This is a pretty average Walmart. It was on the slightly dirtier side of average. I'm not a fan of the self checkout areas. The staff was basically nonexistent. Some of the shelves were a little bit empty. The people that were shopping there were a selection of townies and a few tourists. The grocery selection was average for Walmart. I stopped in there because I needed to grab some fresh fruit for the drive back to Jacksonville. I don't think I would go back unless I really needed to. read more

So I went to Walmart to buy a phone card for my employee we punched in the pin number in the back of the card and it said that the card is not active so we called straight talks customer service and they told us that the card is not active to return to the place where I purchased it from so I did we went straight to customer service first thing we have to deal with is one rude employee witch was being condescending she said that they don't own the company they just sell them there and will not be exchanging or refunding anything in an aggressive manner. I did not get this employee so I asked for the manager so she made us wait for about 15 to 20 minutes I heard her tell another employee that all the managers is going to do is repeat what she said while I'm waiting another employee come to the customer service to complain the she is not Walmart decorater. the manager finally came the rude employee filled her in on the details so thinking I would get help she came and said it doesn't matter if it worked or not that she will not be exchanging or giving credit she was no help another manager heard the way she was talking and he said if it was him he would have just gave me a credit gift card but he didn't want to override her. All she cared about was putting up holiday decorations she walk away. What a joke that manager fiona has no customer service at all. very unpleasant person to deal with. The guy manager suggested go back to electrics and see if they missed a step in activating the card so we did. he said I will be here when you get back. The employee at electric was helpful but he said he did everything correctly witch we didn't doubt him. Went back to customer service and the guy manager was not there only fiona was there but ignored us while we stood there now it been an hour and I asked an employee can she grab one of the managers and she stated fiona is right there so we asked to speak to her she refused while she continues to hang decorations I never seen a manager act like she did. Most Walmarts , in theory, should all get a 3/5 grade. However, this one was built in 2014 so it is slightly newer and 15% cleaner than most. Before this one existed, the closest Walmart to me was the Fletcher one. That one has limited parking and used chicken wings flying into your windshield. Also, its super crowded. This one has ample parking and is only sharing it with the Wawa. The fact that there is a Wawa adjacent and nothing else is convenient for those who want to get gas and groceries in the same trip. This Walmart is a 15 % better stocked than Fletcher imo. While the stock of a Walmart is determined by how ambitious the stocking team is, this one is a cut above the rest in terms of groceries, health items, and toys lol. Whoever works in toys deserves some props. While Target is generally better, this Walmart is one of the best in terms of stocking new Transformers compared to Fletcher and the one on Dale Mabry near the Bearss intersection. The employees are %15 more friendly here. Consider most WM employees act like prison guards, that's a great compliment imo. If Publix wasnt expensive, I would probably go there, but then again , I wouldnt find any Transformers there lol Cons As with almost all WM's, they have very few cashiers in evenings and on Weekends. Fri/Sat nights - dont go there expecting to get out quickly. The Customer Service line is also glacial in terms of service. The parking lot is large and there are sometimes beggars or scammers asking for money. Stay alert. read more

A tad bit cleaner than some of the other WM stores around. This one is located right behind Wawa near I-275. Easy to get in and out. Plenty of parking available. Large WM with grocery and garden. We went in to look for me some tanks since we were in the area. Walmart in this area is at the corner of the highway exit is easy to get to. In addition, they are kind in the independent property which has no close by business except Wawa. Its location make a good center to serve the Lutz and lake Magdalene. This place has plenty of parking. I like easy access. The store is organized. The goods are well displayed and sign is clear and direct. Plenty of check out counter to help people paid. This Walmart has grocery, bakery, hot deli. It is convenient to make one stop location for housewives. We were here to small area door mat and the veggies. Our experience on the checkout is pleasant. Only a little wait. It was close to valentine day and pink color everywhere. Including the flower, balloons, stuff toy and card. Very festive. read more

I have tried to cancel delivery on ones that are charged a delivery fee but they stated I have to return to the store. I am investing in the yearly membership b/c I am recovering from an accident that precludes me from driving for the next 6 months. Thus I am being charged double the price: item + the delivery fee. Why does Walmartsmeat coolers always smell like rotting, spoiled meat? Been like this for at least a year or more. Every time you walk by meat coolers ,you want to puke! Went there this week and workers were finally removing the products from coolers and putting the into other coolers, however the meat in those coolers was barely cold. The big wall coolers were empty, so I thought finally they are cleaning and fixing the coolers. No! Meat and coolers still smell like rotten meat! It's not just me other customers also smelled it! The newest of the Wal Mart Super centers in the area, it is by far one of the larger format stores. Clean, it's not had a chance to get mucked up yet. The store is well stocked. It's on the corner of Us41 and Bearss avenue making it a good location for the slightly rural area of Tampa that it's in. I hope that they'll maintain it to some degree, else it will turninto a ghetto fabulous walmart in no time. read more

