Or "well, the 'in stock' on the app isn't always up to date' so. I don't know what to tell you!" Why not teach them to say, "I don't know the answer but let me help you find someone who does!" WalMess! This is my local WalMart. For the past 4 years, I can say they remain consistently disorganized and messy. Primarily in the personal care section of the store. Hair care, skin care, pharmacy area. Mostly that area. Just a disaster at times. The grocery section is good though. So if you're just doing some grocery shopping or maybe need some home goods, you should be in the clear. Would I go back? Of course. It's my local WalMart. Look... if you've been to more than one WalMart, you know what you're walking into. I travel the country a lot. I always find that when I'm in a WalMart, in any location, I would not easily identify what geographical location I am in. Try it sometime. They all seem to look the same. We attempted to check out with our Summacare OTC items and were refused at the Strongsville pharmacy. We were told that 5 items or less and that we would have to go to the regular (long line) checkout. I had 5 items regardless. This policy was not posted. Nor was there a line behind us. This is a similar situation to what customers were being treated at the Parma store and management at the time had assured us this would not be an issue. 7/2/24 at about 4:20 PM once again the same issue as in Parma ... refused service/checkout at the not so busy pharmacy. Apparently this store as well as the Parma store are having issues with pharmacy employees refusing to service healthcare OTC. We are NOT looking for an apology from the business but rather corrective action for the consistent customer service nonconformances we (and others) have been experiencing. read more

I came here to buy some simple lamps because I was in the neighbourhood. My experience was nice and I was really happy with how clean this particular Walmart was because some others that I have been to have not been that clean. Anyway, I did some grocery shopping too and found that experience wonderful. At one point, I had to stop to ask one of the employees there where I could get a fruit bow (a bowl to out fruit in) and I was directed exactly to the right place (after being misdirected by a precious employee). Overall, no complaints. I hardly shop at Walmart actually so I'm glad that coming to the Strongsville location was a smooth shopping experience. read more

Very unhappy! Ordered groceries and paid for Walmart plus service. First order delivered to my neighbor 2 doors down. Luckily they were honest and found it name on the order saw our name on the order and brought them to me. More today I put in an order and it's nowhere to be found. The store doesn't know where it is. Store won't answer the phone. Called 1800 number and they put me off all day. Saying it was coming. 930 at night no groceries! Great it is the day before Easter! Little do they tell you that it's 3rd party service that delivers your groceries. And they don't know what service company picked it up So I tried to cancel the service I paid for a year last month. They said no refunds. What a bunch of crap. They dont care about anything except your money. But I can pay more to them to have an employee from the store deliver and not 3rd party. This store is a hot mess. For being in a semi-affluent community, they should be embarrassed. Shelves are a disaster, things are not where they should be and most of the 'personal shoppers' are carrying on personal conversations on speaker phone and/or facetime. The store is dirty and it is just gross and they don't stock the shelves. The stores nearby in Parma and Cleveland are in much better shape and better stocked and definitely much cleaner. read more

I would give them a 0 if I could. Employees are horrible. We had 4 employees hawking us at the self check out for no reason. Then had another employee ask us for our receipt at the door. Maybe you should go back to human beings at checkouts and stop accusing innocent people of stealing. This store is terrible for Spark drivers. Constantly this store is sending out orders for delivery for one reason or another that the store doesn't have when I get there. I come here because it's open 24/7, and they have a big selection. Maybe the read these because I found the produce section looked much better this time. Maybe not, since the store is still littered with pallets, everywhere. Regardless, there are just so many cracks. A person flying around a corner almost hit my father while pulling a giant pallet. She screamed to watch out and he jumped out of the way. In the U.S., we travel on the right side of the road. Here, they come down both aisles pulling their giant pallets. Either walk down an aisle out of the way, or have one of these mouth breathing mutes (at least, they never spoke to me) stand there and stare at you. I asked where the locks were (about to fly) and being as polite as can be, the dude said as little as humanly possible. The best part was also the worst. My cashier was super sweet. The ONLY nice person there. I won't say her name, because this nice person didn't ID anyone in my group. My father is clearly old enough to buy alcohol, but I am definitely not 40, not was the girl I was with. Same with tobacco. She looks like she's 18...no ID check for anything. The freezer section is crap. The ice build up implies they may carry mastodon meat, and almost every single ice cream that isn't more ice than cream is damaged. 1 star is too much. read more

