My visit was quick because I ordered my item online about 5 days prior so I only came into the store to pick up my order. I was in and out of the store in about 10 mins. STORE SIZE -- The store is fairly large and well organized. Everything appeared clean and neat. ORDER ONLINE and PICKUP AT STORE -- I ordered a workout set (exercise set) online and had it shipped to the store for pickup since that option was free compared to shipping it to my apartment which I would have had to pay for shipping. I arrived at the store to pickup my order which was a smooth process. When I entered the store, the employee greeted me then I provided my ID and she gave me my workout set. I asked to try it on first so she showed me to the changing room. It fit perfectly so I thanked her then left. Shipping to the store usually takes 5-7 days because the item came from one of their warehouses. My order, I believe was shipped from their Columbus (Ohio) store or Columbus Warehouse. WORKOUT SETS -- My workout is super cute. It is a bra plus pants which have a thick material. It is light green with white accent. I never actually shop here because I feel that most of their clothes are for teenagers but for exercise outfits, Abercrombie has really cute sets. I found out about the workout set that I bought from someone who was wearing it at a reformer fitness studio. She wore the shorts version and I really loved it so I decided to buy it. SOME LIMITED OPTIONS -- I wish the store carried more varieties and sizes for their workout sets because then I wouldn't have needed to order my outfit online to be shipped to the store. The store had the actual workout set that I ordered but they didn't have the exact colour and size that I wanted. Okay, she isn't required to wear one, she chooses to wear one: Abercrombie, Hollister, Aeropostale. Nearly every tween and teen wears the exact same sweat-shop rags, in lock-step with their culture. Sad, yet there I stood, in The Abercrombie & Fitch store. But to describe this experience as having taken place in a "store" is to miss so, so much of the marketing ploy. You walk UP into this place, as if onto a porch, decide if you will turn left, into the girl side, or right into the boy... then into a series of dimly-lit, wood-paneled rooms. I think they're trying to make it seem as if it could be someone's home, someone who loves to blast club music, someone with a whole lot of friends who stand around folding and re-folding clothes. Someone who subsists on an IV drip of perfume, that then exudes from their pores and defiles everything it touches. This is sensory manipulation at its most crass and exploitative. (Kids love it.) We found a nice coat, bought it and left. I still feel dirty. You see, Abercrombie sells one thing, above all else: Sex. The merch is all about the sex, the animatronic store staff is all about sex, and it sickens me. The ads are a never-ending homage to the "half-naked boy" concept dating back to Mawky Mawk, or the "two beautiful people stuck to each other" concept. Either way, it is another in a series of cultural attempts to sexualize young people. One of the songs blasting from the walls cooed: "We'll make love on the living room floor while your parents sleep." Whuh? Jeez, now I'm even MORE depressed.

Great selection of items from kids toys to home items. They even have a great food selection. There prices still seem higher than some other big box stores but you are still able to find some good deals. There was one register to have a person ring you out the rest is self serve. They had clean restrooms.

The box inside had multiple coffee and dirt stains and the wrist band on both sides were dirty. I drove back to the store and told customer service about it. The store associate there said she was the one who boxed it. She noticed the box was open, but thought it was returned without being used. I'm confused...if an item has been opened and then returned, shouldn't it be considered used? I don't understand how the dirt on the box and the obvious dirt on the wrist band was missed. Anyway they had one more of the color I wanted and I didn't have a problem exchanging it for a new one.
