This is my first time going to this brand new Publix and I was so impressed. They have so much lunch options. I will definitely come back to try the Ramen soup and the sushi. I noticed they have a lot of different flavors. They have $5 sushi on Wednesday as well. They have a second floor seating where you can enjoy your meal. I love how new everything looks and love the layout. They also have a drive thru pharmacy. I would definitely go back this Publix location.

Love the upgrade and the new design Publix is adopting. This is my second time since they opened yesterday. This location is much more spacious than the previous one. It's organized and clean. Been waiting for the completion for months. Please be aware that there may be loose nails lying around. I had to get a new tire after visiting the grand opening.

Phone call for the original cake order and the minutes on the call...

Bakery Review. Unfortunately when someone doesn't care about their job, the customers will get the short end of the stick. I called yesterday and spoke with a lady named Chanta, in the bakery. I had a cake made at a different Publix and wanted to see if my local publix can do the same. This lady stated her honesty of not knowing, but proceeded to take my order. She gave me a pick up time and also stated someone will call me the next day to verify. It is now "the next day" oddly no calls, so I reached out and spoke with someone else. They said my order was never placed. Insinuating that I called the wrong publix, I told her I went into my recent contact. This absolutely the correct location, no cake order was placed. No one said sorry. This seems like it can be common practice for this bakery of unprofessionalism. Thanks for nothing. Smh incredible

Didn't know they sold beer by the bottle

This store is a very old and outdated Publix, as well as much smaller than every other store I've been to. It caters mostly to the senior community across the street. I've only been here a couple of times in the past few years, It used to be the closest store to me when I first moved to Florida. Now I only stop by when I need something and I'm driving past it. Associates are nice for the most part. Older, but edficient. Store looks clean, but it is old, so it feels a bit musty. Not a bad place when on a pinch. But note that they don't carry a lot of stuff because of their smaller size.

Publix Meat Dept sign of how Custom they are.

Had a fantastic experience in the meat department today. The manager herself, Lucas Goldsmith, helped me out. This was the second Publix I'd been to today searching for burgers with bacon and fried onions in them. The first Publix (4849 Coconut Creek Pkwy) told me that they didn't make that kind as they didn't sell well and had made all the burgers they were going to make for the day. Translation: I couldn't get what I wanted. At this store, Lucas and her crew weren't making burgers and didn't have any made. But the sign in Publix indicates "full service...". She and her team mean it. She asked us to give her 10 minutes or so and she'd make them. Next thing I i know she's running around the store gathering the ingredients (pre-cooked bacon and fried onions). She got a big pile of fresh ground beef, assembled everything and the next thing I knew, 4 hefty burgers were produced. Service is why I like to go to Publix. Prices are higher, but when you get what you ask for, it's hard to want to go elsewhere.

Items expired for at least 2 Months + BAD Customer Service
    Jenny T.

Purchased 2 items the other day amongst other items which I paid $76 for in total. One item expired last FEBRUARY 28 and the other one, a refrigerated item expired on JUNE 26. ??!!!??? Not happy that I have to expose myself out in public during a pandemic just to return these items but Publix merchandise are not cheap as we all know and I wasn't going to waste my hard earned money on expired food that could make my family sick. The customer service staff ERIN showed no empathy or care whatsoever which is sad. NO apology, not even a one word sorry. After I explained how frustrating this is, she only said "It's not like we do it on purpose". Didn't expect this kind of apathy from a PUBLIX employee. This made me regret spending my money at Publix. This is also the 3rd time I've unknowingly purchased an expired item from this store. It's just not something you expect from a Publix. For the prices they charge, there should be red carpet all over the aisles! Never again unless I am desperate and this is the only store open on the planet. Now I'm doing myself a favor and shopping at a nearby Walmart Neighborhood Store where they only sell grocery items. Comparing prices between the two, I see that Publix charges AT LEAST a dollar more than Walmart on MOST items such as a Duncan Hines cake mix, butter etc. At least if I get bad customer service at Walmart, I can still smile knowing I saved precious dollars!

