Unfortunately this is the Walmart closest to me. It is really convenient to my route when dropping off and picking up my daughter from school. I find it so reprehensible that I rarely use it now. The store is busy, there is always parking and there is always law enforcement there. I wish they could arrest them for theft by inaccurate pricing. The misplacing cannot be accidental. Its seems standard, almost planned and systematic. Just yesterday I screwed up and went to pick up a few things. 3 out of the 6 items were mis-priced. HALF!! I am a sucker for clearance items and sales and all of the "clearance" prices were wrong. I found out at the self checkout. When I showed it to the attendant he told me to go take a picture of the price. I protested that it wasn't my job, but he told me it was the protocol. When I went back to the sports section I found an attendant that was not there before and he checked me out and adjusted the pricing. but he forgot another I picked up while there that was also PRICED WRONG! He pointed it out and asked me if I wanted to take it upfront . . . . I was so furious already that I thought bring a known misplaced thing might put me over the edge. DO NOT GO HERE. I drove my wing man Gary to get his foot operated on Friday. When I picked him up after the operation we drive to the Walmart Supercenter to pick up his antibiotics and pain medicine. I went into the store with Gary's ID and credit card to pick it up. The pharmacy said they could not issue the pain pills, and it wasn't because I wasn't Gary, it was because they needed to know if the pain was chronic or not! The foot doctor had moved to a new office recently and the number the pharmacy had to contact him was no longer in service. They would not accept the new number from me, insisting that they would have to fax the doctor and wait for his reply. That means that poor Gary has to get by on Ibuprofen for the entire weekend. Gary tells me that every time he has to get a prescription here there is always a problem. I encouraged him to switch pharmacists. read more

Yeah, I have to deduct another star. I personally do not drink beer but my ex-husband does. He says beer bought cold which turns warm for obvious reasons doesn't taste the same. Therefore, when I buy him an occasional case of beer, I have to ask for warm bud light at Walmart. The answers I get to my request vary from "we only sell cold' to 'we don't have any.' My answers vary from "since when?' to 'would you like to check in the back before you say that?' What is wrong with these people? Do they think I'm new to the 'hood or what? The Walmart Supercenter #5218 in St. Petersburg, Florida is the area in which I live but in the future I will go out of my why to shop in a different store. Consistently the employees are rude and act as though it takes tremendous effort to do their jobs. We needed an employee to open a locked cabinet and flagged down and asked at lease 6 different employees to help us before one of them had a message go out over the intercom. We waited at least 25 minutes during this time and no one came. I know the locked cabinets are because of thief but I think we are not the only customers to leave without making a purchase and Walmart is loosing revenue and customers. read more

Review for their curbside order pick-up Desperate times call for desperate measures. My household has been taking safer at home very seriously. For this reason we have made the decision to avoid public spaces like grocery stores altogether. We were in a pinch and really needed to restock on some necessities. After some research it was concluded that Walmart's pick-up service would be the best route for this. Walmart's pick-up service is completely free, very timely, and extremely efficient. They give you the option to get "alternatives" if the things you order turn out to be unavailable. For some items (La Croix) I was more than happy to do so, I ordered coconut and it ended up being swapped to a pamplemousse (not mad). Other things however the idea of a swap made a me a little uncomfy (almond milk). When you put in your order you have several hours to adjust (add, opt in for swaps etc..) The pick-up process was easy. If you use the app you simply click "on the way," after arriving you park in numbered spot, and then enter that number. Within moments someone was at our window to confirm our order. Since you pay online it's completely contactless! They then load your groceries into the car for you, you don't even have to open the trunk! I was disappointed to see they were not wearing gloves. But I am so grateful that these employees are working quadruple hard right now to keep us all as socially distant as possible. KUDOS to these folks. Basically I totally recommend the Walmart pick-up order service. I can't speak to the quality/variety of product you get (I did get a bag of apples (we go through soooo many apples) and I have to be honest: NO, not worth it, stick to the pantry goods). read more

