NORDSTROM RACK From…read morethe scattered reviews I read, I decided to stop at Nordstrom Rack. I was only three miles from their Brandon store and in need of a few men's shirts and dress pants. I was aware that Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of the luxury department store chain, Nordstrom. I went there not expecting Walmart or other merchants prices. I found the men's shirts and pants racks and found several items that were the color and size I was looking for. A shirt that listed at $198.98 was on sale reduced 68% to a mere $74.96. It was a regular long sleeve shirt by Polo, Ralph Lauren. With all due respect to India where the shirt was made, I wondered what costly threads were used to make such a pricey shirt. The same was true of the pants and several other items. Mind you that these items in the off price store were on yet another discounted clearance rack in the store. Nordstrom may want to rethink their sales techniques at their chain of stores before people start realizing it's not a really an off price store.

The cashier said these items are on sale, you get 50% off this item and 30% off this item and your total is $29.95, would you like to sign up for an Old Navy credit card? I said no thank you and the price in front of me, on the credit card screen went from $29.95 to $69.95. Since when do sales people actually increase the price on the screen when you decline a credit card? Why not say before the transaction, if you sign up for a store credit card you will be entitled to a discount? Its dangling a low price and then punishing a client when they decline. Im taking my purchase back tomorrow to make a point and will never shop Old Navy. Worst store clerk training I have ever seen. Probably will go out of business.

A friend needed a new bra!…read more Here's a hint for all the women who might come across this: If you gain/lose more than 20 pounds, it's time to get re-fitted in your bra. I guarantee that you're NOT what you were before. Since I can usually visually size very well, I took my friend over to Ross, and found a few different styles for her to try on. One thing I HATE about Ross is that their lingerie sections are horribly kept. It doesn't matter which one I visit, the bras are disgusting. They are never in order, they are always messed up, Finding a size is like an easter egg hunt. GOOD LUCK! But we did find a few of the sizes I suggested - I generally suggest two, different band/cup combo's because Go up a band, go down a cup, is kind of how it works. And you HAVE to try them on. Well, after 3 different ones, we found one that she liked and it was only $6.99 +tax. After that, I looked around and saw nothing I either didn't already have or nothing I wanted. Heck, I even played personal shopper for a complete stranger. Yes, life is fun when you have very few inhibitions. Ross is great when you need something and you just don't know what!

If it isn't too crazy, the dressing room attendants help you out, especially if you have more than 8 items to try on. They'll switch out clothes as you try them on. My cashier was nice as well. The swimsuit selection was pretty sad. Of course, 'tis the season for spring breakers so I may have just been a bit late to the game. And finally, the store was very clean and still pretty organized which is a miracle at these kind of stores.

Unfortunately, I was in a bit of a rush because I had procrastinated and needed the suit ready in less than 1 month. All the shops I had visited quoted at least 4-5 week for custom work and it would be cutting it too close for comfort. Jos. A. Bank has the Custom Express 1905 for just this situation, a custom tailored suit that can be ordered and delivered in 7 days or less. There's less design options but it will be perfectly fit for you. The staff greeted me when I came through the door and was very attentive (but not in a desperate salesman way). I discussed my options with them and when I left to think about it, there was no pressure to buy right away, the salesman gave me a card and told me to come back whenever I was ready.
