Don't get in Walmart's delivery trap. their people stink physically and have attitudes. I have reported this with no success. I've been trying to stop Walmart from taking money out of my account to no success for over three years. They have scammed me for over $450. I made several calls this morning with no success, even talking to People in India that said they couldn't see where they were taking my money. I finally shut my bank account down to stop this. Definitely a very challenging Walmart to get in and out of. I turned too early and went on an unwanted scenic long drive through the countryside in an effort to reroute back. Once I finally got in the parking lot it was a great shopping experience. WORST Walmart Supercenter ever. Employes are very rude. I have asked for help finding an item and was told if it's not on the shelf we don't have it. I was using the self-checkout, when a snotty, little employee almost knocked me down hurrying to get to a friend of hers who walked in. Customer service would not let me use their phone to call a cab, I had to use another customer's phone. HQ really needs to step it up with this store. Secret Shoppers would be a very good idea. Great Grocery Pick Up service. Staff is friendly, courteous and the service is quick and easy. No more finding a parking spot. No more dodging cars while walking in the store. No more pushing a cart up and down aisles dodging people and their carts. No more standing in line at the check out counter. Now I order my groceries from my home on my computer. I pick a day a time for pick up. They text and email me when my order is ready. I respond with I'm on my way. When I arrive I pull in one of the designated parking spots, call them and out they come with my groceries. The best service ever. Order are always correct and the staff is always professional and friendly. before this store started the service I used the service at Walmart on Grand. They were Excellent as well. I now use the W Sunshine store because it's a 5 minute drive vs a 7 minute drive and easier to get in and out of the pick up area. read more

This Walmart in my opinion is one of the least favorite in the Springfield area. I think it because the store usually isn't the cleanest and the parking lot usually looks unkept also. I had my three year old daughter with me and walked into a cloud of cigarette smoke from a couple of employees smoking on the side of the building. This location is closer to my house but we usually use the republic neighborhood store or go to the east independence store. read more

I can say that the only reason I gave it a 3 is because for the most part the staff has always been pretty nice. It mainly has to do with their security guard. This isn't the first time i go there and they act so snotty to me for no reason. This Walmart has declined in quality of service over the years. Today I was told to make my purchase and then go to customer service to get money for the coupon the cashier couldn't get to scan. She said, "I don't know where the CSR's are and that would be quicker." I decided to call the store as I was leaving and speak to a member of Management. Although "Micheal" was apologetic, he seemed surprised that we waited for 5 minutes and no CSR showed up. Like I said, it's declined. Sad. read more

This Walmart on W Sunshine never has everything I need. I was happy when we moved here because its so close to my house. But its not really helpful if I cannot get everything on my list. Now I have to go to a different store. Its definitely not a one stop shop. I'll go somewhere else. Also hate the all self checking. Stick a fork in me, I'm done. The people working there a very nice. I have no complaints about that. But most of them are not really helpful because there's no one around to help. Since this Walmart has remodeled its has been extremely difficult to navigate the store. Shelves are not stocked and everything has been moved around. I HATE the self check out. If I could give the folks in the Automotive department their own review, they'd get 5 stars. The people in electronics and deli are pretty helpful, too. This would be a 1-2 star review if it weren't for their friendliness. But my experiences with all other departments haven't been the best, with home and garden being the worst. The store has a good selection, well, because it's Walmart. But the overbearing security, secret shoppers, and disrespectful employees, kind of ruins the experience when you've had a long day and just need some groceries. I'm not expecting to be treated like a king or something, but at least a semblance of kindness to paying customers would be appreciated. Cleanest and best organized supercenter in Springfield. I can usually find what I need quickly and be on my way without a lot of hunting . The associates are usually friendly and willing to help if you are unable to find something. I rarely run into a problem finding the items I came for. I usually go through self checkout and it moves pretty quickly when all of the registers are running, but a lot of the time only half of them are working. read more