On 9/30/22 I went to this Walmart. I purchased two cat carriers on 9/26/22. I was in line at the customer service. The lady at desk said they weren't accepting returns and the system was down. She was African American. She only said it to me, the Caucasian woman in line. Their was an African American gentleman behind me with a return too. She didn't say it to him. I went to my car and called the store. A woman named Cynthia in the clothing department answered and said they were not accepting returns because of the hurricane. The customer service lady had lied. I asked to speak to a supervisor as my purchase was well before, and had nothing to do with the storm. She refused to let me. She started yelling at me, wouldnt let me speak, and then hung up on me. I went to a different Walmart that accepted the return. He said they had been instructed to not do returns for items purchased on the 27&28. Mine was purchased the 26. Walmart made record profits during the storm. Breaking their return policy and taking advantage of a hurricane is disgusting and should be illegal. The ladies from the first Walmart didn't even look at my receipt. They told only me, that no they couldn't accept my return. I'm positive they helped the man behind me. That's outright discrimination. I will do my best to never shop at Walmart again. Discrimination, racism, and corporate greed are not what I want to be a part of. read more

We shop at 201 34th St N, St Petersburg, FL 33713. I believe one of my husband's ex-girlfriends works in this Walmart that we shop online and in-store at. Personally, I truly never who he messed with when we were apart, those are just come and go relationships. However, now that we are together, married and one, we don't need problems from local rejects or their families. More likely than not, there is a problem shopping there either with the delivery service, the freshness of the food, missing food not marked unavailable, and orders made that only appear on our bank account and not our Walmart account (inside jobs). Today, after making an order, that someone in that store called one of our crazy neighbors (we have many) who tried to harass us just because we placed an order. That cost the delivery woman her tip. Grant it, we do not have to tip, but more importantly we certainly don't have to tip and then in return be harassed. This has gone on for years and complaining about it doesn't help. I ended up at Walmart looking for a couple of bicycles after spending. 30 minutes at Target with absolutely no one willing to help me. Thankfully Travis at Walmart was very helpful with figuring out the pricing on the huge selection of bikes. Of course the two I wanted were hanging above. Travis got them down for me, rang them up at the sporting goods counter, rolled one out to my car and loaded both of them for me. He absolutely refused to accept a tip. What a great experience. Certainly not what I was expecting at a very busy Walmart. I tried calling the store to tell his manager how great he was but was unable to reach anyone. I wish I could give this place -10 stars! Omg, never will come here again. It's not a safe place. The kind of people that shop and hang out here are bad enough, yet during the Covid crisis, this place does not enforce social distancing and the people here have no regard for it! Small store, poorly stocked, most items were not available. Store is a mess. While waiting in the very long lines, I watched people walking out with stuff in their hands that they had grabbed and not paid for... Of course, we know there's nothing you can do about people like that, so they know they can just walk in and grab what they want and take it and walk out with no consequences. We were all directed to head out one particular door off the front after checking out, and some folks in a car parked loading/blocking the door, forcing people to back up shoulder to shoulder to try to get out of the store. Dangerous! There was no way to "social distance" in this store, nor was it enforced. People constantly walking into us and into our space. In attempting to exit the store and seeing that we were blocked in a crowd right next to and very close to many other people, I mentioned something to the people who had their car pulled up at the one very small exit area, and the inconsiderate man called me and f'ing Bitch and then kept hollering at me threatening me as I walked to the parking lot. BEWARE if you attempt to shop here! I'll never go back! The management of the store should be embarrassed and ashamed. read more