Our second walmart we have been to in the area to get paint and I ask someone to call someone for paint help in the electronics section and they call someone on the intercom. So I go back and wait for paint to be mixed and six walmart employees walked by us without once making eye contact with us or even asked if we have been helped. We waited 10 more minutes after that until finally we just left as our presence wasn't even acknowledged once. Terrible customer service we will take our business else where. I walked into this Walmart today not expecting a Whole Foods or Target experience But not expecting the woman manning the front door to be so aggressive and angry. I tried to be extra polite with her but that just made her more disrespectful and rude to me. Honestly I just wanted to exchange a $20 pair pants. No I didn't have the receipt but used my debit card and if Sam's can look it up that way , I'm sure you can as well. Really 20$ is nothing to me , seriously I can donate the pants, not a big deal but for somebody else $20 probably is. I've been to this Walmart a handful of times since it was opened. For the most part it is well kept and the lines seemingly move quicker than what I'm used to. Universally I think Walmart makes a point to shut down several lanes at the least opportune time. It's evident they are in transition from back to school schooling to setting up Labor Day. With that said the isles could be a bit more organized. Navigating through the store is already a task due to the large crowds at any given moment it doesn't help having to circumvent pallets of merchandise as well. This Walmart is about to change my mind about the Walmart Superstore brand! I went into this location because I wasn't far from it to bring back some things that I bought for Christmas. I didn't have a receipt but they were able to look up my purchases through my credit card. From the time I entered the door, every employee was so friendly. The greeter was polite and showed me where to go. I went to customer service to make my return and the cashier was efficient and professional. The store is super clean and put together. Is this a new store? I walked around the whole store just so I can get a feel for the store in general and every section was clean, tidy, and in order. I checked out the produce and all of it looked fresh! Which can't be said for a lot of Walmart produce. :-( It wasn't very crowded for Tuesday and it didn't take long for me to make my purchases. Tried to use the electric carts around 9pm tonight, as I have an intestinal condition that was acting up and was in pain walking. I was quickly questioned by the yellow vested woman with long grey hair. She said "you better be getting that for someone else." And gave me the look of you definitely don't need that. There is one employee here who is super friendly (girl in her late 20's?) and always greets you if you cross her path somewhere in the store. Just about every Super Walmart carries the same stuff and they all look pretty much the same. What separates one from the other is the staff. Namely the checkers. In my case today, the one time I actually bought a 2 L bottle of soda the cashier put it in with my romaine lettuce. :-( of course I said something, nicely. And she looked at me as if I were an idiot. So I very nicely said "2 liter bottle of soda and vegetables in the same bag mean bruised vegetables or destroyed lettuce". So I separated the two into different bags. Paid my bill and then I left. Don't they teach cashiers and people who bag groceries how to do it properly? That was a hypothetical question because obviously the answer to that is no. Very frustrating when you like your vegetables fresh and crisp and not bruised before you get home. read more

This Walmart is the worst by far. Around 10:30pm they only have 3 checkout lines open, with at least 10 people+ in each line. I saw at least 10 other sales associates working there at this time. And our sales associate by the name of Jerrica, was very rude when I asked why there was only 3 lines open with this many people. Will never come here again. read more

I have become a fan of the convenience and friendly staff help at this location. The parking is a bit crowded but if you enter off of Nebraska there is a light that makes ingress and egress easy. They are really helpful here and always are quick volunteer knowledgeable assistance. The garden center people are really nice. I like the extra security at this store given the location. There are no crowds early so its a great time to shop. Weekends are typical Walmart crazy. read more

Today, Sept. 28th, I called this Walmart to speak to someone in Electronics. The phone kept ringing and ringing. Finally the automated menu kicked on and asked me if I wanted to redial them again. I proceeded to do so. After another dozen rings, Walmart's phone system kicked me over to customer service. It rang over there for several minutes with NO ONE picking up the phone. I asked if she was going to help me out with the 8 40lb bags of softener salt and she said she would "TRY" to find someone to help me. We have bought several televisions at this location during very busy season (Christmas). The electronics people were awesome, calm, took their time. I do not know how they did not just scream with everything going on, however, they were awesome. So maybe next time I can get them to check me out with my groceries too??? I am always at the store. The location is so convenient and is in a god location. The staff is very nice and helpful. Whenever I am looking for something, they walk me to where it is. If the shelf is out of an item I need, a stock person always checks the back for more or lets me know when they will be back in stock. I like that a lot of their produce is locally grown and taste good. Self checkout is always quick and easy. Like any other Wal Mart, they have long lines. The story is very clean, but there are carts everywhere on the parking lot. read more

I mainly use this Walmart for grocery shopping. Fairly organized and produce appears to be fresh. Mostly clean, but definitely can lack the number of available associates. Lacks in its frozen selection. I usually need to go to a publix to complete my shopping. The use of self checkout is very convenient when I'm only running in for a few items. read more