Average quality, high prices. Their old location was bomb and this one is a dud…read more In my humble opinion, the pompano store rocked. 80% of their items were fair priced and 20% were great bargains! They always encouraged me to come back, and I did. Quality is OK day-of. Most of it needs to be eaten quickly. For instance their watermelon or mangoes wont be good after a week. That's fine but $5.99/small melon or $1/mango are almost as bad as publix. Not quite but almost. Where's the deals? If its expensive, Where's the high quality? I respect their game and wish them luck but sadly its a closed chapter for me. Its not that im not going to return out of spite, but I wont be returning simply because there's no point to. Theres no deals or anything amazing anymore. Best of luck

More like a 2.5 today. It's sad because I really liked shopping here…read more I don't know what happened to the store. They used to have beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables, a nice freezer section. I even bought a tomato tree here once. I don't come often since it's not close, but every once in a while when I'm going to Costco, I'll just drive down a little bit further and stop in and pick up some things. I was so disappointed today. They've gotten rid of 99% of freezer section and they have the old cases for sale, so that's the end of that. Today they had long tables of garbage thrown on top and I'm not quite sure what it was, but people were digging through like it was some flea market garage sale. The entire store has changed and in my opinion not for the better. I was able to pick up a couple of avocados at 3 for a $1, a bag of potatoes so I can make mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving, some tomatoes, and that's about it. I did notice that they had a table full of hot pickle tomatoes that expired 9/20/2025 so that did it for me. I don't understand why you would put out food no matter what price it is, after the expiration date. The other thing that bothered me was the 4% fee for credit card. I know as a fact, if you have the right credit card processing you pay 1.9%. They also had a tip jar at the check out...for what... so the salaried employee can slide your purchases across a scanner and you can put the items in the bags you bring. No one packs your bags here and they don't even have plastic or paper bags. With all the fees, the prices aren't any less than TJs or Aldi. I know now, I don't ever have to drive down here again.

So I Got a few of the ribeye that were on sale to take to a friend's house to barbecue. threw them on the grill medium rare- they look beautiful but you couldn't chew them, they were tough as leather- I was shocked and embarrassed. they had a bunch of shrimp as well so we just fed it to the dogs. I called the store a few days later and talked to Jessica the store manager and explain what happened. she seemed to understand and said she would be happy to give me a credit back by looking at my purchase on the app if I didn't have my receipt. even offered to show me the different types of quality meats that they did carry. I explained I was a half an hour away and getting ready to go out of town for a few weeks she said no problem when you get back just come to the store if I'm not there talk to the manager up front and will take care of you. she was very nice and apologize. today I called she was not working but the lady up front was very friendly and told me no problem to come on up. I drove over spoke to her initially got a few things and went to check out. at that point a manager named Nestor came to talk to me about this return. He started questioning me. asking me to show him in my phone log where I called the store. now it had been several weeks cuz I've been out of town and I have hundreds of phone calls and I thought that was ridiculous. Almost accusing me of trying to defraud him out of $20 of crap meat. I've never been approached like that by anybody in management at any grocery stores that I have visited in my 50 plus years of South Florida. it seemed to escalate as I explained to him I was disabled with a spine problem and I was tired of dealing with this. he seemed to shrug it off and continued harassing me. At this point he offered to pay the $20 out of his own pocket and I clearly thought it was a red Winn-Dixie card he pulled out. he swiped the $20- again still arguing with me and I paid the difference and told him I would be contacting corporate as well as Jessica the store manager this week. as I walked out he said if I tell myself I'm not disabled it would go away something in that manner. which I thought was not only idiotic, but quite offensive for someone that has a disability. I do not understand how a person of this nature could be in charge of a store. I have worked my whole life in retail, corporate, and owned my own business. there is clearly something wrong with this so-called manager on a mental level. He seemed passive aggressive, controlling, condescending , accusatory, borderline abusive to me as a customer. with employees like this I can see why there are less than a handful of stores left that are open. You would never hear a Publix, fresh market even in Aldi's employee talking in that manner.I guess they're all types in this world. I will contact corporate and I know I won't be returning to the store ever again.

The target market here are Caribbean people. Along with the grocery, there is a small café, and hot food deli, mostly Hispanic/Caribbean foods. This is my go to store for poultry. It's very in expensive, and I like the quality. You can find daily specials as well. There is also a meat/fish counter, where you can order what you want by the pound. Now, cleanliness... as soon as you hit the door, you are hit with a stench, but to be fair, the ventilation in this entire plaza sucks. I used to own a small thrift shop in the same plaza and could never get rid of the stench, as the same for my shop neighbors at the time. But being that this is a grocery store, makes you wonder where is the stench coming from, lol. For me, it's not that bad where I won't come here. It's a very dated building, and could use a remodel and some new tile. When it comes to service, I've only interacted with the cashiers, and depending on who you get, you may or may not to get a hello. I only found it rude when the cashier does not greet me or say anything, just scans my items and hands me the receipt, but she then says "Hola " to the customers behind me. Hmph. With all of the negatives, this is still my go to spot for poultry. Your money could go a long way here.