I went to this store after being referred there by Walmart.com to correct and issue with my order. I purchased a cell phone online and it was not scanned correctly so I could not activate it. Courtney, the manager (name tag said team leader but she said she was the manager), first said I should go back to the electronics department. I explained that I already did that and they sent me to customer service. She the said that she cannot do anything with a phone and then that she did not know how to get it scanned. I explained that according to her electronics department, it had to be returned and then resold to me. She called for someone in electronics and then left. The nice guy from electronics (who was the only one who even tried to help (I wish I had got his name) came up and said the same thing that I had had said. He left and Courtney came back and the first thing she said was, that I could walk myself back to electronics. After trying to explain to her and her refusing to do anything to help, I call the Walmart online support again. I spoke to an agent who said the needed to use a UPC code to do the refund. I asked him to to speak to Courtney and he agreed. Courtney took the phone (my cell phone) and walked away. As she walked she said something and I said I did not hear here, and she snapped, I wasn't talking to you. She spoke to the agent who told her how to proceed and she refused again because I did not have the phone changer ( I was not returning the phone so I did not bring it. I was told they would just refund the phone and then resell it. I just brought the box and phone and SN# card.) She told the agent on the phone that I was causing her trouble. I was just there at the direction of Walmart to get help with an issue caused by Walmart, I was not trying to get a refund or credit. Courtney's attitude was unhelpful from the beginning, she never once made an attempt to actually help only had negative things to say and reasons why she would not help. I customer asking for help is not causing trouble. Why Walmart would have someone as nasty as her in a customer service position is beyond me. Shopping for items that you need is easy. You ask were something is and they bring you to it most of the time The store is pretty good except for the long lines at the register. Also the deli there chicken was dry and looked like it was out from the day before. Mac n cheese was the same. When you ask for fresh chicken you get told that's it or don't buy it! What a joke. If I could give zero stars, I would. Literally three blocks from my house in Kenwood. However, it is well worth avoiding at any cost. I just called there to get a price on a 32 inch television. Customer service kept hanging up on me, electronics would hang up on me, no one seemed to know how to transfer a call. After SEVEN PHONE CALLS, I finally reached someone in electronics named Colleen, and she said they were all out of stock anyway. It doesn't matter what time you go, there are never enough cash registers open, and the lines are long. Forget cashing a check at customer service. If there are less than ten people in line, it's a good day. My ex husband sent a television to my daughter and we went to pick it up at the store. We waited for 35 minutes while the employee searched for it. And we were the first people in line. It's not worth it. Cigarette butts litter the front sidewalk, panhandlers hit you up in the parking lot, and the employees are less than interested in helping you out. I would much rather drive to Publix, or the mall, even if it means paying more. read more

Still 2-stars, but for different reasons. They've hired better greeters, but got worse cashiers. The place is still usually kinda dirty, but eh. Lately the staff have no idea where anything is, made worse by the fact that they keep changing their stock. They stopped selling a $9 20-pound bag of pet food I get, so now I have to pay more for a $6 10-pound bag. They stopped carrying individual cans of tea in favor of 12-packs. The employees don't seem to understand the layout of the place, like how the soy sauce is with the "gluten free" and "tea", or whether pineapple juice is on the juice aisle, the drink aisle, or if they even carry it. Staff are still relatively friendly and professional, as well as can be said for a Walmart. read more

I live very close to this Walmart so I've visited many times. Every time sucks. There are frequently large holes in the shelves and not enough staff to man the registers. It is nearly 5:30 on a Monday and there are lines a dozen people deep at the registers. The girl in line behind me works here (as well as her mother) and she keeps saying that walmart is cutting everyone's hours back. The management here baffles me. read more

UPDATE: 9/13. I just had a medical procedure and wanted to verify they had this particular drug IN STOCK before i schlepped out there for nothing. They refused to tell me over the phone if this drug was in stock. SO, yes I had to schlepp down there to see IF they could fill my prescription and guess what! They didn't have it in stock. So here i am in pain and having to find another drug store to fill my prescription. It took me 2 1/2 frigging hours to get relief thanks the the inept buffoons at wal-mart pharmacy I went to pick up my meds at the pharmacy. For the past year, Walmart has advertised on TV they will match any competitors price. In this case, I always asked them to match the Publix price of "free" for one of my meds and they have. Imagine my surprise when i was informed today they would no longer honor their advertisement of matching competitors price. I will transfer my meds to Publix and Walmart will lose my business both in the pharmacy & food shopping dollars.