The parking lot design is ridiculous and unsafe, they finally put a few stop signs in after years and years. They have no sidewalks to easily get to the store so you have to walk in the road and through the middle of a parking lot. It's a short walk from 2 massive apartment complexes yet no sidewalk. Driving isn't much better, whoever designed this whole area is an idiot. They must be the same person that did the area near costco. Going inside the store you find the designer must be related to the parking lot designer, tons of choke points, store workers with this tower of baskets for online shopping that makes shopping take forever in store bc the isles are just big enough for one cart to go through at that point so everyone is apologizing to each other. Your tactic of keeping people in the store longer to buy more doesn't work bc we can't even see the products, being convenient is what sells more products. Pro tip, go late at night to help avoid a lot of this. Your greeters never really acknowledge me or give a smile like walmarts used to be like. I don't feel welcome entering the store. If they try to check my reciept when I leave I ignore them like they did to me when I entered. The good part is close to the door, they have decent deli and cooked food options, the workers in this department always seem much happier than others. Dollar breads are really good, along with seasoned fries, mozz sticks, chicken tenders. Really this section is the gem of the store, and the produce also right there. See what I mean about being convenient selling more? It's called word of mouth advertising. Bathrooms have been in good shape but I used them very little in the years. Parking lot is usually clear of trash. Conclusion: It's walmart, you know what you are getting into. They sell tons of stuff and it's pretty close to me otherwise I'd just hit up Giant. The online pickup is way in the back, and the 3rd sibling of the parking lot designer must have designed the website bc it's annoying and trash so I rarely use it. Instantly frustrating, sometimes even bringing me to the mobile website on desktop. It's no way to treat Sam Waltons legacy. read more

Highly do NOT recommend their grocery pickup. While you would think this would be convenient and save you time, that is far from from the truth. The grocery pickup is unorganized and understaffed. I have sat in my parking spot for over an hour on at least two occasions before I realized it's not worth it. Even if you give the employee who answers the phone your stall number, you will still have multiple employees come up to your car and ask you your last name. Last time I did curbside pick up I waited 40 minutes. Didnt have all the groceries ordered. Went inside and found them myself on the shelf. Today thought I'd try it one more time. I got there at my pick up time. The order was not ready. I called and was told they would be out as soon as possible. I waited 15 minutes and called their customer service and was told someone would come out and speak with me. No one did. At 50 minutes into it, I called customer service again. Ended up cancelling the order. Was put on hold while they did this. When she came back on the line she said, yes, there was a 2 hour delay. Absolutely no communication. Last time I came in here to buy something an employee came up to me and SCOLDED me! I looked at shoes and set them back on the shelves and looked through some pants but apparently didn't put them back folded super neatly. This older lady came up to me like she was following me and started scolding me about making a mess apparently and asking me "do you know how long it takes to fold those pants?" I didn't leave any shoes on the ground in a giant mess and with the pants, every customer will pick them up and look at them to check size and to see! Is everyone suppose to stand there and perfectly fold everything they pick up. I just set it back on the shelf ontop of the other same sizes. I've seen so much worse of people making messes and things falling on the floor and they didn't do anything about it. Do you try to scold every customer that comes in?? This used to be one of the nicer supercenters in the area, but has gone downhill fast. This store used to be clean, well stocked, & well organized, but not anymore, This store is dirty, produce is not kept in stock, and the deli & bakery counter never have anyone to help you. When I did finally get someone to help me at the deli, they put my deli meat directly on the scale, contaminating the meat. How could you not know that you should put the meat on paper, and not directly on the dirty scale? I also asked an employee for help one time, and they said they would be right back, never to return. This is the kind of service that you get at Walmart. I blame the management, because this used to be a nice store! They also recently closed off the electronics department, which is an inconvenience to the customers. While I still shop here because some of the things that I buy are cheaper at Walmart, this store needs work! Get it together Strongsville Walmart management, get it together! read more

