When I pay for a membership to shop at a store I expect there to be shopping carts available, not me having to walk into the parking lot and find one. You have about 500 carts at this store, maybe more, why would you NOT have any available? This Sams has come a long way with improvements to the meat they carry and remodels in the store. We still notice you have to really check produce and fruit for bad. they are not always consistent with products so if there's something you really like, that doesn't expire for a while you may want to stock up on it. There is always that chance it may not be there the next time you go. Do you still have great prices on certain items that justifies the membership fee so we will always continue our membership for those reasons you just have to be smart about what you're buying not everything is a great deal just because it's Sam's club. Don't forget to check the fuel prices outside they are usually cheaper than area gas stations. Every penny counts for some people. They still offer free hearing test for those in need of that in there optical department is the average I found their glasses to be more expensive than other places in town it may really depend on the insurance that you have. I do like how they have organized the check out. Pretty much put your card on one side and you stand on the other and let them deal with your food. They don't always take everything out of the cart so you unloading everything on the belt is unnecessary. We have found that items like coffee, coffee creamer, canned vegetables, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, Dog food, laundry detergent and seasonings are much cheaper at Sam's just to name a few items. Went to Sam's Optical for a simple Eye RX prescription for new glasses. Arrived early for an appt.; was told they were running behind. Had my eye exam, declined addl test & pics. Paid for exam, picked out frames. The teleheath DR. BREI, Refused to sign my prescription without me undergoing further tests. Extremely arrogant & rude. And stated he did not care I had been waiting 1.5 hr plus. Underwent the addl 'tests', & 2+ hrs still waiting for the Rude Dr Brei to 'agree' to sign my prescription. At checkout, the cashier threw my chips and my chocolate bark. I told her not to crush my chips as you cannot use dip or salsa with crumbs! She was rude and argued with me. Customer service at this location has gone so far down, they have lost mine and a lot of other peoples business. I pray that Costco would come to this area. I have never been treated with more disrespect at a company than Sams/Walmart. If you have a problem, their outlook to the customer seems like that it doesn't matter because we have so many customers, losing one or 2 doesn't matter. Bought 2 tires a while back and went back to day to buy 2 more. I noticed they put the new tires on the back before I went in so I advised the Counter person of this issue as they should of been on the front, and the new tires should go on the front. He was fine with that. Then while I am shopping he calls and said I moved the tires so my warranty was void. I was very upset and advised I did not touch the tires and I advised him of the issue when I came in and he was fine with it then. He finally agreed to to what I had said and kept the warranty on the tires. I was not happy being accused of that. If you take your car to Sam's Club on South Campbell for any tire work BE CAUTIOUS!!!!. Thursday we had new tires installed. They damaged all of the lug nuts by using the wrong size and depth socket, rounded the corners on every one. But more dangerously, they did not torque them down to spec! They should be at 140ft/lbs. Many of them were only FINGER TIGHT! I found only one per wheel even close to being tight enough! This kind of careless work could easily lead to a wheel failure while driving. If you have had and tire work done by this place, find a COMPETENT mechanic to check their work before you have a catastrophic failure while driving. read more

I love Sam's. To be honest, I really don't need to be shopping there since my family consists of my husband, the dog and I. And yet I could go there every single day. They have an excellent bakery, meat department, produce and housewares section. Also, you'll be in hooch heaven because they have a huge selection of wine, along withe steeply discounted hard liquor beer assortment. There are lots of customer services associates always available who are incredibly helpful. Oh, and did I mention they always have samples? You can literally get a free lunch/dinner just walking around and sampling everything they have to offer (which sometimes even includes wine). Apropos lunch and dinner. Sam's Cafe has the best and cheapest pizza combo in town along with some tasty salads and concretes. read more

I mistakenly grabbed a bag of flavored Dunkin' Donuts coffee, instead of the regular variety. When I brought it back to exchange it, I was given a 10 minute lecture on how Sam's club would now have to throw away the bag I returned. I was made to feel like I owed Sam's club for both bags of coffee. I also was lectured upon entry that my business membership was no longer "recognized" and I needed to obtain a new card, but they would ."do me a favor" and let me enter the store early. Parking is better than the east side store. Bakery is better, produce is better, people are grumpier.

Usually stop in here about once a week. Some items are a really good value saving you money while others are about the same price you would pay anywhere else. Shop smart and you can save money. I try to avoid the clothing as the material is extremely thin. Most of the time the gas is cheaper and we've saved up to ten cents a gallon before, occasionally it will be about the same price as the other stations in town. The car wash isn't that great it is often broken and when it's working doesn't get your car very clean. read more

This is not the place where I do my primary grocery shopping but there are some things that I will only buy at Sam's because they are an incredible value and extremely handy. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Who are these people and how long have they been working at Sam's? Seriously, no real reviewer would ever refer to somebody who works at a store as a "helpful customer service associate", much less three people here!!! C'mon now...nobody talks that way. Here's the scoop from a real customer: The produce prices are some of the highest in town. Even worse are the meat prices! Talk about outrageous! And there is so little meat selection I was stunned. It is not possible to do your grocery shopping every week here at Sams because of the small selection of foods, no matter what the prices are. Let's not kid anyone that you can. I have also never seen any "customer service associate" walking around to answer my questions about anything. Not once, not ever. The only people there are either working the registers or selling some product by giving away free samples. I concede that they are friendly, unless they are checking membership cards at the door. If you don't know enough to have your card ready to show as you enter, then beware of being accosted by some very rude people. They do have a big bakery, with lots of different breads. There are people behind the counter there to serve you, usually. They also sell cooked rotisserie chickens at the next counter, and at a good price.
