and there is only one way in and out of this multi business plaza. The twp and builder should be shamed. Now they have locked up personal items like body wash, soap, make up and a few others. You have walk everywhere to get an associate to open the cases which takes forever. For this franchise to be so big, they need to do better. Apparently they pay well, the employees need to actually start earning their money by actually working! read more

What a dump!! I HATE this Walmart and will never return again. I only go here out of desperation but after my last visit I refuse to ever step foot into this location again. It's small so the aisles are very narrow but I understand they only have so much room to work with. Still, it's almost claustrophobic at times and like being at a local fair's bumper car ride only it's with shopping carts. Seriously, try to shop here and not be completely frustrated by the time you leave. However, It's really the employees that make this hell-hole an even worse experience. Don't ask them anything because they won't have an answer. They are either too busy listening to their headphones or joking around with one another and complaining about their jobs. Once I heard two guys stocking the shelves talking about which associates they wanted to have sex with. Yeah, really classy. I try to use the self checkout but on my last visit several cashiers were open so I figured why not? I was friendly, asking how are you doing. The cashier muttered under her breath a greeting that was barley audible, as if it was excruciatingly painful to reply to me. She over charged me and I brought it to her attention in a very polite manner as I was not upset. She was immediately defensive telling me "no I didn't", before even looking at my receipt. When she realized she had overcharged me she said "go to customer service" in the most deadpan delivery possible. I looked over at customer service with the line more than 15 customers deep and decided I would just leave. I don't think they restock the shelves in this one anymore. Frozen food aisle is pretty much empty of Hungry Man's, Marie Callendar, Stouffers and others and have been that way for a month. Prices at the register are different than what they are listed. Green Peppers say 74 cents on the bin and are 88 at the register. Roma tomatoes say 1.49/lb on the bin and are 1.68 at the register. Really annoying. And of course the lack of blue baskets and small shopping carts. If you only want a few things you still have to push a huge shopping cart around and play bumper cars with everybody else. Place is just going downhill and nobody seems to care read more

This Walmart (400 State Road in Springfield) is one of the worst I've been to. I placed an order online to pickup in store. The assumption is that this will save you time. For the amount of time I waited I could have filled a shopping cart. To give you context I arrive at 8 am there is no line in the customer service area and no other customers waiting to pick up online orders. I enter my information in and wait. There are 3 associates standing around talking to each other no one in a rush to help the customer. After waiting 10 minutes a grab a manager who's walking by and explain I've been waiting for my online order. The manager instead of investigating the delay brushes me off on to someone else. This associate is in absolutely no rush and walks at the slowest speed possible to retrieve my items. After about 15 minutes I finally get my order. My issue I came in contact with at least 4 associates and 1 manager with no other customers in sight. Why did it take that long?? I placed a TV on layaway at this store. 10 days later I went to pick it up around 6pm. Since I was doing some additional shopping, I didn't get a chance to open it up until the next day. Upon setting the TV up (not even 24 hours later) I noticed the screen was cracked. I immediately placed the TV back in the box and headed back to the Wal-Mart to get another one. When I arrived, I went to the return department and presented my receipt for the return. The cashier began to process the order and she stopped and said the TV that's in the box doesn't have the same serial number as the one on the box so they could not take it back! At first I had no clue what that meant so I asked to speak with a manager to resolve this. After that encounter, I spoke with their corporate office only to find out that the so called manager said I was trying to commit fraud and that I purchased the TV that I'm trying to return now...in August when I wasn't even in the state of PA in August. Lies!!!! I took a day off from work to come in and speak with the store manager and his ignorance was overwhelming! All this and I'm out of 480.00 because of internal theft!! I'm pushing forward with my case through legal action but I would advise anyone who buys electronic merchandise from this store to be aware! Check your products before leaving the store. Ridiculous lines at the checkout. Both of the so-called speedy checkout lines are closed. WTH?

This review is specifically about their bakery. Walmart has a large selection of designs for specialty cakes so I decided to choose one of these for a baby shower I was hosting. I ordered the cake on a Tuesday to be picked up at 10 am the following Sunday as I had to be at our venue by 11 to set everything up. I was really excited about it because the design of the cake was super cute and fit perfectly with the theme of the shower. I received a call on Sunday morning at 9 telling me that the cake would not be done until 11 am! I was very upset as this caused a delay for getting to the venue to set up. I got there at 11 and the cake still wasn't ready! It wasn't ready until 11:15. When I saw the cake I was very disappointed. The cake was done very sloppily and did not look nearly as nice as the sample in their brochure. My event was in less than an hour at that point and I still had to go to the register to pay and then drive to the venue. I had no time to argue or have them redo it so I just took the cake and tried to make the best of it by adding a couple of decorations to it when I got to the venue. The one plus side was that the cake was fresh and tasted good. However, I would not recommend this bakery for custom cakes. read more