The customer service is so rude in this store I went in there to buy a few items on 4/18/20 , and realized that a garden hose holder that I purchased was not in my cart , I returned to the customer service and some skinny young blond witch Who claimed to be a a manager said they reviewed the tape, and claimed that they saw me put it in my cart, and there was nothing they could do,she said I was out of luck because I walk out of the store, All I wanted was another 12.00 dollar hose holder and all she can do is laugh at me .I called her a bitch and left the store saying I will not shop here Or any other Walmart again I'm 58 years and have spent alot of money over the years at Walmart , another thing, as I was driving off this assistant manager was with a group of her workers and they were laughing more at me. Terrible experience. I went shopping at this Wal-Mart Supercenter about 9:00pm, only to be treated like crap from several employees. The young lady working behind the counter was ha ted her job and it showed. I ask to call a cab (my only way home) twice I ask and twice she COMPLETELY ignored me. Then when she did she told me their phone wouldn't let them call out. I had NO way home and have always had them call for me. Finally another employee using Wal-Mart's phone made the call with easy. Shook her head when I told her what had happened. THEN at the self check out, the young lady (employee) kept pushing my cart aside to get to her friends visiting. She should have walked down an empty aisle. She was very rude. Also Wal-Mart prices have gone up a lot. I'll be taking my business to HyVee, for quality and service they beat Wal-Mart in every way. My wife and I recently tried to purchase our WIC groceries at this location. They did not want to honor the checks we had for baby food even though it is labeled as "WIC Approved". The products were in the WIC book provided by the state as well as clarified on the Missouri WIC website to be accepted on top of being confirmed by the local WIC office. At every level from cashier to assistant manager (William) my wife and I were disrespected and made to look like idiots in front of other customers because we "didn't understand how it works" according to the CSM (Heather). When we tried to provide them (via my cell phone) Missouri's WIC website showing that the products we wanted to purchase were in fact covered, William told me that "he didn't trust my phone and would not change his mind on the matter." He then proceeded to kick us out of the store when I showed frustration over his dismissiveness. After leaving this location we headed straight to another Walmart where the transaction went through without any problems. My wife called this location after being helped at the other to inform William that it was something that they should have done for us as well as expressing her dislike for the way they handled this situation. He told her, and I quote," You did it to yourself", and then hung up on my wife. I work in retail myself and I take pride in providing good customer service to people because that is how I would want to be treated. Apparently at this Walmart it is their goal to make sure the customer is as frustrated as possible and kick them out the door if they express any dislike for their treatment. My wife and I were appalled at the way we were treated today and cannot believe how the people that are put into management positions are so uneducated in the programs that they are involved in, as well as so easy to dismiss a legitimate customer concern from someone that has been shopping at this location for years. I bought apples (See picture below). Seemed a good deal for Granny Smith's, the sign above them said $1.12 - there was a "Mangers Special" going on. I loaded about 20 of them - and got some other items for the shelter I volunteer with. When I go to pay, they are ringing up at the regular price of 1.57, not the managers special of 1.12. I attempt to correct the check out person, they apologize politely, and call a Manager. When the Manager gets there, the check out person says "Its the apples again". The manager proceeds to tell me the "Managers Special" is referring to the Gala Apples, not the Granny Smith's. Were not too far from the produce, they point and I can see the sign above the Granny Smith's. I walk over and that is when I took the below picture. I came back to the manager, showed them the picture and asked "Why is the price above the Granny Smith's then?". The Manager looked at me with a wry smile and said "Because it's the Manager's Special". I said, "Then why dont you move the sign over the Galas?". The manager repeated "Because it's the Manager's Special", with the same wry smile. A line had started to form behind me. I scoffed and said "fine, go get me 20 galas." The manager said, "I'm sorry, were very busy you'll have to get those yourself". The Manager turned on their heels and sauntered slow off and resumed her conversation with the employees at the customer service desk. Do not visit this Walmart. Drive the extra mile to get to a different one. At least until they fix their management problem here. read more

THEIR PRODUCE IS AWFUL. Very limited selection and the worst quality anywhere. Every time we buy any of their produce we regret it. I don't know where they get the vegetables and fruit but it must be from wholesalers that could not sell the extremely poor quality items elsewhere. The rest of the store is often quite frustrating since they are very regularly of stock on items and they take weeks or months to re-stock. Countless times I have been there to buy a regular item and they are out of it. Then I come back in a couple of weeks or a month and they still have not stocked the shelf. It's astonishing that the store General Manager does not oversee this far better. It is well known and ongoing situation and this is the only Walmart I have seen run this poorly. Pretty pathetic that a giant corporation lets one store be run so poorly. read more

Auto service department here is excellent. I am picky as heck with my vehicles. These guys always do it right and in a timely fashion. I have had tires mounted and balanced for my jeep that I brought in on a trailer. Wy wife had her tires rotated. ( it's free for life of tires after a mount and balance). I rotate my own because I really am that picky. Also I have had her truck my Jeep and one if my motorcycles inspected there. They never tried any of the "Oh you need to replace this" junk so many others will use to rip you off during an inspection. So yes they get 5 stars. So many take Walmart's stars off because of their employee practices. It is what it is. I wish the employees made more, but heck I probably wouldn't be a Walmart CEO lol. You know about it before you walk in the door. I like going to farmers markets and such but this store is typically where I buy my families grocery's the place is well stocked. Great prices on beer and liquor :) I shop during non busy hours so I seldom have much of a wait at check out. I buy my motor oil here as they have a great selection. They even sell Mopar filters. They have camping and fishing supplies. Toys and games. During summer they sell plants and potting soil and plenty of garden and yard tools and supplies. There is a permanent, it seems clearance rack at the fishing department as well as a the back end cap of a pet isle and one in automotive although the prices seem to be not much of a clearance. I'm all for a deal but never seen anything I considered a deal on those racks. They also have an isle and a half of dedicated clearance stuff which is a hodge podge of random stuff that changes daily. It is next to the cosmetics. It usually has items from every department in the store accept grocery and garden. Sometimes there is a good deal there. Usually I end up buying my son a clearance toy from there. Not that it was a super clearance price but hey it's a couple bucks less. Overall I love this store. They have so much to offer. I go there several times a week and honestly have 0 negative experiences. Great place for almost anything! read more