It has to be a management issue at this horrible excuse for a store. When you order an item online for in store pickup, people tell you to walk to the garden center to where the online orders are, you get there then they basically shoo you away and tell you you have to drive around. Well, where you drive around, it is to the reserved spots with a phone number. Ok cool, now you think you can call someone and eventually get your order. Nope. You call the number and no one even answers. This is especially ridiculous when it was not a scheduled slot. Just an order that you recieve an email that it is ready for pickup. Then the very few people they have filling orders don't bother to ask if they can help you when they see you out of your car, clearly seeking someone who can give clarification. At that point you start getting highly irate because you cannot get a single answer from someone who might actually know something. Then they find it funny. Guess what. I had purchased an electric heater for my elderly father who had resorted to using a propane heater in the house to avoid turning the heat in the entire house up higher. So this was an incredibly stressful incident that did have to involve 2 people raising absolute hel! to simply get correct guidance for picking up an online order for 1 item! I will say, the man, Collin who was finally able to bring the item out actually listened to WHY this was incredibly confusing and frustrating. If you people would perhaps train your employees of what is going on beyond whatever is directly under their noses, then perhaps one could accurately direct someone instead of just pointing in a direction to just shoo someone away. And when they see someone obviously is trying to seek clarification, to not blatantly ignore them until they are pushed to a snapping point. Of like 6 employees, Colin was the only one to display a shred of human decency. Shame on you Walmart if you are either treating employees so poorly , they cannot even be decent human beings or, you just do not care about any standards of organization. I have been shopping at Target more and more for this very reason. Even your stores in suburban areas are becoming so ratchet and poorly managed, I am hearing of more and more people who are going their less and less. Your selfishness and reprehensible management will be your downfall. And if you cannot handle buy on line and pick up in store orders that are not scheduled, then don't offer that option. It's really that simple. Also, I tried calling the regular store and no one even answered that phone. Then you wonder when stressed people get fighting mad. Shame on you, your Strongsville store in particular. Not only that. It's been over a month that your restrooms in front have been out of service. There is absolutely zero excuse for what your store is becoming and it most certainly reflects that your organization has zero business value apart from making that almighty dollar. I always love coming here. This is my number 1 Walmart of choice. I can go into the store it is always clean and has everything I am looking for. The employees are so nice and helpful and the people who shop there are the same. I am glad I have a nice clean Walmart to go to. Horridly unhelpful employees. We stood in the self checkout line for five minutes with a malfunctioning register. It insisted we had an unknown item and needed an employee to clear it out. In those 5 minutes we watched a cluster of 5 employees stare at us from 4 aisles away. No apologies when one finally came over to help, didn't even say a word or make eye contact. Grocery pickup is convenient but super slow at this location. I don't know if they are understaffed or what but you end up waiting a really long time for them to bring your stuff out. And even though you plug in your parking spot number and car color they always come to the wrong car first. read more

Since Walmart started the whole grocery pick up thing, it's been excruciatingly annoying to shop there. The carts with the totes on them are everywhere, always in the way. We used to shop there almost every weekend, but now we hardly ever go there. The last time was after 8:00 in the evening, and it was wonderful, since the pick up shoppers stop at 8:00, but that's not the time we normally do our shopping. Once in a while I order something online, but I certainly don't spend the money I would if it was tolerable to go into the store. I wonder how many customers they have lost because of the clustered conditions in the aisles. Maybe they should close the stores to walk-in traffic and just do pick up and delivery! read more