Called. Was on hold for 10 minutes (until I hung up) trying to get transferred to Bakery. That's ridiculous. Finally went into the store and they said they couldn't make the cake because the decorator was on vacation and the only other person doesn't come in until an hour before I wanted the cake done by. Needless to say staffingb shouldn't be a reason why I can't get service. Time before that I ordered a cake and it instantly fell apart and I got a full refund. This Walmart is a disgrace, you can walk past any other store front in this shopping center and they are kept clean as soon as you reach Walmart's property you see nothing but trash thrown everywhere. This is not a one time offense either I am in this shopping center all the time. Now to the interior, the layout of the store is poorly done. I stopped in to buy a toy for christmas and some of the aisles were so dark it was difficult to see because they weren't in line with the lights overhead. How do I dislike Walmart? Let me count the ways. I wish there were enough numbers. One of my absolute least favorite things is visiting a Walmart. What a depressing experience. From the moment you walk in you realize that happiness has just been sucked out of the air. Not only are the employees forlorn, but the customers are too. It's one giant wet blanket. There's rarely a smile, from anyone. And never from an associate. I went in to purchase an item in electronics. I spoke with a female associate who had to ask another person. He did take me to the right area, but was little help. After I chose the item I wanted I started to follow him until I realized he wasn't taking me to the register. He just walked out of the department without a word. It turns out he handed it off to someone else. This person rung me up with as few words from her mouth as possible. It's as if she would be penalized for speaking too much. My biggest fear is having to go back if I have to return the item I purchased. :-( read more

Walmart should do a better job with training their employees. I walked in at about 11 pm . I seen at least 3 employees in aisles, and other sections . After about shopping for about 15 minutes, I was greeted by an employee that rudely said, "we're closed." I asked where can we pay and he rudely responded again, "All registers are down." So naturally I'm irritated. As I turn to leave a nice young man told me that I can check out. LOVE my Walmart.... out west where I'm from.... NOT ANY in the metro Philly area, especially this one in Springfield, although its better than the one in Eddystone. Out west they are actually nice stores where you can enjoy the shopping experience. Here? Shelves are empty, employees are lazy and stupid (six pack of ice cream still shrink wrapped and shoved randomly in various freezers except for the right one, employees overheard saying she didn't care how she stocked shelves since she was only there for the paycheck and shoving office supplies in between bolts of cloth, random shelves that remain unstocked for weeks or longer, trash throughout the store and parking lot, oh the list can go on) and many of the customers are not much better (PJs and slippers, gangsta outfits, opening food products and leaving the remainder on a random shelf, rude and threatening to other customers, etc.). SLOW SLOW SLOW cashiers, they completely ran out of shopping bags for the entire store the other day, and if you're not there right as they open, the checkout lanes will back up 5-6-7-8 or more deep. I'm so disappointed in this region and this location, its not up to Sam Walton's standards. read more

I think this is the worst walmart I've ever been too! And I've been to pretty bad ones in Philly. I went to browse but ended up finding a few items of interest while I was there. The first item I found was for my nephew I literally seen it by chance it was hidden behind a pillar (who puts rack systems behind pillars?). There is random stuff just stacked on pallets in the middle of double wide isles which was an eyesore when trying to navigate your way through the store. On top of that I stopped in sporting goods to look for ammo I needed. The ammo case was SOOO UNORGANIZED there were no price tags in front of the ammo that was stacked above it and there were the same calibers mixed in with others all on the same shelf. Since I couldn't find what I needed I asked the woman working who was standing at the nearby register if she could look it up, she said no... Then I asked if she could open it up so I can look through it since it's extremely unorganized and that's when I found out she didn't understand or know how to speak much English. This was very disturbing so I asked her to call someone who could allow me to look through the case. She did and when that person came his badge said asst manager I believe his name was Brandon. He opened the case was very polite but I asked him what was going on with the case that was so unorganized, he basically replied that it's just thrown in the case whenever it comes in where ever it fits in. I was blown away, but he knew that and agreed it was such a mess. Furthermore I explained what I was looking for and showed him grain differences and caliber differences after being told he didn't know anything about it. I wonder why it is the way it is (sarcasm). Probably because he doesn't know anything about ammunition nor does he care to know he just throws it in there obviously. Even when price checking two ammo items the one came up such a high price for 20rds I questioned him to make sure that was the right one and looked at the screen. The ammo was coming up completely different then what it actually was. There charging $25 for 20 rds of .223 ammo, that's not anywhere close to what it should cost. This all must be checked in and priced wrong because no one knows what they are doing and even cares to know anything about ammunition. This is a disgrace and I will be forwarding this experience to corporate. read more

Avoid this walmart at all costs!!! I bought a desk for my daughter's bedroom and had it delivered there to save time. I got an email that said it would be delivered on 7/13. When I called the store everyone of the employees just seemed like they couldn't wait to get off the phone. No one could tell me if the desk was there. I finally asked for the manager and was transfered back to customer service. Every one just seemed annoyed that they were on the phone. Finally I got the manager and told him how rude and ignorant the staff was and he could care less. He transferred med to some one else and the desk was there. When I got to the store I was able to match the people with their voices and realized they just do not care about the customers. Poor hiring, poor training, and I am sure poor wages!!! read more
